WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Caden and Emery met on speed dating. Caden gets called away but Emery still circles a yes for him. Emery's sister wants her to circle one yes, and after meeting twenty single men Caden is the only one that sends a tingle in her low belly. Caden was called away because he's on stand by for the Medevac crew. When one of the other soldiers gets injured Caden is the only one that call fill in. Before Caden's time is done he gets a call that he was matched with Emery and gets her phone number. Caden sends Emery a message asking her if she'll join him and bring her dog Duke for pizza. Emery agrees to met Duke, her sister shows up and she tells her all about her speed dating. Caden kisses Emery then she asks him to come back to her apartment with her. Caden pleasures Emery then they make love. The next morning when Emery wakes up she's wrapped in Caden, he offers to take Duke out on a walk and grab coffee. Caden calls his mom to let her know he's found someone while walking Duke. Duke and Emery go back to bed where they spend most of the day making love. Emery is woken by Caden's phone when he opens the message she sees it finding out that he's moving. Caden tries to explain but Emery tells him he needs to leave. A few days later Emery's sister Alana shows up with ice cream for her, but tells her she needs to talk a shower. Emery's sister talks to her and tells her she's in love with Caden. Emery gets dressed and her sister tells her they're going to look for Caden. When Emery walks out the door she runs right into Caden, he has red roses for her. Caden and Emery talk about his move to Alaska. Caden tells Emery he wants her to come with him, he's in love with her. Emery forgives Caden and agrees to move with him. Emery takes Caden into her apartment where they spend time making up. One year later, Emery calls her sister to let her know that she's pregnant. Caden wanted to wait a little while before telling everyone, next they call his mom. Caden tells Emery he loves her. Emery tells Caden she loves him.

Dating the Soldier is a part of a multi-author, Valentine’s-themed series. This book is about Emery and Caden. Emery has made a deal with her sister Alana that if she goes to the Valentine’s Day speed dating event, she’s not allowed to play matchmaker for a whole year. However, Alana counter-negotiates, saying that if Emery doesn’t circle at least one yes on the score card she was given, the deal is off! Her 14th five-minute date looks and sounds very promising, but he’s called away on a work emergency, cutting their time together short, and leaving a sour taste in her mouth.
Lo and behold though, they both circled each other’s names on their score cards, and receive a phone call from MatchMakers. The rep informs them that they have a match, sharing their names and contact phone numbers. While Caden is really excited, Emery is more reserved as she felt she got dumped and run out on before they had a real chance to talk. But with the threat of more blind date set-ups from her sister, Emery agrees to a date. And with his genuine interest in her dog, she wouldn’t want to say no anyway.
Emery is surprisingly brazen and open with what she wants, and he encourages her to take that lead. It’s really sweet and hot AF! When she experiences a special first with him, it’s sizzling-hot. And when he says, “I’ve got you”, I practically melted! They fall fast, but they just fit – until she discovers his secret. It may just be enough to break them apart.
It’s an OTT but sweet and steamy story that gives off some serious “0r9asm energy” as Alana so eloquently puts it! Their connection seems genuine, and their quick journey is a lot of fun! I give this book four and a quarter speedy stars.

The stories all have the same premise in that there is a speed dating event on Valentine's Day and the couples find each other there. Emery Jenkins does not want to be at the speed dating event. But after suffering through a couple dozen bad blind dates set-up by her older sister she has made a deal with her...if she goes to the event and marks yes to at least one potential match then her sister will give her a reprieve for a year. After all Emery is okay being alone as she has her work, her dog Duke and her own quiet life. Captain Caden Michael's is in the Army and a Medevac pilot. He loves to fly but when his mother almost breaks down in tears over the phone at him being single for another Valentine's Day he ends up going to the speed dating event. It seems she is concerned with him finding someone and her getting grandkids. When Caden sits down at Emery's table at the event he asks one question, which is not on the list, but is the most important question....and she is the only one who answers it correctly. Emery agreed to do a speed dating event if her sister will spot setting her up on blind dates for a year. Caden meets Emery at the speed dating event. He asks her a question not on the list, but she thinks is just ask important. "Where does the dog sleep?" This is a done deal for Caden. However, he gets a phone call that interrupts their date. Emery thinks he just wanted to leave but she still circled his name. Caden can't forget Emery and thinks he lost his chance. Imagine his surprise when he gets a call that he is matched with her. Emery is stunned when she gets matched to Caden, but she accepts when he asks her out on a pet friendly date. Its not long before things heat up. However, Caden has a secret that could end things between them. Will he get a chance to explain before its too late?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a wel written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A dare from her sister Alana causes Emery to go on a speed dating event, promising to stop setting her up if she at least says yes to one of the men there. After saying NO to fourteen of them, she meets Caden, but after just a few minutes he gets an emergency phone call and leaves. Surprised that they both put down YES for that really short intro, they are matched and head for pizza. The characters are heartwarming with great banter and emotions. When a roadblock happens, the few days apart make them both want to grovel. The storyline is fast-paced but right on target, with a sweet romantic vibe between them. Love their chemistry, Duke included. The ending is wonderful and brings the story all together. The author should redo this storyline in a longer, much more detailed book. It would be fantastic!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Dating the soldier is a novella in the ‘’matchmaker inc’’ collection.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. In order to appease her big sister, Emery Jenkin attends a speed dating event. Caden is a soldier that meets Emery briefly at the event. Will they find one another again?
The chemistry between Emery and Caden is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked that Caden didn’t give up on Emery. I also liked how Emery’s sister gave her the push she needed.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

