Dark, dangerous and desirable. When I came to London, It wasn't to find him. A man who shrugged on a life of crime like a well-worn jacket. A man who made my principles desert me in a heartbeat. A man who invokes fear, desperation and longing with just one flash of his deadly eyes. A protector, a destroyer and a man with no mercy. The one man I want and can't have. My Stepbrother. Max They say you always want what you can't have. That's never applied to me... until now. One taste is all I want but it will never be enough. Warned off and threatened with my life and if I had any sense I'd back off - but I can't. You know what? I don't follow rules, I break them. And I'm going to break them over and over again when I claim her soul to burn in Hell alongside mine. This is forbidden, dangerous and catastrophic love and I'm about to start a war. What these two have is wonderful, passionate and dangerous, If not to others to their families . Just the looks that pass between them rocks the world, and set fire to your kindle.
Excellent book, I’m dying to read Charlie’s book when it comes out.

An entertaining read featuring Charlie and Tracey who we met previously in Max’s book. I love that this is set in London, so few books are so this is a plus for me. Tracey is a sweet FMC trying to move on with her life after Charlie dumped her. Love that they both get.a second chance here, always good to see the MC redeem himself after messing up. There’s a good backstory woven in as Charlie struggles to do right by Tracey while helping his friend. Stella is as always a master storyteller and this is a great suspenseful read.
Just finished reading this book. Stella is a new author for me and I am so glad I found her in KU. This book had a possessive alpha who saw what he wanted a went for it . The heroine is kicking ass and taking names. If you like action and drama with some spice included, this is for you. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
The Carter Brothers book 1. J read this book a while back and it still is a really great read. Fabulously written. Filled with twisty angst, high drama, tense filled action and oh so tingle worthy. The Carter brothers story with make you smile, growl, gasp. Onto the next book.
He's the bad boy you were warned about and then some. It's truly unfair! The o ly guy you connect with after severe trauma is your new stepbrother... the only guy to ever make you take notice.
While it was a decent storyline, the characters were pretty juvenile and flat. I was entertained though- just not enough to read Charlie's story.
What a quick and relatively easy read. I loved Summer and Maxwell's chemistry and tension. They are actually perfect for eachother. Their family dynamics in this story was amazing. I adored Joey and Rose. Charlie was also amazing. I can't wait to read his story. I love me a London Gangster book and this one didn't disappoint.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am a huge fan of Stella Andrew’s and wasn’t disappointed. Unexpected love comes in various forms as Summer finds her new family.
Great storyline straight to the point and lots of dynamics going on within the family. Max and Summer were made for each other and I am glad Rose stood up to Joey so they could be together. The book was also just the right length. Now for Charlie's story
Losing your family and then finding your other family an n nd add that you are into your step brother and he is into you. Soul mates but scary. Now, onto Charlie's awakening.
It was a decent read, fast and easy to follow. The characters are not anything special but I'm a sucker for a bad boy romance lol. Not a huge fan of Summer as she felt like the perfect girl with no flaws, hard to relate to. I am excited to read Charlie and Tracey's story.
A great story set in the East End of London. Summer has moved to London to live with an Aunt after losing her own family.Max is working for his family business and when the two meet sparks fly. The work Max and his brother Charlie do for their Dad puts Summer and her cousin Tracey in danger and Max questions whether he should walk away before Summer gets hurt. This is a fabulous story and allows us to discover the loyalty and love that the men of the East End have for those close to them. A another great read from Stella.
Brutally British is my first read by Stella Andrews, and it definitely won’t be my last - especially since I’m already desperate for Charlie’s story!
This book kicks off the Carter Brothers series, centering on Max and Summer. The story felt like a quick read, but it packed plenty of punch. The plot grabbed my attention from the start and held it throughout. I especially loved the forbidden romance element and getting a taste of the dynamic between the Carter brothers.
One of the highlights for me was Summer. Her journey took some unexpected turns, and I really enjoyed her interactions with Max - and especially with Joey.
That said, I would have liked a bit more depth in the development of Max and Summer’s relationship. Some moments moved a little too quickly for my liking, and I found myself wishing for a deeper emotional build-up.
Still, I thoroughly enjoyed this introduction to both the series and the author's work. I can’t wait to dive straight into Fiercely British next!

Made in London had an interesting start. I was drawn in with the storyline, curious to see where it would take me with the tragedy Summer went through and her finding out about her father. I did feel that the car accident and the dad revelation is a bit overused in literature, but I wasn’t really that bothered about it since the story was picking up for the big first time meeting her father and “brothers” moment. I did however dislike the level of angst she put out there before that since it didn’t really shine through her actions. She kept saying she had no reason to live and how nothing would ever give her joy again. A person like that would just lie down and not get up again. But she instead traveled to London, sought out her distant relatives and had the need to meet her father as well as make friends with her cousin. That is the opposite of what she would have done if she really felt that depressed.
