This is the 1st book in this series, but there is a prrquel, the Manhattan Men. We meet Chase and Emily. Chase is the oldest of the 6 Manhattan brothers a CPA at his families finace firm. Emily is the owner of Millers chocolate's, a small liquor choclate factory.
Chase has been hired to buy her choclate factory for his dads friend, and a big client for the family. But what happens when the owner is not willing to sell, or when the two start to have fellings for eachother? Can Chase go after the women he is quickly falling for and dissapoint his father and client? Emily has had a pretty tough life, and is guarded and protective of her neice, can she let her guard down enough to let Chase in?
This was an enjoyable read, with a fantastic ending. I can't wait to read the next book and find out who the next brother will find his forever love.

Love books about strong women who are also smart and know what they want.
I like reading about men who have found their equal in women...because we are.
I like when one person's agenda is not anywhere near the other person's agenda, but somehow it works.
When Case is given, no demand by a client to buy a company at any cost, he has no choice but to go and seek out that business to get it.
Emily loves her business. And who wouldn't, it is a chocolate factory. Her heart and soul is in this business. It is not just about the chocolate, it is about the people. It is about her dream and that of her sister who she lost way too early. It is about her niece who she is raising alone. It is about her future too.
When Chase crashes into Emily in her store, he is shocked and runs away. But he has to go back. He is being forced to go back by his client.
But neither of them are prepared for what is going to happen. Who is going to win? Who is going to lose? Is there going to be a winner and loser? Well that my friends is what you will have to find out when you read this great book.
Love the characters and getting to know them. It is a page turner for sure.

The first book in the series really delivers the goods. Case is a billionaire working in his family finance company. He is handed the task of buying a business for his father's friend. Emma is working hard to build and keep her business going. She was awarded custody of her niece. Her life is going well until a good-looking, sweet-talking man walks in her door. He will turn her world upside down. What happens when they start falling for each other? Jacob has written a story with wonderfully descriptive scenes and well-defined characters.

Another great book to the series! This one brings Case and Emma's story. The author does a great job pulling you in and had me glued to the pages reading. He brings strong secondary characters and weaves an entertaining and steamy read. He moves the story fluidly with his descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific read. I'm loving this series and can't wait for the next book!

Truly romantic
Fantastic quick burn love romance book.
Well written great characters and likeable.
When Chase Manhattan goes to buy Emily's chocolate business he doesn't expect to fall for her. The deal for his father's business is at risk.
A good enemies to lovers, billionaire book and I loved the author's writing style.
This is a quick read and full of romance
Highly recommend if you love billionaire enemies to lovers trope.

Wow!!! It’s so hard not to root for Case and Emma. They had this strong connection. You knew it was going to be something special when they finally gave in. I loved how caring he was to her and her little girl. I loved how loving and understanding he was to Emma! They made it worked perfectly. I’m so happy Emma and Case got the ending they deserved! 🍫🥰❤️

This was a good read. Case is supposed to be getting Emma to sell her store. However, he ends up falling in love with her. Things get complicated when she finds out. Thankfully everything works out for them and they get their happy ending.

LOVE IT!!!! Case Manhattan is the oldest son and a CPA at his aunt's firm. When one of his father's oldest clients approached Case about purchasing a small chocolate factory in Harrisburg PA...easy peasy right. Not so much!!! Emma Miller started her chocolate business in her basement and has grown it into the legacy she has now through literal blood, swear and tears. Emma lost her sister, best friend and confident three years ago to cancer and became guardian, aunt and mom to her sweet two year old niece Lucy. Case thinks all he has to do is turn on the Manhattan charm and the deal is done... until he literally crashes into the sexy owner and runs. Getting to know each other and showing Case why the boozey chocolate factory means so much more to her than the offered money is half the battle, falling for him is the other half. Case has never felt for any woman what he feels for Emma and sweet Lucy, so showing Emma his life in Manhattan is the next logical step...that is until his father alluded it's all fake to get Emma to sell. The heartbreak she feels is different from losing her sister but hurts like hell all the same. What is Case willing to do just to get another chance with the beautiful chocolatier and sweet Lucy?? So good from the very beginning!
Case Manhattan is one of the original Manhattan family members. They named the city after them. Case is a CPA and is giveth job of purchasing a company in Pennsylvania called Miller's Chocolate that specializes in liquor infused chocolates. He checks out the website and learns it is owned by a beautiful woman. Thinking it will be a quick and easy sell he flies into Pennsylvania to start the deal. So he invited her to dinner the next night to meet up.
Case is surprised when he actually goes to her chocolate factory and actually bumps into Emma, the owner on his way out. He continues out the door even though he knocked a lot of chocolate to the floor. Emma thinks the guy was a true jersey for not even offering to help her. Then she is shocked that this jerk was the guy she meeting for dinner. Gorgeous, but still a jerk.
Case apologized for running into her and said he was really embarrassed about it happening. Then he begins to tell her he has an offer to buy her business and recipes for $5 million. Emma doesn't know what to say. This is her and her niece Lucy's legacy. Lucy has lived with her for 3 years since her mother, Emma's sister Marie died from cancer. Lucy is now 5.
Emma says she needs time. Case is willing to give her a little. During this time, Case learns more about Emma and her company. He is spending more time in Pennsylvania. He really likes Emma and her sweet niece, Lucy. What was a job becomes so much more.
Oh goodness, I loved this story! There is so much there. Hard to not get feelings from these three. Jacob Parker you wrote an incredible story. I absolutely need to read about all of the brothers. This is the first story I have read of yours but it won't be the last. Enjoy

