Single, but unsettled, Stefano Borelli, spends his days creating masterpieces loved by his clients. Surrounded by family and friends, his loneliness still plagues him.
Until she bursts into his life. A stubborn woman with too much baggage, too much to say, and a child in tow.
Far too much trouble.
Except, he likes her spark. The way she refuses to listen. How beautiful she is with her son. How right she feels in his arms.
A bit about me: NYT/WSJ/USAT International bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of lots of lovely years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them. While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys travelling, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip. Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She's learned happily ever-afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.

Breaking the Speed Limit is book two in the Reynold’s Restorations series by Melanie Moreland. This can definitely be read as a stand alone but if you haven’t read the first book, Revved to the Maxx which features the owner of Reynolds Restorations, Maxx, and Charly, the woman who stole his heart, you are really missing out.
Stefano Borelli is thirty four years old and works for Maxx at Reynolds Restorations. He loves his job. He is youngest of five kids in a huge Italian family, the only one left who is single. Stefano doesn’t mind being single but has to admit that he has felt like something was missing from his life lately. It’s on his way home one night that it happens. That once in a lifetime lightening strike. These two have the BEST first meeting.
Gabby is twenty eight years old and is a single mom to her adorable five year old son, Theo. Gabby’s life revolves around making enough money at her two jobs to keep her son fed and the rent paid. Luckily she has a couple of wonderful neighbors who help her with Theo. Let me give you a fair warning here. Prepare to fall in love with little Theo. This kid is five going on twenty five. He is smart and perceptive and absolutely adorable.
Stefano knows right away he needs to see this woman again. He can also see the shadows in her eyes. The hesitation to trust, the fiery independence of her spirit. He can also tell pretty much from the start that this woman is meant to be his.
“She was an enigma. One I wanted to solve.”
First of all, it was amazing to get to see Charly and Maxx again. These two are so much fun and are still so in love. And of course, Charly wants to help everyone, including Stefano and Gabby.
Stefano wanted nothing more than to have Gabby and Theo in his life. But he knows Gabby is hiding something from her past. He only hopes that she’ll eventually trust him enough to share it with him.
Gabby never thought she’d be able to have real happiness in her life, a man who cared about both her and her son, a home, a job she enjoyed, love. She starts to get a glimpse of what that kind of life would look like. But is it just a dream, or could it ever be a reality?
This was such a wonderful book. It was sweet and sexy and made my heart so happy. A couple of times my eyes got all watery, in the best of ways, thanks to little Theo. That little boy slayed me. I loved Gabby and Stefano’s journey and of course, Melanie gives us the perfect epilogue. We also get just a peek into what Brett has in store for him in the next book, Shifting Gears. I can’t wait.
“There was no one else on earth like my Gabriella. My Tesoro.”
Truth be told - I have re-read my ARC twice. Why? Because I had no idea I was looking for a hero like Stefano Borelli.
I have found as romance readers that we follow a pattern - we want someone to hear and understand us. Comforts us when we are feeling down. Helps us slay our battles. These heroes may start out irritatingly contrary or charmingly nerdy. We want them to love us and do these romantic things. (Side note: us is really the heroine but don't we all replace ourselves as the heroine as we read?)
Stefano is the romantic lead I had been looking for and didn't know I needed.
When he finds Gabby, it's instant. Mine. Piss a circle. All the actions of a hero who has found his soulmate. Some readers may call this instalove. I just found Stefano got the connection and his heart was won over. End of. He treats Gabby with the respect and intimacy she deserves.
Gabby isn't without baggage. She's got a 5-year-old son to consider. Plus she is starting over in a new town. When you have a Mama bear, she's going to put those 'back off, go slow' vibes, and rightfully so. But you see how much Theo is her world and she's going to make sure he feels safe and loved.
Let's talk - standalone or read the entire series? First, if you skip book 1 (you can, but seriously really?) You will miss out on the spectacular chemistry of Maxx and Charly. However, if you want to start here with a dirty-talking, romantic Italian who will do ANYTHING including stomping on his own heart for the heroine, start here.
