Niñera con beneficios

Rate this book

I almost deleted this from my Goodreads because I am EMBARRASSED that I read it. But I feel the need to review it, so here we go. I think I must have read a different book than the 4-5 star reviewers because I cannot make sense of their reviews.

Spoilers ahoy!

1) this issue isn't the author's fault. I thought maybe I'd be ok with a pandemic book. I was not. I had to skim the panicky bits because it is still too real. Nope.

2) I'm a nanny. Veronica is a shit nanny. A) you do not give an 11mo a blanket to sleep with. Or plop them in front of TV shows except in very rare circumstances. B) at no point would any decent nanny think of a BABY as A BRAT for being A BABY. my head nearly exploded. C) the way she talks to Ollie is... Very, very odd. And D) NO SELF-RESPECTING NANNY WOULD ACCEPT MONEY AFTER SLEEPING WITH HER BOSS. for the sake of Romance I can accept the plot device of falling in love with your boss(es) but STOP ACCEPTING PAY THEN.

3) the writing itself. Oof. In one scene, she used the term "sensitive parts" twice. In. One. Scene. Erk. No. And for the most part, I felt like I was just being TOLD that there was chemistry and love. I did not get a decent sense of any deeper relationship except maybe with Bryce, pax and Liam are so surface-level I almost can't remember anything about them besides their jobs. There was no heat, none of them had anything in common besides the baby. It was just porn basically and not great porn at that.

And finally 4) I felt like I was being preached at about IRAs. Retirement is super important yeah but it doesn't belong in my romance novel, not to that extent. Literally I felt like the author was lecturing me via pax and Veronica. So unnecessary.

I dragged myself through to the end but it was... So bad. It had such potential but nooooo go.

Oh the "terrible, wonderful, filthy things" these four get into!  When Oliver is asleep, the adults have some crazy dirty times, whether it's Veronica and one, two, or all three of these men.  I love how dirty and primal they often get!  It's not always rainbows and unicorns - it gets downright emotional - but it is a great read!

The story, group activities aside, is a ripped from the headlines with a pandemic keeping them mostly secluded.  The topic in my escape from reality (books) is something I have been avoiding as much as possible as it creates stress.  While there are some occasions in the book that headed in that direction, most were more innocuous, not overwhelming to the senses.  But there a couple of scenes that it really hits home.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When I read the plot, I was interested as I haven't read any romance novel taking place over the lockdowns. However, I was left disappointed. Veronica gets the job as the nanny, and just a few minutes later she is forced to live with the 3 guys she's babysitting for. Moreover, she tells the baby's father that she got fired from her previous position because the mother of the baby she nannied for thought she was sleeping with her husband, and although it was fault she jumps into bed with her new employer right away. The 3 guys and Veronica all fall in love during a "month" of lockdown and the child's first word is "mama" when nobody ever said the word mama in front of him.

Don't bother

This is just awful. I cringed laughed through half before giving up on it. Terrible no storyline, no connection with the characters. The sex scenes were awful. Thankful I didn't pay for it

This is the perfect book to read during these times. It involves a pandemic and being quarantined with your boss, but also along with his friends. It's three incredibly hot and sweet and loving men that keep the pages turning. I loved seeing the difference between each guy and together they make the perfect package. I was hooked!

I actually really enjoyed this book, more for a laugh then anything it’s legit a porno. The relationship dynamics are too much for me but I’m sure there are people out there that are into this obviously haha but not the lifestyle for me. Most of the sex scenes were steamy AF. I enjoyed the pandemic side of it quite relatable 😷. Nice quick read.
Do not read if you can’t handle a good sex scene 🔥

Just Perfect!

What a beautiful love story! The title sounds like a sexual romp, but it really morphed into a great love story; with a lot of group sex!

Content Warning: Story took place during the height of the pandemic.

