To The Guy at The Coffee Shop, I did not intend to give you my phone number. I was actually waiting on several dates to show up; don't ask, it's a long story. I certainly didn't need to slip my number into your pastry bag just so I could attempt to catch you. I don't even know who you are, and I don't care. I found you to be extremely impertinent at the coffee shop. Who interrupts someone else's date to tell their own anecdotes and stories? Especially when that someone else is a stranger. Just because we had a five-minute verbal sparring match, it doesn't mean we actually know each other. No, I have zero interest in getting dating advice from you. And I certainly have no interest in learning the art of flirtatious touch. Are you out of your mind? All I can say is please stop sending me daily dating tips. Maybe work on not being a cocky ass before you try to help others. Now Leave Me Alone, Lilian P.S. Please Lose This Number
You never know when true love is going to find you, where it'll come from or how you could lose it when you tell them to lose your number.
Ben is a man on a mission but he finds himself chasing a woman who has disastrous dates and they are pips.
We all know how hard dating is but this one tops it up with trying to solve the mystery of missing company money and when the two cross, can love and trust shine? I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
This book is hilarious and the banter between Lillian and Ben/The Guy At The Coffee Shop will keep you laughing. A fun book to read with likable characters and an engaging story line. JS Scott's characters usually have 'attitudes' and this book is no difference. A great read that I read as an advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
"P.S. Lose This Number" (Cupid in the City Book 3) by J.S. Cooper was a good read. I enjoyed Lilian and Ben's story. This was a nice addition to this series. This story had humor, romance, passion, twists, close friends, and more. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series in "P.S. You Would Be So Lucky." Recommend it to all fans of romance, humor, friends, and series.
Lillian is having trouble finding a good guy to date, so she arranges two dates on a dating app to meet her at a local coffee shop. While there she meets a British man named Ben Barnaby who is a private investigator helping Finn Winchester discover who is helping two men steal millions of dollars from him. Ben is immediately attracted to Lillian and when he ends up with her number the two of them start having phone conversations and the more, he knows the more he likes her. She gives him a chance and they meet for drinks and end up having sex both of them agreeing that it will be a one-night thing but after it is so amazing, they grow closer and hook up again. Ben is so attracted to her he is jealous when he finds out she's dating the man that he is investigating for embezzlement. He thinks for a hot second that Lillian is involved and almost gets her fired. Effectively ruining his chances with her, but he is determined to make it up to her and the two of them work together to find the culprit. I loved Ben and Lillian from their first moments together in the coffee shop. The banter between them was amazing and the sexual tension palpable. I loved how close the four girls are and that Marcia didn't believe that Lillian could be involved. I can't wait to read the last book in the series.

What a fun story. Lillian is tired of being one of the only ones left single of her friends. Trying dating apps, wow, some of the misinformation that Is put on them, people aren’t what they seem. Ben, infuriates her, trying to help her out, she is so not having any of it. This story is funny, flirty, so full of back and forth banter to rile each other up. Great story, fun read.❤️
A wonderfully witty, funny and sexy book! Ben and Lilian are engaging, alluring and interesting characters with a tantalizing and passionate storyline. An enjoyable read to an entertaining story. I look forward to reading book 4 in the Cupid in the City series. Beautiful written Jaimie👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I just loved this book, it was fun, dramatic, sexy men and stubborn women. The banter between ben and lilian definitely lived up to the attitudes you find in her books. They were so funny together and very hot together. It's a must read
I was surprised when a copy of P.S. Lose This Number showed up in my email. It has been a while since I've read something from J.S. Cooper. She was one of the first authors I had received ARCS from. The only reason why I stopped was that there were too many new releases in a short amount of time, and I couldn't finish and review them on time. I honestly thought I was no longer on the list.
I went into P.S. Lose This Number blind and gave it a chance without reading the previous two books in the Cupid in the City series.
