I'm losing myself in the nanoverse... Am I even human anymore? So many connections... so many people... But where am I? The enemy is still out there, somewhere in the nanoverse, trying to absorb humanity into his new, digital, world. Whole worlds, after the design of any host who has been assimilated into the nanoverse, constructed from the memories of those who have been integrated. There is an appeal to it all... Do I even want to destroy it, anymore? Have I been fighting on the wrong side of this war from the start?
Theophilus Monroe is a fantasy author with a knack for real-life characters whose supernatural experiences speak to the pangs of ordinary life. After earning his Ph.D. in Theology, he decided that academic treatises that no one will read (beyond other academics) was a dull way to spend his life. So, he began using his background in religious studies to create new worlds and forms of magic-informed by religious myths, ancient and modern-that would intrigue readers, inspire imaginations, and speak to real-world problems in fantastical ways.
Goodness! What a tense book! After Flat is fully immersed into the nonverse, he sets about implementing his plan but he needs to eliminate Brian and the resistance to succeed but Brian continues to elude him. At the same time, Brian and the resistance are constantly one step behind Flat. This series is so thrilling, the plot incredibly well defined and a total page turner! The scheming of Flat puts any villian to shame, all gain complete control of the world through nanotech. Even though it's pure fiction, I can't help shuddering, the what if it can actually became reality. Theo described magnificently that precise scenario and I pray, if something like this ever came to pass, that a Brian, somewhere, would put out this threat! That's how real this book and series is. Marvelous, exciting and frightening all at the same time!
Wow. Flat is crazy and how he keeps getting 'away' from the resistance is crazy. Goff is doing all he can to catch and deactivate him, but its harder than it looks. This is book 3 and it's getting REAL fast. We see some crazy things go down in this one and who knows what book 4 is going to bring, but whatever it is, it's going to take all that Goff and the resistance has to take Flat down for GOOD.
Theophilus has become one of my favorite authors. He writes in so many genres and has so many different items that go in so many directions. I have no idea how he keeps them all straight. You need to check this series out and all of his others.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We have a Sci-Fi book about Nanobats that has been injected into everyone. This is the 3rd book in the series and I will say that Theophilus Manore describes everything with a lot of detail so you can just imagine in your mind exactly what it looks like. We are still following Brian Goff and the resistance who are trying to stop the Algorithm that Flat is still controlling. Will they be able to fine the firewall to try to stop Flat? Will Flat outsmart them again and bring more people into the Nanoverse? AT points it will be heart stopping, at others you will want to jump in and help.

I received Posthuman by Theophilus Monroe through StoryOrigin and am now willingly reviewing. This book is the third book in this action packed series. Brian Goff was a former soldier suffering from PTSD and is the only one who may be able to stop Flat from using nanobots from taking control of the world. Will Brian and the rest of the rebellion defeat him? This great book is available on Amazon
This is book three of the Nanoverse series and sees Brian Goff and the other members of the resistance still trying to take down Dr Archimedes Flat, who has left his human body behind and allowed himself to become part of the whole Nanoverse he helped to create. He is actively seeking other humans to populate his world and to use their nanobots to help him achieve his own aims. He knows that Brian is probably the only person that can stop his plans and he is always way ahead of the resistance and their attempts to stop him. Even the new president of the USA, President Davies, is worried that Dr Flat will manage to kill more of the population, the more powerful he becomes in the Nanoverse. All of the population has been injected with nanobots, with only Dr Flat, Brian Goff and his fellow Marine, Bonecrusher Koontz having the original version of the nanobots. It is Brian’s PTSD that allows him to control his nanobots, unlike anyone else Dr Flat has known, but he is still learning about the Nanoverse and what he can do in it, whilst Dr Flat is existing in it and multiplying! Dr Larson still leads the resistance along with his wife Eloise, and they have Father Ezra, another person unaffected by the nanobots because of his faith, and a few others. They are stuck in a lead lined safe house, to ensure Flat can’t infect their nanobots, even though the others wear an inhibitor. Brian’s young daughter is there with him as well as his possible love interest Liza, although their first and only date was ruined when Flat forcibly killed loads of people with inhibitors in the city as well as the restaurant they were both at! Brian has even started to visit the Nanoverse in his sleep, which could prove very dangerous for the res to f the world if Dr Flat could capture him and stop his ability to take him down. Dr Flat has already used his daughter against him, to try and get to Brian and stop him. Flat now goes a roundabout way to infect one of the team, leaving a trace of his firewall visible for their team to follow. Brian and Liza travel into the Nanoverse and into the scenario of the host, whose life is being lived out again according to their desires, but it is a trap and although they know it probably is, they can’t do much against it. Flat has managed to get to Susie again and taken her into