I expected to get way more out of this book than I did. Out if 101 ideas, not many were new to me and a lot of them just weren't my style, like making a "retro shower curtain" out of an old chenille bedspread. I read the book with a pencil and notepad next to me, ready to jot down ideas, and after reading the entire book I realized I hadn't taken a single note. Not a good sign.

To tell you the truth, this book was disappointing. Normally if it says Country Living you can count on a good quality book. This one struck me as an attempt to make some quick money. It was simply reprints of magazine pages and snippets of articles. Bummer.

I've been on the look out for fast/cheap decorating ideas now that I've got a new home. I doubt that I'll use these ideas since they would take me longer than a weekend to complete, and many just aren't my style.

Just OK. Not really my style. Many of the ideas did not have a corresponding pictures. It really was just a glorified list of ideas. Not bad, just not for me.