A speed dating is the last place Camden or Emery wanted to be, but when things were looking up, Emery's date takes off after one date. Camden liked Emery, but when his phone range he knew he could not ignore his duty.

Overall it was a fun read. Emery was a little frustrating because of how quickly she was willing to push Caden away. Then again, part of me understands because I wouldn’t be to happy after that bomb was dropped. I’m happy these two overcame the drama and it was a good HEA.

I really liked this Valentine's Day love story. It was sweet, entertaining, and very enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. At times the characters were over the top with their actions and their emotions. Caden and Emery met at a Valentine's Day dating event. They were supposed to have 5 minutes but something came up, so they didn't get the full time. Emery seemed like an introvert but it could be that she was very shy. Caden was a military man so he was all about doing what he needs to do as quickly and efficiently as possible. This was instalove but also fun. Slightly steamy but also caring. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Enjoyed reading the love story between Caden and Emery. All I can say is who doesn't love a fly boy..wink wink. Both of them wanted someone to love but just hadn't found the one. Emery's biggest thing was he must love her dog and where he was allowed to sleep. Caden was her knight in shining armor. Her dog loved him as much as she was falling in love. One problem, Caden didn't tell her he had orders for a permanent change of station to Alaska. Read what happens when she finds out. It's a good book. I hope you will enjoy it too. Written by Cindy :)

A great read in this series. Both Emery and Caden were conned into attending the speed dating event. When they finally meet the sparks start to fly but Caden abruptly leaves without any explanation. When Caden is finally able to get in touch with Emery to explain what happened she is more then willing to see where their connection takes them. A quick read with an engaging story. The characters are likeable and a four legged furry friend that hooks you even more. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Emery works from home as a coder and her sister has been setting her up on blind dates and finally she agrees to go to a speed dating event just to get her sister to leave her alone. She meets Caden who is a pilot in the military and just when they are hitting it off he gets a call where he has to leave immediately. Thinks she has been dumped she is upset only to find out why he had to leave so when he comes back he tracks her down to tell her he cares deeply for her and wants her to move to Alaska with him as he is being transferred. Sweet romance.

They finally get together, but he has a secret about his job, and it derails the relationship. There is a happy ending, though. The book is short and steamy, and I love her dog. This is cute little multi-author series; I've only read a couple of the books, but I love the idea behind the series. I loved the story, wish it was longer, but I still loved it. It was a short loved story, love at first sight for both our MCs, or is it because of their common love for a dog. Anyways, they've met again and sparks did fly but he was leaving and stationed far away. Will they have their hea? But of course, after he grovels.

My oh my... if speed dating always turns out like this , sigh me up. This story was hot and steamy, passionate, insta attraction and a forever love.
Caden is a strong sexy swoon worthy military man and Emery is a strong independent woman who is just looking for that spark.

This was such a fun and quick paced read, before you know your half way done. Loved the characters and how they just knew right fr9m the start with one question. The characters reactions were honest pure and heartfelt, liked how everything played out as it definitely was a whirlwind romance.

I love Kali Hart’s writing style and things are we always well written. This book is insta love to the max with the quickest turn around of all time but it was cute with likable characters so I enjoyed it.

This was a great book. Emery and Caden were a sweet couple and I loved the little bit of angst in their story.
This was a great book. Emery and Caden were a sweet couple and I loved the little bit of angst in their story.