This is book one in The Manhattan Men Series and it is Case and Emma's story and it is definitely a must read. Case is a shark when it comes to business so when his client decides that he wants Case to buy Miller's Chocolate as the owner had refused his offer it is now up to Case to make sure that she sells. Emma is a single mom to her niece Lucy after Lucy's father died in a car accident and her mom died from Cancer so Emma worked hard to give Lucy the life that she deserved and also works hard for her business at Miller's Chocolate Factory. When Case and Emma meet things didn't go well but the more time that they spend together the stronger there feelings for each other grows but what will happen when things get even more complicated including Emma's business and the pressure is on Case from not only his father but also his client and then throw in the fact that Emma and Case come from totally different backgrounds and live in different cities and things could go very wrong breaking them apart. Omg this story was absolutely amazing, totally addictive and so emotional and I couldn't put it down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and what the outcome would be. Jacob Parker is an amazing author and writer and I can't wait to read more of his book's in the future and I definitely recommend you read his book's and you will definitely not be disappointed.

What an amazing new novel from Jacob Parker. I read The Manhattan Men the prequel to Mr. Real Rich and loved that one as well. Case Manhattan CPA extraordinaire is known for getting what his clients want. Yet when a client wants a candy factory and the owner could care less about the amount of money being offered, I do believe Case has just met his match in Emma Millar. Emma Millar I swear is Super Girl, juggling motherhood on her own, running a successful business, and dealing with her grief. Sparks fly when these two meet and the chemistry becomes more explosive as the pages turn. I loved this new novel in the Manhattan Men series, I loved the close knit family and that the brothers are there for each other, but I would have liked to read more interaction between Cases' parents and siblings with Lucy the first time they met her and with Emma during that same chapter. I was also really confused as to why Rachel was never mentioned when the entire family got together. But overall I loved it. I can't wait for the release of the next novel in the series.

Jacob is a new author to me, and I loved this book about Chase and Emma. Chase is the eldest son in the Manhattan family in New York, and he works as a CPA in his aunt's accounting firm. He has been sent to Pennsylvania to procure Miller's Liquor Chocolates, owned and run by Emma. Emma started the company from scratch with the help of her sister Marie. Marie has since passed away, and Emma is now aunt and mom to Marie's daughter Lucy. Their paths cross when Chase is tasked by one of his father's best friends to acquire Emma's chocolate company. Chase and Emma's first meeting doesn't get off to a great start. Emma is a strong woman and won't put up with anything Chase throws her way to tempt her into selling her business. Chase then tries a different tactic to get to know her and see if he can persuade her that way. But he finds himself falling for Emma... Will his tactics to get her to sell still work, or will everything backfire?
If you love a sweet romance with a bossy billionaire who discovers there's more to life than having money, while he tries to woo the sweet Choclatier, you will love this book. I can't wait to read more of this author's Manhattan Men series.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. Oh my heart strings! I absolutely loved this book!!! It was written in first person POV, which is my favorite, the storyline was great, the amount of drama was perfect, and the steaminess was on point!
Case is the oldest of the Manhattan men. He is ruthless when it comes to his job, he will do anything possible to close a deal. Until he meets the one woman who turned his world upside down. Emma has always had to work hard to get where she was in life. With a thriving business and gaining custody of her niece, she had the best life, or so she thought. Until she met a sweet, charming, easygoing man who turned her world upside down.
They both had to fight for each other, but I loved that through it all, Case was willing to give up everything to prove his love for Emma and Lucy. I also loved that Emma didn’t care about how much money Case had, she only cared about him. I would definitely recommend this book! I can’t wait to read about the next Manhattan who is going to get his life turned upside when he finds his soul mate.

