Wyatt Stone knows how easily a woman can destroy a man’s trust, because he’s been there. So when his attraction for Olivia Roberts brings him to the point of giving in to his desire for her, he knows the safest thing to do is not start something he can’t finish, but Olivia is so irresistible.
Olivia has been crazy about Wyatt since the first time she met him but he’s as stubborn and ornery as any cowboy can be so when she finally seduces him, she’s determined not to let him go. Only holding on to him may be what causes her to lose him and her heart in the end.
But when the mother who abandoned her comes to town demanding what Olivia can’t give, her world is turned upside down and Wyatt is determined to find out why even as he falls harder for the amethyst-eyed beauty.

The fourth installment of the Men of Clifton and the long awaited story about Wyatt and Olivia. So much anticiaption was built for this book in the first 3 of the series. I couldn't wait to read their dynamic relationship. These two characters were stubborn but Olivia did give up to fast, overacted and threw tantrums and it was grea to see Wyatt didn't put up with it. He was cautious with love, afraid to put his heart on the line again and have it broken. And Olivia tries to bulldoze right in and steal his healing heart. This was a great read with more relationship up and downs that were enought to drive me nuts. This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books. These two main characters were frustratingly amazing.
Wyatt is doing everything he can to avoid Olivia and her advancements. Everyone's know he's interested but yet is so rude to her to hide his attraction. I completely understand that he has been hurt but taking it out on Olivia is just wrong.
Olivia is an outgoing woman who knows what she wants and that is Wyatt. She is a wonderful friend and great employee. I like how she has settled into this tight nit community with no problems. I already liked how she would comment on all the men.
I think this couple is very hot and steamy. I loved how Olivia demanded dates so she wouldn't qualify at a booty call. The only thing that drove me crazy is how quick she would get upset and run away. It just seemed out of character. She is so headstrong for her not to fight him head on seemed weird.
This is book four in a series of books about brothers finding love. This book features Wyatt, a cowboy who loves and raises horses. Unfortunately he was burnt (figuratively) by an ex girlfriend Stephanie. Now Wyatt is attracted to his sister-in-law’s BFF Olivia but he has sworn off women. He wants to keep things casual. Olivia is attracted to Wyatt too, and has tried to let him know. But Olivia cannot understand why he will not give her a chance. I enjoyed this book and the banter between Wyatt and Olivia, but I was over the multiple breakups by the end. There is a happy ending. Read On!
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty great book. I really enjoyed pretty much all of the characters. This was a book of protection, kindness, compassion, manipulation, self control, and realizing your worth and falling in love. I really enjoyed Wyatt and Olivia story. I think the author did a great job of putting these characters together. I think they made an amazing couple when they finally got together. Now Olivia's mother was something serious. I recommend this book to all cowboy lovers and romance readers.
I think this writer is running out of things to say. This was the most thrown together yoyo story I've ever read. I liked Olivia at least before this story, but some one who started off being a strong and independent women was reduced to a total hot mess. And I'm all for drama but the mom and ex-fiance in the story felt thrown together and ridiculous as was the ending. I just did not like this book at all.
Why does the author keep making her defend her previous sex life? He was the town slut. Why is she constantly telling him and other’s that she’s not a slut. He had one bad breakup that set him on path to use women and mistreat her. I’m seeing a real pattern with this author that I don’t like. Why can’t the MMC be a good man and treat women with respect? And where do all these available women come from? We are constantly reminded how small this town is.
This is the fourth book in the series and they just keep getting better and better. The first ten books are in my Kindle right now. Eventually all 31 will be there. Love me a good story about a hot cowboy, and these are some hot cowboys with good women to love them. Can't wait to download the next book. Enjoy yourself just like I plan to and read this series.
This was pretty good the sexy bits i thought were better maybe because there was more built up time between the characters. However sometimes there was too much of it an not enough fluff in between. Then it got annoying because the “fluff” all seemed to be the same fight. It got annoying with them breaking up getting back together on an on again. The mystery part was just ok. Kind of silly as people would react differently in real life but ya.
That was a rough ride. Her falling in love at first sight and him running scared. The old girl friend wanted him back a mom after money. The dumb arrangement to enjoy each other. Makes a woman think is it worth my time. But you pulled it together in the end. Each book leaves me wanting to read more. Five days and four books down. I will start the next book tomorrow. I needed a small break. Its 48 books in the series on!y 44 more to go.
