Addison Fox welcomes you back to Rustlers Creek, where a handsome ranch vet’s long-ago love has finally returned, but soon he won’t remember all the years apart… or why he’s never been able to forget her.
Harper Allen has returned to Rustlers Creek but she’s not the heartbroken girl who left. After a successful career in Seattle, she’s back in her hometown to launch her coffee business with the help of her celebrity sister, the Cowgirl Gourmet. But Harper can’t escape handsome veterinarian Gray McClain, the man who broke her heart ten years ago and whose kisses still make her head spin.
Although Gray believed he knew what he was doing when he ended things with Harper, seeing her has made him question everything. He wanted more for her than a life with the son of a town drunk, but every moment with her is heaven. When a freak ranch accident causes Gray to lose some of his memory, he believes he’s spent the last decade with Harper, the woman he’s never stopped loving, instead of alone.
As Harper helps Gray return to health, she can’t deny she’s more in love with him than ever. But can she fight for the man of her dreams, even when he’s determined to let her go again? When it comes to choosing to forget or choosing to remember, Harper must show Gray she’ll always remember her cowboy.
Addison Fox can’t remember a time when words weren’t a part of her life. In addition to being an avid reader, she loves writing novels about strong-willed and exciting heroes and heroines – individuals who are meant for each other and who deserve their happy ever after. After she makes them work for it, of course!
First published in 2010, Addison has written across romance genres including paranormal, contemporary and romantic suspense. A romantic at heart, she’ll take her heroes any way she can get them – from ancient warriors to computer geeks to sexy cowboys. She’s not picky - but she is deeply grateful her readers are willing to come along for the ride.
Forget Me Not Cowboy by Addison Fox 2nd in the Rustlers Creek series. Contemporary romance. Partial amnesia troupe mixed with second chance. Best read as part of the series to avoid spoilers from the first book. The couple from the first book are present and involved. Harper returns home to start a business with her sister . Having her ex there isn’t something she can ignore. Especially after he’s hurt and he doesn’t remember their split.
There are several story lines running through this novel from both the hero and heroine and they partially merge as the couple comes together after his accident. Angst and the lack of communication seem to be the series standard. Some readers like angst. There were health reasons Harper couldn’t share certain things with Gray per doctor’s orders, and maybe that dictated what he would share too since he didn’t remember everything. He’s a good guy, or the horses wouldn’t trust him, right? It was clear they loved each other so I’m glad they were able to work things out in the end.
This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the second book in the Rustlers Creeks series. I found this book to be just ok, and the characters also did not stand out. I just wanted more from this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
I love second chance romances and throw in an amnesia trope I had high expectations. Sadly this book never raised itself beyond an average level. Harper Allen returns to her small Montana hometown. She left ten years ago and is successful as a tech wizard. Now her new coffee house business is growing fast using her algorithm skills in blending coffee. Her twin sister Hadley (MC in the first book of the series) is a star and known for a show on The Cooking Network. Hadley’s fame has made the town a tourist destination, along with her store where she sells her food and cooking merchandise. The twins are happy to be together again.
Gray McClain is the local vet. He broke Harper’s heart after pursuing her when she was home from college for summer. They were each others first real loves and he was the reason she fled to Seattle to start a new life. All that is a good set up but it never delivers beyond an a basic woman’s fiction. The story fill out with subplots following a romance for her dad and another feuding couple who I assume will be featured in the next book in the series. Gray is the classic son of an alcoholic, gambling father, whose mother left him as a child. As much as he loves Harper he never feels good enough for her. As the blurb says he ends up with a concussion where he doesn’t remember he and Harper ever split up.
When she is taking care of him during his memory issues I thought there would be potential for talking and connecting. Instead he is always trying manhandle her with her trying to keep her distance. One of the biggest things issues with Harper is she never know the reason for his original break up. And maddeningly the reader never gets that scene. In a big, out of character blow up between the sisters, Hadley tells Harper to fight for her man. It is a build up that again is wasted as her grand gesture is cute but in my mind doesn’t resolve anything. There is never a question these two still love each other. But in the whole book they never have a real conversation.
