The series Graphic Battles of World War II focuses in this book on the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, which got us into the war. Several personal anecdotes are included in the retelling of this horrific incident.

I like the way Steve White and Jerrold Spahn combined pictures and words to create a book about the history of the attack on Pearl Harbor. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves history.

I liked it because I like comic books. The reason I like comic books and this story is because i can't really imagine pictures, so they give me the picture with the action. In my book, it is about Pearl Harbor and how so many people died.

Steve White's Pearl Harbor: A day in Infamy is a historical graphic novel that allows deeper insight into the events that occurred with the attack on Pearl Harbor that December 7th in 1941. The book begins with a 5 page introduction into the war situation, and then delves deeper into the actual event itself. This graphic novel focused very much on the battle paraphernalia that was used, which as a more conceptual reader, I did not enjoy. The comic had no real plot line, and the graphics were not as historically accurate as one would expect with an event of such significance. Overall, I would not recommend this to anybody, perhaps only to younger readers who have no background on the event itself.

This book takes the big historical event, the day that will live in infamy, and presents it to children in an interesting way. This book breaks down the events that happened on December 7, 1941 by time and it mentions a lot of key people from that day. This book also begins by giving some information on what lead to the attack on Pearl Harbor, and at the end of the book it gives information on the aftermath of the attack.

I think this is appropriate for ages 8+

I would recommend using this book to introduce the attack on Pearl Harbor, it could be read at the start of the unit. I found this way of reading about an important date in history a fun one because I have never read, and rarely seen, a nonfiction graphic novel.

April Pearl Harbor :a day of infamy by Steve white

This book is about the shocking event that took place on December 7th. Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese by surprise. Lots of people died and there were lots of things damaged during the attack. The Americans were unaware of this upcoming attack so they were not prepaid for what happened. Pearl Harbor will always be remembered as on of the worst disasters that has happened to the United States.

The theme of this story is that you should always be prepared. The Japanese attacked the US when they were unprepared. If they were prepared for the attack nothing nearly as bad as what happened would've occurred. You need to be prepared so you are ready for the worst.