Those who loved Revved To The Maxx will not be disappointed. Charly shows up with her antics to drive Maxx crazy. But I have to report - a new scene-stealer in a 5-year-old boy - Theo.
I loved the storytelling, watching these two meet and combust. Watching the introduction of family acceptance with open arms. Awesome side characters in Brett, Kelly and Chase. Just again - brilliant weaving of entertaining the reader and having us fall in love with the genre all over again.
I've had the opportunity to listen to the audio. John Lane and Maxine Mitchell hit the performance out of the park. I could listen to John Lane call me "Tesoro" all day.
Breaking the Speed Limit (Reynolds Restorations, #2) Written by: Melanie Moreland
Stefano Borelli loves his job, his family (work & real) and is always willing to help. So the night he comes upon a pretty lady pulling something out of her trunk; he had to stop and offer her some help. Gabby doesn’t give trust easily, so a man, even if he is handsome is the last person she wants help from. Add in the fact Gabby hates to feel beholding to people, she rarely accepts help unless she can pay for it. But Gabby needs to get home, so, she lets Stefano help change the tire on her car. This is where we readers begin to see who the real Stefano and the real Gabby are.
What they are is very attracted to each other! Very attracted! As their story begins readers are along for their journey and what a journey they have. With the appearance of some of our favorite Moreland characters we get to spend time with Charly and Maxx, Brent and Chase and we get a story filled with humor, love, support and a five year old named Theo who has one of the best senses of humor ever!
Through the ups, the downs, the steam and the potty humor I laughed, I teared up, I fell in love with all the new characters introduced and remembered how much I loved our old friends.
Author Melanie Moreland gives readers men who are all about protection, kick ass women who can carry the world on their shoulders while raising the next generation and characters that we can all relate to.
Do not hesitate to pick this book up, I can guarantee smiles, giggles, laughs and love.
"Life has a way of bringing us what we need when we need it." Oh man, doesn't it? Why am I saying it does? Because I need a Stefano, and life better hurry up and get me one. I love Melanie's writing style and how she pulls you in effortlessly, and you go willingly. This is a low-angst story with wonderfully sweet and so-very-cute moments, filled with sexual tension and some steam, and a lot of love – so much that it just wraps you up and keeps you turning the pages.
"Those dark, sexy eyes that smoldered and beckoned. Kissing me." Stefano was incredible! I love his protectiveness and how trustworthy and loving he is. Some of the stuff he said made me swoon, and I loved the bits and pieces in Italian. Also, it was great to see a guy with his own issues from the past, and who hasn't been sleeping around with a truckload of women until he (finally) finds the heroine - I found it refreshing, to say the least.
"I planned on touching a lot of her. She just didn’t know it yet." I always like it when the heroine isn't a doormat or throwing herself a pity party. While this one could, she really doesn't. Gabby's had a bad relationship. She doesn't have a lot of anything, and she works hard for what she does have, while making sure to be there for her son, Theo, in every possible way. Her money issues, and the choices she had to make, felt real and were sometimes heartbreaking for me.
"You're going fast again, Stefano." "Breaking the speed limit. You gonna join me or give me a ticket?" The way they meet is interesting (and man, I so could relate to Gabby!), and the chemistry is there from the start. Stefano is definitely in lust, if not love, at first sight, and he takes a chance by kissing her. When she returns the kiss, you just know in your gut they're perfect together. The fact that they can't stop thinking about each other absolutely makes it clear as day.
"No talking will be happening unless you count the groans you'll be making as I make you come. Again." Gabby is understandably afraid to trust, but Stefano is adorably persistent. It takes them a while. The slow-burn and the sexual tension radiating off them made it even more enjoyable for me. Their moments together were definitely steamy, and I loved their intimacy and the unabashed way they explored each other. Plus, all the times they tried to keep their antics a secret from her 5-year-old son made me laugh out loud. Freaking ADORABLE!
