Everyone loves cherries, especially if they are from Door County, Wisconsin
Claire and her best friend Cher are once again planning the Door to Door Quilt show and the theme is Quilted Cherries. It is also the theme of their quilt challenge. Claire is doing her best without Grayson, her significant other, since she refused his proposal. A well known artist, Foster Collins, is happy to replace him, but Claire is not very receptive. Whatever could go wrong, does go wrong at the outdoor quilt show. How does it survive and what could possibly be a good ending for Claire?
Ann Hazelwood was the owner of a quilt shop for 30 years. She has always adored quilting and is a certified quilt appraiser. In addition to her cozy quilt fiction, she has written travel guides and quilting non-fiction.
Another quilt show in Door County for Claire and Cher. I just seem to have been wrapped up in their lives and the lives of the quilt club members. Just a soap opera in written word but a nice break from murder mysteries.
Being a quilter and dabbling in painting, I have enjoyed this relaxing series taking place in Door County Wisconsin. Because we spent several days in Fish Creek, WI last summer, I am familiar with the restaurants and places named in the book. So it's a relaxing fun read for me!

This is the 4th book in the series. I did seem to like this book better than the other 3. I think it was because there were several things going on that I wanted to see how or if they would be resolved (Grayson/Claire/Foster, the missing quilt, stupid Greta, Ava and her awful husband.) I read this one quite quickly because I wanted to see what was going to happen. Some things seemed to be resolved at the end of the book, but I sure hope there is a book 5 coming because I'm not ready to say good-bye to these characters. LOL
I love the setting of Door County, Wisconsin. I love the Cherry theme, since I’m very partial to cherries. I loved all the quilts, although I thought more of the story should have been about the quilts. I thought Claire was silly about Grayson. She turns down his proposal and then expects him to carry on like nothing happened. The ending was good but I was annoyed with Claire. Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for the early read.
This is the 4th, and, I believe, final book in the Door County Quilt Series. I have enjoyed all of the books which had nice characters, some romance, descriptions of wonderful Door County, Wisconsin, including shops, restaurants, the art community and scenery. Claire, the main character throughout the series, is an art quilter and painter, an "old maid" in her 50's with a love interest, and a woman of faith. I look forward to reading more books by author Ann Hazelwood.
I have read each of the books in this series and I must say I’m a bit disappointed in this one. It seemed like the entire book deals with Claire and Grayson and poof, problem solved.
I really tried. People in their 50s receiving proposals only to be ghosted by the guy when you don't give a resounding yes? After a while I got tired of some of the gamesmanship for people who should know better.
And the adventure continues. Good character development. There were a few inconsistencies. And altho Claire has little income and used her ‘dream fund’ to buy the cabin, she spends money and splurges like there’s no tomorrow. That won’t stop me from reading the 5th book. Here I go…
But I'm not sure I'll read too many more of her books. Another series by another author talks more about the actual process, and I found it more entertaining.
A happy book with drama. I wonder if there will be more in this series? Another quilt show, a storm, a break up and make up, the perfect light book to read while holiday stressed.
Pretty good story. Keeps you interested. But kind of amateurish writing. More like the writer is talking to a friend. Hardly any use of descriptive words.
Set in Door County, Wisconsin this book focuses on quilts, art and romance and poor decisions that affect the main character and her friends but all comes out in the wash- a light read.