Emma created all of the recipes for the boozy chocolates her company makes. That makes the company very special to her. There is no way she is willing to sell, even for $5 Million!
Case puts his good looks and charm to try and convince her to sell. It doesn't work, but it does help him see that family means everything to her. Emma lost her sister to Breast Cancer a few years before, so she has been raising her niece as her own since then. That gives her little time to get to know men, or even date them. Until Case sweeps into town.

The first time Case met Emma he almost swept her off her feet and caused her to spill her chocolates. This is the second book in the Manhattan Men series and is Case's story. He's the eldest of the six Manhattan brothers and he is a CPA. One of his clients wants to buy a chocolate factory to add to his businesses. Case seeks out the gorgeous young owner, Emma to offer her a deal. Their attraction is strong and their chemistry is explosive. She is raising Lucy, her late sister's precious five year old. Some drama with the potential purchase of the business, some angst and hurt from his father and a client from he.... But when Case falls he falls hard and he's determined to make Emma and Lucy his. No spoiler here but a great HEA that will make you smile. The characters are likable and fun and the story line is entertaining. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Holy smokes this is my first time reading from this author and omg I can't wait for more especially from this series. You will definitely fall in love with the Manhattan Men and this book is all about the oldest son Case . He is a cpa and good at his job but when hired to look into a chocolate company that specializes in chocolate with alcohol can he win over Emma the owner and ceo of the company or will he dare finally find his soulmate only for it to be ripped away? Emma has been raising her niece and owns her own company and refuses to sell it and let men walk over her ,but when she meets Case can she keep her feelings and distance away from him? Or will the truth come out about him? This book was absolutely phenomenal and I am not even going to lie I actually had a few tears with this book. You could connect with the characters emotions and Heartbreak and felt like you are apart of the story. Bravo on a fantastic book.

I so enjoyed Chase and Emily's story, I was hooked from beginning to end totally engrossed, I didn't want to put my Kindle down. It tells about how Chase was supposed to arrange for a friend of his father's, an important client, to buy Emily's chocolate company. If he's successful in this endeavour it will change his life, but will it really be for the better? Once he meets Emily and learns of her love for what she does will he be able to go through with his plans?
She doesn't trust easily but she's starting to trust him, will he betray her trust? Almost from their first meeting, there are sparks flying between them but will she be able to let him into her heart? Will he be able to fulfil his father's plans, will he risk losing the woman he's fallen in love with? Or will he follow his heart?

The more time they get to know each other the more they want to be together. This is another great read from Jacob Parker and I’m looking forward to more Manhattan men books. Great read, which deal is the right one for Case and Emma?

Case Manhattan is a CPA who is know for getting his clients exactly what they want. He always closes the deal. Until he meets the CEO of a small company called Millar's Chocolates that his client wants to acquire.
Emma Millar has become so much more that a potential buyout to Case. He has never been attracted to a woman like this before. The chemistry, the conversations, the way he feels around her has completely blown his mind. WIll be able to close the deal and will it be the right deal - one for him or for his client?
I enjoyed reading this story, he was my first from Jacob Parker and I look forward to reading about the rest of the Manhattan family.

If they really wanted to buy her company,why on earth would his father say all those horrible things to her at the family dinner?? Was that supposed to get her to want to sell?? How stupid. Then later, he’s like, “Oh, I didn’t know you actually cared about her. Sorry.” That was the stupidest part of the book; it made everything else sort of fall apart. Then his brother says, “ oh, get her back at all costs. Buy her things. That might work. “ Really? Really? I know this was written by a man, but that is the best idea he could come up with? I was sort of enjoying the book to that point but never really trusted Case. Even after she ran out his first thought was, “ well guess we probably lost the deal for sure now. “. Again, really??? That’s your first thought?? Ugh. Then she got back with him and all was well in like literally two seconds. 🙄. Ugh.

