Shortened blurb: Struggling to pay rent, covered in tattoos, and not afraid to speak her mind, Jordan lives day by day. Storming out of a restaurant after a disastrous date she crashes into the rich and handsome Charlie Abbot. The two of them end up having a night that leaves them more than satisfied. But, when Jordan figures out Charlie is actually her best friend Ashley's off-limits brother, things get complicated.

I’m not saying drop your TBR to read this but…drop your TBR. This is a MUST read, no joke. I don’t even know where to begin but I’m gonna try.

This was written was so damn well done. It read so smoothly and the pacing was perfect!

I loved the characters so much. Jordan is half Thai, has tattoos, and is so resilient. She is an amazing character all around. Charlie is our confident playboy who never expects to fall hard for any woman let alone his sister’s best friend.

The spice was spectacular. No question about it. Some scenes were short & others were medium length but there was A LOT. *there is a bonus scene at the end (MFF threesome) that might not be everyone’s cup of tea*

The Pleasure List is an actual list of 100 sexual acts that is included at the end of the book. Do with that what you will…

I’m not kidding when I say drop you tbr. 100% recommend!

Not bad, very light read and lots of (tame) spice. I didn’t actually feel like there was a lot of dialogue with the main characters to fall in love just constant fxcking and I also think she was a terrible friend to Ashley but meh I wasn’t reading it for the conversations 🫶

Thank you #BookTok for this great recommendation! This book follows Jordan Sawyer, a girl who's struggling to pay rent and on a disastrous date, who bumps into the super hot, insatiable, rich, Charlie Abbott. They hook up and Jordan is very surprised when she finds out that Charlie is her best friend's brother who is absolutely off-limits. They had a spark they can't deny and decide to sneak around secretly after creating a Pleasure List of 100 things they want to do because their chemistry is off the charts. They have one condition: no one catches feelings or it's over. Will their secrets get revealed? Will the Abbott's finally push Jordan away because of her status? And most importantly, will Jordan or Charlie catch feelings?

I adored this book. Jordan is a very relatable character and I found myself actually laughing out loud at some of her thoughts. Charlie is the hottie we all hope to read about in books and boy does he live up to the mark. The storyline was simple enough but well-supported while also not being as predictable as I would've thought. I really liked the supporting characters, like Ash. And I found the book very entertaining and I was super pleased with the addition of the actual Pleasure List at the back along with that bonus scene.

The spice was off the charts in this one! The idea of the list is already great so reading about them completing certain things on the list (that you don't usually read about in other smutty books) really gave this book a level of uniqueness that can't be found elsewhere. Jordan and Charlie had an insane amount of chemistry and you could feel the fireworks go off. Emma Mallory did a great job with not being repetitive and I was constantly looking forward to what I was going to read next and what was going to be the next thing they checked off their list. Also - can I just say that that bonus scene was the epitome of steamy?

If you're looking for a HEA, off-limits, dominant business man, steamy romance, this book is for you. I actually found myself wishing there was a second book because I enjoyed this book so much. Take my word (and BookTok's) and add this to your TBR and actually read it.

This book was definitely a five star read for me, the writing of the author starting from the characters, displaying the emotions and of course the spice literally everything was on point. I couldn't get Charlie and Jordan out of my head for the whole day after completing the book. Not to forget the plot and idea of the book, the name itself 'THE PLEASURE LIST' is so different and creative from all the cliches I've read. The idea was new and refreshing to me and I enjoyed reading it so much. Best friend's brother is one of my favorite tropes which just made the book even more fun.

Jordan is a badass and I just love it when the fmc is a strong and an independent woman, who believes in herself and is confident with her body. Trust me when I say this, Jordan will want you to put your big girl pants on and just go get anything. The love interest, Charlie has that charismatic and sexy aura surrounding him which is honestly so fun to read. Both the characters have flaws of their own but the way the author has portrayed the characters so well will have you loving them deeply. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

If anyone needs a sign to sway them to read this or scroll? This is it. Read it. First of all, discreet cover. You can read it on the train, and no one will know. Or you can announce it from the rooftops because it deserves to be a book that’s spread and shared.