a scenario of his own making, knowing Brian will have to follow. What they don’t know, is that at the same time Dr Flat has another scenario ongoing, with his duplicate being, in Washington, D.C., that will have a far greater bombshell effect on the capital and its government, than any of the resistance and those in control of the country could even have imagined. The situation has now gotten five hundred times worse and Brian and the rest of the resistance will face an uphill battle just to survive the next steps, never mind be capable of taking down Dr Flat and the Nanoverse. This is a quick read that shows examples of what some people would waste their second chance at life on, whilst others relive important milestones in their life, to see if they made a different choice at that moment, how their lives would have turned out. Brian needs to experiment more to see what he is truly capable of, but also to allow himself to lose control and not worry about things he cannot change. There is a lot of pressure on his shoulders to stop Dr Flat, but only if he allows it to affect him! Some deep stuff here. They have walked into a trap and been used by Flat and it seems for every step they take, they are at least two steps behind Flat and they may never stop him. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
I have been waiting for this book since turning the last page in the previous one, and…. I’ve just turned the last page on this 😉… it’s my fault, really, nobody forced me to read through the night into the next day… I did it all by myself… and I’m not regretting in the least 😊 Following Brian into the nanoverse fighting along him both to stop Dr. Flat and against to loss his humanity by become fully immersed into the nanoverse is in hindsight a much better use of nighttime, and fight the eerie realistic dystopian future Monroe postulates in this series.
“Posthuman” is the third instalment in Theophilus Monroe’s “Nanoverse” brand-new dystopian/sci-fi series, which very successfully integrates very pressing modern-day issues with futuristic dystopian tropes into a story that is both, highly entertaining and easy to read while being eerie accurate in shining a light into our modern world and some of the dangers we might encounter in our ever-faster-going race for technological prowess. Don’t make any mistakes, this is first and foremost an entertaining tale, which mixes tropes from ‘Minority Report’, ‘Surrogates’ and ‘Matrix” to a 100%-original story. Monroe is a real master when it comes to organically blending modern urban fantasy, eternal tropes, mythology, religious tropes, while easily blurring boundaries between reality and legend and transform them into a veritable smørrebrød of action, yes ‘smørrebrød’ no other word would do, Monroe offers a multitude to choose from and let the decision to you, although…. Usually you will end up, having to have it all 😉 with the added bonus of “non-indigestion guaranteed”.
When it comes to Monroe, I have already learnt to always expect the unexpected, puzzling twists, wonderful characters, and mind-blowing descriptions, garnished with a good dose of magic some sprinkles of mythical lore and some paranormal romance on the side, and served with very well-crafted, with an accurate world building, interesting characters, captivating writing style and carefully editing. And still…. he gets me every single time, no matter whatever high my expectations are, Monroe manages to meet them with miles to spare. As usually with Monroe, the unexpected comes hand in hand with high-quality storytelling, perfect crafted-world, deep, interesting, and captivating characters, full entertainment, witty situations, a pinch of irreverence and in this particular case an extra-portion of fun bordering on occasion on the whimsical.
As always, let me give you some prompts to enjoy the book at it fullest – yes, I know you are all already advanced fans, but allow me, nevertheless, because we tend to forget it, don’t we 😊 - you can schedule to read the book at any given time, but… should you schedule an evening lecture take some measures: re-schedule that job/zoom meeting in the morning, should you make it, you will not look your best (some aftereffect of the Nanoverse can be expected 😉). I know, I know, sleep is overrated but all-nighters still left signs… once you begin the book, you will be unable to put it down, is a proven fact… and beware of spontaneous burst of shocked expressions, unexpected expletives, and even some nervous heartly laughs… it could happen… it will…. often… respect your sleepy neighbours (the ones still living under some rock, but despair not, they eventually will come out to fall under Monroe’s spell 😉).
Posthuman is the third book in the Nanoverse series by Theophilus Monroe. Posthuman is a fast-paced read that will draw you in from the very beginning with all its twists and turns. The action just keeps coming and never lets up from beginning to end leaving you wanting more and more as the story reveals itself page after page.
Nanoverse is a very interesting and intriguing story that will keep you entertained throughout and on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. The world-building is just so stunning and spell-binding.
The descriptions are so intense and vivid that I have no problem none what so ever trying to picture it all in my head. Yeah, well I do have one little problem with the descriptions and that is I do not believe that I am doing them justice and I don’t believe I ever could. This is one series that I would sorely love to see on the big screen.
The more I read from this world the more I want to read. The more I read the more of The Matrix I see in it. Nanoverse is a world that was created inside the nanonetwork. A place where humans can go and live out their lives any way they want forever and ever. The nanoworld is a very addictive one.
