Can a jaded playboy find forever with his curvy mail order bride and her baby? Or will her past ruin their future?
Logan
The town calls me Love ‘Em and Leave ‘Em Logan.
Growing up as a foster kid, I figured out quick that if I’m the first to say goodbye then it doesn’t hurt. After all, nothing lasts forever. That’s why I’m not looking forward to my upcoming wedding.
In order to secure my place as a Scott heir and finally be a member of a real family, I have to get married and quick. My late grandfather already put everything in motion by finding me a mail order bride.
But when I show up to claim my woman, she’s carrying the mother of all surprises: a little baby girl. One look at two sets of scared eyes and I know that I’ll do whatever it takes to protect my girls and make this marriage last.
Audrey
I didn’t feel great about lying.
I’m a mail order bride with a baby on my hip. I didn’t mention it in the profile because I couldn’t risk getting turned away. If what Logan’s profile said is true, he’s just as desperate to make this marriage work as I am.
But no matter how kind Logan is or how good he is to my daughter, I can’t forget that I have a past. A past that could show up at any moment and destroy the little family I’m building with my cowboy husband.
The Scott Brothers are fierce cowboys in need of mail order brides so they can claim their rightful inheritance. But that’s not the only thing these rough and dirty cowboys plan to claim! Each book in the Courage County Brides series is standalone with NO cheating and NO cliffhangers. Just a sweet, sexy HEA so you can get your swoon on.

Another great quick read. I probably have to give this one a 4.5 because the heroine annoyed me to death a few times but I absolutely loved Logan and how he loved little Paisley.
If I’ve read this blurb from almost any other author I’d never read the book, but the truth is that blurb doesn’t make justice to the story. I’ve read a few books from this author and although her stories are sweet and safe, the topics are not easy, she doesn’t avoid any kind if situation, This new serie is really good and the small town that she has created is full of promising love stories, her heroes are alpha but not something ridiculous, the insta love is more like an insta connection and acknowledge that something good in the mc lives,
I continue to love this series about eight brothers, each forced to marry a mail order bride to keep their family’s land intact, after their grandfather passed.
Logan gets his chance in this installment. As with his seven brothers, Logan comes from the foster system and carries heavy scars from his past, both physical and mental. Rather than get too close to any woman, he protects his heart and sticks with the physical. This lifestyle suits him just fine. Until…
He meets his bride, Audrey and her baby girl, Paisley, who wasn’t part of the deal. No worries, Logan falls in love with both of them instantly and reading about to care for a baby becomes his jam.
Buy Audrey’s got secrets and sadness shining in her eyes. Logan is a means to get out of a horrible situation and she doesn’t plan on sticking around. Logan has his work cut out for him to earn Audrey’s trust and love.
Get ready, Logan is going to make your ovaries explode in this one. Hot and Sweet are on the menu. Audrey, once she stops thinking about running, is about to get the happily ever after she never knew existed.
Logan lives and works at the Scott ranch with his seven foster brothers. As a child, he was abused, and carries scars all over his body (and inside). Audrey is on the run with her baby daughter. The two of them need a spouse quickly, and they meet each other through a mail-order bride service. The challenge as with all of the characters in the series is whether they can overcome their wounds and earlier damage to love and trust again.
This is a neat series premised on eight foster brothers having to marry in order to inherit their land, a ranch on which all of them found safety and security as troubled, desperate children. Their late grandfather, who outlived the foster parents, contracted with a mail-order bride service to ensure his wishes were carried out. There is so much to this series I tore through it one book after another. Very much recommended for those who love steamy cowboy romance books.
Trope: Mail Order Bride, Alpha Cowboy, Single Mom, Age Gap
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spicy: 🌶🌶
Review:
This is the second installment in the Courage County Brides series. The Logan Scott received the news he and his eight brothers must marry to receive their inheritance. Their grandfather thought of everything even the mail order bride matchmaking service for the brothers to use.
Logan has become my favorite in this series. He is compassionate and protective. Audrey shows up baby in tow and Logan don’t bat an eye. They both have past that taught the world is a cruel place. Logan may have come terms with his past, but Audrey hasn’t. It will take a great deal of trust for them to open up to each other.
Sorry, not a fan of this one. The first book was so good and I had high hopes for this one, loved the premise but it just didn’t measure up. I liked the H but the fact that he volunteered with babies because he felt like garbage and never wanted the h to know why was heart breaking and unresolved. The h I just couldn’t get behind, had this been a full length book and she had time to transition from the broken person she was into someone that fully trusted her new husband in a realistic way perhaps I could have connected with her but she was super closed off and still planning on running until nearly the end of the book and then has a neck breaking change of heart and then the book wraps up and we never get the two of them truly opening up to each other and loving the true versions of themselves.
Enjoying this series. Perfect light reading to kick off my vacation. Spicy? Yes! But just the right amount. I am not a fan of sex books where a story is shoved in between the gaps somehow. This is just right! The story is the main course with some steamy scenes that fit well. I love how this story connected to the first with an over lapping scene. Lately, these are super short stories, yet the author manages to have a full story arc. No easy task in so few pages! On to the next. Think I can blow this whole series out during vacation. Then maybe move on to the mountain men series if the quality stays this good to the end. These are fabulously fun.
This story was so good. Two people with hard pasts meet through a mail order bride matchmaking service and they are absolutely perfect for each other. She came with a baby he instantly loves and he wants to protect them both. These characters are so good for each other. Loved it.
Audrey & daughter Paisley Jolene, and Logan Scott. Great little read by Mia Brody. This character Logan is OTT! Along with all the Scott brothers. Logan confesses to a crime Audrey thinks she committed to protect Audrey his mail order bride and her daughter Paisley Jolene. This is a book you cannot put down until you finish!
Paisley Jolene was it for me. As soon as I heard the baby's name, I was hooked. Lol, seriously I loved how the heroes are in need of love just like the heroines. They want to be needed and loved for who they are and not what they have.
Poor Audrey had a rough childhood now she was running from something and her new husband Logan was trying to figure out what. Logan the playboy of the family finally found his forever in Audrey and her daughter. Now he just had to convince Audrey to stop running.
I loved the 1st book in this series, and this one was just as good. Can't wait to read the rest. You don't need to read them in order, but I would recommend it.
Logan and Audrey story is so sweet. I enjoyed it a lot and loved baby Paisley. This one had a little suspense to it. I liked that. Logan takes to them both quick and Audrey just wants to survive.
We had a glimpse of Logan in the first book, and I think we all fell in love with him the minute he met Paisley! Logan and Audrey had so much chemistry and you could really emphatise with how torn Audrey was trying to protect herself and being open to love. Loved it!
Realmente podemos conocer a los personajes y el conflicto se resolvió sin muchos problemas. El tipo de novela que se puede dejar y retomar fácilmente más adelante, ya que la trama no es demasiado profunda.
Logan must marry and accept a mail order bride. When Audrey arrives, she's brought along something unexpected, her baby girl. Logan immediately knows she's hiding something. Will Logan and Audrey share their secrets and have their HEA?
Audrey didn't tell her mail order husband Logan that she had a baby, but the second he sees Audrey holding Paisley in her arms, he claimed both girls for his own. I do believe my remaining ovary exploded when Logan admitted the went to the hospital to cuddle babies. *sa-wooon x10*
I enjoyed this book. It was a great quick read. I loved Logan and Aubrey. Logan is a dream guy to meet for a single mom. I felt the connection between all of them right from the start. It was a cute well developed story with great feels.