I don't think that P.S. Lose This Number is for me. I wished that I enjoyed it more than I did, but I felt that it was just okay. If it's something that you can relate to, you'll possibly enjoy it more than I did. It felt like a chore to finish. I wanted to stop but plowed through it and finished. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect with any of the characters. I wouldn't say I liked Lilian. Maybe if I found any connection, I would've enjoyed it more. With all that said, I have nothing against J.S. Cooper and won't mind reading something else from her. Just because this was a miss for me doesn't mean another one would be. The other books I've read from her, I enjoyed.
Lilian “Lilly” always seemed to be ill-fated in not just dating but with love. Lily decides to not give up and give dating a try but using a dating app. Lily figure what could go wrong? Instead, Lily meets horrible guys, that just want to get in her pants. Lily would like to meet a guy with substance who she can also love but also looks good. What Lily gets is an arrogant bore, Ben Barnaby, that tries to give her dating advice when she tries to leave her phone number on a table when she goes to the bathroom. Ben laughs at Lily’s attempt to attract a guy and realizes that Lily has no radar on bad men or on guys’ that are into women not men. The more Lily attempts to meet men the more she keeps running into Ben who becomes more annoying but somehow endearing. Ben does hide a secret though that prevents him from getting close to Lily or for falling for her. Ben needs to prove to Lily that his love for her is real and that he is just perfect for her. This is a cute, humorous romcom story that is a quick easy fun read! The book isn’t really horrible and moves quickly so it makes for fast read. The mystery of who is stealing the company funds is brushed over hastily and has a speedy response that it doesn’t seem even believable. It would have been nice if there would have been more of that story arc told and developed than told hurriedly with a quick resolution. The characters also aren’t all that ghastly either. Lily needed to be more fleshed out especially since this is her story. So, to read the other a in the series might help to understand her as opposed to reading this book as a standalone. Ben also isn’t a bad guy. Sure, he is annoying and at times mean so isn’t great fodder for a book boyfriend. Ben can be excused because he is English and good-looking so that’s okay. Still, Ms. J.S. Cooper writes really good stories which keep me reading them, unfortunately, I didn’t really like this one as well. Still, it’s nice to have Lilian’s story just to continue the series.
I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review. I loved this book, about a sexy British detective, and a sexy, determined to find a husband, office worker. Their meeting was funny with great banter between the couple. The attraction is there from the very beginning, but the couple has difficulty accepting their true feelings. Ben is a Brit detective trying to solve an embezzlement case for the CEO of a major company. He is sitting in a coffee shop, watching Lilian with various blind dates. He sees her in aptitude with the different guys, and attempts to advice her, to correct her situation. Meantime he steals her phone number, and attempts to advice her over the phone. Lilian is a young office worker at the company that Ben is investigating. She is going on horrendous blind dates, attempting to find the love of her life. While at the coffee shop, she meets Ben, but she gets angry, with all the interruptions that Ben makes, while she is on blind dates. Ben begins to text and call her, just trying to get to know her, and hopefully get a date with her. The banter during these calls are outrageously funny. Eventually Lilian accepts to meet up with Ben, and they begin a relationship. Ben continues to pursue Lilian, until she realizes that she likes him. Meanwhile the investigation case gets complicated, when Lilian is considered a prime suspect. Ben apologizes to Lilian for suspecting her, after all the evidence is revealed. Lilian accepts Ben’s apology, and they re established their relationship to obtain their HEA. I’ve read several books written by J. S. Cooper, including all the previous books in this series. She has a way of entertaining the reader with her talented writing. The characters are always well developed, and the story is always full of hope, and love. I will always recommend books written by Ms Cooper.
Lilian can't catch a break with men her friend's seem to be hooking up and settling down its just her and Shantel. So Lilian dose what everbody else dose in the city she tries dating apps and it's one ridiculous man fest after another her latest two potential men are going to meet for coffee the first jerk is nothing like his profile the second seems like a winner hint seems like but he's a looser to and to top it all off theres this rude maybe hot guy who keeps interrupting her coffee dates and trying to give her dating advice but maybe the cute guy in the corner would like to chat.