There is plenty of catch up and recapping the happenings of the previous book so this can easily be read as a stand alone. It is a good story with likable characters. It just could have been more. Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
“Forget Me Not Cowboy” is the second book in the Rustlers Creeks series by Addison Fox. In book one of this series, The Cowboy Says Yes, we were introduced to Rustlers Creek and Zak & Hadley Wayne (The Cowgirl Gourmet), now in this book we really get to know Hadley’s sister, Harper. Harper Allen has returned to Rustlers Creek but she’s not the heartbroken girl who left. After a successful career in Seattle, she’s back in her hometown to launch her coffee business with the help of her celebrity sister. However returning home is not always as easy as it sounds and Harper soon realizes that while her previously broken heart has healed, it has not learned to protect itself, and the heart wants what the heart wants which in this case is, Gray McClain.
Gray may have ended the relationship with Harper ten years ago but he never stopped loving her. Now that Harper is back in Rustlers Creek Gray realizes his love for Harper is unchanged yet he continues to doubt the wisdom of them being together. His previous ending of their relationship had to do with his love for her and because he wanted a “better” and “happier” life for Harper than he believed he would be able to provide. While I usually loathe this trope it works well with this couple and in this series. As with book one of the series the central theme of this story is about falling in love, being in love, and fighting to stay in love. It’s a story about relationships — past present and future — and how a change in a relationship doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
Then everything changes between Gray & Harper when an accident causes him to lose any memory of ever breaking up with Harper. He believes they have been together for the last ten years … What’s Harper to do?
I have to say I LOVED everything about this story! First, I really enjoy stories that make the characters work for their happily ever after, no insta-happiness or insta-love for me. 😉 Second, Angst is a wonderful thing and Fox knows how to deliver it! Third, Cowboy. Need I expand? 😍🤠 Fourth, I am an equestrian since a very young age and involved in horse rescue and rehabilitation, and I love that this story includes them. 🐴🐎 Fifth, Give me a MC with a bad past and slightly damaged soul — then allow him happiness. Perfection! Lastly, the amnesia trope makes for a nice twist to your typical romance.
Another great story about love.

Gray and Harper envisioned a life together -- at least Harper did -- until Gray broke up with her. Gray had decided he was holding Harper back, so he let her go. Ten years later, both had seemly moved on, but neither had developed a permanent relationship with anyone else. When circumstances push Harper into caring for Gray after an accident that left him with selective amnesia, they fall for each other again. Forget Me Not Cowboy is a sweet, emotional love story that I enjoyed reading and recommending.
Forget Me Not Cowboy is the second book in new-to-me author Addison Fox's Rustler's Creek series, so, of course, I have not read the first book in the series, which was referred to enough in this novel that I had some idea what it was about. It's a second chance at love romance with the addition of the amnesia trope, which is not a favorite of mine since it doesn't actually occur that often in real life, and it is just one of the reasons that this story and its characters really didn't resonate with me, and it's also the reason for my 3-star rating.
The main characters in this novel, are Harper Allen, a tech wizard who left her small town in Montana to move to Seattle to pursue her career after her first and only love, Gray McClain, abruptly ended their long-time relationship, leaving her heartbroken. Ten years later, Harper's older sister, Hadley is a Cooking Channel diva, with her own cookbooks, her own cookware line, her own knife sets, etc., and since her show is filmed at her Montana ranch, the town has changed markedly and become a tourist destination--certainly not what Harper remembered. Frankly, I'm guessing this was covered in the first book in the series and so I found it's repetitive mention in this novel a distraction.
In the ten years Harper has been gone, her love interest, Zack, has gone from being the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, son of an abusive alcoholic father, to becoming a large animal veterinarian, who is in the process of setting up a rescue charity for blind horses. He never forgot Harper, but because of her upbringing and his own, he didn't feel worthy of her. While meeting a blind, champion race horse for the first time, the animal gets spooked, rears up, and Zack ends up with a serious concussion. Harper volunteers to care for him at his home as he recovers, and, oh yes, he remembers a lot but not that he broke off their relationship 10 years earlier--he still believes they're deeply in love and lust, that Harper was never gone, and Harper, against doctor's orders, tries to jog his memory. To say that this plot is predictable is putting it mildly.
There is also a subplot featuring Harper's widowed dad and her high school gym teacher, another way to stretch this novel, but one that was totally unnecessary in this reader's opinion. There were also a number of other characters, other situations and a lot of talk about the success and popularity of Hadley's show and merchandise, as well as the new business making designer coffee blends that Harper decided on a whim to start, all of which seemed to stretch this story but which all seemed like a lot of filler and didn't add much to the basic story line. I'd have much preferred that the author stick to and develop her main characters and their relationship issues instead.
