Bishop...

The nightmare is far from over. New players emerged, proving the trafficking ring we took down is much bigger than we realized. The Souls of Satan were only a small piece of the puzzle. It’s been hell putting together the jagged pieces. Figuring out where they all fit.

She doesn’t fit in the puzzle. She’s jagged...that’s for sure. But no matter how much she believes she’s like the other girls, she simply doesn’t fit.

They had no one looking for them. No one who cares. But she did.

I saved her. And she hates me for it.

Sloan...

They took me. Stole me as if I’m nothing. I wanted to stay gone. Disappear forever. I don’t deserve to live, have happiness. The hell they put me in was the perfect place for me.

Then he showed up. He lifted me into his arms, carried me away. Brought me back to a reality I’d rather forget. He makes me remember what I was like before...who I used to be...before I lost everything.

All I want to do is forget.

He says I'm trouble. I disagree. I'm not the one with all the power. He has it. And I can't allow myself to believe he just might be worth the trouble.

**Worth the Trouble is the third installment in the RBMC world. It is a standalone with HEA but does reference characters and events from the previous books. It contains adult content, adult language, violence, sexual content, and has possible sensitive triggers. It is intended for mature readers only.**

I am a happily married mother of three (two boys and one girl). I live in a very small town in Alabama. Never lived anywhere else. I’ve been writing since my early twenties, but I couldn’t seem to finish a book. I’ve started self-publishing with the encouragement from my mom. Without her encouragement, I don’t think I would’ve done it. She always supported me and writing is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. As long as I enjoy it, I’ll continue to do it. I’ve learned already that I can’t please everyone. Not all reviews will be good, not all reviews will be bad. I’m the one that has to be happy with my work.

I get my inspiration from life experiences, movies, television, other authors, and music. Music is definitely a big influence on my writing. I can hear a song and it can inspire an entire book for me. I listen to it while I’m driving or before I start writing and it keeps me inspired. I like to put music in my books, even if it’s just one song the characters listen to or hear at some point. Sometimes music has gotten me through the really tough times in my life and that’s why it inspires me.

I like to write fast-paced, steamy romance reads. I like for my males to be alpha-males and my heroines to be strong, but both need to have one weakness- each other. I am an avid reader. I absolutely love romance books!

3.75 stars--WORTH THE TROUBLE is the third instalment in JL Leslie’s contemporary, adult RBMC: BIRMINGHAM dark, erotic, MC romance series -a part of the multi-authored Royal B*stards MC. This is Bishop Winstead, and Sloan Kendrick’s story line. WORTH THE TROUBLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Sloan was first introduced in book one WORTH THE RISK.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sloan and Bishop) WORTH THE TROUBLE focuses on the acrimonious relationship between Bishop Winstead, and Sloan Kendrick. Approximately one year earlier, Sloan Kendrick found herself the victim of a $ex trafficking ring but rescued by the RBMC and her uncle’s Fallen Eagles MC. In the ensuing year Sloan has all but become a prisoner of her uncle’s MC, in the fear of someone else coming to take her away. Bishop Winstead is the biker and man who rescued our story line heroine but their barely veiled sexual attraction is masked by hatred and anger, disrespect and humiliation. All is not well in Birmingham Alabama, as the sex trafficking ring continues to work, as the MC struggles to understand the how and the why. What ensues is the building relationship between Sloan and Bishop, and the fall-out as the RBMC is targeted, losing two of their own in the process.

The relationship between Sloan and Bishop is tempestuous at best. Bishop struggles with his attraction to a woman he believes to be broken and lost; Sloan battles between head and heart knowing she has lost so much more than anyone could have ever imagined. The $ex scenes are aggressive and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including club members from both MC: Club president Mason; Skylar and Jake, Allie and Hunter, Peppermint, Davina, Dash, as well as Sloan’s uncle Owen.

WORTH THE TROUBLE is a story of betrayal and vengeance; secrets and lies; misunderstanding and miscommunication; attraction, want, need and sacrifice. The premise is edgy, gritty and heart breaking; the characters are determined and animated; the romance is startling and intense.

I absolutely loved Bishop and Sloan. These two tried so hard to stay away from each other. Sloan, I'm not sure how she kept going after the turmoil she went through. She is one tough cookie. I loved watching her and Bishops relationship develop and grow.

These two had me going nuts! Bishop and Sloan fight what they feel harder than I've ever seen. The chemistry is over the top HOT, HOT, HOT and yet they fight it with a passion unlike nothing else. The struggles that Sloan is dealing with are absolutely legitimate and it has her feeling so useless and unworthy. My heart hurt for her so bad I just wanted to fight all of her battles for her. Bishop could and would do that for her if she'd just let him in. When the secrets start coming out it catches everybody off guard. This book will have you feeling everything, there's not one single emotion that won't you at some point in Worth The Trouble.

