Dawn (aka The Minimal Mom) is one of my favorite YouTubers. I don’t know that I’ll ever be a minimalist, but in a smallish home (1001 sq ft) things are way easier to manage and I feel much calmer when I have less. And I don’t know why I need someone’s permission to get rid of things or why I need to employ a variety of strategies to enable me to let go, but it really helps.🙃

Dawn is down-to-earth and talks to viewers and readers as a friend. Her videos are fantastic, and the workbook has similar content, but unlike her YouTube channel, it presents a systematic way to go through each area of your home and remove the excess. There are also a bunch of sections sprinkled throughout on general minimalism concepts like the silent to-do list, the onion method and the endowment effect to name a few. She has videos on most of this stuff, but it’s helpful to have it laid out in this format, and she does go into more detail on decluttering specific areas.

Going through this workbook has been helping me get rid of even more stuff I don’t need. My *only* complaint is that there were a lot of typos toward the end, which was a little distracting, but the content is well worth it.

I also purchased the online course that goes with this workbook and the videos were useful and motivating. You could do either/or, but I liked the combo.

I’ll probably be implementing the onion method and going back through this workbook (and the clutter in my house) and peeling back another layer. It’s very refreshing! Highly recommend the workbook and her YouTube channel for anyone who wants to own less but has a hard time actually letting go of stuff or just wants a little extra motivation. ❤️

Even though this is a non-fiction, which I don't really rate. I rated this one 5 out of 5 days.

When Dawn wrote this book, she was very organized and methodical about writing this. She gives you step by step, and she breaks it down into categories. I love how she write this going through the house room by room giving tips, tricks, and everything to get the house decluttered in such a short amount of time each day.

I really enjoyed this book, and will definitely be referencing it while decluttering my house. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to do the same.

I like the way the book goes through each room of the house & then other categories such as paper, toys, etc. Very detailed and easy to follow.

5 Stars bc I've benefitted & grown so much from Dawn's Minimal Mom YouTube videos (strongly recommend!) that when she finally came out w this book I was mentally primed & ready to use it well. Dawn's tips & tools for rethinking our relationship w things has helped me make progress in the ongoing process of freeing myself from the burden of clutter. This book is a great guide to decluttering & full of wise pointers for thinking through letting go of things not serving us or getting in the way of enjoying our lives & the people we love. It has a critical intro/beginning and then goes through different rooms or categories of areas in our homes. The worksheets for one's own thought processes & ideas are also useful.

I love her YouTube channel, and this workbook didn't disappoint. I love having everything in one place. I've been on a minimal journey for a few years. This is helping me get through the last few hurdles and reevaluate things I've already been through but can go further on.