This book isn't really just about the spice or steam that comes with this certain type of relationship, it's also about family. About how the pandemic took a big toll on parents and elders of the family. About how worried and paranoid most parents are regarding ensuring the safety of their children, especially infants. The story also emphasized the importance of having a stable support system during trying times. Someone who'll be there during the time of need. Lastly, it also emphasized the importance of savings. Of having a safety fallback in times of need. These are some of the reasons why this book got full stars from me. It was able to include all these important topics and lessons without making the story feel burdened.

Veronica is in desperate need of a job and goes to a house near Lake Summerstone in the middle of nowhere for an interview. She meets Bryce who is an artist, and then Liam walks in from a swim in the lake and she assumes they are a couple, especially when Bryce introduces him as his “partner”. They give Veronica a little of there story and give some information about baby Ollie who is almost a year old. Pax is the last of the guys she meets and he apologizes for flirting with her. Veronica was really good with Ollie that Bryce agreed to hire her right on the spot. This all takes place before the pandemic hits and they all ended up being quarantined together because of the virus. This was a great read.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Veronica, Bryce, Liam, and Pax. When this book opens we find that Veronica has come to this remote cabin to interview for a nanny position. See she was just recently fired because the wife was sure she was sleeping with her husband. She had no interest in the man but the woman didn't believer her. Well that would have been the end of it except for the fact that she saw the ad for the nanny position and decided to try. The next mistake she made was thinking Bryce and Liam were a couple. Since they were both wearing wedding rings she thought it was an honest assumption. They are not a couple their story is so much more interesting. When Pax arrives she finds out it is three old friends that spend their vacation at this house. They ask her to give them all a chance and with limited options she agrees. What happens next is something no one saw coming Pandemic hit. Can these 4 find a life they didn't think they would ever find or will it be just something that happened while under lock-down?

This is another amazing story by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Veronica is fired from her nanny job for something she didn't do. So now she is looking for a new job before her father learns that she lost her nanny position. She is interviewing for a nanny position and praying that she gets the job so she won't have to lie to her dad about her job. Bryce is interviewing Veronica and it seems like she's perfect for the job except for not knowing why she's quit her last job. He was about to ask about that when Liam comes in and everything gets distracted. She thinks that they are gay and a couple and relaxes some. Because she won't say why she was let go from her job Bryce wont hire her. She's out at her car when she meets Pax. Its not long before they call her back into the house and give her a chance. Soon they are in lockdown as the world goes into crisis from the virus sweeping around the world. However the four of them and the little one survive together in their own little world. Will they have something serious once reality is restored and they can return to their normal lives?

This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Veronica is a nanny who was fired from her last job and is now desperately looking for another position to keep her from returning home to her father and siblings again. She has arrived at a lake house where she is being interviewed for a part time job. She meets Bryce, the father of Oliver the baby, Liam who is an art dealer and Bryce’s best friend and then there is Pax, also a best friend.

Then a pandemic hits New York City and they are in lockdown. Veronica learns that they were in a polyamorous relationship, before their wife died. Now the men are looking for another relationship. Veronica fits the bill and they start their exploration and their lives meld together. They faced some challenges and eventually have a happily ever after.

Go to interview and get locked down with three good looking men, what is a women to do? Victoria was interviewing for a nanny job with everything shut down, she was a nanny by day and enjoyed being with the men by night. This steamy, hot and passionate journey will have you on engrossed in the story to the end.

So bad I couldn't finish reading it!

It just wasn't my cup of tea! When I read romance I want it to be unrealistic. It just bothered me about them being quarantined and how they were acting. In all fairness I have a medical background, so it was just getting under my skin rather than being able to enjoy an escape from reality.

Using the pandemic scenario as a way to push the main characters together was... interesting. Given that I'm reading this in April 2023 and the pandemic is still very fresh and real in my mind, I'm not sure whether to congratulate the author for working it into a story or whether it felt like she was trivialising the severity of the situation.