Ben what to say about Ben hes British has tattoos he's a Detective who doesn't seem to be doing so well on his current case it could have something to do with his current distraction. Lilian so he tried to help her with her man problem maybe help himself too he's a guy right but she wants nothing to do with him she even tried to hit on the guy in the corner that's not gonna work he already hit on me but Ben's a good guy who doesn't want a committed relationship who may have swiped Lilian's phone number and can't stop calling her its not what it seems like. And besides she may just have comited a huge crime.
This was funny to read Ben's that boy in class who annoys you just to get your attention Lilian is a typical female who thinks she knows the type of man she wants when the one she's supposed to be with is driving her crazy or it could just be the crap that keeps coming out of his mouth. The chemistry was good Lilian and Ben read well that's all the good stuff my only small problem sometimes conversations between the bestfriends took to long and were crazy also the ending seemed a little hasty especially when it came to solving Ben's case it felt rushed those were my only issues.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Book three of the Cupid in the City series this time we have Lillian and Ben who meet in a coffee shop while Lillian is on a blind date. Just like book one and two Ben didn’t make a very good first impression on the girl and when Lillian left the coffee shop she hoped she never had to see him again.
This book is a typical RomCom and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. The entire series has been pure fun with minimal drama. One of the things I like best about it is the female leads, who are four best friends, are all normal women. The talk and act like your own friends would, being silly, always supportive to each other and just very real.
My only complaint, and I’ve had the same one on every book in the series, is the poor editing. There are too many errors that should be getting fixed before publication. Jaimie needs to seriously find a better editor. Her books would be all the better if she did.
Shantal is next. She’s the last woman standing and I’m surprised. I thought when I read the first book Susie would be last but I was wrong. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the other two books, this is easily read as a stand alone. Once you read it you might find yourself wanting to go back and read the others. Susie and Brody’s book is still my favorite but they are all great fun. Oh, yeah, and Ben is from London so if you like hot British men like I do, P.S. Lose this Number would be a good choice to pass a few enjoyable hours with.
I received an advance review copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the third book in the Cupid in the City series each series reads as a standalone but will reference characters from the previous books in the series, but each book will keep you turning the pages just to see how it ends. Lillian is tired of being single when all her friends have found their loves, signing up with a few dating apps epic failure but funny, finding her with two dates in the same day both failures and then add in the annoying British guy who keeps interrupting her dates frustrating her to no end. Ben sexy as all get out man in the coffee shop pestering the beautiful women who doesn’t know what she is doing on her dates, so he feels the need give her advice of course very unsolicited advice who frustrates her to know end. There is an attraction there but of course neither of them are going acknowledge it yet especially after stealing the napkin off the table with her number on it and yep the saga continues 😊. The banter between them is too funny and the more they go at each other more the attraction between them grows of course she isn’t ready to admit she is drawn to him but when they are throw together for work she still finds him aggravating yet drawn even more to the man but will she give him a chance, will he give in any insight as to why he is the way he is, is this her time to find her love, and can they have their own HEA it will be a very interesting ride with these two?
I have to say how refreshing this series has been. I have enjoyed each book more than the last. You can make a realistic connection with the characters. The banter with Lillian and the different men she is messaging with on the dating app is a great laugh and so real at the same time. Then her entire encounter with Ben from the first moment in the coffee shop; I just have to say how funny it is that people who are desperately looking for love but then when an honest connection happens they put up all sorts of crazy defensive mechanisms pushing the person away. I really enjoyed that while there was a fun love connection going on, you also had this hunt going on for a mole in company Lillian works for; someone who is helping to embezzle millions of dollars. As both pieces of the story unfold and all the connections come together you are just drawn in by the writers antics for both Ben and Lillian. I personally found myself wanting to get to the end so I could find out exactly how it ended as I certainly did not see some of the chain of events happen as they did. However I guess that is how life is, completely and utterly unexpected. I would not have wanted the book any other way! This was a fantastic read that I truly enjoyed. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was aware ahead of time there were going to be a lot of editorial errors and these would be fixed before the final edit was released.
Compared to the first two books in this series, this book didn’t capture my interest or in the same way. Was it enjoyable to read? Yes, but it felt too discombobulated.