Not only is there a lifetime of spice in this book, but there's also a world of relatability—with Jordan especially. Her sass and real-world judgment received, alongside her monetary issues, made her someone I wanted to know. And thankfully, I was able to be her friend as I read the book. Now having parted, I’ll be going back to walk with her again and again.

Charlie is…the dream. But don’t tell my husband I just said that. He’s a spoiled man who, along the way, learns to love. And in all honesty? About 99% of us have that complex where we hope for a partner to change their ways for us. And 99% of the time…it doesn’t work out as we hope. But that 1%? That 1% is for the Jordans and the Charlies of the world. And I loved that for them. I loved this book.

I had the honor of being an ARC reader for this story and it truly has gone through a transformation since the original online version.

At heart, it is a story filled with a lot of lust, a good amount of cliches, and a steamy romance. Maybe one has seen that countless times before, but the way the author writes these characters is what makes is special from the other stories.

We have a strong, determined, and confident main character who not only has pride in her heritage and in herself, but in her capabilities. But she is not overly cocky or acts like she is better than anyone else. Then we have her love interest, who is overconfident and a womanizer, but acknowledges it and then goes to actively change it. He is not this perfect and unrealistic Prince Charming. And their relationship development feels real, from just purely physical to something realer and more emotional.

It really is a story that will surprise you with how much depth it can actually convey. Don't let the cover or the blurb fool you.

For all the Dutchies:
Het boek van Emma Mallory is er een om bij weg te zwijmelen. Je wordt meteen meegezogen in het verhaal waarna het onmogelijk is om het boek nog aan de kant te leggen. Het heeft de juiste hoeveelheid spice, humor en drama, en heeft daarbij ijzersterke hoofdpersonages.
Kortom: dit boek móét je gelezen hebben!

pure pleasure is actually what you will get from reading this novel. from beginning to end, the author kept it sweet & made you want more after each chapter. the protagonist, jordan, was portrayed as this independent woman who could hold her own, but still get what she wants. it was good to see how that came into play when she was around her love interest, charlie. she didn’t change but she developed & became more accepting, open. i was able to root for and understand her. as for charlie, he can swoon you with just his words and probably his smile, somehow the author made me end up liking his character (even after a certain mishap). there were highs and lows between charlie and jordan, MOSTLY highs and ecstasy. the scenes between them were wholesome or hot, no in between! i had SO many emotions reading every word though, love, hate, happiness, PLEASURE. the author managed to make the read light and very thrilling!

Dnf at page 243 (67%), I was originally going to finish it but it’s just so annoying and repetitive. The amount of times I read ‘He/she licked their bottom lip’ ‘He/she sucked their bottom lip’ made me wanna bleach my brain and forget that this book exists. The mmc was blond, spoiled, rich (in a bad way), the fmc was fucking annoying as shit, ‘different’, and apparently ‘bad ass’ (in the worst way possible I swear).

It was written poorly I’ve read fanfics by 15 y/o’s better than this (no offense), it was so repetitive, the fmc was an open book, apparently everyone knew that she was doing wrong or upset or wtv. It put me in such a horrible slump which is why I’m dnfing it from the start.

FOUR STAR because the author didn’t have a THREESOME SCENE when specially had it on the list AND it was the FIRST on the list out of the 100!!!!! Pissed beyond. But the smut scenes are AMAZING it would’ve been 10x more amazing if I had my THREESOME SCENE!!!!

i totally forgot that i read this book.

no but truly i remember how much i loved it!! it was the second book ive read, after everyone’s first read; it ends with us, of course. but i loved it so much.

ill be honest to say that i don’t remember that much about it but what i do remember is that the reason i loved this book was because it was so different from others, in a very positive way.

it wasn’t such a cheesy romance book that ends the way every book ends and i adored it!