Dr. Archimedes Flat created a world inside the nanonetwork and now he is recruiting as many people as he can to live inside this world with him. Dr. Flat has left his body behind in the real world and can never return to it.
Brian Goff is a former soldier, suffering from PTSD, keeps entering the nanoworld to try and stop Dr. Flat as he is probably the only one who can. Dr. Flat knows this and is doing everything possible to keep Brian from stopping him.
Brian and the resistance are working hard day and night so they can find a way to save the world from Dr. Flat. But unfortunately so far Dr. Flat is staying one step ahead of them.
Brian has been trying his best to keep his little girl from entering the nanonetwork. He doesn’t want Dr. Flat to be able to use his little girl against him. Brian believes that he has been doing a great job of keeping her hidden from Dr. Flat until she disappears in the nanonetwork. Can Brian find his little girl and get her out before it is too late? Can he stop Dr. Flat from taking over the world?
As with the first two books Algorithm and Nanoswarm I highly recommend Posthuman as well. Grab your copy of this awesome book, Posthuman today for a spell-binding adventure!
Another great book in this series, but boy is this whole situation getting tense now.
In this alternative futuristic world, Brian Goff is one of a few humans able to fight back against the nanobots and nanoverse created by Archimedes Flat, whose scheming plans intend to change the world as they know it! Nanobots already have changed so much - there's no illness anymore, competitive sport is more or less obsolete, humans can travel anywhere within the nanoverse as long as their memories can take them there, they can change situations they were once in to see if the outcome could be different. Sounds great right?!
Not so much, when free will is affected and it soon will be if Flat gets his own way! Brian, Larson, Liza and Koontz have a daunting task ahead of them, but Flat always seems to be one, two or even three steps ahead and they can never predict his next move!
When Flat takes Brian's daughter into the nanoverse, leaving her human body in a state of stasis, Brian has a race against time to get her back before he loses her for good! But what is Flat's real reason behind this abduction? What does he really want from Brian? And the ultimate question...can he be stopped before it's too late?!
This was a great, quick read which totally sucked me in! This new world is amazing, described so clearly that you can picture being there in their weird nanoverse! Brian is a great main character - you can tell how desperate he is to make everything better for his daughter to grow up in, even if at times he questions the way he is raising her. I even love the evilness of Archimedes Flat - his ideas for the nanobots and nanoverse are scientifically brilliant, even if his end plan is totally narcissistic!
I received a copy of this book from the author, but this review is all my own!
Let me say that I think that Theophilus Monroe my be one of the most gifted and talented writers in the field of paranormal and sci-fi and anything else her may which to set his hand too. This particular series is deemed a A Dystopian Sci-Fi Technothriller and Posthuman is the third novel in the Nanoverse series. Posthuman is a novel about a former soldier who has suffered significant Post Traumatic Stress, and was offered an experimental option. He knew this involved nanobotes being inserted directly into his blood stream, eventually reaching the brain, being told that this may elevates his Post Traumatic episodes, why not? He had no life now – reacting sounds and sights out in the real world pulling back into the episodes of war he had fought his way through.
Now he is fighting a new war. He is losing himself in the nonoverse. He questions his humanity. He knows the enemy is still out there, somewhere in the nanoverse, trying to absorb humanity into his new, digital, world. Whole worlds, have been created after the design of any host who has been assimilated into the nanoverse, constructed from the memories of those who have been integrated. The last of humanity is at the brink. He needs to know is there a reason to appeal and fight against this new world? Does he even want to destroy it? Has he been fighting on the wrong side of this war from the beginning? I received this novel through BookSprout and this is my true and honest review.
Posthuman is the third book in this technoseries thriller and I am blown away! Theophilus Monroe is incredible diverse in his ability to weave complex, new and uniquely different worlds. From someone who follows all of his writing I find the different worlds and storylines exciting and refreshing.
This series is focused in a Dystopian Sci-Fi landscape. Our MC is a former soldier who has suffered significant injuries nearly dying and has deeply ingrained Post Traumatic Stress. Brian was experimented on and was transformed by nanotechnology. He was initially made the posterchild for the nanovax serum and it was pushed as a forefront to end disease and death.
But it was all a front to have the world take the serum so they could ultimately be controlled within the Nanoverse. But Brian due to his severe post traumatic stress had an unusual reaction to the serum making him resistant to being controlled. This gives him unique power within this new landscape. Brian is now fighting to save everything he cares about and the people he loves from being absorbed into the network of this new digital reality.
Can Brian save the day or will he give in to the allure of a world perfectly crafted to his desires? Will huminity be lost or will the Nanoverse be defeated. Step into this exciting world and find out!
