A slowly delivered tale of animals working together having to live alongside ‘hoomans’ - so sweet - important listening reminder in heatwave time to look after all creatures that can’t always provide for themselves in extremes… and the songs are in the Nightmare before Christmas strange but wonderful style… I’m a fan

This is a delightful story, with such a wholesome message. I loved the animation so much I just had to have the book.

This picture book is based on the new Aardman Animation called Robin Robin.
The story is about a little egg which rolls out of its nest during a winter storm. It ends up in a rubbish dump, where it is found by a family of mice. When the egg hatches, it is a baby Robin and she becomes part of the mouse family.
She tries her best to fit in with the mice but she is different. They are burglars who are good at sneaking and stealing crumbs but she just isn’t like them. She isn’t a mouse but she doesn’t really feel like a bird either.
On Christmas Eve, as the mice go to bed hungry, Robin decides to go on her own adventure to find some food for the family. Along the way she meets a new friend, Magpie, as well as a mean cat who wants to eat her up! She needs to be clever and brave to survive and get back to her family with a Christmas feast!
This is a good book for families to share at Christmas. It is full of bright, colourful pictures from the actual film and has an exciting story, full of action and danger, that kids of all ages will enjoy.
