Vacationing at the guest cottage on the property of his brother, Gavin, Nigel Cleaver discovers the bodies of Gavin's wife, Annabel, and her half-sister, Caroline. By the author of Sleep of the Unjust.
This is an audio book I got from the library. It’s a thriller murder story but not a very good one. It is too exactly written with way too much detail which is irrelevant. It is so exact as to be bordering on pedantic. I don’t care which coat you decided to wear unless, at least occasionally, it actually matters. There were so many pointless inclusions I could not work out of the author was just flowery or was trying to feed us so many red herrings we got heavy metal poisoning.
What the story is about is irrelevant because it’s not worth reading – not unless it is the only English book you can find n a dodgy backpackers and it’s been raining for three days already and the scrabble set is missing all the E’s.
