‘Were there really this many evil people in the world?’

I haven’t missed a book by Jordyn Redwood since I read her first. Here, she gives her readers some pretty intense, non-stop suspense as the characters try to survive a bad guy who has no intention of stopping until he achieves his hateful goals. Well done!

My thanks to the author and publisher for a copy of this book. The opinion in this review is my own.

Whoa -- intense from the very first page -- both in the suspense and emotionally for both hero and heroine. But it's Liam's struggles that really touched me. He feels irrevocably broken and unworthy of the kind of future he once dreamed about. In some ways, Ashlyn was the shadow of a dream, a 'what if' things were different.

They haven't met in person, but Ashlyn has been corresponding with Liam for three years while he served overseas. The two have shared a lot about their pasts and their hopes for the future but never dreamed they'd actually meet under the kind of circumstances that has Ashlyn running for her life, and Liam worried he'd fail her.

The dynamics in this romance kept me on edge right to the very end. It doesn't pan out the way most Love Inspired Suspense romances do, and I appreciated the difference. (No worries, there's still a HEA) For all that they've never met, Liam and Ashlyn know a lot about each other so there's this wonderful mix of awkward getting-to-know-you-in-person vibe meshed with an I-know-some-of-your-secrets vibe. Made for an emotional roller coaster of a read.

Then there's sweet little Emory, Ashlyn's innocent niece who is caught in the crosshairs of a dangerous enemy. Pulled at my heartstrings all the more! Loved the edginess of the suspense married with the emotional conflict within the characters -- especially Liam. Riveting!

i wonder if the writer is a nurse who believes in god; i couldn’t really tell (oh… that’s why they got married in a week!). this book was all about “telling” and lacked any semblance of “showing”. i had no reason to care about the characters and certainly not their love story. the plot had by far the most unbelievable and choppy progression i have ever read. i cannot believe this has almost a 5 star rating. this was a waste of 5 hours of my life and the worst book i’ve ever read. i wish i had never touched it. to make it worse: the ending was a more painful version of the pregnancy trope.

Jordyn Redwood never disappoints her readers.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and encourage readers to put it on their TBR list.
The interest in the story started strong and didn’t let itself go until the very end.
I’ve been a longtime fan of this author and will continue to be.
She knows how to make her characters come to life and gives you the opportunity to either love or hate them.
Thank you for the ARC. Keep on going Jordyn!

It has been awhile since I read a book by Jordyn Redwood. I wasn’t very many pages into Christmas Baby Rescue before I remembered how much I like her books. Her character and plot development are excellent, especially within the requirements of the shorter mass market Love Inspired books.

The author pulled me right into the action almost immediately and I was taken on a breath-taking adventure along with Liam and Ashlyn as they worked desperately to stay alive while protecting her infant niece. I followed them through various plot twists and a surprise or two along the way to the satisfying conclusion.

I loved the fact that hero Liam was handicapped by PTSD and felt inadequate to protect Ashlyn and her niece but he persisted even when circumstances threatened to send him into an episode on more than one occasion. Ashlyn’s determination and compassion were admirable. It was also fun observing the development of a romantic relationship between the two.

I will definitely will not be waiting so long to read another book by this author and I recommend her to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by the author. A favorable review was not required. All views expressed are my own.

Filled with intense action scenes

Liam is holed up in his cabin in the woods when he heard a soft knock. After investigating, he finds an infant in a carrier and tracks leading away that also show blood splatters. Following this trail leads him to his military pen pal Ashlyn. From that point on, they are both fighting for their lives. Nothing is as it seems and the danger just keeps coming at them. Will Liam be able to save Ashlyn and keep the baby safe as well? Read this to find out.

The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a an action and character oriented storyline that has no steam. The characters are vivid and complex. The Christian ideals are a solid part of the whole storyline. This story made me sit back and go "Wow!" If you like Christian romances with a ton of twists and turns, along with lots of action and character development, then this is for you! Enjoy!