I understand fluff.... I get it... its what makes these books easy fun reads. But this Olivia character was immature, toxic and quite frankly stupid. I skipped the last 3 chapters once she broke up with him AGAIN! And for all his angst in the first 3 books... he really has no personality... he's not even funny... Overall a very annoying tween drama... I've never rooted for a couple to stay apart!
Wyatt is hardened to love after being left at the altar. He's vowed to never get close to another woman. Can Olivia change his mind? The chemistry is off the charts but Wyatt is so stubborn. Will he listen to his heart? An outstanding read from Susan Fisher Davis!
I really like the story of Olivia and Wyatt. It took a lot of twist and turns to finally get them together. It was also nice to hear the story of Olivia's childhood. Don't mess this one I couldn't keep from turning the pages all day long.
I love this book I could not put it down .Wyatt is the sexy man ,And he knows it ,Olivia is a strong woman ,who goes after what she wants ,these are off the hook ,I love ❤️ series Sexy cowboys and strong women behind them .Good read.👍🏽💯📕
The first time her best friend mentioned cowboys she said they were nasty and dirty. Until she saw “ her” cowboy and fell in love but it was a rocky road to romance. He didn’t believe in dating or love just sex. She set her sights on him and began her campaign. Enjoy
A tale of extortion and deception and manipulation
Woman sees man. Woman wants man. Woman goes to lengths to seduce man. Woman runs off several times when her feelings get hurt. BUT continues to use sex as a hook??? Sorry to see the woman didnt take any responsibility for the drama she created even knowing the man had serious trust issues???
Wyatt is book four of the Men of Clifton, Montana Series and Wyatt’s story is the one book I’ve been anticipating since the beginning. So of course, I dropped everything to read it. Let me start off by saying that the book is well-written and the words flow with ease.
Susan Fisher Davis has some of the best covers around, but this one really takes the prize. I could seriously look at it all day and I will, as soon as it’s available in print.
If you’ve been following the series then you know Wyatt and Olivia have a complicated relationship. He’s been burned badly in the past by a woman and he believes Olivia to be a heartbreaker. This makes him rebuff her at every turn. Only Olivia’s not the woman he thinks she is. Olivia wants Wyatt and intends to have him. Wyatt is only a man and Olivia is just too sexy to turn away. It’s only sex, but what happens when one of them what’s more?
I really enjoyed Olivia. She wanted Wyatt from the very beginning and goes after him. She’s a strong female who knows what she likes.
Wyatt….is a stubborn cuss. I think I wanted to slap him throughout the whole story. He’s lucky Olivia was crazy about him, because I didn’t think he was worth the trouble. Of course, he redeems himself in a big way at the end, which made me soften my stance towards him. Besides he has that whole sexy, brooding cowboy thing going on.
This book also contains some unexpected drama which will keep readers entertained. Overall Wyatt is a solid four star read!
I was really looking forward to reading Wyatt and Olivia's story, and the whole first part of the book I was writing my review in my head stating that this was my favorite book in this series so far--BUT, at some point this book went badly off the rails and it never got back on track. Olivia morphed from a strong, outspoken woman who made no secret of what she wanted and went for it, to someone who repeatedly packed her bag and left, crying the time. The worst of it was when her no account birth mother comes to the house and stirs things up and she buys right into it, even though she knows her mother is a troublemaker. I got tired of the back and forth about paying off her mother to leave town--now I am, now I'm not. I didn't buy Wyatt's ranch hand attacking her the way he did--she knew who he was and he would have ended up in jail in a heart beat. I didn't understand Wyatt's ex suddenly coming back after him and repeatedly trash talking Olivia to him--no one in their right mind would think that he would go back to her when she did all of this openly. And to state that an unmarried woman who was on birth control was a automatically a slut?? Come on, now, wheat century is this? I could go on, but why? I leave the two stars for the first part of the book, but I haven't been this disappointed in a storyline in a long time.
Susan Fisher Davis sure knows how to write sexy as hell stories with tough as nails men who are brought to their knees by beautiful women.