All in all, I'd have to say that Forget Me Not Cowboy was rather forgettable--not a terrible read, but not a great one either.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.
Harper Allen is back in Rustlers Creek after a decade away. She has made a success of her life and now has purchased a coffee business. Her sister Hadley is a gourmet cook and successful in her own right. The hard part about being in Rustlers Creek for Harper is seeing her lost love, Gray McClain. He was her first and only love and he broker her heart when he ended things with her. Now that she is back for a short time, she sees the man Gray has become and admires him even more. Is there a chance there could ever be more between them? Is it worth a chance to her wounded heart to try again?
I enjoyed the story in this book with all the friends and characters of Rustlers Creek. I felt like the story between Harper and Gray was a gradual build at a pace that would have been realistic. I did not like the continual f-bombs dropped. I felt they were completely unnecessary to the story and were a turn off to me. There is one descriptive sex scene in the book and at least one that is behind closed doors.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
I was glad to return to this small Montana community and get to explore Harper’s story. She has become an entrepreneur with applying science and Java. Sister Hadley is a huge success but Harper feels so,what inadequate. Especially when she comes to face to face with former flame, Gray. I love the former flame angle and the amnesia part because it always adds controversy and possible resolution. I was glad Martin wasn’t forgotten in the story line. It was a pleasant way to while away a cold afternoon by reading the hot pages of a cowboy vet and his Harper. Thanks to Avon and NetGalley for the advance read.
FORGET ME NOT COWBOY is the second in a series about a small town captivated by the success of two sisters, one a lifestyle TV sensation and the other a former tech worker, now beginning a sure fire coffee business. Both sisters grew up in Rustlers Creek and their good fortune translates into broad based benefits for the town. The writing is awkward and could have benefited from a good editor. There are just too many unnecessary characters, identified by name and relationship, for such a small town and a tight plot, involving really only a few people. The few main characters are introduced and then repeatedly referred to by first and last names; it’s a tedious repetitive detail that should have been removed. Romance tales rely heavily upon a handful of tropes (enemy to lover, fake lovers, fake marriages) and this book offers an underused one: amnesia. I would have enjoyed it more with a cleaner writing style. The author intends the series to continue and her main characters offer that potential. I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
Forget Me Not Cowboy by Addison Fox is a Rustlers Creek romance. This is a terrific series because the romances are not simplistic, much like real life. Harper Allen had been in love with Grayson McClain as long as she could remember. He had loved her in return until one day when he decided they had no future and sent her away. She had no choice, she ran. From Colorado Springs to Seattle where she forged a fabulous career in the tech industry. She had tired of the politics and since she had an idea, she quit her job and went with it. She had designed an algorithm that designed a customized coffee. She now had three stores and they were doing very well. She had come home to her sister and brother-in-law’s ranch and nearly the first person she ran into was Gray. He was now the local vet and had been in the barn with Zack, her brother-in-law.
There was still chemistry. She had to admit that. And he had done so well for himself. He had bought some property and was planning to open a rescue for blind horses. He just needed an employee. Harper’s dad, the local high school principal, had the perfect person: the former PE teacher who had retired. She had the perfect background. Gray agreed. He was a leader. He had the skills and the empathy to do this. He just needed help. They were circling each other; Harper and Gray. Was it going to happen? Certainly not before a lot of other things did. Harper had some growing up to do and Gray had to develop a little more self-confidence. It was a fun book: good plot, great characters, and great supporting cast. It had complications. I recommend it.

Book 2 in the Rustler's Creek series set in Montana. This book is full of second chance romances from the main character of Gray McClain, son of the town's most worst citizen who is now the large animal veterinarian on the ranch. His former girlfriend is the sister to the ranch owners Harper Allen. She is the daughter of the school principal who was raised by the father along with Hadley upon the early death of her mother. Harper moved from Montana to Seattle, Washington after her romance with Gray was ended by his decree. She was in the technical field until her return to the ranch and a start up Coffee 2.0 company using algorithms to determine the best blend of coffee for an individual. This will be sold in her sister's Trading Post store in town. Gray is now successful and plans to open a rehabilitation center for blind or injured race horses that still have a lot of life in them even though their racing careers are over. He also recruits the assistance of Martin Allen, the father of Harper. Martin has been widowed for almost two decades. His recommendation is the newly retired physical education teacher from the Boston area, Jacqueline. She was an Olympic contender in the equestrian world. She is divorced from after an early marriage of convenience due to his homosexuality and being from a prominent family. Gray is injured and nursed back to health by Harper and old feelings are ignited and declared. Romance is in the air.