"I'll hold you until it goes away. I'll fight whatever demons are haunting you." When it becomes clear that something is holding Gabby back from being all in, Stefano is even swoonier. He's there for all of it. For her. He doesn't care that she's a single mom, he loves her kid, and their moments together are very much family-like. Seamless. Fitting. And Gabby finally feels safe, in his arms. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4.5/5 stars is that I wanted more romance. I wanted them to ease into their relationship, to be able to watch them falling in love. Very true to the title, they go from 0 to 60 in record time, and while I loved it, I also missed that bit.
"I'll give her anything she wants as long as she's in my life." This book gave me a feeling of togetherness and made my heart happy. I had a smile on my face at the end because these two people were so worthy, and this was the happily ever after they deserved.
SWOON!!! Like OMG so much swoon. I spent a flight home from vacation with Stefano and Gabby and almost wasn’t ready for the flight to end since I wasn’t quite done yet. These two were the perfect companions.
I was not ready for how romantic Stefano was. I’m not sure what I was expecting from him but wow was I totally blown away by his romantic gestures, his protectiveness, and his general all around good guy personality. Gabby is like the pinnacle of strength and I loved how she stood tall and didn’t let anyone run over her. I was cheering her on from the first interaction and I couldn’t get enough of her sass and humor.
There were parts of this that had me on the edge of my seat and I honestly didn’t see that end coming!! I can’t wait to come back to Reynolds Restoration!!
Melanie Moreland had exceeded my expectations and then some with Stefano’s book. The author brought her A-game delivering us with all the swoon and unforgettable moments in Breaking the Speed Limit. Stefano is the complete package and even Gabby, a single-mom to Theo, who has a hard time allowing people to get close, is immune to his charm. This story is heartwarming. The way this small group of friends come together made my heart burst with happiness. Stefano broke all speed limits and continues to break them when it comes to Gabby and Theo. He is always in it to win it and he won the ultimate prize… their love and trust. The men at Reynolds & Co. Restoration and Repairs are to die for. I can’t get enough of these men and the women in their lives. I look forward to more of these characters. I bow down to the author for captivating me with memorable characters and outstanding storylines. I adore this book and it deserve all my stars.
AUDIOBOOK: I have to say, each time I listen to John Lane and Maxine Mitchell narrate, it solidifies what I have been saying with each new audiobook I listen to. They are, no questions asked, hands down my favorite duo. There are many great narrators but together these two are extraordinary. They never fail to capture my attention wholly with any book they perform. They slayed Breaking the Speed Limit, Gabby and Stefano’s story, with off-the-charts performance. They took an exceptionally fabulous book and levelled up making it amazing.
Holy smokes!!! I adore Stefano and Gabby!!! These two are so perfect together I squeed just a bit. I must admit I have never read a Melanie Moreland book I didn't like, but this series just gets to me in a so much deeper way. Stefano is so sweet and protective and can be overbearing but in the most delicious way and five alarm hot! I love how he helps a stranger by the side of the road without too much thought except to help and falls in love on the same instant. I love how Gabby really does the same but fights it every step of the way. She has good reason to but you have to read it to find out why. Gabby is so strong but she has no clue as to how strong she is. Being a single mother is just the tip of the iceberg. I could not get enough of this couple and the deep conversations they have as well as the times that are not safe for work. Revisiting this garage and all the people who make up it's family was so wonderful. Maxx and Charley, Brett, Chase and the rest have become one of my favorite places to be.
I absolutely loved this book!❤️. It has all the emotions you could want and then some. I laughed, I cried(mainly because I was laughing so hard), it tugged on my heart strings and it made me just appreciate life. Love at first site? For Stefano yes! For Gabby, life has been tough so she isn’t going to admit it or give into it. But these two were made for each other. One chance meeting changed their life’s forever. But I’m going to be honest here and tell you that Theo is absolutely my favorite little character in this book! Chapter 21…..oh so sexy but in the end, I could not stop laughing…..hands down one of the best books so far this year!! Amazing characters and an engrossing story! This is a must read series especially if you are a fan of Melanie’s work!!