Worth the Trouble is totally worth the read! This series is so good! The characters, the story lines, the steam, its all there! I'm normally not a fan of MC books, but I love how J.L. Leslie writes them. Sloan's story will break your heart. She is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. While you might could read this as a stand alone, you really need to read the first two books to have the whole picture, plus they are just good books!

This was a 4.5⭐️read
Continuing the Royal Bastards MC series, another problem has arisen and another unknown foe.
Bishop and Sloan are amazing together.
Bishop has harboured feelings for Sloan ever since he rescued her from the trafficking ring.
Sloan is a fighter and gives Bishop a run for his money.
Love Bishops protective side. He is the total package.
These two together just worked.
Cannot wait to see what happens next.

I was given a complimentary copy but voluntarily chose to review

I absolutely love how J.L pulls you in with her words.
When Bishop saves Sloan something happens to him. It's an instant attraction. But Sloan is broken. Can this biker bring her back and make her happy. You watch the ups and downs that they go through. You see the relationship grow into it's own, until he finds out a truth she should of told. I smiled, had some ffs's but then I also had the heart breaking moment, when Sloan tells a hearing about her ex.
We all know and love the characters in this book, I waiting for the next now. I cant get enough of them.

Worth the Trouble was a quick and great read. I love Bishop and Sloan’s relationship. She’s alittle scared of him, and he’s thinking she’s only trouble.Sloan had a bad experience and still has issues dealing with her loss.Bishop doesn’t know what to do with her besides taking her to bed, and hope his feelings change for her.
I enjoyed the story very much. It was romantic in a way, they fell for each other finally. ❤️❤️

Sloan and Bishop

Sloan is having a rough time with life - she lost her son and then was later kidnapped. Bishop is who found her and she’s hated him ever since that moment. But as they say, there’s a thin line between love and hate. Sometimes lines blur…
While this one can be read on its own since it features the story of this couple, I do feel you’ll enjoy this story more if you’ve read the prior stories in this series first. You might be lost if you don’t.*

Sloane was saved by Bishop and the RBMC when she was taken by traffickers, but she's far from happy, because of her past she feels as though she can't go on and her and Bishop butt heads all the time until they don't.

Still on the hunt for the traffickers they are no closer and the alliance between them and the Eagles MC seems one sided.

Explosive, page turning action, loved it.

What a phenomenal twist of events in this book. Everything about it kept you on your toes. You watch Sloan come out of her shell and you watch bishop and her explore their love/hate relationship!

I laughed, I might have screamed and I have people I definitely dislike in this book, but all in all I’m excited for what it brings and can’t wait for the next release already!

Worth the Trouble (Royal Bastards MC) by J. L. Leslie is another outstanding story in this series. If you like your bikers, edgy, gritty and sexy who play hard and love hard where Respect is Earned and Loyalty is Returned then Worth the Trouble (RBMC) is a must read!

What an intense, raw emotional story about Bishop and Sloan. Bishop is this no nonsense biker who has a connection with Sloan who he saved from a human trafficking ring and destroyed the Souls of Satan for their part. Bishop and Sloan have a hate/love relationship. Sloan is self destructing as she hates Bishop for saving her and can't get past the pain of her loss which is leading her on a path of destruction as she is filled with self-loathing and hate.

The more Bishop gets under Sloan's skin with his snarky remarks, underneath he is secretly drawn to this sassy, sexy woman. Will he be able to break through her barriers and help her heal? These two begin a relationship that is hard, fast and oh so hot. When he learns what Sloan has been hiding, he will do one thing to give her the revenge she needs to move on. Now the club is still trying to deal with the trafficking ring as new players are involved. Sloan's connection to the Flaming Eagles MC, led by her Uncle Owen who is the President of the club is about to cause chaos and drama for everyone involved. Mason, President of the RBMC has has formed an alliance with Owen and his club to end the human trafficking. How will this end when Sloan learns damaging information and keeps it from Bishop? When Bishop and his brothers go to the motel thinking they will be helping some of the women, the motel is under fire and they learn that the clubhouse has been blown up. Now secrets will be revealed and hearts will be broken as Bishop and Sloan are at odds as he feels betrayed by Sloan and walks away from her.

Sloan is devastated that she has lost Bishop forever decides to leave and go back to Houston as she packs her bags her Uncle tells her it is best for her to leave as the situation now is dangerous for her to be around both clubs. Upset and angry as she is leaving town she decides to see Bishop and confront him. Once she arrives at his home, she asks if he is he willing to throw everything away as she loves him and is sorry for not trusting him. Now they will go head to head as their reunion is explosive as these two come together once more as Bishop tells her that he loves her and he will never let her go again as she is Worth the Trouble! How will this all end as the club has to find and stop the Harvester the leader of the trafficking ring . Will the RBMC find their foe or is trouble and danger headed towards them once again. We now have to wait for the next book to learn how all of this drama will end.

