The hilarious companion to the cult TV series Ashes to Ashes takes a look at modern policing — a whole different kettle of fish from what it was in the seventies when coppers were heroes. Thankfully, DCI Gene Hunt’s guide has advice-a-plenty for today’s bobby.
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
Ok this book is totally tongue in cheek. its in bad taste and politically incorrect and perfect for what it is. The book has been written from DCI Gene hunts perspective - He was based on a character from a set of TV series (Life on Mars based in the 70s and Ashes to Ashes in the 80s) - *** DO NOT CONFUSE WITH THE US version *** The character is with out tact or modesty or in fact any social skills, however what he does believe in is his job. So the book - its hard to describe and to be honest unfair to describe unless you have seem the TV series which is excellent and I cannot recommend enough however be warned it can be tricky to follow and I think the crassness and base humour is a way of easing the frustration you feel at times trying to keep up. So yes this is a book written in character - know your character and know the book. I enjoyed but then again I loved the TV shows.
