I like the overall idea of this book, and the plot of the story could have been interesting. I'm going to guess that this book was self-published because the quality of the actual writing is lacking. It wasn't all bad, though. If anyone is wondering, this is a clean book. There's no swearing, sexual content, or violence. Unfortunately, I have two main complaints.
First of all, I feel like the relationship between Genna and West really wasn't developed. Genna is presented as being really reluctant to trust again and to allow herself to pursue a relationship. Yet, their relationship moves super fast. I wanted some development. I wanted them to pursue a friendship that slowly developed into something more. I got the impression that she wanted to present herself as standoffish, but that she was eager to jump into a relationship as soon as one was presented to her.
I also (unfortunately) felt like the writing style was very juvenile. Much of it felt like something written by someone in my sixth-grade English class. The conversations didn't feel real. The descriptions felt a bit choppy.
Overall, I was looking forward to enjoying a clean, country romance series, but I highly doubt that I'll be reading the other books in the series.
Sweet Lovin’ Cowboy by Hope Moore Billionaire Cowboys of Lone Star Texas Series Book One West Buckley has had his eye on Genna since she moved to Lone Star a year ago. He’d heard she didn’t want to date, so he kept his distance. Until now. When he found out she loved goats, he finally had an opening. He had many goats of all sizes and ages. Genna Barry is disillusioned about love. One bad apple had spoiled the whole bushel for her. Only, the handsome cowboy was always pulling her gaze to him. After helping out near the cabin she rented from the family, she found out he had goats. Not only handsome but something in common. How would she ever hold back from caring for this man? But she loved this small town and wouldn’t risk being rejected again by a man. A sweet romance that may bring a tear or two to the eye if you are like me. Love these stories. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...

Many people just decide to go through life afraid to take a chance to allow what could be your soul mate and miss out on this opportunity. Patience and support can be difficult to offer someone but the rewards far outweigh the cost! Hope Moore is very gifted at making you feel like you are watching everything unfold and why these characters react the way they do.

"Oh brother, was it obvious that he likes the woman?"
Love is here to stay and it was truly Genna's dream come true to have this sweet oh so goat-loving cowboy to call her own. Find your happy ending!
I enjoy Hope Moore and her cowboy series. Read Heart Love'n Cowboy: Billionaire Cowboys of Lone Star Texas, Book 2 to find out how the story continues. Happy reading.
The story is almost constant conversations. Each sentence is extremely over descriptive, so much so that you kind of get lost. I think it would be better if the text was simplified. I hate not finishing a book, but I almost moved it to my "finished reading" folder when I was less than half way thru the book.
This was a very nice small Texas town romance. She needed a new start and when she got out of her car and looked around she knew this town was going to be home. He saw her every day for weeks. He sat at the diner window hoping she'd come across the street. You'll love this sweet story.
Those book is sweet. West sets his sights on Henna the new girl in town and nothing and no one will stop him. Not even Henna who is a stubborn fool. With the help of his goats and their babies can he won her heart.?
This story was so pleasant to read because of the way the author described the people, the scenery, the animals and the situations. It was a treat to read because of the modern situations in a cowboy story. I can’t wait to read the next book.
This was a tedious book for me to read because there was too much narrative and not enough dialogue which tells me the author and her editor/proof-reader didn't spend enough time writing the book. I felt as if I were reading a summary for a novel.
This short book about Genna and West is a sweet HEA romance, but the writing feels awkward and the story doesn’t flow terribly well. It also needs editing. Lots of potential in the story; it just doesn’t live up to its potential.
A fun read complete with delightful friends, handsome cowboys and goats, a lot of goats! An enjoyable book with enjoyable characters and a delightful small community.
A sweet story cutely depicts the attention, attraction, and affection between two independent, like-minded individuals who are meant to be together forever!
Wow! A sweet, clean romance of starting over in a new town. Henna needs some place new to start over but she didn't plan on falling in love with the perfect guy.
This is such a fun romantic read! It takes place in the Texas Hill Country with lots of colorful characters that will follow through in the whole series!
Sweet Love'n Cowboy is the first book in the series..Billionaire Cowboys of Lone Star, Texas. This is a good clean romance story. This is the first book I have read of Hope Moore's and I will be reading more.