What a fitting title for the book, Worth the Trouble. First of all if you did not read the first two books, please go back now. You'll appreciate the characters and overarching plot lines so much more. In this third book of the Royal Bastards MC we see Sloane adjusting to life after her captivity. Broken and bruised she still radiates so much strength given her backstory. Her interactions with her rescuer both made me laugh and sigh for them both. Bishop is cocky and loyal to his MC and his family. He gets what he wants until he meets her. Watching both of these characters interact and how their drama is impacted by the overall story took me some time to read and process. The author does so much in this book that I needed time to process it all. Well written with so many amazing characters, I truly cannot say much more without adding spoilers. Just go in. Enjoy the ride with these amazing bikers and the ladies they find.

I’ll say up front there may be triggers for some, so head warnings, but for me this was an awesome read. The author gave us a well written storyline with heartache, betrayal, lies, romance and lots more with great characters that you can’t help but root for.

This is Bishop and Sloans story. A couple that has a turbulent relationship. Sloan was caught up in a trafficking ring but was rescued approximately a year prior to this book's main storyline. She is dealing with these issues as well as her attraction to Bishop. Bishop struggles with how to help her and his pull to her at the same time. They fight (boy do they fight), the scenes behind closed doors are wild and heated. Finding their way though made for one amazing read. I Highly Recommended Worth the Trouble.

Worth the trouble

This is the amazing story of Bishop and Sloan, these two characters have such intense chemistry from the charts, it sets the pages alight as you read. This is a story of heartache, passion, struggles, and very hot passion. This story is so intense from the very first chapter. This story is full of suspense and angst, which makes this s totally gripping book to read. This is an amazing read from this author and I can't wait to read more in the future.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review

I loved this book up to the last couple of pages. It was going in a crappy way for the main couple then within about two little paragraphs it turned around and done. I don't understand why authors are putting so much into their books and then have a rushed end.

This must have been the second part of another book but for the life of me I can't figure out which one it was.

This is Bishop's and Sloan's story. Bishop had been the one who saved her when she was kidnapped by human smuggler. She felt she deserved what was happening to her and didn't want to be saved. She had lost the one thing in life that once you have you will protect with your own life. She hated Bishop and he hated her for not being thankful for the rescue. There's a thin line between hate and love.

This story intrigued me. Sloan and Bishop had great chemistry, though she allowed herself to wallow in the past, causing anger to be their main interaction. My heart hurt for her, but I was glad that she finally saw a way out of that hole. Both were loyal to their families and clubs, and almost split them up. The steam between these two was definitely hot but so was the time they spent opening up to each other. I highly recommend this book, and I look forward to the next in this series and the RBMC world.

I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.

What can I say about these to people and this beautiful book. Bishop and Sloan are explosive all in the good way. The chemistry between them is off the charts. Bishop was there when the RBMC rescued her from the human trafficking. And the sparks will set everything up in flames. No matter how hard the tried to disregard what they feel they just can't. This book was a page turn exciting had me wishing I had a bishop in my life lol

Worth The Trouble by J.L Leslie

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worth the read.

I got very invested in Sloan as a character and really felt for her as you learn more of her history. I loved that Bishop never got scared of his feelings even if there arguing at beginning it would have made sense. I feel like there could be more to this pair but I honestly think the fit together really well. I finished in just one sitting and will be one of my recommended Mc reads in the future.

What an amazingly intense read in this series. Bishop and Sloan seemed to have formed a connection when he saved her. Altho at first seemed more like hate than anything else. These two were explosive when they finally gave in to their feelings. Secrets come to light in this part, and I'm dying to read more of these boys.

Worth the Trouble will have you hanging on page by page. I simply loved Bishop and Sloan. I loved watching these two get together, they fight what they feel and try so hard to stay away from each other, until they no longer can. As always, this author delivers another excellent read, packed with lots of emotions, action, secrets, chemistry, and love. Highly recommend.

There’s a lot going on in this book, but it’s worth the read. Beware that Sloan and Bishop are explosive and were worth the wait. Sloan has her own trust issues and other problems she has to work through in order to begin to heal and trust. Bishop wants Sloan and isn’t giving up on her. Will he eventually win her over or fail? Grab it and settle in for an amazing ride.

Mistakes

Mistakes often have a way of destroying everything. Bishop and Salone fight to get what they both want. That fight makes them stronger then the realized. Griping story that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is another awesome addition to this chapter of the rbmc.

Bishop saves Sloan when he and his brothers rescue a group of trafficked women but she initially feels, he should of left her behind!
She is hiding a pain so deep and she and Bishop clash at every turn, until they don't!
The twists and turns in this had my head spinning who can they trust and who can't they?
A good read.

Bishop and Sloan's story was off the charts good. I love how they kept dancing around each other but in the end coming together. But finding out that it's still not over and the club still needs to figure out who's behind it all is going to be one for the books. I can't wait to see how this comes to an end. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Great book

She thinks that she is damaged beyond repair, worthless, not worth saving, all because of something she had no control over years ago. He is the man who found her and believes she is worth it . He is drawn to her damaged soul, and believes that this woman is the other half of his soul. Don't expect a typical HEA but this story is one you won't want to miss.