The longer our hero fights the nanobots, the more he becomes part of the machine. Is this his chance to defeat them, or will he join them in the ether?
This is book three of the series. It actually does pretty well as a standalone, but you will be missing a bit of the backstory. Your call.
This is a science fiction story with a bit of cyberpunk and dystopia thrown in. The story is very well written and fairly easy to read. I say only fairly because there is a lot going on here and it occasionally takes some effort to keep things straight. Both the characters and the setting are well done with plenty of detail that brings things to life. The plot is fast paced and includes plenty of actions as well as twists and turns so there is never a dull moment. Overall, it was a very exciting read and I definitely look forward to seeing the next book.
Highly recommended

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is quite the thriller, and a plot that will keep you glued to the pages as the story unfolds. A new universe, made from Components so small, they can be injected into a human. The nanoverse, a place where all you have to do is think, or remember places you have been. Suddenly you are there, but only your thoughts, your body is still in the real world. Nanobots are the catalyst, and the creator has an adgenda, a perfectly evil plan to overthrow the world as we know it, so he can take control. Can the resistance stop it, or are they the ones who help release it? Be prepared for a long night, as once you start reading, you won’t stop til the last page
Posthuman is a very well-written and cleverly plotted dystopian sci-fi thriller. The storyline is engaging, fast-paced, action-packed, adventurous, and totally exciting. Given the length, the story was a smooth flow and didn't feel rushed. Theophilus Monroe has done a phenomenal job with world-building and character development. I'm absolutely intrigued and fascinated with all the elements in the story.
Miles Meili's narration was on point. I could easily imagine the characters and the scenes. He made Monroe's words come to life. So far, I'm really enjoying the Nanoverse series and look forward to the next instalment. I'm recommending the series to sci-fi thrillers enthusiasts.
Brian and the rest are back for more danger and action as they try to fight against the evil Doctor. Story was fun, interesting, entertaining and made me laugh a few times too. Also wanted to shake Brain too but he is so fun to watch. Glued to the end to see what was faced and what Brian would figure and and overcome this time around. And what the nanoverse would do this time around. An interesting take on the future as always. Twists and turns add to all the fun.
The resistance is working hard to find Flat in the nanoverse so they can disable him. Seneca finds the firewall Flat is using but he gets away. Then half of Flat uses Susie to lure Goff while the other half is in Washington, D.C., to cause major trouble for the government. This story has action and ends in a cliffhanger. Highly recommended,

Red pill or blue pill? This novel expands on the fundamental existentialist question from the Matrix movies - what is reality? When you can live anything you want in your mind, what is real? The author takes that questions and runs. Not only does Brian have to figure out what is real, he also has to figure out how to deal with a terrorist who literally can be anyone. Ooooh boy, what a way to stretch the imagination!
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’m really enjoying this series by Theo, it’s so different to his other series’ but with his fantastic writing style. The characters are so real and the story seems almost plausible for the future! I’m really excited for the conclusion of this series

The nanoverse let's you recreate moments in life. Brian is trying to fight against Dr. Flat, but is having second thoughts. Will Flat win? This series set in a dystopian world will really make you think, while grabbing you and holding on tight. Monroe is a master at creating spellbinding worlds and characters. Hold on for the ride. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.
He wonders if he is now even human as he fights for his way of life. He wonders if he is even human now as he is in the nanoverse trying to stop them from ruling all. He is not even sure where to find them. Where will he find them? Can he stop them? Will he gat out? See just where you are taken

Loved the third book. It was well written with good characters that sucked you into the story. The story proceeded easily and the flow was smooth. The world building was well defined and is to envision. I have enjoyed the series from start through this book and will enjoy more. I read this as an ARC and this is my honest review.
Posthuman: A Dystopian Sci-Fi Technothriller (Nanoverse Book 3), my seventeenth read from author Theophilus Monroe. Another well written & enjoyable read/listen. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Miles Meili 's narration adds to the enjoyment of this book. I look forward to my next read from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Another gripping installment - Flat is still one step ahead of Brian and the resistance.
Brian finds out that when he's sleeping he can create his own scenario in the nanoverse.... which Flat puts to his advantage and puts Brian's daughter in danger. The race is on to save her.
When it comes to Theophilus you always expect the unexpected and lots of twists. This series is getting intense and we still have more to go. What will happen in this futuristic nanobots world? Page turner…

To my dismay I didn’t notice it was book 3 in a series and was a bit confused about aspects of the book. Theophilus’ books are easy to read regardless and are worth the time
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So, book three in the series and it seems to be ramping up. I’ll have to wait for book four to find out what happens though. Talk about being one step behind! Highly recommended.
