It’s been awhile since I read a Renee book and I’m back with this series I missed it.. I think I skipped the last book.

But Adrian has his mind on revenge from what happened to his little sister he knows the man has a “soft spot” for his daughter so he finds her and stalks her learning her ins and outs he finds out that Kat isn’t like he thought she would be. She’s wild loves to flirt and into some role playing. His plans go out the window when he saves her but the sparks fly since she’s drugged he doesn’t wanna be that person so he just gets a taste and ties her up taking pictures of her in poses to send to her father that he kidnapped his daughter.

The banter between the two was funny she loved egging him on calling him master, daddy just to see if he break he does but he hates those names.. and the more he spends with her the more he feels guilty.

The das is a piece of shit…. Hands down… glad he got what he deserved I wish he was dead lol but yeah know. We see the next couple snd I might skip.. the H is a huge manwhore.. I’m sorry for Adrian’s sister who is going though stuff and is his love interest.

I haven't written reviews for the last three in this series; The Soldier, The Hacker, The Bookie - so I'll do a generic one for those three and this one.

They are all pretty much the same. Bratva Brothers living in Chicago in a place aptly named "The Kremlin", where the residents are all or mostly of Russian descent.
Each member of the Brotherhood has a particular skill set - hence his name in the group, and finds his love, sometimes much easier than others. Each has a varying degree of sexual kinkiness that they can freely explore with their partner and the Brothers are always there for each other.

I have enjoyed them all, but most especially the First - The Director and the Third - The Enforcer.

I enjoy Renee Rose as a writer and these are recommended and have been enjoyed.

Review:

This book is a mafia romance, but I wouldn’t call it dark. Yes, Adrian kidnaps Kateryna, but for all dominant bad guy vibe he had going on, he never was mean to her. I won’t try to find justification for the kidnapping thing because it’s a mafia book and it’s totally pointless, if you are not comfortable with it, just read something else. Kat’s behavior is what surprised me the most here, we usually get the shy naive heroine or the one who fights every step of the way. Kat was something else entirely. She seduces Adrian, she asks for what she wants, she may behave, but only because it’s something she finds arousing and this is something I had not read yet. Their story was cute and sexy. I enjoyed it a lot. So, if you like mafia books and want to read something lighter and steamy, I recommend The Cleaner.

Adrian and Kat’s first interaction sets the tone for the story and their relationship….Quirky, fun, fiery and very sexy.
They bicker and have entertaining banter.
I liked their dynamic, it was different for a captive, mafia romance.
The story wasn’t as dark or gritty as I expected.
A lot of the story is Kat and Adrian alone together. A lot of one on one interactions.
She’s his captive but, she’s very attracted to him and she starts to see things in him that she likes.
They have great chemistry. Kat is a kinky girl who has never really had someone into the same games, role play and kinks as her. She introduces Adrian and he finds that he quite likes it. I liked that she was open and unashamed of her sexuality, I liked that Adrian had no reservations or judgment’s about it/her.

The Bratva/mafia aspect is much smaller in the story than I expected.
It’s an erotic romance with plenty of emotions. The attraction is immediate and they are together 24/7 immediately so it’s a bit insta-lust, etc. For the high intensity story that worked fine for me.
The characters have emotional baggage that is lightly explored and plays a part in the plot and their feelings for each other.
I liked both characters, I enjoyed their dynamic and it was a fun and super hot story.
I was hoping for a bit more of mafia related scenes and a bit more dark and gritty. Those were things I assumed about the book, it was my first book by the author, so now I have a better grasp of what to expect. I’ll definitely read another book by the author, I enjoyed the fun, light relationship between a Bratva kidnapper and his hostage. It was very unique.

The Cleaner should be called Beautiful Ambivalence. Adrian Turgenev needs to kidnap and pretend to defile Kateryna Povala. He seeks retribution for her father’s sex trafficking that resulted in the kidnapping and rapes of his own little sister. He’ll kidnap Leon Poval’s daughter and use her as bait to kill him.

