Semantic Error (Novel) #1

Semantic Error - Lỗi Logic - Tập 1

Rate this book

I don't know it's intentional or just a coincidence but it's so obvious that sagwoo is autistic coded. As an autistic person it makes me so happy.

I read the first season of the manhwa on one go and I loved it so much. Looking forward to the next season and planning to read the webnovel. Would definitely recommend if you like fluffy stuff with lots of banter, teasing and pining hehe. It's a common enemies to lovers trope but the art is gorgeous and I like the two lead characters.

S P O I L E R

At first I really felt bad for him because jaeyoung messing up his system, it might look funny from outside but it's not really easy and things like that can pile up and end up ruining everything for somebody.

But I was really happy when Jaeyoung drops his act. I love these two. I want to see their interactions more. I love this story so much

TROPES:
⁴⁰⁴ Grumpy/sunshine
⁴⁰⁴ Neurodivergent MC
⁴⁰⁴ Hate to Love
⁴⁰⁴ Opposites Attract

«Jaeyoung Jang is like an irregular sequence. I don’t like things without patterns. They’re unpredictable.»

I need more of these two immediately. I loved seeing Jaeyoung go from wanting to bother Sangwoo to just wanting him to see him. These two had me giggling and blushing, and the romance hasn’t even started yet!!

“Why would you chase after me?”
“‘Cos it was weird. You ran so I just ran after you without thinking.”
“That’s even weirder.”

These guys are such a perfect pairing. My favorite part was Sangwoo just short-circuiting when Jaeyoung started being nice to him. I can’t wait to see more of their super cute story unfold.

“What do you think you’re doing?!”
“You told me to follow you.”

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley, and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH??? The slow burn, hate to love, grumpy x sunshine, opposites attract story of my dreams.

The fact that they haven't even kissed yet but I'm already hyperventilating. I swear I squealed my way to the point of tears through this so I have no choice but to give 5 stars.

Me gustó.

So far, the best enemies-to-lovers trope I've ever read. I must say that it is done really well. Their tensions ((—both sexual and emotional one)) are amazingly portrayed. The build up and conflicts and story-telling are just mmmh— [chef's kiss] GOD TIER

The characterization, themes, setting, artworks, smooth storylines, basically everything... are straight up my alley.

I don't have any complaints. Thank you for your amazing services Soori and Angi-nim 🙇🏻‍♀️

Off to season two, go go! 🛵💨

AAAHHHH I REALLY LOVED THIS NOVEL!! THE BEST ENEMIES TO LOVERS I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME! I really loved this first volume from start to finish. I really love my precious boys and need to read them saying "bastard" to each other while doing erotic things (lmao). Jaeyoung and Sangwoo are my new favorite couple.

4.5 🌟

i loved this! i enjoyed the web series adaptation so much, as well! wish it was longer, though. sangwoo is such a great character, his development and duality with jaeyoung is unexpected and a great use of the enemies-to-lovers trope. also! sangwoo is autistic-coded? which i think would be great.

AMAZING!!, I was a little bit worried about reading the webtoon because I really really liked Semantic Error's dorama, I didn't want the webtoon to ruin all my love to this series. Nevertheless It didn't, in fact the dorama and the webtoon are at the same level of likeness. The drawings are amazing, the amount of work that it has is surreal. I still have left some volumes to read, but talking about this one I felt tons of emotions while reading it, the strongest point of this book is that it felt real, everything develops slowly, nothing is rushed. I have to say that in the drama everything went a little bit fast but it is comprehensible as there are only 8 chapters, also volume 1 doesn't cover all the episodes of the drama so I'm looking forward to read the next volume and see the scenes that I haven't seen yet.

I must talk a little bit about the characters, both character are amazing, I adore their personalities and their looks. Their enemies-to-lovers is funny, (though they aren't lovers yet), the way Jang Jaeyoung teases Chu Sangwoo is hilarious.

I'm looking forward to read the next volume.

DNF. i was loving the humor and the contrasting personalities (i’m also a sucker for one-sided enemies to mutual lovers) but the consent issues were too bothersome for me to continue—and frankly, out of character.

jaeyoung takes advantage of sangwoo while he’s drunk and saying things like “i’m too drunk to do this” “slow down” “are you even listening?” and “i’m not ready”. jaeyoung was completely aware that what he was doing was wrong, talking himself down and saying that he’s not the kind of guy who pounces on a wasted person without their consent.

well… who’s gonna tell him.

i was already done with this manhwa since too many good stories are weakened with the kissing your crush in their sleep trope, but it was somehow able to get worse. it’s like the writer was in a rush and had to find some screwed up way to fit fan-service in and it did not pay off. it had potential to be one of my favorites, but the issues with consent quickly turned into a domino effect after sangwoo kissed him in his sleep. yuck.

the drama finished a few days ago and i miss jaeyoung and sangwoo, so i thought i'd give the manhwa a go... and i love it so much omg.

the art is iconic, it's so unique and so cool how it incorporates gaming/coding/computer visuals.

i legit laughed out loud so many times, their internal thoughts are something else.

excited to continue this whilst i wait for s2 of the show!! (there better a damn s2 even if we have to wait like 2 years ffs)