Forget me not Cowboy is the 2nd in the series and has many references to the characters that are in the 1st book, so you will not be lost. Harper is the sister of Hadley from the 1st book and after being away except for visits for 10 years returns home for an extended stay. She is able to launch her new business Coffee 2.0 remotely and plans to expand with using her sister’s insights. The only downside is she will be running into her ex boyfriend all the time. Someone she really never got over with and never got the real answer to their breakup. Gray is the county large animal veterinarian with dreams of starting a blind horse rescue. He runs into his 1st love, actually his only love, Harper. Time has matured her into a beautiful women and long gone is the teenager he fell in love with. When a freak accident happens and Harper is the only one to take care of Gray, he only remembers the good times. Having a slight concussion has also cause some amnesia and he has forgotten they broke up. A good story but seemed drag on somewhat and then the ending seemed rushed. Nice lead into the next book and hopefully more of Gray and Harper story will be included. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #ForgetmenotCowboy #HarperCollinsPublishers
The main couple are not together at the start of this book. They had broken up years ago and their second chance at love when the heroine returns back to their hometown and the hero ends up getting a concussion after an accident. The hero doesn't remember their breakup and only recognizes that they're still a couple. Will the main couple get their happy ending when the hero recovers his memories?
This is the second book in the Rustlers Creek series. The setting of this book is the hometown of the couple and how it changed after the first book in this series. The book provided enough information about the previous book for readers to not be lost. Along with the romance of the main couple, this book also has sub-plots that took up a lot of the story. It would have been nice if the book focused more on the main romance and not on the secondary situations of other characters. Overall, it's a good addition to the series and hope to see some cameos of the main couple in the future.

Harper Allen has returned to Rustlers Creek to launch her coffee business with the help of her celebrity sister, the Cowgirl Gourmet. But Harper can’t escape handsome veterinarian Gray McClain, the man who broke her heart ten years ago and whose kisses still make her head spin. This is my first Addison Fox romance, and it won’t be my last. I loved the characters, as well as the plot. I rarely read a story with an amnesiac and I felt that it was well portrayed. I love when romances leave you a little lighter than you were before reading it, and this one did just that. The only reason this wasn’t a 5-star read was the cursing. I believe an author should know other words other than curses to use in a story. Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this advanced reader’s copy. This review is my unbiased opinion.

This feel-good trilogy from Addison Fox centers around three couples (and a few peripheral ones) navigating romantic entanglements, careers, and family relationships in Rustler's Creek.
Similar in tone and feel to her Alaska Nights novels (still my favorite series of her books), this cozy story is chocked full of congenial family dinners, girl talks with successful, career-driven characters, and hunky (yet modern, sensitive and respectful) cowboys. This book makes you want to pull up a fuzzy blanket, get in your pjs, and pour a glass of wine so you can relax into the plot and simply enjoy the flow of these characters as they find their way back to each other.
Thank you, Goodreads, for choosing me for the Giveaway of this novel! It was a fun read!
This was my first book by Addison Fox. I really enjoyed the characters in the book and it truly was a great read.
I'm an animal lover and I definitely enjoyed the horse rescue aspect of the story. I think that anyone who loves romance with horses in it will enjoy this book.
The characters were very likable and relatable. Just when you think this is just a story about two people who were lovers in the past that will end up reuniting when they are older and wiser, an amnesia curveball will be thrown into the mix. It made the story of coming back together more interesting and unique. I will definitely be going back to the other book in this series to read more about the stories behind the other characters but this book can definitely stand alone for a reader.
Thank you for writing a beautiful, heartwarming story.
Addison Fox second book in the Rustle Creek Series is cute. The background of the first book is highlighted enough to pique your interest to read it, too. Plus, this story is loaded with interesting characters who could easily steal the show.
Gray and Harper are likable characters. Who feel jn love as teens, and made decisions leading them to seperate. A decade later, they reconnect, and their emotions are bubbling under the surface. The ex and amnesia troupe are cute and quirky. In the end, the boy meets the girl, and the girl gets the boy.
It was a good story. The story I was drawn to more was a background story. Martin and Jackie. Maybe they will have more time in future books.