“Kat” pegs Adrian as a cinnamon roll almost immediately. Whether, he’s just rescued her from being gang-raped at a rave, playing dom to her sub, or carrying out his nefarious revenge plot, she can’t see the worst in him when he is making her feel so seen and alive. Having lost her mother, receiving next to no attention from her father, and having no friendships whatsoever, it’s no wonder the poor girl latches on to the first man who shows her kindness and vulnerability.

Kat and Adrian demonstrate a very weird and kinky captive/captor dynamic that is fun and sexy to witness. Renee Rose does a sweet job combining forbidden and true love, as usual. This a welcome and fitting continuation of the Chicago Bratva series!

This is called a dark romance but I'd call it a "light" dark romance. She tried to pick him up twice at the party they were at. He rescues her when 3 guys try to rape her at the party. She goes home with him, they fool around.

The next morning, he doesn't let her leave.

This is a steamy, Bratva romance.
Some triggers here, kidnapping, trafficking, drugs, tied to a bed, attempted forced sex by a group, violence.
Probably a few others too tbh.

The storyline was decent, very good characters too, I felt it was all put together a little bit easy.
It felt almost like watching amateur dramatics ( not quite up to what you expected for the content)

I did enjoy it though, pretty quick read around 4 hrs, and as I said it did hold my attention, just felt something was missing, tension was one of them.

I really liked the storyline in this book but I had a few dislikes when it came to Kateryna’s character. I mean it’s explained as daddy issues but idk. I guess I don’t get her? It was almost like this couple’s sex life which is explained as kinky isn’t really kinky… I don’t want to go in too much details about what I didn’t like because I don’t want to come off as bashing or anything. But I did like the storyline and I did like the HEA. It had a lot of potential. I wish there was more development in the main characters relationship. I don’t know it’s hard to explain. There’s just some emotional/feelings missing for me.

ADRIAN AND KAT

The story is the 7th in the Chicago Bratva series and could read as a stand-alone. The story is an excellent addition to the series and has Adrian Turgenev, a Cleaner for the Chicago-based Bratva. He plans to seek revenge against Leon Poval for what he did to his sister, Nadia. But sometimes, the cost of revenge isn't as sweet as when thought out.

Kateryna 'Kat' Poval lives in Liverpool, where she is a student at the university. She was sent, by her father, to a boarding school when she was thirteen and has stayed in England. There is no love lost between Kat and her father, who she believes killed her mother.

The story's plot will have Adrian going rogue from the Chicago Bratva by following leads on Poval's daughter, Kateryna, who lives in Liverpool. He plans to follow her, take her, and then do precisely what Pavol did to Nadia, place her on a cargo ship and transport her to the USA. His plans don't quite go as he hopes, and the one thing he never expected was to get to know Kat as a person and not just a hostage. Adrian is so caught up in his plot for revenge, even if it costs him his own life in the process, that he ignores Ravil and the others in the brotherhood. He doesn't want to risk anyone else while he seeks justice.

The chemistry between Adrian and Kat is explosive. What was supposed to be a means for revenge becomes two people who need each other. Kat is innocent of her father's crimes, and after Adrian is in deep, he realizes it isn't fair to treat her as Nadia was treated. It would be one thing to kill Pavol, but another to use Kat. It doesn't take much to learn that Kat doesn't have any strong feelings for her father; if anything, she detests him and knows that he did something to her mother.

I will admit that I liked Adrian and Kat together, and I think they are suitable for each other, but I think that Kat will help Nadia heal from her ordeal in time. Sometimes good can come out of evil, and with Kateryna in the lives of Adrian and Nadia, they have a new future.

Another delicious bratva from the tintillating mind of Renee Rose. Like always, Renee gives us lots of drama, lots of twists, an intense chemistry, and SO MUCH spice! It’s fast paced, loads of fun, and yummy.