What do you get when you challenge a cinnamon roll hero with a scarred and independent heroine who’s always looking over her shoulder? Well, if you’re a Melanie Moreland fan, you get an instalust, emotional slow burn romance with humor, heat, and heart. But Breaking the Speed Limit isn’t all about Stefano and Gabby. Nope, you also get a very adorable little man (Theo), an Italian nonna (Rosa), and a reunion with Maxx and Charly, all of whom add to the emotional depth of Stefano and Gabby’s story. Moreland interlaces steam and sentiment with an underlying tone of intrigue and suspense that will keep you reading way past your bedtime. And try not to drink anything when Theo is even remotely in the scene. His antics will have you giggling and snortlaughing one second, and sniffling over his adorable honesty the next. This is a beautiful addition to the Reynolds Restoration world, and I cannot wait to see what comes next for this wonderful found family.
There is nothing more important to Stefano than family, whether it be by blood or by brotherhood. So when he finds a damsel in distress on the side of the road, his instant attraction throws him for a loop. But when single mother Gabby brings baggage to the table, Stefano needs to decide if he is all in or whether it is easier to walk away and keep his family safe. Can Gabby put her past behind her and start anew? Will Stefano open his heart and his family to Gabby and her young son Theo? In an instant the reader falls head over heals for the dynamics of the relationship and only wants them to get a HEA. Melanie Moreland uses her epic storytelling ability to make her characters true to life. The love and affection Stefano not only had for Gabby but for Theo as well put a smile on my face and warmed my heart. Nothing better than an alpha male falling to his knees for a single mother.
We’re back at Reynold’s Restorations with the second instalment in the series, this time we’ve got body restorer/painter/designer Stefano Borelli getting the hots for skittish and independent Gabby, who refuses help, no matter how desperately she needs it, and keeps herself completely aloof. Refusing relationships and friendships with everyone, apart from those she has no choice to trust to look after her totally adorable 6 year old, Theo (heads up - he stole the show - I loved him, totally awesome). A sweet, completely sexy, and tragically emotional romance with added drama as Gabby tries desperately to run from her sordid past. Great characters, Stefano is so gentle and sweet on the inside, with a totally tough exterior. I loved all the support shown by everyone in Lomand and Littleburn for Gabby and Theo, small town romance is the best. Totally enjoyable, funny, sweet and highly addictive. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
I love Melanie's books they always leave me with a warm fuzzy contented feeling and this didn't disappoint. Stefano is everything you could want , caring, protective sexy and loving, just what Gabby needed. A great book to read and lose yourself in and once again a perfect epilogue. It can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend you read Revved to the max , to get the full story of Reynolds restoration. I shall be eagerly awaiting Brett's story in Shifting Gears xx
I'm so glad we are back with Maxx and the Gang! Another refreshing story from Melanie Moreland. Stefano and Gabby quickly heated up the pages. The mix of english and Italian languages being sprinkled together was adorable. Stefano was pretty open with Gabby but she has a hard nut to crack. Will her past prevent them from being together? Oh let's not forget about Theo. I always loved single parent stories.
“Breaking the Speed Limit” is a fast-paced story that races into your heart, hugs all the corners, then does a slow victory lap while you smile and sigh with satisfaction. It’s the second book in the ‘Reynold’s Restorations’ series but it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.
Stefano is a good guy who’s had bad experiences trying to find the right woman. He tries to be content as an uncle to the many children of his many siblings, but deep inside he really wants more than that … but he doubts it’s going to happen for him. Gabby is a single mom trying to find a safe life for herself and her son. Life has taught her hard lessons about the need to never again rely on anyone else. When a chance meeting brings Stefano and Gabby together, his offer of kindness is met with her distrust and disbelief. Despite that, neither of them can deny the physical attraction that immediately exists between them. It’s a book, yes, but the struggles of the main characters are so very real. This story is full of heart; it’s heartbreaking, heartwarming, heart-stopping, and heartening. Stefano and Gabby are both multidimensional characters, and they each grow and change throughout the story because of their connection. Be warned, Stefano is one of the best book boyfriends I’ve ever encountered.
