This book is designed for someone completely new to Dreamweaver and web-design and I can see how a more advanced user would get frustrated with it. The learning process is rather painless, but some parts are extremely basic (as for instance how to format text) and could have been shortened.
There are some odds and ends thrown in, as for instance the hour of HTML and the one on Macromedia Fireworks, but I believe someone can indeed come up with a decent website after reading this book. I found a couple of instances in which the steps of the book didn't correspond to the actual software, but that was rather the exception.
My only negative comment so far is that I seriously doubt anyone could read this book in 24 hours and understand its content. I admit, Teach Yourself Dreamweaver in 5 Days doesn't sound equally marketable.
The bottom line - if one has never worked before with Dreamweaver, I believe this is an effective manual.