The Cleaner is the story of Adrian and Kat, and from the get go these two are so fiery. Adrian is on a quest for revenge, a path that brings him to Kat, and one thing leads to another, and we have a great story set up. So much chemistry, SO much fun banter. And lots of heat. I liked how this story is decidedly intimate- as a captive-captor trope, these two spend most of the book alone together, and despite the captive angle the story isn’t super dark. And, given their plot approach, there is less bratva business than in the past, but we get everything I come to this series for- intensity, insane chemistry, AND SO MUCH STEAM. This is super lusty- in the best way. These two have some kinks to explore, and while at times I found Kat a bit bratty, I loved how open she is in embracing her desires, and how she brings Adrian into her needs.

Another great visit to this erotically deliciously hot Bratva world. The perfect combination of drama and sexy fun.

The Cleaner has one crazy plot, involving kidnapping, revenge, certain kinks, and more. You’ll either roll with it, or it’ll drive you bonkers if you start to analyze it. I rolled with The Cleaner for the most part. Adrian is definitely misguided in his refusal to work with the rest of his bratva crew, and Kat responds a bit too easily to his dominance (which, considering that wasn’t something he’d done much of before, became a skillset of Adrian’s remarkably quickly).

So what did work? The intense connection between these two people. Adrian is hell-bent on revenge for his sister’s abuse, and Kat’s seemingly carefree nature masks pain that is only slowly revealed to the reader. Seeing each of them come to realize what they can give to the other is the best part of The Cleaner.

This book reads like a cabin romance, as there’s a laser focus on Kat and Adrian. I missed seeing more of the rest of the bratva crew, so I hope Rose brings them back in greater detail in the next book. But this is another solid and unusual entry in the wonderful Chicago Bratva series.

Adrian was all set to with his plan to draw Poval out. Take his daughter Kateryna. Funny thing is she is the one drawing him out. Her laugh and kink makes it hard for him to focus on his plan. Kat wants nothing to do with her father. He cared nothing for her. She loves her life, fun and free. When a hot and handsome Russian comes into her life, things heat up. He is the man of her dreams or is he? I love these guys. Each has his own baggage but they always find that one strong woman that completes them. Kat is fun and full of energy. She is also smart and strong. Her father is scum and when she finds out about him, she knew she was right all along. Adrian had good intentions but Kat showed him that you should follow the heart. He is a sweetheart. He may be the Cleaner but he is a teddy bear. I loved this story. Plus we learn how Nadia is doing. I am looking forward to Player. Flynn is going to add a new twist.

Adrian is going to get his revenge for what happened to his sister by taking the daughter of the man responsible. What he encounters when he sees Kat was something he didn't expect. This story was another page turner by Renee Rose and I loved every word of it. The journey that Adrian and Kat take in their relationship was one that had me hooked and I was cheering for them every step of the way. I loved the way that she didn't just roll over and play the victim and I loved how much he grew to love her. But will he walk away in the end or will he fight for her? Such a good book and probably my favorite at the moment!

Renee Rose’s The Cleaner brings us Kat and Adrian’s story and it’s all sorts of naughty and nice in the ways I’ve come to expect from Ms. Rose. The premise of the story is great—Adrian is looking to get revenge for what happened to his sister Nadia—and then things take a delicious twist and we go from enemies to spanky-good lovers with all the Os we come to love in this Dark Bratva series. While I’m generally not a fan of brats, I have to admit that I found Kat entertaining, and Adrian coming into his own role worked really well. The drama and action are high and since this IS a series, it was so good to visit with old friends at The Kremlin.

This is another excellent entry for this terrific series. I truly enjoyed Adrian and Kat's story. Their chemistry was incendiary but underneath that was a fine layer of sweetness. While their relationship gets off to a very complicated start, it doesn't take long before it is clear that these two were totally meant to be and made for each other. Emotions and heart are blended with drama, action, tension, danger and heat to create a potent mixture that reads smoothly and was too seductive to resist. I've already got "grabby hands" for book 8!! Lol This is my candid review that I am posting of my own accord.