Ben Barnaby is a lovable character. English with the sarcastic sense of humor which fell short where Lilian was concerned. As a MC she was too judgmental and snotty which wasn’t how she came across when mentioned in the first two books.
As their relationship/camaraderie grew so did shall we say combustive ‘emotions’. Once peaked it was a battle of the wills of who owned who… “You think you’re about to rock my world, and I think I’m about to rock yours”.
I am glad Lilian received her HEA. Did I wish the epilogue had more construct perhaps detailing their relationship a month down the road? Yes.
Do I wish I could give 4 or 5 stars particularly given how much I loved the first two books of the Cupid in the City series? Yes. Unfortunately, though, P. S. Lose this Number missed the mark for me.
Lilian agrees to two dates on the same day, at a coffee shop. They both are horrible and to make matters even worse there’s an annoying British guy there that keeps interfering. When Lilian sees a good looking at the back of the shop, she decides to learn her name and number for him. Imagine her surprise when it’s Ben, the Brit, that calls instead. He stole the napkin from the guy’s table, lol. Lilian tells him not to call or text her anymore. As time goes on, she wonders what if, he could be more. This book had me flipping the pages well past my bedtime, so I could see what happened. I loved, that besides the romance, we get to read why Ben is actually in New York. He’s working on a case for Finn Winchester, Lilian’s boss. Will he solve the case? I loved catching up with Susie, Marcia, and Shantal. I can’t wait to read Shantal’s story to see who she’ll get to be with.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
P.S. Lose This Number is the third book in the Cupid in the City series and this book gives us the story of Lillian and Ben. Lillian thinks life is passing her by, she has no love life, she lives in a tiny apartment and has an entry level job at Winchester Enterprises, she decides to join a dating app and sets up 2 dates on a Saturday morning at a coffee shop. The dates turn out to be a disaster but she meets the most annoying, interfering man ever, Ben he has picked up a napkin with her name and number she had left on a table of a really hot guy that was at the back of the coffee shop. Ben is a rather handsome English man with many tattoos who is in the US on an assignment in his tole as a Private Investigator, he is investigating the theft of millions of dollars from a US based company. This book gives us humour, intrigue, hot, steamy sex. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC of this book and am giving this review voluntarily
There is nothing that Lilian would like more than to find a man to spend her life with however she seems to specialize in picking frogs rather than princes. When she finds herself with two dates of a dating app on the same night the last thing she needs is for a third man to give her a commentary on the events. All she wants to do is leave this infuriating man in her past until he gets her number, and the fun really begins.
Ben needs to focus on his assignment so he can’t afford to be distracted from his goal. He is drawn to Lilian in spite of himself, but the complications really begin when their lives begin to intersect both personally and professionally.
The banter between them is humorous and not only do the characters of Ben and Lilian draw you in but there is a great cast of secondary characters as well.
Ben is in town for business and just happens to be in the coffee shop Lilian is having her dates at. Lilian is using a dating app trying to find the right man. However, her first date was a disaster and then a stranger buts in with his opinion. She is hoping her next date will be better, but it just gets worse. She sees a sexy stranger and just on impulse writes her name and number on a napkin then leaves it on his table. Ben sees what she does and goes to get the napkin. Sparks fly between them when he texts and then calls her later. She can't believe his nerve, but she realizes that she is starting to enjoy talking with him. Can this turn into something more between them?
This is an amazing story that had me laughing out loud at parts of it. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
This is book three in the Cupid in the City series and is about Lilian and Ben. Ben is a detective trying to solve an embezzlement case for the CEO of a major company. Lilian is a young office worker at the company that Ben is investigating. Lillian is tired of being single when all her friends have found their other half's that she has tried signing up for a few dating apps and had a few dates which ended up in failure. While in a coffee shop she sees a cute guy and decides to leave him her number but it goes to Ben by mistake. Sparks fly between them when he texts and then calls her later. Ben who witness the mess of a blind date cannot help but add his comments and suggestions for Lilian to make better dating choices. Filled with humor, fun, chemistry, banter and attraction. I cannot wait for the next one.
