A flipping masterpiece. It’s like extra devastating cause… well shit we all know what happens to everyone.
It had been one thing, what she'd said to Severus in a look. I'll see you later.
But her glance at James—it was different. I'm seeing you now.
There were so many moments I wish I could talk about with someone but I'll do with the main bullet points.

You get both ships without the cheating/menage/reverse harem angles.
You get two different types of love.
You get multiple POVs -the most important and obvious James, Lily, Severus - but also another 4 who end up being extremely important or ones that serve to allow you to view the scene from another lens (chefs kiss on that really)
You get angst.
You get positive and negative aspects of characters [reads: mainly snapey-snape]

First marauders era fanfic i’ve read. It broke me pretty bad the whole time cuz we know 😭😭😭
But the vibes, the writing, the characterization, dialogue was fantastic. I actually enjoyed the Snape - Lily beginning, glad that good old Sev got some (learn to be) happy moments.

(108k words) i read this to complete the “this world or any other” universe. prequel story- marauders story + snilly and eventual jilly. close to canon, so it’s just hard to make the stiry good when you know the sad ending :( wasn’t bad, just mid