Dark Bratva Romance

Oh I just love Bratva Romances by Renee Rose 🌹, she does such a great job with them. So far I have read each of her Bratva Stories starting with the in The Black Light Roulette book and all of the other ones after. I love them because each of them has really good characters and lots of 🔥 and there is action too. Of course there is always a great HEA too. I really recommend this book and the series as a whole.

Adrian and Kat’s story was really good! I have loved all the books in this series so far can’t wait for the next book the player to come out. Adrain met Kat when he was seeking revenge for what happened to his sister Nadia. He took her hostage to get her dad out of hiding so he could kill him for what he did to his sister but once he took her he fell in love with her and didn’t want to let her go.

Wow each book in this series just gets better and better!!! Adrian and Kat are just a perfect fit. They meet when Adrian plans to use her to gain revenge against her father. What happens is not what anyone expects. LOVE this couple and the sweet sweet Adrian. Seeing how Adrian matures as he falls in love is wonderful. Adrian and the Chicago Bratva is just what Kat needs. Amazing addition to this series!

After I read this, I tried to decide who changed more and who had more Stockholm syndrome qualities/effects after this endeavor. I think it was pretty much equal in my opinion. Kat's dad was a vile person right to the end. The teaser for the next book sounds very intriguing. Another hit for the series.

Adrian’s and Kat’s story starts out very sexy and cold. As Adrian realizes he’s made a huge mistake with his great plan for revenge the whole feeling of their story changes. How these two work through their differences to find their HEA makes for a wonderful read! Great next instalment to this series.

Adrian has kidnapped Kateryna in an attempt to draw out her father out of hiding so he can kill him. He’s the man responsible for sex-trafficking his sister and he wants his vengeance for the abuse and assaults she was forced to endure before he managed to rescue her. What he doesn’t realise is that Kat hates her father almost as much as he does.

I loved how this author got across just how conflicted Adrian was about just how far he’d gone in his quest for revenge. He’d been so focused on his end goal he didn’t stop to consider Kat was an innocent victim in his scheme. As he gets to know Kat and sees how full of life she is, he starts to see things differently. She is definitely no one’s victim and it’s not long before they’re burning up the sheets together. The development of the relationship between Adrian and Kat moves at warp speed as they evolve from kidnapper and hostage to friends and lovers to accomplices in bringing her father down. I can’t wait to read Nadia’s story next. If anyone deserves love, it’s her.

Dual narration for this audiobook was provided by Benjamin Sands and Kingsley Rose, both of them new to me narrators and while I felt Benjamin was perhaps a little weak when voicing the female parts, I loved his Russian accent when it came to Adrian. I also appreciated that he took the time to give the voice of every Russian character its own distinctive nuance. For me these small details are the difference between a good narrator and a great one.

Another wonderful Bratva read by this splendid author…
This was another simply wonderful read by this author that writes some of the most wonderful Bratva books I have read, the characters are always so well written and the fact that the Bratva men and women and the men that work alongside them are shown as being strong and loyal family.
When Kateryna had first been taken by Adrian, he had not seen it as anything more than trying to get back at the monster that had hurt his beloved sister Nadia who was still fighting back to a normal life, fortunately his Bratva family had all come together to help him with her recouperation and strength of safety she felt in their company of his Pakhaan and brothers who looked after her safety.
The determination to find retribution for his sisters suffering he could never have expected his captive to have wanted to help him with, it seemed she knew how evil her father Poval could be, believing he had something to do with her mother disappearing when she had only been a young girl. As time passed and she saw some of the things her father was capable of even though he hid as much as possible she believed her was the monster Adrian had described as.
As the Captive and Captor spend more time together and he sets his plan in motion by sending Poval photographs of his daughter shown as a captive, demanding him turning himself over to save her life it soon is apparent he’s more of a lowlife than even they initially believed.
I will not spoil the story of the end of this plan and the outcome so will not say anymore, I do however guarantee that like myself you will find this book impossible to put down once you begin reading until you know the final outcome.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
