Sometimes there is no other option than to fight. But where do we find the courage when we haven't any left?
Find Your Strength is a guide to becoming a warrior and thriving on the battlefield of life by actor, PlaySchool presenter and award-winning writer Rachael Coopes. Introducing ancient wisdom in a fun and modern way, as well as sharing some inspiring personal survival stories, this witty, wise and practical manual will help you feel stronger and more invincible than you ever thought possible.
Pleasant enough. Novel in the self-help ppersonal development idea, channelling the idea the author is a Warrior , at times reflecting on her time as a single parent, being a Warrior. Some Warriorship trumps other Warriorship. Try this example : A woman with 3 1/2 years without a full night's sleep, fulltime Intensive Carer at Home for a multi complex medical condition Husband now in Palliative at home under her care, without household help through those years from pre-Covid to now, restricted at home choosing to keep Covid out of the property by not seeking personal helpers, household, or respite care, haveng such an immuno-compromised husband. Her health has deteriorated significantly, exploring the quagmire of aged care industry for a Provider of services who can charge anything they like per hour, send a different person each time, for her to ' train ' , none of which know how to fit a ventilator nor what an iliostomy is in order to shower the man and then dress him, while he struggles to walk and breathe, talk, eat, yet they wish to remain together at home as long as possible, less risk of infection. People who felt confined for a couple of weeks during Covid, oh my mental health what'll I do at home in confinement? : beware, if you are sooking, get a perspective of your luck in life by comparison to others. This book is written with parables not that different from those self help and improvement books on shelves forever, people keep writing their own versions, and the help they give themselves are royalties from people who rely on these type of thing to feel better, temporarily or permanently changed. But if anyone can get a different take, a shortcut, a path to follow, this is nicely told through a yoga wisdom type pathway. It is quite fun from my viewpoint as the end of my interest in personal development books, thankyou my Library.
Part memoir/personal musings, part yoga philosophy, part self-help. This book was a great way to tie ancient yoga philosophy into our modern world with easy real life suggestions and offerings. It was funny and practical and informative and easy to read. Overall would recommend for someone interested in yogic philosophy or just needing some encouragement on the hard days.