Christmas Baby Rescue is a Love Inspired Suspense that is written by Jordyn Redwood. The book draws you in within the first few pages and you will hear your heart pounding the whole time. The author did such a wonderful job in creating this story.
Liam and Ashlyn have been corresponding for three years while Liam has been serving overseas. The face to face first meeting does not go as planned since there is a lot of danger surrounding Ashlyn. Liam does not think he is the right person to protect Ashlyn and her niece.
The book contains a lot of heart pounding action and suspense. You will be on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Thank you to the author for a copy of the book - all thoughts are my own.

Breath-taking suspense that keeps you hooked from the first sentence until the very end! There are twists and turns, characters that you come to know and "root" for as they overcome obstacles and, of course, who can resist a baby thrown into the mix? Not only is this a contemporary story, it actually is a little scary thinking that some of these events could be going on. To find out what those events are, you have to read the book!! Jordyn Redwood has written a compelling suspense story that will keep you guessing what will happen next. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

Hold on to your copy because this book is bullet-train fast. It all started one wintery day when Liam discovers a baby at his front door. The days that follow take him to the woman who left the child in his safe hands while she hunted the killer of the baby's mother--her sister. To make matters worse, an Amber alert has been issued and the woman is accused of kidnapping the baby.

Yikes!

You'll whip through chapters. Dodge bullets. Crawl from burning embers. And hide from a dark web contract against the heroine's life. Without Liam's help and military know-how, she...could be dead.

Wowsers.

Highly recommend.

Liam Knight, the hero in Jordyn Redwood’s “Christmas Baby Rescue”, is one of my favorite heroes.

Liam believes he is broken, but Ashlyn Sutton doesn’t see him that way, trusting him to take care of her and her niece when someone is out to kill her.
Ashlyn is no wilting flower either. She has strength and faith and is the perfect match for Liam.

Ms. Redwood pens a story that has an interesting premise with damaged characters who learn through their faith and the help of others they are not their past.

Liam Knight is suffering from PTSD. He is a former Navy seal. Liam lives in a secluded cabin by himself. He's afraid of hurting someone when he has flashbacks. After finding a baby on his doorstep Liam goes looking for the babies aunt. Ashlyn is on the run with her niece after her sister disappears. Hired killers are after her and her niece. Liam does everything within his power to protect Ashlyn and the baby. This is a intense action packed story. I read this story straight through in one sitting. I highly recommend this exciting book.

Y'all may notice the huge leap in progress; the perk of reading a longish book where there's little to no phone service.
Anyway, the beginning felt that the progression/exposition was going fast or felt rushed, but it also felt really satisfying as it neared to the end. Gotta say, I didn't expect the book to be Christian, but it actually felt a bit necessary for the story; by the way, I'm Catholic. I actually felt worried for both protagonists through the twists and turns. My only other critique is that the Christmas holiday has little to do with, well, Christmas.

Superb story that grabbed my attention in the first few pages. Action packed throughout and also deals with very real issues- PYSD and autosomal recessive maladies. Very well written and defined recommended

A quick paced read. Just enough action sprinkled with romance. A perfect balance. The book also expertly deals with the hard subject of PTSD. I recommend this book

Intriguing plot. Did not realize the actual plot twist until the very ending. Love stories with babies and thus one did not disappoint. Enjoyed a clean story without graphic sex scenes or filthy language. Would willingly read more by Ms. Redwood.

A fast and intense suspense novel--perfect to fill your evenings as the days are shorter and the evenings longer. Liam and Ashlyn are great characters on the page--the depth that is shown in Liam's character and his struggles with PTSD and reliving what happened in Iraq really gave his character a lot of relatability and brought him to life on the page. I loved Ashlyn's heart to protect her niece and see justice done for her sister--all very relatable qualities. From car chases to kidnappings to contract killings to bomb threats, this small book packs a big punch.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 - read via paperback (autographed copy won from Kav’s Best Reads)

This was my first time reading this author. It started out with a bang but then it felt like it was all action for quite a while. Too much action. So many things were going on. I was feeling disconnected from the characters.

The latter third of the book was a lot better for me. I felt more connected to the characters and the theme of what a family truly is at its core. I absolutely loved the ending.

Page 194:
“Families are not just based on biological ties and genetic material.”

Page 206:
“Wishing for someday is
giving up on a lot of life
you could be living today.”
