This book was fine but I can see how it can be tricky for someone who likes to simplify their message down to soundbites may struggle to come up with more substance when they have an entire book to author. My takeaway after reading this book is that McGee sees it as a promotional exercise, a no brainer given his successful media appearances, to help maintain his profile as a 'celebrity' financial advisor or 'the money guy'. He also makes multiple plugs for his weekly live session on instagram, where he apparently doesn't mind handing out the same advice over and over again.

The rest of the content feels pretty formulaic. McGee seems to have written up a few lists in the pub and decided to make them the basis of this book. It's been fleshed out with anecdotes and a few stats but overall doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Perhaps if you've never taken an interest in finance or prefer to ignore the topic of money, this book can serve as a gentle intro into how you might change your ways and help you understand better how to gain some clarity and make plans.

It's so good... I pre-ordered it.

I read Eoins first book last year and it contained the best financial advice for Irish people I'd ever read. It didn't talk about 401Ks or Credit Scores that American financial advisors rant on about. It was just relevant straight to the point financial advice. This book, while also very relevant and full of financial advice, helps with your financial mentality as well. It was an absolute pleasure to read.

Really enjoyed this book and we got a lot of useful information from it, which we plan to build from. We have been enjoying the new show also. Best of luck with it. I particularly enjoyed your closing part. It’s true. There is definitely more important things than money, but looking after our families is one the best things we can use it for.

Very disappointing book. Following his first book and given the title of this one, I hoped this book would be more focused on investing and making your money work for you. But it’s just a re-hash of the first book. Waste of time reading it in my opinion.

I read Eoin’s first book a year ago and really enjoyed it, and this second book was equally enjoyable/insightful. Straight talking financial advise, encouraging me to think and start taking actions to improve my financial future

I liked the section where it gave examples about how to teach your kids about finances and also the practical steps you can take without overly trying to sell his services specifically.
