"Time works within a precise set of rules. There are consequences to every single thing we do when surfing its waves. So, in order to protect Time, we must operate within those rules. And one of Time's rules is that people should not be allowed to live out of their own time. Ever."
Out of time Novitiate at the Royal Academy of Time Surgeons, Mimi Wylde has just one thing on her mind. To save her family from the machinations of Sergei Ivanov.
But Time is never that linear.
Her family is not really her family. And the Russian is not all that threatens RATS. Parliament is meddling in the Academy, and when the Prime Minister sends in overseers to commercialise time travel, Time itself reacts.
But can Mimi, Jack and their friends fight Sergei, the government, and Time all at once? Or will they run out of time before the battle ends?
Time once lost is never found again. But not according to those brave souls who surf Time's waves at RATS.
The race is on for Mimi and Jack, but who will win the ultimate prize is far from certain.

A bit of a romance junkie, she can be known to devour as many as half a dozen books a week if she drinks too much coffee. But her real passion is writing sexy, romantic suspense stories with strong female leads and alpha male protagonists who know how to love them.
So far, she’s written well over 70 books. She might have caught the writing bug; here’s hoping there’s no cure!
Excuse me while I shake the stupor off my brain after finishing Finding Time. I mean, WOW!!! Nicola Claire has well and truly socked me in the brain with a fantastic read. 😵💫
Summary: Mimi Wylde has had one goal in mind since she was forced out of time. To save her family from Sergei Ivanov and his dastardly plans. But it seems Sergei has always been one step ahead, with Time becoming unpredictable in order to accommodate for his careless journey through time. Even if her family isn’t really her family, Mimi is determined to do what she can and not let Sergei win. Unfortunately, the ex-Russian cosmonaut isn’t the only threat to Mimi and RATS. Parliament has taken an unhealthy interest in the Academy and sent overseers to see to the running of the facility they see as a financial pit hole. Their plan is to commercialize time travel even if it’s at the expense of saving Time. With the oppressive ignorance of the overseers and constant rips from a reckless Sergei, RATS threatens to deteriorate completely. If the situation wasn’t already dire, Time makes its own moves to fix all that is wrong. Can Mimi, Jack and the RATS family keep up the fight on three fronts? Lost time is said to never be found again. Luckily, the courageous men and women of RATS won’t easily give up, and they are more determined than ever to win the ultimate prize.
I’ve been itching to get back to surfing the time waves since finishing Making Time in late 2018. I could hardly contain my excitement when Nicola announced this release, and it was well worth the wait and celebration. The RATS team are still doing what they do best, but all is not well. They’ve sustained some heavy losses and had to come to grips with some devastating facts over the last several months. But it is said time waits for no man. Or woman, in this case. Our beloved Mouse is turning into quite the Novitiate and managing to still keep everyone on their toes while she does it. I absolutely adored Mimi in this book. Not only was she kind, loyal, and determined; she was also incredibly smart, extremely competent, and showed so much bravery in the face of heart wrenching agony, that you couldn’t help but love her. It’s no wonder Jack didn’t stand a chance. Mimi became the woman Carrie always knew she could be if she only lived a little, and it was beautiful and heartbreaking to see. Jack was ever the leader and protector, even when he wasn’t officially. I loved his dedication to RATS and Time, and devotion to Mimi. Like a true and smart leader, he knew when to push and when to relax and let someone else do the pushing. As a couple, Jack and Mimi were still in a bit of limbo in this book. Of course, they’ve realized some of their dreams, and share an intimacy that can’t be denied or hidden. But, short of a few scenes, their secluded moments were tame despite the chemistry sizzling between them. Surprisingly, this worked for me. Where it could have resulted in a disconnect between them and in turn, the reader, Jack and Mimi only seemed to grow closer. I loved every minute of it. The intensity, love, and feeling gave me all the romantic vibes. In the end, I couldn’t put Finding Time down. It was intense, compelling, and had me on the edge of my seat frequently. If I thought book two was unpredictable and convoluted, it had nothing on this final installment. I’m still unsure I grasped the full scope of everything on this first read-through, and I’m excited to see what nuggets I can pull out on my own on my next. Supporting cast was fantastic. Catching up with my favorites: Sally, Dean, Bryan, and Rafe was both entertaining and satisfying. I was still extremely frustrated with a few of the characters and the time they saw on the page, but I didn’t throw my Kindle (it was a close thing), once. RATS is a family. I could see that clearly and reveled in it with them. The storyline was fascinating with so many moving parts, yet not in a jumbled or confusing way. Considering the subject-matter, this was a pretty big feat. Nicola Claire has once again built a detailed world of danger, romance, and riveting adventures that will keep you glued to the edge of your seat. The close of Jack and Mimi’s story is bittersweet. I’ve loved every engaging minute of them traveling through time and dealing with the obstacles thrown in their path. I look forward to re-reading the entire series again in future. It’s a must-read! ♡
Finding Time is the last book in the fantastic Lost Time series. I devoured every book in this series and I cannot recommend it enough. Mimi and Jack's story might have ended, but it won't be the last time I read these books, so I will definitely be spending time with them again! With a great storyline which kept me on the edge of my seat and fantastic characters, I have thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the amazing world which Nicola Claire has created here. Her world building skills still leave me speechless! This is a must read series.
What an amazing and thoroughly satisfying conclusion to such a fun series! As usual, I absolutely adored Mimi and Jack. So much is thrown at them in this installment, but they never back down or give up. They are such great characters and its impossible not to cheer for them. I also just love how they truly bring out the best in each other and are such strong characters both independently and together. They really are a romance for the ages.
The action here was fascinating and never stops. The complexities and intricacies of this world are perfectly woven together and add such a richness to the story. Major kudos to the author for her creativity here. I am so impressed by how she stays on top of all the details and doesn't leave any plot holes.
I also so enjoyed catching up with the other characters. There are definitely some hard and emotional moments in this series, and it was nice to see such a satisfying ending for everyone. Again, the author's creativity is really a testament here. I particularly love Sally and was glad to see how her story played out in such a unique but fulfilling way. I have so enjoyed this world and am sad to say goodbye! I hope we see Mimi, Jack, and the rest of the gang in the future!
