Who doesn’t fart? Gomer (Gassy Goat) sure does. He enjoys it & makes funny faces. What do the farm animals think? How about the humans?

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) goat farting adventure storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s goat farting movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

An absolute 4-star crowd-pleaser! Gomer the Gassy Goat published by Flowered Press is pure comedy for the preschool to second-grade crowd. The story is goofy, energetic, and perfectly matches what kids find funny. While the rhymes can sometimes feel a bit repetitive to read over and over, the sheer joy it brings to young readers totally makes up for it. Highly recommend for a fun story-time session!
My kids thought this book was really silly. They loved the sing song repetition in this book and now when someone in the house “has a problem” they start describing Gomer! Lighthearted humor that will have kids smiling. Illustrations were just as silly! Super cute and entertaining story!
Kids will love this funny book! The illustrations are fun, and the cumulative story is engaging and clever. This type of repetitive text, helps children learn to read. They will also learn new vocabulary words. Love this author, as she always has great new ideas for books! :) I liked the fun facts about goats!
Cute story for kids, with adorable illustrations, and parents will enjoy reading (and laughing) along with their children... I highly recommend reading this in book form, to be able to appreciate all the lovely colorful illustrations, rather than on a kindle (unless you have a kindle with color). Spoiler alert: try to avoid reading at bedtime unless you are prepared for contagious laughter!!!
My 3 year old was having quiet time in her room when I hear, "Daddy! Daddy!" I ran to her room thinking something was wrong. When I get in there she says, "I need Gomer the Goat has a problem book!"
This is the second time in three days she has asked for this book among so many others we have. The book is funny, rhythmic, and obviously keeps kids attention! Highly recommend!
Gomer the Gassy Goat is a silly picture book about Gomer, the gassy goat, who is also many other things. The adjectives build as the story continues and are great repetitive practice for early readers. My kiddos laughed at the story and colorful illustrations.
Thanks to Sourcebooks Kids and NetGalley for an eARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
My kids loved this humorous story! The illustrations were very well done and the story was so funny! It’s nice to have a book that just makes your kids laugh!
This book and made me laugh so much LOL. It is such a great way of expressing what passing gas is to children and how everyone does it hahaha. I think children will love listening to A Book Like This will make their day and help them laugh.
Another rootin’ tootin’ book full of stinky and funny humor! Loved the illustrations and very well written, as each page gets funnier and more clever! My daughters favorite part was the yoga! Highly recommend!
Kids will love this hilarious book! They will be laughing their heads off as Gomer toots throughout this wonderful book. The building chorus and fun illustrations make this a book kids will be asking for again and again.
I wanted to check to see if my 9-year-old son was into body humor. Nope, it turns out. But I thought it was fun anyway. It's very tongue-twisty and repetitive. Plus, the funny faces on the goat and the other animals!
This book was just like the Wonky Donkey books so not very original. It was very repetitive which was ok for the topic as kids love to talk about farts but for an older child, it could be boring. The illustrations were ok.
Not content with having one accumulating list of words and things, this has two – and they all relate to the titular farty goat. The first things that grow are longer sentences about the goat and his behaviours and tastes, while the second is one of those rhyming, slightly tongue-twisty things that are fun to want to join in with – as will of course be all the raspberries elsewhere. Johannes Gutenberg would be proud.
I loved Gomer the Gassy Goat (mainly because I love goats in general)! This book reminded me of The Wonky Donkey because it was structured similarly and mainly written to be read aloud for a laugh. Nice art and a loveable main character! #Edelweiss