Thank you to Goodreads, Harper Collins, and Addison Fox for this ARC
This is the second book I have read in the Rustlers Creek series. I enjoyed the first book, but really loved this one. This book follows Harper and Gray, who have been broken up for 10 years. Harper left town to pursue her career after Gray breaks up with her because of his childhood of abuse and his mother's abandonment. We are only given small glimpses into the abuse that Gray endured during his childhood (and I do wish the author had explored him reaching out to his mother, this would have been a nice addition to the story). The way they find their way back to each other is unique and sweet. 4.5 stars rounded to 5. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced review copy.
Entertaining Mix of Small Town, Cowboys and Second Chances!
Harper left Rustlers Creek a decade ago. Returning is difficult. She is pleased at the success her sister has found as the Cowgirl Gourmet, and it has positively impacted the entire town. The hard part comes in facing Gray after he walked away from her all those years ago.
I took a star away as some of the “drama” is unnecessary, and only in the mind of the person creating it. Some tells instead of shows in the storyline. Basically an entertaining story of community, overcoming obstacles, and opening yourself to romance.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
I got this book on a Goodreads giveaway and it has not affected my liking of this story.
This is a second chance romance between Harper and Gray. Gray green up with an abusive (not physical as much as emotional) father. Harper lost her mother at an early age. This created a tight bond between them in high school and college. However Gray drives Harper away because he thinks he isn’t good enough for her as he thinks he may be too much like his father.
She leaves town but returns 10 years later. Their journey to becoming a couple again is not easy.
This is a good story showing the development of the characters in a real way. Loved the story!
Harper and Gray have a history filled with painful memories of their childhood. When Harper comes back to visit her family, Gray loses all focus on anything else. After a brief hospital stay from an incident with a future rescue horse, Gray goes home in the care of Harper. He has lost only one memory from his head injury. He has no memory of breaking up with Harper. Harper is in a bad place, not wanting to make his injury worse and pretending they are still together. This romance is lovely, and a great back porch read. Smut 2 Romance 6
I love cowboy romances. I love the setting and the people and the way that small towns are incorporated. I did not love this one. The story felt complicated with at least two other side plots that took us out of the main characters romance. It has an amnesia trope, but doesn't fall into place until after the halfway point in the book. I was a little wordy and the other plot points took away from the steam and the tension in the main characters' story. I think it held great potential, but was a little too cluttered for my taste.
This is all character, very light plot. Really, the plot doesn't actually start until waaaay further into the story than I expected it to. However, character is really where Addison Fox's books really shine. She manages to make kind of silly storylines and tropes really work because of her ability to create these full, flawed, loveable characters. So if you love plots, I don't think this is your book. But if you are more into characters and their relationships (romantic and otherwise), this is a good one.
Harper has returned to Ruslters Creek to open a coffee house and was not expecting to see Gray who is now a veterinarian and who also broke her heart ten years ago. Her problem is that she still has feelings for him. Gary is surprised to see Harper, not the teen who broke her heart but now a beautiful woman who has not left his mind all of these years later. Will she give him a chance to start again one can only hope. Read this good story about not just two people but other characters as well. A good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com
Gray and Harper split 10 years ago because they just didn't believe in each other or themselves. As Harper returns home pursuing a new business venture, they must face their past to embrace the future.
Can Gray cone to terms with his father's legacy to realize he's moved beyond to prove he's an honorable man deserving of love? When a ranch injury makes them accept limitations and learn to face the future together their relationship solidifies. An interesting and fun read.
This book was pretty good as a second book in the series. It was well written with good conflict and an interesting story line. I thought Gray and Harper had good chemistry and back story. I’m a sucker for second chance love stories. This one kept me interested from start to finish. That doesn’t always happen. Huge thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book!
Forget Me Not Cowboy is the second in a series set in Rustlers Creek, Montana in the present day. I have also read the first in this series and I enjoyed them both. The heroine of this entry is an entrepreneur who has returned to Rustlers Creek after ten years away. It is nice reading about more mature characters who are trying to solve adult problems in their lives. I would highly recommend this romance series.
You can't go home again...or can you? This story by Addison Fox starts by showing us that our memories of hometowns and our pasts often change as we get older. Sometimes we are able to resolve our pasts to brighten our future.
I really enjoyed this book and all of its characters. I felt like there was almost too much for this one book to hold. Some of these characters could have amazing books all on their own!
