Here we have read which falls in my meh category. 3 star is Meh for me. I would rather love it or hate it than be on the fence.

I will say this, I find enough appealing to the storyline that will lead me to book 3. My issues revolve around a few points.
- Remus seems to be oblivious to whom he surrounds himself with; being the "alpha" he has the wool pulled over his eyes far far too much
- Remus refuses to even consider the "fated mate" aspect; this is a big part of the world build; "fated mates" exist; it is hard to accept Remus would not even want to know if she exists
- Luna has been rejected by her "fated mate" now she is willing to fall in love with Remus knowing full well his "fated mate" is out there; I mean ever heard of cruising for a bruising; just not a smart idea
- Luna reunites with her family yet they still seem to me keeping something from her; they also warn her about Remus and the pack needing his "fated mate" and she's like .... I am a grown ass woman I can do what I want.... yeah, and your judge of character is so great? I mean you just spent 6 years with your fated mate who cheated on you the entire time and made naughty videos with all his women including you ...all unawares; so the family concern is warranted

Well there is my aggravation in a nutshell. Will I read book 3? Yep got to know if they get their heads out of their asses.

Happy reading,
DD 🥂

It was marginally better then book one. It had me reading to the end thou it ends on a big cliffhanger.

It feels like everyone is out to get Luna and punish her for something she didn’t do. They only see what they want and no one really takes the time to see her or see how happy she’s making the Alpha. A lot happens; our leads are growing closer, pack politics, a war brewing, and betrayal.

Luna wasn’t as bad, but still whiny in her mopey monologues she has. Our Alpha I like. He’s got all the good hero aspects. I just swish Luna would grow a backbone. I feel she needs to be more assertive ska Alpha to stand by our guy.

As I said we end on a big cliffhanger so if you don’t care for them well it’s their.

A good filler between series.

As I said for the first book of this series, I’ll say the same for this one . . . It was an ok book, but it wasn’t a great one. It wasn’t bad enough to not finish, but neither was it a “barn burner.” This book picks up where book 1 left off. Our FMC, Luna, has decided to help Remus find her pack alpha, and her fated mate, Marnet. He’s an asshole and she should have done this sooner, but I digress. He still manages to slip through their fingers and is on the loose. Remus and Luna travel to Remus’ pack-lands in Texas, where she doesn’t find a warm welcome either. Remus’ mother continues to harp on him about finding his mate. I guess even big bad alpha wolves aren’t immune from boundary-ignoring mothers asking “when are you gonna get married?

My biggest problem with this series, is the pacing of the storyline. I actually like the story, it just seems to take too long for it to unfold. Perhaps the author could benefit from a stronger editor to help reign in the pacing while still keeping the tension. Is it a fine line? Sure, but it can be done. From a reader’s POV, I loved reading about the pickle that Luna finds herself in. . . Her old pack, Lupus Paws, thinks she’s in cahoots with the alpha of the Silverstreak pack and is a spy for him, betraying their alpha, and her mate, Marnet. The Silverstreak pack, or at least some members of it, think she’s in cahoots with her old pack and will betray their alpha, and her new lover, Remus. A sticky wicket if ever there was one. As a woman, this kinda broke my heart. I could feel her emotions as she realizes that her fresh new start wasn’t going to be, and life in this new pack wasn’t going to be any different than life in her old pack. Call me a masochist, but I love a book that can turn me upside down and inside out (give Zodiac Academy A try if you’re a real glutton for punishment.)

Some parts of the world building aren’t fully explained. Such as Remus’ mother’s singular desire to get her son married off. She states that the pack will be better off for it, but not exactly how and why it would be better. Another puzzling thing to me was Remus’ rejection of the idea of fated mates. I thought that was pretty much a staple in shifter stories, but our MMC doesn’t really believe in them. Strange for a pack alpha, don’t you think?

Steam level is higher than book 1 of the series, but it’s definitely not a main thing either. Honestly, I was fine with this. I am still invested, so I will be reading the final book of the series.

Mean

XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. Luna was rejected very publicly by her fated mate. Her father was a bad man, er wolf. Whatever. His abusive mate was worse. Luna's siblings were abusive. Still she has a great outlook on life and keeps forgiving. Remus is a jerk to Luna at first. Then he sees her and all her worth. Then he can't let her go. Only no one wants them together. As Alpha, Remus is expected to find his fated mate. Luna is betrayed again by multiple people, even as she is rejecting Remus as they want. Remus is betrayed as well. By those he should have been able to trust the most.

OMG

Oh my goodness it’s getting so good. I don’t what to give away to much, but I must say I do not like Rumus Mother. Poor Luna can not catch a break, My heart aches for her. I can’t wait to read the next book. I do hope Rumus comes out at the better end of this and stronger than ever.

Still not understanding all the high reviews

Ok. Book 2 was just as bad as Book 1.

Actually. Worse. Now I think Remus is as bad a character as Luna.

Weak. Both of them. This is not your typical shifter romance read. There might be 3 important chapters in this entire book. Tie it with the 5 from book 1 and so far this entire series could be condensed into 1 book and one of the most awful shifter reads in the genre.