There are wonderful secondary characters in this book. Theo, Gabby’s son, is such an amazing ‘little man’ that I wanted to take a turn babysitting him. I thought Stefano’s mother was wonderful and wish I could stop by her house for Sunday dinner. The friends in this story are delightful, and you’ll be familiar with many of them if you read the first book in the series. (If you haven’t read that book yet, this book will make you want to go back and do that.) The villain is despicable. The ending of the story is exciting, and the epilogue … oh, that epilogue! Melanie Moreland creates the kind of epilogues that make a reader sigh and smile in satisfaction, and this one certainly does that. Bravissima!
I read an advanced copy of this book and I'm sharing my honest thoughts and opinions. I also purchased a copy on Amazon.
I’m so happy Melanie decided to write this series. 💜
Breaking the Speed Limit is the second book in The Reynolds restorations series. (This is Stefano’s story)
Stefano and Gabby are perfect for each other. They have an Instant spark/attraction. They are exactly what each other need in there life. I loved little sweet Theo, Gabbys son, He’s so cute. And I loved the connection he and Stefano had. I enjoyed reading there story. I couldn’t put it down.
This story is Sweet, emotional , steamy, a little hurt comfort. Single mom, small town, found family , great characters. Well deserved HEA. 💖
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better !!! Breaking the Speed Limit ( Reynolds Restorations, #2) is Stefano and Gabby’s journey and to say this couple stole a piece of my heart would be an understatement. I fell hard and fast for Stefano and his protective and romantic Italian ways, I adored Gabby but it was a little boy named Theo that stole the show for me. The narration by Maxine Mitchell and John Lane was perfection, they were spot on with every emotion and they did a fantastic job bringing the characters and their journey to life. Family and friends mean the world to Stefano so when he comes across a damsel in distress on the side of the road, he was always going to stop and help but what he didn’t expect was the instant attraction and the need to help this stunning sassy woman who wants no help from any man. Gabby has secrets, she has baggage and up until now her son was the only male in her life, five year old Theo was always her first priority but what she didn’t see coming was a man prepared to love and protect them both. She knows she risks a lot by giving into her feelings so will she take a chance and trust another man …… This book touched me on so many levels, I smiled and I giggled as Theo becomes inquisitive about a man spending the night, I swooned and I sighed as Gabby and Stefano get to know each other and build their relationship but it was Stefano’s relationship with Theo that took this book to another level. I loved everything about this book and you will too so I guess all I need to say is please one click this gem, you won’t be disappointed.
Breaking the Speed Limit is book two of three in the Reynold’s Restorations series by Melanie Moreland. Book one was Revved to the Maxx and I still crack up when I think of Charly driving Maxx Reynold insane. Fast forward and they are now married expecting baby #2 and it’s the co-owner of Reynold’s Restoration’s turn to find love.
Stafano Borelli is a 34-year-old super-hot Italian stallion whose life is about to be forever changed when he helps Gabrielle, 28, a beautiful independent damsel in distress, broken down on the side of the road. If you like Melanie’s insta-spark books, trust me when I tell you Stafano is all in from the moment they meet and you will love this. He is all alpha, and does everything in his power to charm the woman he can’t stop thinking about.
Although smitten, Gabby is a little hard to get as she is harboring a deep secret as to why she is in town, and is very protective of Theo, her adorable five-year-old son. He is patient and gentle and oh so sexy as he makes her melt in his arms with his loving words and sexy smolder. Melanie heroes are always honorable and trustworthy and Stefano is a man of character. He is a loyal friend, a great son and sibling (love his mom and family), and totally devoted to Gabby and Theo.
Gabby has a past that is about to catch up with her and I admire her bravery and how she risked it all to keep her son safe. This book does have some angst, and let me tell you, you don’t want to cross Stefano, he’s such a growly protector when it comes to those he loves! Melanie can write it all–the sweet scenes, the steamy scenes, the nail biters, as well as funny ones. All the feels, all the time!
Gabby is hardworking and such a natural fit with the crew at the auto shop and I laughed out loud on many pages. Heavily pregnant Charly is still the same and I was so happy that she appeared in so many chapters, as well as a new character, Kelly, a photographer who is visiting. Kelly and Brett will be featured in book three, Shifting Gears. What’s up with their relationship? I’d sure like to know, and am glad I won’t have long to wait!