Wyatt the ultimate self proclaimed bachelor will not fall for Olivia's charms or so he tells himself, yeh he knows she's hot as hell and sassy but he is never again falling for a women who could break his heart. I loved Wyatt, I loved his fighting not to be with Olivia and loosing that battle miserably. Wyatt is one sexy as hell cowboy with a heart as big as his ranch.
Olivia is sassy and has a mouth as raunchy as they come but she's also vulnerable, especially around Wyatt. She's a beautiful caring women and cannot understand why Wyatt hates her so much or at least that what she thinks.
I loved the back and forth with these two, I also loved how Wyatt just couldn't help himself as far as Olivia is concerned, their sex is hot as hell, sex the sheets on fire...HOT! I wanted to slap Wyatt at times for being so mean to Olivia but understood why, I loved these two together they are perfect for each other. Very sexy and sweet story with some angst and craziness too. 5 stars!
3.5 stars for Wyatt, Men of Clifton, Montana, Book 4
After reading other books in the series, I was eager to read about Wyatt. Finally, the youngest brother gets his turn in the spotlight. After getting his heart broken, Wyatt is determined never to get into another serious relationship. He just sleeps around. Olivia wants him, but of course, she wants a relationship as well. They have a strong attraction to each other. I found it a bit irritating how they continually pushed each other away. I suppose it was a "game" in their relationship, but after a while it felt silly.
Unlike the other books in this series the outside plot wasn't woven in well. It felt tacked on as if it were an afterthought. I give the author credit for adding one even if it was weak. The hot bedroom scenes almost make up for this shortcoming. All the books by this author are smoking, but this was the hottest. Perhaps the constant bantering back and forth added to that. Olivia was a strong woman and she knew how to handle Wyatt. Overall this was an enjoyable read. I highly recommend this series.
While reading Jake (also an awesome book), I was dying to read Wyatt's story. He's my type, tall, dark, handsome, and brooding. You know, the type of man you should avoid in real life, but in a book? Oh, hell yes! Gimme, gimme, gimme. So, while thoroughly enjoying each instalment of this series, I was frothing at the mouth to get to Wyatt's story. I was far from disappointed. Wyatt is the penultimate heartbreaker, the man every woman wants but the one you can never truly have. Olivia is my girl, self-assured, tough-as-nails, spunky and not afraid to go toe-to-toe with any man. She is undoubtedly my favourite heroine of this series, at least so far. Are you already envisioning what occurs when these two hook up? Sparks? Hell no, massive, earth-shatterinig explosion is more accurate. Whew! This story is red-hot and I floved it. Read it. Now.
Sweet story but so frustrating! Wyatt and Olivia are so determined to protect their hearts that they constantly move forwards one step, then step backwards two. Quick to be defensive, they constantly bicker, walk away, then return for makeup sex. It takes them both awhile to stop denying their love for each other and be willing to express it out loud to each other. Loved the cast and supporting family and friends that rallied around. There was even a couple of characters to add exciting challenges and a sense of danger. This book is every bit as entertaining and heart-stirring as the previous books in this series.
I enjoy reading books by Susan. I'm always happy and like each story. However, this book was a bit different for me. From the beginning there has been tension between Wyatt and Olivia, but finally it happens. I was a bit disappointed with Olivia. She turned into a brat and over reacted with everything. Overall, I liked the story and loved Wyatt, but I never had this kind of reaction to any of her books so to be annoyed by a character was something new.
This was truly a great love story. From the minute Olivia saw Wyatt, she knew he would be hers. Wyatt had been hurt in the past and knew he would never get involved with another woman as long as he lived. After two years of trying to avoid her, they fall into bed together. Wyatt figures that if he has her once, he can walk away and everything will be ok. Can Olivia make Wyatt fall in love with her? Can Wyatt walk away after the amazing sex? This is a must read.
Wyatt... This man will steal you heart.... After he makes you a little mad. Olivia sassy fire driven women but let me tell you their journey will have every one of your emotion in fire!. Grab a few tissues while you are at it. Enjoy this well written, pages on fire story that will light up your heart. A sexy cowboy, a hurt women and his knees..... You won't want to miss this
This book was really a fun read!! I loved how the whole book was a roller coaster of the couple being together then break up and then back again!! And of course there had to be some suspense thrown in. I loved it and can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!