The pandemic doesn't feature greatly in the story because the characters -- Bryce, Liam, Pax, Bryce's baby, Oliver, and the nanny, Veronica -- are all sequestered at a lake house far from civilisation. They are basically in a bubble. But Pax is a financial planner and he's fielding calls and emails from clients throughout, as financial markets tank and lockdowns cause economies to suffer. They also watch tv and there is news of panic buying (with a nod to those who stocked up on toilet paper). So... if that's a bit too much realism for you, this might not be a book you'd like.

For me, though, the three stars mainly is because this book is so predictable and shallow. It lacks depth, because the characters don't have any conversations where they get to know each other, apart from discussing the guys' previous relationship. I didn't see Veronica telling them about her family apart from her mother's death, nor did they really talk much about their own families. The men are very one-dimensional: Bryce is a painter, Liam is a gallery owner who likes physical exercise, and Pax is a financial planner. What makes them tick? What drives them? What do they value in life? Who knows.

Just once I would like to have an FMC who isn't young and down on her luck. Veronica must be in her mid-20s, as she has been nannying for six years, but she's broke and has been living out of her car since she was fired from her last position. At least she really is competent at her job. But she was reckless, almost TSTL -- she has sex with Bryce almost immediately -- and never once is protection mentioned or used, not with Bryce nor with any of the other men. I thought this was dumb both on her part because she's vulnerable as an employee, and also on their parts because they're clearly wealthy.

Frankly, I also thought she was silly for putting her last job on her résumé when she had been fired from it. She ought to have known that any potential employer would ask about it, that they would notice she didn't have a letter of recommendation from her last employer. And she didn't have any response prepared, except to say that "there was a personal disagreement and it was embarrassing"? 🙄

The author tried to throw in some internal conflict which came from the men's previous relationship, but it was hardly anything and there were no other obstacles in the way of them getting together with Veronica. Veronica happily jumps into bed with them; in fact, she initiates it and brings up the possibility of them sharing her. This I considered rather brazen, since she was an employee.

I found it hard to connect with her because she didn't think about her future at all. I mean, she was very well-paid for this job, but she didn't think of how she might be jeopardising it by muddying the waters with sex. There was also the danger of jeopardising her future if things ended on a sour note and she once again didn't manage to obtain a reference or letter of recommendation from Bryce -- that would be the second time in a row that she failed to get a recommendation from an employer, and could make it difficult to find another job later.

Maybe I am just too old for this type of book; a reader in their 20s may find Veronica's attitude pretty normal, but me being in my 40s I can't help but take a more long-term view when it comes to career and financial stability. I mean, the notion didn't even cross her mind. If she had at least thought about it then dismissed it, that would be something. But no--all she said about sleeping with her boss was: "It made me feel weird. But it also made me feel naughty, in a good way." ::facepalm::

I enjoyed this book, for the most part. The characters are easy to like, and while the situation is one that very few got to… enjoy during the height of the pandemic, they are aware of how privileged they are, which works wonders in making them likeable if not easy to relate to.

I cannot give it more stars, though, because Bryce’s little tantrum toward the end really chipped away a lot of my goodwill toward him. The blame he put on Veronica, and the way he used her status as staff against her do not show the kind of emotional maturity I expect from a romantic partner, let alone one in a poly relationship. It felt cruel. And to be clear, I say this as someone who the pandemic put far closer to death than him, so I very much lived his exact situation and somehow, yelling blame at my loved ones never even crossed my mind.

It’s not just my personal experience coloring my impression of him. Even if I had been spared the worst of the pandemic experience, I would still find him too emotionally immature to believe him ready for any kind of romantic relationship, given how lackluster his apology was. Well, that and his constant waffling over his dead spouse. The fact after his little tantrum he decided he still wasn’t ready to move on just made me roll my eyes.

The other two were leagues better when it came to moving on – as they should, given their entire reason to be at the lake house -- though narration-wise, I wasn’t impressed with her final speech to baby Oliver. The fact that it came after Bryce yelled at Veronica about how she would never, ever be Oliver’s mom… I can’t help but feel she’ll always be compared to the perfect ghost of a woman she never even met.