Despite that I enjoyed the beginning of the story. Sure, it could have used some work and been polished up a bit, but it was intriguing enough for me to see through the minor issues I had and get pulled into the story. Sadly, it deteriorated quickly. While I noticed some problems from the beginning, those problems suddenly became vastly apparent. One of said problems were the characterization. There was no level of depth to any of the characters, no quirks, no strong emotion, no hobbies and no normal conversation. They just weren’t believable as human beings and when I read I got the feeling like they were amateurs acting out a script, not really believing in anything they were saying or doing. There was no depth behind their emotions or dialogues and in turn there was very little character development.
The lack of characterization also made the relationship development lacking. Considering it was next to none. Instead building up an intense and heartbreaking forbidden relationship between a stepbrother and sister it was made an insta-love one, taking all the passion, fun and effort out of the equation. Quite frankly I found it lazy and it made both Summer and Max seem vain because they didn’t know each other, so all they could fall in love with were their looks. The same with the relationship between Summer and Joey. There were no strangers getting to know each other like how it is in real life. No, just from seeing each other for the first time they were suddenly real daughter and father with the years of love that comes with it. Their insta-connection was blamed on biology as if that’s how biology works. Seriously, Stella Andrews needs to take a biology lesson because biology does not make strangers to a close-nit loving family in seconds just because you share some DNA.
Then we had the dialogues, but I’d rather call them speeches because that was exactly what they were. Every character gave some sort of speech about growth, acceptance, moving on and love. Especially the love speeches was annoying since that was pretty much all that was said between Max and Summer. And the back and forth of “I must have you”, “I can’t have you”, “I must have you again” was just all over the place and made no sense since the decisions they made came out of nowhere and was not explained properly. It became repetitive as much else in the story, which brings me to the next big issue; the repetition. Over and over I read words like “you see”, “babe”, “ love” and “let it all out” when someone was crying. The nickname babe was especially annoying since every one called everyone that all the time and it was kind of a creepy thing for a fifty year old guy calling a young girl that.
I applaud the author for an interesting first two, three chapters and for an somewhat original story, but that’s it. If no effort is put into the personalities and relationships then as a reader I’m just not going to find it in me to care for the characters, plot and romance. Therefore I leave Made in London at two stars.
Just lovely!☺️This is my first Stella Andrews novel, and it was FABULOUSLY HOT & STEAMY!! Easily a 4.5 Star Read!! After reading book two I might bump it to a 5! Made in London is a sexy, fun, and suspenseful Mafia Romance. It's a forbidden romance because of who Summer’s father is and how he would not want his newly found sweet innocent, virgin princess daughter to be with a man like himself, his stepson, Max! Dark, dangerous, and desirable men are just what I like!! Apparently so does our heroine Summer! Max, is the stepson to London Mafia Boss, Joey Carter!
What set this mafia apart from others is they almost seem like vigilantes! They are honorable in not harming innocent women and children. Human trafficking is something the Carters will not stand for in their territory. That situation lends itself to a thrilling introduction to Max, Charlie, and Joey “at work”! I could go on about the Carter family, including Rosemary! I could also go on about Summer’s cousin, Aunt & Uncle! But, enough about the extended families and dynamics, which I LOVE and feel like they give this book such much extra heart and soul.
I'm going to focus on the sexy and forbidden love that is Max and Summer!! The forbidden-ness of this relationship comes from Joey, the Boss saying it can't happen! They are not in anyway blood-related, and they had never met until that first night in the club as adults! So nothing taboo!!
If incestuous taboo is your kinky kind of read, then give The Wild by K. Webster a try! I haven't read it, nor do I believe I am brave enough to read it!haha
Back to Max and Summer! Their eyes locked they met it was glorious fireworks and all the magic that comes with lusty love at first sight! I love Mafia Insta Romance! *happy dance* These two must come to terms with all the hot as hell sexy tension building between them! They could start fires! Max who is the one night stand kind of man not only has to figure his feelings out for Summer but decide if they are thick enough to break his family apart and go to War!! I completely LOVED this book and I cannot wait to jump into more of Stella’s book! I am thrilled about the next book, which will cover my second favorite couple!!