I've read a lot of books written by J.S. Cooper; she has done an excellent job at writing a good book. She is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to read more of her books.
This is the third book in the Cupid in the City Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Lillian & Ben; she’s searching for a boyfriend and joins a dating app. She sets up two dates for the same day at the coffee shop; both turn out to be really bad dates. Ben is there and offers her advice which she rejects. She sees a good looking guy in the back of the shop and writes her name & number down to slip to him but Ben gets it instead. I loved the characters.
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
P.S Lose this number. This is book three in The Cupid in The City Series and its between Lillian and Ben Barnaby. I do love Jaimies series. This one is as good as the other 2 in the series. Lillian and Ben's chemistry was off the charts and their journey to their HEA had many twists and turns along the way. I loved Ben's arrogant nature in the beginning of the book. But I did love how they both got along and annoyed one another. The storyline was good as you didn't know how everything was all going to work out. Was Lillian going to get fired and was Ben going to catch his flight back to London. I recommend you read this series as you won't regret it. I cant wait for Shantals story. Thanks again Jaimie.

Lilian and Ben, the gorgeous Englishman. Another hit in this amazing series. This is Lilian's story and since all of her friends are dating, she wants to find someone for herself too. She joined a dating site and meets two dates that were bombs! While at the coffee shop an a gorgeous English man with tattoos! It's so funny the way JS Cooper describes the dates and the narrative, Lol! But, when the gorgeous Ben gives her advice she gets annoyed and tries to ignore him. He manages to get her phone number when she leaves it for another guy. As they text she decides to meet him and the attraction is mutual. She also finds out he is working for her boss and the job is to find where the company's missing money is going. This was a sexy, fun rom-com with some steamy love scenes.
Blind dates are bad, jerks trying to give you dating advice while your on a blind date is the worst. Standalone with no Cliffhangers. I Love the banter in this book. 2 of Lilians friends have found great men. Now its her turn. To bad all the men she meets on the dating apps are looking for sex. Why can't she pick a good man? Ben is in America to solve an embezzling crime and meets a fun and feisty woman who he can't seem to stop thinking about. It could cost him his case. The build up in this one will have you laughing. Another great book in this great series, I can't wait to see how Shantal finds love. I volunteered to read an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to leave a review. I am am honest and true fan of Jaimie's work.
Bantering Is Their Foreplay - Lillian was charmed by Ben’s British accent when they met and he was captivated by her fiery personality, which led them to indulge in one night of unbridled and unforgettable pleasure. They may have bickered quite a lot during most of their interactions, but the sparks between them was combustible and made it difficult for them to be able to stay away from each other.
This was a truly charming romance, that was entertaining to read. The story not only held my attention from the first page until the end, but it was also a real pleasure to read. This book deserves to be added to your must read list immediately and recommended to your friends and families.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
PS Lose This Number is the third in Cupid in the City series by JS Cooper. I LOVED this entry into the series!! The way the story focused on Ben’s story and presented him was one of the best character developments I’ve seen lately. Lillian tries to use dating apps to find love but keeps finding the WORST in men. Ben happens on her at a coffee shop and tries to give her advice but she’s not having anything to do with him, or his advice. Over the course of several dates, he finally convinces her to listen to him but then a case of mistaken investigation (Ben’s a PI), means he might have made a bad choice. HOWEVER, the truth comes out and they end up together. I LOVE the interaction between them and the back and forth the author includes in the story. Well worth the read.
Funny, witty, entertaining great character interaction. One for the books! You know the song, Looking for love in all the wrong places...well that's the case for Lilian. When everybody around her are finding their ever after, he signs up on a dating app and meets these characters at a coffee shop. Ben is in town to find somebody and he intrudes in her dates and trying to show her what is wrong with her dates. When she leaves a napkin with her phone number to a guy in the coffee shop, he leaps to grab it and their journey begins. Great romantic comedy in the Cupid in the City series. Jaimie you did it again!!! I volunteered to review this story.