Holy snickerdoodles! That cliffhanger! Oh my freezing oreos!
The plot twist at the end and the overall character development of the two MCs give this book these stars.
Sadly the story is dragging and the detail and information overload is just not for me.
And now waiting till end of June for the solution. Uuugh 😅

Unfortunately, the majority of this outing felt like what it was, the middle piece setting the stage for part one’s remnants to be tied off in part three and exposing the hidden threads to be resolved in part three (That’s a lot of pressure). The Lupus Claw pack gets their wish and readers are left with strong feelings, trying to settle into Silverstreak, Luna finds many things are exactly what she’d thought she’d left behind. Too many people think she’s a spy for the other side.

Remus has his own cross to bear as his feelings deepen for Luna, he’s getting it from all sides that he should be looking for his true mate. Meanwhile, Marnet peeks out of hiding with a new fiancé and access to a fortune as the fortunes of Remus’ flagship business take a dip along with his pack council deciding it’s past time for Remus to find his fated mate. Luna meets her family and her grandfather has a few words of wisdom for Remus with rebellions and war seeming to be on the horizon.

Interesting

This the second book in this series is a little more interesting than the first although a little slow. Luna and Remus have gone to Texas to settle with his pack and she meets the family she never knew she had and finds the mother she believed dead. Luna and Remus relationship develops and their love blossoms but trouble is on the Horizon in the form of his mother and the Luna Claw Alpha is stepping up his plan. Can these two survive when everyone is against them and will be ever be able to trust his mother after her betrayal we will have to read the next book to find out.

I'm hooked

I am super hooked on this story and the cliffhanger leaves me cravin more, but there's a few discrepancies that stand out like a sore thumb. Luna was 26 in the first book and now she is 24. In the first book she had a special alarm clock that her mom made her from salvaged parts but the second it was a vintage alarm clock. There was a few more but I can't recall them at this moment, and they don't detract from the overall story but they do ruin the immersion a bit. Still like it though!

Exciting, romantic and uncertainty abound in this book.
Remus brings Luna back to Texas hoping to help her heal from Marnet’s betrayal and abuse. The two grow closer and Luna has a heartfelt reunion with her mother that for 12 years Luna thought was dead. Luna and Remus are happy but Remus’ mother is not having any of it. She is determined to get Remus to look for his fated mate and will stop at nothing to make that happen. The ending of this book is so good but the bad thing is that I have to wait for the next book to come out. I need to know what happens.

Being a outcast in her own pack for her entire life, Luna decided to move to Austin with Remus and start a new life. Her mother was there and her family on her mothers side was there.. She could get a job working on cars.
However her past followed her. She had never pledged herself to the Silverstreak pack and therefore many saw here as still a Luna Claw and a spy.
She moved in with Remus which kept him from looking for his fated mate.

Forever book

First, I have to acknowledge that it's a good story, attention grabbing, and well put together. What disappoints me it's the fact that it's way to long, gosh really three books? I skipped several pages and didn't miss valuable info... I'm super curious about the conclusion but oh Lord, I don't know if I can handle the "filler" unnecessary pages.

things are getting heated!

Man, this book started out as Luna and Remus finding a little bit of themselves and finding each other. After everything that happened in book 1, they both needed the support. But now, at the end of book 2, everything is in shambles. I can’t wait to see if they can fix the problems everyone else caused or if they’ll be torn apart!

Good read.

Like the first book this was hard to put down. There was a few times that there would be a.word or two added that didn't go there or words that weren't there that should have been but it was fine with me. I love the fast pace of the story and can't wait to read the next one.

I think it is me.

I keep finding the bad books nowadays. I mean if you love this book, I’m happy for you. But for me, it was super repetitive, quite slow, and with million plot holes. It ended with a cliffy but im not even curious about the future events. I would love to read a small novella on Tala though. She seems cool 😂

Omg and then whaaaat

In so hooked and I'm at the end of book 2 like WTF is going to happen....Omg I can't take it lol. This book has me hooked with the plot and the FMC and MMC are hot and strong but it's doubts and outside jibberish that has them a part. This story unfolding is just twisting and turning and I can't step away. Book 3 be good to me. Enjoyed super much lol

Falling For Another Alpha

This book is awesome. The action started from the beginning to the end. Whatever romantic feelings Luna and Remus has is exciting to read about as well. Their relationship is a slow romance and amazing to read about. I can’t wait to read more. Excellent!

There is only so much I can take, there were no real surprises, I guessed what was to come which kind of killed the mood on the story at times because there was no what's next moments. Not to mention Fiona, I just can't stand the woman, always putting her nose where it isn't wanted, I just wanted to scream 'you had your time as Alpha female, stay out of it!'

better

The second book is better than the first. The main female character has stop feeling sorry for herself for the most part. And I feel like the main male character has longer chapters.

DNF

Most action happens off screen or I lost pages from the first book. Only reading characters inner monologues which are usually about the same thing is boring.

Life is too short for boring books.

Really love this series

Loved reading that Luna made the transition to Texas to meet her family. I was really bummed that she still hadn't submitted. The amount of power that Marnet has amassed is worrisome. Can't wait to read the next book.