OK I read a couple negative reviews and this book is three times the length of the prequel, but I think I'm going to try it anyway.
Most longer books have authors using a lot of words to say nothing while being EXTREMELY repetitive and full of inconsistencies or wishy washy inner monologing. So far this author is neither.
One problem, both books stress that they are one of six brothers. Yet this book the hero lists 6 brothers. Plus him that's 7.
I'm not fond of slow burn books because they're filled with a lot of words about stuff I don't care about.
I'm also not fond of previous characters being omitted. In Bram's book he got with Rachel. The hero here mentioned a brother having a girlfriend. Yet the whole family kept having dinners and get together and neither Rachel nor Heather were there :'( I want to see what's happening with past characters since they're family members.

This is such a great read.
Case is a CPA in the family business so when he is tasked with buying a chocolate factory by one of their clients but when he meets the owner he is struck dumb with how beautiful she is.
Emma is busy running her business and looking after her 5 year old niece Lucy and what she doesn't need is someone trying to buy the business.
The chemistry between them is off the charts and they can't seem to stay away from each other even when she turns down his offer.
They are so good together, all three of them but what will happen when the client and Case's father try to push the purchase.
A brilliantly written story with plenty of drama and so much emotion but also so much love. I loved the ending.

I am really liking this series, Case is the oldest of the Manhattan brothers, a CPA as numbers were always his thing. The family’s firm is run by his aunt. One of their larges clients wants to buy a liquor chocolate company, Miller’s Chocolates, to take it nationwide. Case arrogantly tells him it will be no problem, he will get him the company.
Emma started the company in her basement and has no intention of letting it go. Case gets more than he bargained for when he meets Emma and her niece Lucy. Will Case work in his client’s best interest or will Emma come first?
I cannot wait for more in this series.

Absolutely wonderful. I love this new series by Jacob Parker. Case has been waiting his whole life to find his soulmate. Billionaire Case Manhattan goes to Pennsylvania to purchase a chocolate factory for one of his clients. When he meets the owner, Emma, he is floored. The more he gets to know her, the more he likes her. He doesn’t pressure her on selling, he is more concerned with getting to know her. And when he does, he realizes she’s “the one“. What a beautiful romance. I love that Case is willing to open his heart and tell Emma exactly how he feels. Their love is off the charts hot and happens quick like a bunny. But when you know, you know. The drama that happens will shock you, but the making up, is so wonderful. Fantastic.

This is one “sweet” story that revolves around a chocolate and love. Case is a CPA and he is darn good at his job so when a client wants something they come to him because he is a go getter and will do whatever it takes to get his clients what they want. So, when his client wants to purchase the chocolate factory Case is determined to make it happen
Emma is the owner of the chocolate factory and love it. She has had her share of hard times but is determined to over come them. When these two meet it is so cute and you will fall in love with them from the beginning.
Jacob Parker done a wonderful job with this first book in The Men of Manhattan series. Great way to start off. I was honored to receive an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving an honest review.

I Love Chocolate!
Well the more I read the more I love. So far the 2 books I've read in this series have been wonderful. The Manhattan Men have been a joy. The family is huge with six boys and the father's where four who all had six children a piece.
This story was about the oldest son Case, a CPA and Emma Miller who owned a chocolate factory. There's a lot to this story about Emma's sister and her sister's daughter and a man trying to buy her chocolate factory. That's were Case comes into the story along with everything that comes with his famous last name Manhattan, the founding fathers in New York.
You need to read the book to get all the wonderful and not so wonderful details.

Easy read, liked storyline, prefer more depth
Enjoyed the storyline, easy read, IMO needed more depth to connect me to the feelings I usually get from a good romance, picked the book because it was written by a man and wanted to hear from a guy's perspective, probably why it was not as deep, they think differently than women (we think too much), nothing wrong with that just not as fulfilling for me emotionally. The sex was okay, nothing that got me excited, the quickness of the act was closer to real life in my experience but her ease of orgasms was unrealistic IMO (wish they were that easy! LOL
Side note: I wish more romance writers would read "She Comes First" to understand the female body and orgasms and use more realistic descriptions.
I DO recommend this book.

Definitely a book that you won’t forget. These Manhattan Men will definitely make me read this again. This book was just the right amount of drama and spice and heartfelt moments that just make this book for what it is so it definitely deserves a standing ovation if this was a movie. However, I just wish there was bonus to this and I can’t wait to read the other Manhattan Man books this series so far is good hopefully it stays like that and btw this is not in my top three favorite but honestly I think it deserves its own ranking in my head so in this ranking this book will be number one in the acquisition ranking. I think it will better suit it since it totally different from most books I read so I will definitely recommend this.