So yeah. Didn’t like that.

The other notable aspect of the book I feel I have to mention is baby Oliver’s parents. I’m not used to RH situations with kids to have such a clear separation of parental rights. Yes, Oliver is clearly Bryce’s, but given all three men were married to his mother at the same time, why do the other two feel like uncles rather than co-parents? Bryce admits he has been raising Ollie for a year, by himself. Even when he contemplates the possibility of maybe dying during the pandemic, his thought is to send the baby to his parents abroad. At no point do the other two men feel even close to potentially father figures of their dead wife’s son.

Didn’t like that either.

But I did enjoy the setting, the banter and the baby. It feels closer to a HFN than a HEA for me, because Bryce needs a lot of therapy before being actually ready to move on, and if Veronica ever manages to fully escape their dead wife’s shadow, negotiating a baby of her own will apparently be an issue. Actually, come to think of it, Dead Wife also left a bunch of her own embryos frozen somewhere – will the guys let those go, or will they make more little ones that Veronica will love as her own, but who will never call her mom?

Yeah, I don’t like that either.

Asks the Age Old Question, Who's the Best Kisser

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. As I’ve said before, I always give honest reviews whether people appreciate them or not.

This story begins with Veronica driving into the middle of nowhere New York to interview for a nanny job. She’s broke, just spent the last of her money on gas for the car, She’s desperate for the job because she…she just is. When she arrives at the house for the interview she’s stunned by how handsome Bryce is. Bryce is the father of the child she would be caring for, so between him, the amazing house and the other man that suddenly walks in during their initial talk, Veronica is a bit overwhelmed. She then manages to put her foot in her mouth when introduced to Liam. Bryce is wearing a wedding ring and Liam is wearing a matching one! Veronica thinks they’re a couple and is completely embarrassed when they say they aren’t. Her introduction to Pax isn’t any less awkward.

All right, Bryce, Liam and Pax all went to college together. Bryce is an artist, a painter actually, and it’s his son Ollie she’s there for. Liam is a Brit that owns art galleries and generally handles selling Bryce’s art. Rounding out the trio is Pax who works with numbers, he handles the money. They eventually tell Veronica that Ollie’s mom was Amanda, a girl they met in college. Apparently the three of them married her, only she passed away due to pancreatic cancer. Ollie is her son, only he was born via IVF and a surrogate. Bryce hires Veronica, both his friends like her and Ollie seems to love her. And then…the Pandemic.

When the story begins it’s pretty much the beginning of when the Pandemic actually was the worst in New York. Ms. Cole didn’t make things up there. Veronica and her men didn’t initially think it was going to be bad. Again, Ms. Cole didn’t make things up there. Eventually, Veronica became Veronica and her…boyfriends, lovers… Can I just say, what a way to work through the stress of quarantine! I was a tad concerned about reading a Reverse Harem story set during The Pandemic as it’s all we see on the news right now. But because I had faith in Ms. Cole and her writing I decided to read this. Holy Cow! Ms. Cole made me laugh, handled the story of Ollie’s mom with poignancy and care and made the relationships deep and pretty wonderful.

Work of heART
This book is about the adventures of Veronica. She’s interviewing for a new nanny position, after being fired from her previous position. And she gets the job! Due to the global pandemic, Veronica is now in lakeside quarantine with three incredibly hot guys – Bryce, Liam and Pax, and Ollie, Bryce’s infant son. How awful for her… NOT!
Things get ridiculously hot and heavy between Veronica and Bryce pretty quickly. They had sex in his studio, which was by no means planned. After a three-year dry spell, he then began to paint again. Veronica had become the inspiration and muse he so desperately needed. But, he wanted to keep their little tryst a secret for now, and she agreed.
Whilst borrowing Pax’s laptop, Veronica accidentally comes across a polyamorous dating site that he’d been logged onto – on behalf of the three of them. She is shocked, surprised and confused, and Bryce explains that all three men were married to Amanda.
Then after a surprising admission to Pax and Liam of what happened between her and Bryce, Veronica hooks up with Pax… AND Liam! She’s ticking off all sorts of hot firsts with these boys! I mean, surely it’s only fair that she share the love around ;)
There are ups and downs, dramas, worries, arguments, miscommunication, misunderstandings and mixed emotions. As a foursome, they just fit together perfectly. They are so sweet and incredibly steamy, and they all had me smiling, smirking, blushing and crying as they worked through their feelings and priorities, and how things were going to work out for them.
I was just sad to see this story end. I think there’s so much possibility for more! It was a THOROUGHLY enjoyable read! I give this book four and a half smutty stars!

