I definitely enjoyed this book more than the first one.
It is taboo (son/father), it is short and hot. This was my first son/father taboo book. I thought I wouldn't like it but I did. Somehow this felt more forbidden and more sweet than the first book.
The reason for my lower rating though is that I felt like their roles were switched. The dad felt like a son and the son felt like a father to me at least.

Also, this book contains somnophilia and dubious consent. I thought I wouldn't like this at all but I was surprised that I did (mainly because of the way the author wrote it and the ending).

Oh my, I was looking forward to this one, it has one of my favorite kinks: somnophilia.
Geordie adores his father and finds him lying in bed, dirty, neglected, miserable, he wants to help him. Luckily his father divorced his latest wife, now Geordie can return to his father.
With Geordie back home his father feels better and better. Their men’s cave is making them feel great.
They have the best time, camping, watching tv, movies, they don’t need anyone else.
Geordie understands his dad has issues, he finds him in bed restless and tossing.
He can help his dad while he’s asleep, so he does.
Let me tell you, this was didn’t disappoint, more the opposite, it was everything. The secret visits were scorching and very satisfying. Just how I like this kink. The story was captivating af, the author got me in her grip with this one, it was very focused and clearly written. This was such a deliciously intense read, for my pleasure it was too short, I couldn’t get enough of them.
In its genre a winner!

Okay, now I'm dying to know the details of His Brother's Brat! Going to have to read that one next.
This is a darn tough story to sell, and T.M. Chris does about as well as it is possible to do with Geordie's tale.

The first 95% or so of this was really good. I liked the idea of the son getting daddy off while he was sleeping but I had a feeling that dear old dad was not as oblivious as he seemed to be. Geordie was so freaking innocent and should not have had to deal with that guilt but it was written well.
However, I could not stand the Dad. He was selfish and totally not caring whether the son was taken care of at all. So when it came time to admit that both of them were into the whole *cest thing and both of them were talking it just rubbed me the wrong way.
And that ending with the other couple? Yea, that could have been left off for me.

This was sadly not up my alley.
I have a problem with the two living together constantly, no distance, no prior pining, and the MC being a complete virgin in this dynamic.
The dialogue was cringe, the coupling was off and I couldn't get into it.
For a very enthusiastic reader, this is a solid 3.5*, but it just didn't work for me.

Had cold feet about reviewing this too-taboo-for-Amazon title. I mean, what does it say about me that I loved it?
This is beautifully realized. There was just one moment I couldn't quite buy, when the protagonists transition from obsessed-but-squicked-out to Let's-go-for-it! in the space of five minutes or less.
In her defence, I'm sure Chris realized that for them to spend a realistic amount of time processing this would have dragged the story out of Sexy Dirty Romp territory into the realm of psychological realism, which isn't nearly as much fun. Duh.
I seem to remember that T.M. (or maybe it was Tanya) Chris was making noises about leaving the m/m world and possibly ceasing to publish. She's been on my top-ten list for years, so I am Delighted that titles keep appearing. Keep it up Tanya! The world would be a more boring place without your books.

too deep to be kinky erotica, too flat to be a character study. you gotta commit to one thing or the other for a story on incest to work, otherwise you just end up with romanticized manipulation, negligence, abuse and ephebophilia. since i was given a defense on dad/son incest instead of hotness, made certain by that horrendous epilogue, goodreads will now have my hyperfocused ass analyzing it:
1. the son takes the role of the father. the son believes his father's mental health, hygiene, house chores, social life, love life, etc. are his responsability. not in a possessive way, but in a "i've had to be my father's father since i was a child" way. he didn't desire his father until he realized said father was sexually frustrated, and that's very telling. the dad makes sure the son notices him sexually, by the way, going to the extent of dropping an object "out of frustation" so the son catches him hard and half-naked, and of "absently" touching himself in front of his son some times.
2. the characters are codependent and isolated. a socially isolated home is a world outside reality, where every little emotion reaches way greater proportions than they otherwise would - we've all had a taste of that with covid. the son, in special, has no friends other than a boy who's also in a incestuous relationship. maybe, the son would've never wanted something like that if he wasn't a virgin socializing almost only with his dad.
3. ever heard the phrase "rape is about power, not sex?". although there is technically no rape from the father part here, the idea still stands. with the father making clear he's not attracted to men, i can't help but think that his attraction is to dominating and maintaining the son dependent on him instead. he says he's the only one he wants his son to ever have right at their first time (and that was honestly terrifying). he let his ex put his son out of theur house, let the boy bear all the guilt, all responsabilities, didn't go easy on him sexually... he doesn't care about his son, he cares about being his son's worshiped single font of affection and orders.
4. the son is 18. and the father is too into the sex from the get go to not have had that one cooking for a while.
in conclusion, the author could've written a kinky little fantasy, but wrote all of that instead, with the makeup of a forbidden-love story. and i'm too intense to see people thinking the story is sweet and leave it at a short negative review.

There are some taboo / incest books that really delve into the guilt and moral implications of incestuous relationships and then there are books like this.
Daddy’s Little Helper is far removed from reality and mainly unabashed fun. The only part that I felt like was dealing with a serious issue, was when Geordie’s father apologized for being a lousy dad and letting his wife interfere with their relationship (an actual father / son relationship, that is).
Other than that this was fairly out there and even somewhat funny. It was at the same time extremely taboo and almost not really, because the attitudes of all the characters were so fantastical.
Two stars, it was okay.

When they made eyeI think this is the one that I wished had longer sex scenes. Still filthy hot though. I was also so excited to discover these are interconnected 'cesty stories! I adore series with interconnected characters and this is my first 'cesty series - super fun!🖤💙🖤

Definitely good for the father/son taboo story, but I really found myself comparing it to a free online story, Don't Wake Daddy, which I find to be better. It's a quick read. Hot in some places, a little dubious with consent in others. Overall, I think it checks all the boxes you want when you read this kind of story.

I couldn’t help it! The concept sucked me in. (Hah?) The premise is very titillating, with some father/son loving. There is a lot of time spent trying to justify the incest, and I kinda just wished they’d get on with it.

For such a short book, I had a surprisingly hard time liking either MC. I, of course, loved the forbidden aspect of this and I even loved the whole “sleeping” aspect. But overall, I didn’t love either Gordon or Geordie. This was just okay for me.

As taboo erotica goes, this short story was mostly ineffective. The MC's anxiety and inner monologue kind of ruined the early scenes (that were also needlessly repetitious). The rest was pretty standard, not to say abrupt and uninspired. The dirty talk was also pretty run of the mill.
