Love, love, love romance, the paranormal, hunky Highlanders with their delicious brogue and hot kilts, so Terry Spear writes about those hunky Highlanders both in medieval times and as wolves in contemporary times. Jaguar shifters too! And young adult urban fantasy. And romantic suspense.

She grew up reading mystery, adventure, mythologies from around the world, ghost stories, the paranormal, fell in love with Dracula and Wolfman, and felt they needed loving too. Everyone should have someone to love. Which means her stories always have a HEA.

USA Today Bestseller residing in Central Texas from Sacramento, California who creates award-winning teddy bears too!

Wolf to the Rescue is book 4.5 in the White Wolf series by Terry Spear. This paranormal romantic suspense novella features Arctic wolf FBI agent Andrew White and U.S. Fish and Wildlife officer and gray wolf Stacey Grayson. Both end up in Ontonagon, Michigan waiting on search and arrest warrants for two criminals. Obviously, their agencies didn’t talk to each other. There’s an instant attraction between the two and danger abounds. They are their respective partners decide to work together. But things aren’t that simple and easy.

There’s plenty of action, suspense, and romance in this novella, but I wanted a little more character The author has a way of drawing readers into the story quickly and keeping them engaged throughout the book. depth. The worldbuilding is excellent as always with this author. While most of the book takes place in Michigan, there are scenes in Grand Cayman, Texas, and Alaska.

I purchased a copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Fun and exciting story

Stacey is running in the park as a wolf watching her suspect, when she notices an Arctic male watching her! She runs and loses him only to find him again at her hotel! And then things really get crazy. Andrew is intrigued by the gray wolf female he spots while watching his suspect. To his surprise he finds her again at his hotel! I really can't say any more about this without giving the story away.

The pace is breakneck and the tone is hopeful with an action and character oriented storyline that has some steamy scenes. The characters are vivid and kickass.

This is a sidebar to the regular White Wolf series. They are in it for a bit. This story seems to happen as they are driving back to Seattle from Maine, I think, where they all got turned. So this story happens before #1 of the series...just in case you wanted a basic timeline. Enjoy!

This was a quick one, Andrew and Stacey had sparks flying when they both were after the same criminals and not working for the same agencies or even from the same state. It was interesting seeing how they dealt with the mating around their jobs and planning for a future. They managed to get their bad guys and get their future all planned out.

A wonderful tale, with a sweet romance, and just enough risk to bring the characters together. I love how each book has a unique character journey and how they always get a happy ending. It’s a wonderful short story, and I highly recommend reading this book.

Enjoyable story for the length. Decent addition to the series.

ETA: only loosely connected to the white wolf series in that the protagonists meet those characters in passing. This should be number 1.5 in the series since it happens just after the first book and before the pack relocates from Seattle to Ely, Minnesota.