Cassie Cole really knows how to write a story that grabs you from the very beginning, has fantastic believable characters, and a story that is what we are all going through during these trying times.

Veronica uses the last of her money for gas to go to a job interview to be a part-time nanny. When she gets there, the house is beautiful, but not as good looking as the man, Bryce, who will hopefully be her boss. She does notice that he wears a wedding ring and during their interview, another man, even better-looking shows up, and he is wearing a matching wedding ring. When a third great looking guy shows up, she is totally confused but loves Ollie, her charge.

Bryce, Liam, and Pax met and became best friends in college where they met and fell in love with Amanda. She passed away but they have Oliver who is theirs via IVF and a surrogate.

Bryce is a famous artist, painting specifically. Yet he has been in a slump and hasn't been able to produce anything well. He hopes that with his friends and his son out in the country, he might be able to do something productive. He hires a nanny so he won't have to be worried as he is working.

Lian has an art studio in England where he sells Bryce's paintings. There have been requests for more of his stuff but Bryce hasn't produced anything since Amanda passed from cancer.

Pax is their money man. He handles all their finances and investments. He has been doing that since college so by this time, they are each independently wealthy but are very supportive of each other.

Once they are all in the country house, they have hired Veronica, the Pandemic happens and she has to stay there with the three men and Ollie. They each are attracted to her and her to them. She becomes Bryce's muse and he can't stop painting and drawing her.

wooohooo now that's what I call staying busy
Three men, a baby and a nanny
Veronica is looking for another nannie job before she has to tell her dad she lost her job. She has a interview today so fingers crossed. It was going so well until he asked why she had left his last job. Veronica didnt want to lie so she said for personal reasons but Bryce He father wasn't happy with that so kept asking but when his Mate/ Partner Liam introduces himself Veronica is relieved to see that they are gay. But she has it totally wrong they are in business with each other. Veronica feels the interview is going so wrong so she excuses herself and leaves only to find another man who seems confused about who she is. Pax is very apologetic when he finds out she was here for the nanny job. Bryce comes running out asking her to come back in to finish the interview. But baby Ollie wakes and Veronica jumps into action showing Bryce what a great nanny she is and he offers her the job. Then the virus hits and everything changes. Veronica is offered a full time job live in to keep them all safe.
3 men in a house with a beautiful nanny what could happen there??
OMG their chemistry and passion if off the charts I just couldnt put it down their story was so addictive lol that's one way not to get bored why there is a pandemic going on.

A new beginning and happier future for the characters in this story.
by sewsummore

