When her first book was published in 1991, she used the money from her advance to take her family to Disney World.

Saat sedang menjadi pengasuh sementara untuk anak bosnya, Amanda mengetahui bahwa ternyata hubungan antara Jack--bosnya-- dan anaknya tidak harmonis. Jack tidak terlalu akrab dengan putri kecilnya, sejak istrinya meninggal.
Sementara akhirnya Amanda menjadi sangat dekat dengan putri kecil Jack.
Dan Jack.. yang selama ini tidak pernah memperhatikan Amanda selain sebagai asistennya..akhirnya menyadari bahwa Amanda memiliki daya tarik yang tidak bisa dihindari olehnya.
Selain berhasil mengambil hati putri kecil Jack, amanda juga berhasil membuat Jack mempercayai orang lain lagi dan meyakinkannya untuk menikah dengannya.
Sementara akhirnya Amanda menjadi sangat dekat dengan putri kecil Jack.