Summer lost her whole immediate family in a car wreck, and as she's going through important papers, she learns that the only father that she's known, isn't her real father at all, and that her birth father is in London. So since she's going there to stay with her aunt for a while, she decides go in search of him. Her aunt gives up the information quickly, and it gets easier from there, as the first night out with her cousin, she's rescued by a sexy man named Maxwell, and his brother Charlie, who end up being her stepbrothers. So she tells them why she's in London, and they call her father, who rushes to the club. And this starts her life in a new direction. See, her father is kind of big in a more organized crime way, and she's also very attracted to Maxwell, and he feels the same. Will they be able to stay away from each other? Well, that insane chemistry isn't going to be denied, and it doesn't take long before they throw caution to the wind, though Maxwell could very well be putting his life in danger, since he was warned to stay away from her. And while they are lighting things on fire during sexy times, it's more than that, since they have caught feelings as well. But when I said her new family is in the crime world? It puts her & her cousin in the crossfire of serious situation, which was a twist that I kind of saw coming, and yet didn't at the same time. I know that doesn't make sense, but nonetheless, I dropped the loud f-bombs anyway. If you want to know how it all pans out, you'll have to check it out for yourselves. As for me, I NEED Charlie's story, because I'm so pissed at him at the moment, so yeah, need to see if he can redeem himself. Anyway, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Made in London to ALL!
All it took was one tragic accident for Summer to lose her whole life, literally. She lost her mother, her father and little sister when another driver plowed into their car, killing them and taking them from her forever. She lost her identity when after the funeral she was going through papers and found her father wasn’t her biological father. She is setting off on a mission to find where she belongs and see if there is room for her in a new family.
Maxwell is the perfect son, well technically stepson, though Joseph has been the only father he’s ever known for the most part. He does whatever his father asks of him and does it well. But the night he meets Summer, then finds out she is his stepsister, he finally realizes he may not be able to meet his stepfathers demands where she’s concerned.
Summer finds a whole new life in a family that, on the surface, looks less than desirable. But underneath she finds a fun, loving family that welcomes her with open arms. And Max is the cherry on top, what is the rule for wanting to sleep with your stepbrother? Is she willing to sacrifice her new family for these developing feelings?
Loved getting to meet these character as well as Charlie and Tracey who look like they’ll have the next story. I also thought it was quite brave of the author to tackle a subject like human trafficking and unwanted detention. I would have liked a little more depth to some of the characters, maybe seeing the why’s and how come they act or behave certain ways. But over all an enjoyable book I’ve come to expect from this author. I read an advance reader copy without expectations all opinions are my own.
I liked this read but not without some reservations. I was drawn to this book initially because of the fact that forbidden romance is one of my favorite tropes. I felt the whole "forbidden" angle really wasn't that big of a deal, considering how the story was written. So, for me, it was on the lighter side of the forbidden spectrum. I did like Summer and Max and the spark that was between them. The story offered a good amount of drama, suspense and emotional turmoil. As for my dislikes. I thought that the representation between action and words in relationship to a person that suffers depression was off. As someone familiar with depression, Summer's thoughts and deeds were often mismatched. That is just my opinion and these thoughts were formed from my own experiences. I am posting an independent, impartial review.
This little romance has a bit of everything! Emotional drama with the loss of her parents and little sister in a tragic accident, Summer’s story starts off quickly and heartfelt. While she was dealing with her sudden loss, Sumner discovered her birth father is living in London. She was still in shock that her beloved father wasn’t her birth father, she flew to London in search of her father. This turned into a stepbrother/stepsister romance with mafia/Mobster undertones. Their relationship heated up quickly as Maxwell planned to be with Summer despite his father’s threats. Well written, full of graphic steam, with easy to follow dialogue. An added bonus with the budding relationship with Summer’s cousin Tracey and Maxwell’s brother Charlie.

Our heroine loses her foster family in a car crash and sets out to find her birth family, but she may find more that she bargained for.
This is a interesting story based around a forbidden relationship and a mafia background. While the plot is easy to follow, it could use a little more development and background to help draw the reader into the story. The same goes for the characters. The interactions and chemistry between them was good, but the characters themselves lacked depth and seemed to act contrary to the way they are portrayed. Parts of the story seemed contrived to move the plot along rather than letting things develop naturally.
Overall, the story was enjoyable, but I felt it could have been much better.

A really well written storyline, gripping, full of suspense with love and instant lust and also off the charts chemistry between Summer and Max, two great characters! I loved the story from the start well done Stella. Only downside was the story was a little bit rushed at the end. Summer is full of anger with what fate has handed her! Who is this family she never knew she had? Will leaving the US and going to London to find her father be her best decision? Does Maxwell want this life if anything happens to his father? Summer is totally off limits for Max, no way will his stepfather allow any love interest in Summer, but will Max tear her new loving family apart? I do highly recommend this great read to all. I literally could not put this book down. Poor Summer has lost everything. Her family is gone and she takes a flight to London to see her Aunt and search for her biological father. Before she finds him she finds the man of her dreams. Circumstances make it hard for Summer and Maxwell to be together and they have a lot of trials and tribulations before they can have a happily ever after. This book has forbidden romance, suspense, and more importantly the happily ever after. Loved every moment.