When Veronica was employed as a nanny for Bryce's baby son, she did not expect that it would lead to weeks of isolation with them at his lakefront home in upper New York. With them were Bryce's two best friends, Liam and Pax. The three men were all good looking and respectful men who had lost the wife they shared to cancer. Living in close quarters, it did not take long for the three men to act upon the attraction they all felt for Veronica, who felt the same way. At first, it was just Bryce, but before long Liam and Pax became involved as well in a steamy, polyamorous relationship with Veronica. I enjoyed reading this story set amid the traumatic period of isolation and lockdown experienced under the COVID Virus. As I read this book, I could relate to the men's fears and desire to protect the young child and the woman they had come to care for. The author was able to describe the terror, frustration, and paranoia that gripped people amid the pandemic and yet was able to create a love story that grew from the isolation that gave hope of a new beginning and happier future for the characters in this story.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "NANNY WITH BENEFITS" OMG!!!! What a fantastic job Cassie Cole did writing this very hot steamy reverse harem romance, with humor, emotional drama, lost job, you can't out this book down until finushed reading.
Veronica applies to an add in Summerstone Lake in the muddle of no where but she desperate to work after being wrongly accused by the wife of her last job of having an affair with her husband and got fired.
Veronica meets Bryce the father of baby Ollie his son then Liam comes in one of his BF'S along with Pax friends from College but he wanted to know why she left her last job upset she runs out her father pulls up outside and tells her to finish the interview.
Bryce explains that Amanda a girl they met in College and all married died of Pacreactic Cancer the guys like her and when he see's how much Ollie loves her he hires her for the job.
Bryce and Veronica hit off pretty quickly she ends up looking after baby Ollie by day when he's sleeping they all four have wild passionate steamy nights they've been put on lock down since the Covic-19 Pandemic.
I defintely recommend to get this very erotic hot steam book you'll love the characters it was a very enjoyable read it's a must have book for sure.

Veronica is a nanny desperate for a new job after being unfairly dismissed from her last post. She drives to a beautiful lake house where she meets Bryce and is interviewed for the post of nanny for his baby boy. When he asks her about her last post, Veronica gets understandably upset, apologises and runs away. As things are cleared up, she meets Bryce’s two best friends, Liam and Pax who are staying at the lake house for the summer. Then a worldwide pandemic hits, basically cutting them off from the rest of society. But as Veronica gets to know them all, it’s clear that they’re more than simply just good friends. They were in a polyamorous marriage with Ollie’s mother Amanda and all three widowers are finally ready to move on. Could Veronica even consider being a nanny with benefits for the summer?
This is another fantastic read by Cassie. Set in the current climate adds a realism to their situation and all of the characters are interesting. The story flows from beginning to end and is enjoyable and entertaining throughout. Loved it.

I have read several of Cassie Cole's books and have liked them all but this one is absolutely fantastic. Ms. Cole has a way of grabbing you right from the beginning of her books and holds you till the very end. Her story telling and world building are so captivating that you feel like you part of the book (that would make you blush for some of it). Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Bryce, Liam, Pax and Veronica's story is one of living through adversity but coming out stronger on the other side and just maybe getting another chance for your happy ending. This story has everything that you could want in a book; comedy, action, drama, and of course hot, hot romance (what do you expect with 3 hot man to 1 women?). All of the characters were cute and likeable, but it seemed really odd that she would have UNPROTECTED sex WITH her boss DURING a global pandemic, especially when she'd only known him for like a day. Not even addressing the STD potential, but opening herself up to pregnancy in the situation she found herself in seemed insane to me and it hampered my enjoyment.

I loved her dad. I would have really liked more of her family, actually. Liam's even said he wanted to meet her dad so it would have been cool to see at least a video call with all of them where her father could have another opportunity to be awesome and supportive.

All that being said, it was a bit surreal to read a book set in these COVID times. This is the first one I've read like that and it was like constantly switching tracks between lust and panic. I guess that makes sense though. That scene in the grocery store had me reliving my own traumatic grocery trips.

She gets some great fringe benefits with her new nanny position

Nanny With Benefits is definitely not like the movie Three Men and a Baby. Nope this book is a rip your clothes off RH with a quarantine order added in. Now there are three sex-on-a-stick men who the lovely Veronica finds herself stuck with when she gets a new nanny job, after being fired from her last job when she was falsely accused of having an affair with the father. So let's just say that she is more aware of perception now. But that still does not stop a major attraction developing between the little lady and the three big men, Bryce, Liam and Pax.
Veronica most wonderfully has a lot of benefits that go with her her new job and they are each easy on the eyes and sweet on the lips.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
