Too similar to Fury New Species by Laurann Dohner, the exact same opening plot, company splicing human and animal genes to create super soilder killing predators. It's not the first time even this year that I've questioned how much of the plot, characters and scenes being similar to another book by a different author is theft.
I said on a review of a book on Amazon this week called Crow, published in 2020, that it had a plot, characters and story that honestly seemed to have been taken from a wattpad author's story I'd read in 2018, and Amazon promptly banned me from being able to leave reviews or rate books on Amazon. They also deleted all my reviews, even my hundreds of 5 and 4 star reviews.
But I still have to say that this seems too similar to L.Donher's Fury for my liking. The entire opening is the same, the splicing of animal and human DNA, the a secret lab, the super soilders, the pheromones, the females, the human female scientist rebelling to free the subjects, her being a mate to one etc, all and more are from Fury.
Can't believe Amazon banned me for pointing out the things in a book that were seemingly taken from another book, and deleted all my reviews. But moving on. This is also poorly written. Like this example, copied and pasted directly from the book, "His teeth, when they emerged with anger, were as sharp as any predator". Since the 'teeth' are stated as belonging to the 'predator', it should therefore be 'predator's'.
It's not the only example of poor writing and zero editing in the book, there are numerous issues. Enough to say that the writing is amateur and the sentence structure and word choices are so basic that they really didn't make for pleasant reading. The writing quality and ability of the author are too basic.
Numbers people modified and treated worse than an animal. Lila sales person at aim tech. Treatises by her nutty boss as his to abuse. Read how she helps release the numbers
I gave 4 stars because the behave of Lila was questionable. Ridiculous even. Her decision was the worst she could came with. But in the end, she make it.
Very fun, quick read. I enjoyed the characters, the plot, which was always unpredictable and the concept of Moon city and its residents. The villain was very well written too, making the story even more interesting.
