I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
The Official Daniel Tiger Cookbook is a fun, bright and colourful cookbook for children to do with their grown up. This book would make a great activity to do with your child as a rainy day activity, bonding activity or quality time activity as well as for fun! The book starts by giving the child some important safety information such as not to use things in the kitchen without a grown up and how to wash their hands properly to prevent contamination to the food. Each recipe has a photo of the finished dish for the child to visually see what it will look like and if they want to make it. The book is broken down into sections and each recipe is easy to follow and make. These are very simple recipes and designed to get children more interested in food and cooking which is a great idea for fussy eaters. I marked the book down half a star because each recipe had the ingredients in an illuminous box in the corner which was very hard to read as the writing inside it was in white lettering and I could barely make it out. I think Black lettering would have been more readable.

This cookbook is adorable!!! One of my kiddos loves Daniel Tiger and really enjoyed looking through this cookbook with me. The colors are vibrant and very child friendly, with pictures for each recipe. The recipes are simple, relatively healthy, and very appealing to children as well. There is a section that talks about trying new foods and one on allergies. I love how many of the recipes try to add in veggies in fun ways (like parsnips in nuggets or veggie spaghetti. There are also recipes included that were depicted in various Daniel Tiger episodes/books, like veggie spaghetti and banana swirl, which my child thought was really neat! There are a few ethnic dishes contributed by Dr. Anna and a nice variety in general. We can't wait until this book is published to pick up a physical copy!!!

The Official Daniel Tiger Cookbook is a well thought out book jam packed with recipes that your little loves will adore.

The authors have thought of everything. With positive pages covering food and kitchen safety, hygiene and allergies this is a great first cookbook. I cannot fault this book.

The illustrations are adorable and engaging. The recipe pages are a mixture of illustrations and photography and there are food facts tucked into this book perfect for the little people in your life to spark interest in the recipe and provide some extra learning opportunities.
The book also has a seek and find page as well as a notes and quiz pages at the end. It really is the full package.

The recipes themselves are easy to follow and would be perfect for an early reader.
The recipes also have notes at the bottom on how to make the meal to your dietary requirements.
Every recipe is well balanced and their are no shortage of healthy recipes and treats.

My kids adored this book. Their favourites were the strawberry heart pancakes, lunchbox kebobs and the bagel faces. I feel a lot of cooking is in our future.

I was provided a digital copy of "The Official Daniel Tiger Cookbook" in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This cookbook is so cute, and my kids asked for their own copy as soon as we finished looking it over. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten a chance to make any of the recipes, but we are heading to the store as soon as we're able to grab ingredients.

The inclusion of all the different characters and foods specific to their family/culture, especially some of the newer characters, was phenomenal and showed the inclusivity that we love so much with the Tiger family. The inclusion of different dietary restrictions and mentioning of allergens in cooking was a huge win. It helps tie the cookbook into the show that much more for the little ones and bridges the gap between screen and page.

I think, as a parent, that my favorite part of this cookbook was how it opened up with kitchen safety and proper cleaning tips. Even my partner nodded at this, remembering how when he was growing up it was something that was meant to be common sense according to his parents, but that is actually vital for children to learn when starting out. The little included section on allergies that share a bit from the episode where Daniel finds out that he is allergic to peaches? That was so wonderful to see. Most children aren't taught about this until they are much older and have a horrible experience with the subject; whether it is a friend or themselves who has a terrible reaction out of the blue.

Overall, I will be ordering a copy of this book for my family the moment I can. Until then, I have a few recipes to test out. ^_~

This cookbook is a great opportunity for parents to get children involved and excited about cooking. With kid-friendly drawings and descriptions as well as real photos of the foods, kids will get excited to choose recipes and help make a variety of meals and snacks. Each recipe includes the prep and cooking times and other important information. There are modifications for gluten and dairy in some of the recipes and a list of safety rules and steps to follow. I think this book will be a hit with children in the age 2-7 range. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

Oh my goodness!! What a cute cooking book, first you have a really good introduction in how you must prepare your working area, and how to clean your hands and then you have several recipes from breakfast to snacks, passing by lunch and dinner. And all of these you can try to make with your children, my kids are 5 and 8 years old now, but you can manage to do this with kids older than 3, all the cutting and heat steps are of course made by the adult, young children will do what they like the best, mix things together, and probably the best thing is that, if they help make it, they will most probably try it at least (And I do have a picky eater here).

Daniel Tiger has been a constant friend for the past 7 years, and Its really cute to have some of the recipes that you see on the cartoon brought to life, and that is something that I know my kids will love to try it out.

Thank you NetGalley for the free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

“For fellow netgalley reviewers, for the ones that cant open the file, try to install “adobe digital editions” the file will open without problems in your computer

The Official Daniel Tiger Cookbook is a collection of 45 kid friendly recipes. Each recipe is accompanied by colorful photos and easy to follow instructions. While younger children will need help with some of the preparation, older children would be able to make many of the recipes on their own with minimal supervision.

The introduction includes a section on kitchen safety including the 5 steps of handwashing for kids (and adults). I like that the author included some questions (which recipe did you like the best) for kids in the back of the book along with some space for adults to make notes.

I tested out a few of the recipes, including “Daniel Tiger’s Favorite Peanut Butter and Choc Chip Cookies”, and they turned out great.

This cookbook would make a fun gift for any Daniel Tiger fans or families with younger children who enjoy helping in the kitchen.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing!

When I saw a cookbook with Daniel Tiger, I actually was excited. The pictures, facts, and tips with the entire world was great. I enjoyed reading them a lot.

But the recipes, did anyone test these with young kids first? I was not sure what age group this food was for, because the young ones in my life would not even try most of these. I mean, a cole slaw cheese sandwich?? There were a couple of recipes that I would enjoy but I don't think I am the target audience.

I did try the waffle recipe this morning, they were fine.

We have been obsessed with all things Daniel Tiger since Ronan turned one, and he still likes it even now at 3! We love Daniel Tiger books, and I was so excited to see this new book coming out later this year. Bonus because it's a cookbook - something we can both enjoy! Lately Ronan has been loving to help me in the kitchen so this book is literally perfect for us! I mean... strawberry heart pancakes?! Yes please 🍓 With simple & fun recipes, fans of Daniel Tiger, cooking and fun toddler activities will definitely enjoy this one!

I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for honest review.

I don’t know about you but I have always wondered how to make veggie spaghetti and any number of other foods featured on Daniel Tiger. This is a great book for child and parent fans of the pbs kids show that is this generations dose of the wisdom of the one and only Fred Rogers.

This was a surprisingly good cookbook for the whole family. The recipes are clear and give good instructions on what to do. Our personal favorites were the Daniel Tiger birthday cake and the quesadillas. I really appreciated that there were so many vegetarian options for recipes giving kids lots of ways to eat their veggies.

This cookbook was full of simple and easy to follow recipes. While I don’t think we would try them all, the bright pictures and seeing some of her favourite cartoon characters on the page definitely made my daughter show interest in foods she wouldn’t normally pick.