If you loved Revved to the Maxx from the Reynolds Restorations series (and if you haven't read yet, please do!), you will love this one as well. This time we will find out more about Stefano, a partner and friends with Maxx. A hot Italian who is a master in auto design and by accident he helps Gabby with her tire. Little both of them know that this help will lead them both in finding love. Gabby has an adorable son, Theo, and as a single mother she works hard and is afraid of her past. Stefano is adorable, a real hero and a sexy man when needed. Together, they will face the adversities and you will read a great story with so many wonderful scenes. Melanie Moreland is the best author! I just loved it!
Breaking The Speed Limit is my new favorite Melanie Moreland book! Stefano Borelli isn’t looking for a relationship. He is content with a job he loves, close friends and his big Italian family around him. He surely doesn’t know what hit him when Gabby and her son Theo come speeding into his life.
“I silently thanked the powers that be for flat tires, short skirts, and pretty girls who mouthed off to me. It was divine intervention that had me pull over to offer the stranger help. She had changed my life.”
Gabby is trying to provide the best life she can for Theo and keep him safe from her past life. But she knows that the past could detour them at any time and she has to stay ready to run.
“You aren’t alone anymore. Trust me. Lean on me. I won’t let you down.”
I adored Stefano and Gabby’s story. Stefano was all in from the start and just had to have the patience to carry Gabby along so she could catch up.
“You’re going fast again, Stefano. I winked. “Breaking the speed limit.” You gonna join me or give me a ticket?” For a moment, she said nothing. Then she smiled. “I’m right beside you.”
I listened to most of this story on audiobook and just loved the awesome narration. John Lane as Stefano calling Gabby “Tesoro” *SWOON*!!! -5 Stars!-
Stefano enjoys his job at Reynolds Restorations and the camaraderie that he shares with his co-workers, is a great son and brother but he would like to have a woman to share his life with. He never expected to find her on the side of the road or that once he met her, he wouldn’t be able to picture a future that didn’t include her and her son.
Gabby faces every challenge that life throws at her and perseveres as her son Theo is her world. Between working and her son she can’t afford to be distracted especially as she is ever on the alert to ensure that their past doesn’t catch up with them. Slowly but surely Stefano has managed to break through her walls and wonder if her future could be different than her past.
Gabby has always had to be strong with minimal support so it was heartwarming to see Stefano convince her that she was no longer along and there isn’t anything he and all the people in their lives wouldn’t do for her and Theo.
Once again Melanie didn't disappoint! I don't know where she finds that kind of perfect/adorable/loveable/sexy men.. I am tempted to move to Canada near her and find out! This book is heartwarming, Stefano and Gabby are adorable and I am happy they found each other. Their instant attraction and their connection since the first time they see is amazing and how he treats her son Theo is so cute.. This book can be read alone but I recommend to read first Revved to the Maxx. Can't wait to read Brett story!
If Melanie Mooreland writes a book, I read it. I know its going to be great because she is a fantastic author and a one-click author for me! This second book in the Reynolds Restorations series is about Stefano and Gabby and a must read!
Stefano Borelli works at Maxx Reynolds' garage restoring cars and motorcycles. When he rescues a beautiful woman whose car is broken down on the side of the road, he is a gonner at first sight. Gabriella (Gabby) has a 5 year old son named Theo who steals your heart, along with a mountain of secrets and baggage. She has built walls and refuses to let anyone in, but Stefano persists tirelessly and she is no match for his kindness and the crazy chemistry they share!
This wonderful story has Maxx and Charly in it from Revved to the Maxx, Book 1, and it is wonderful to see our old friends, but if you haven't read it, you can read this as a standalone. Theo is the star of this book, melting your heart with his cute observations and interactions, especially with Stefo. 💖. This book will warm your soul and make your heart happy. You will believe that all can be well in the world, and good guys really do win.
Steffano is the man all women look for. A man that from the moment he sees you is a gentleman with the right amount of roughness. From the moment Stefano sees Gabby he feels an attraction and a fierce need to protect her. Gabby has been hurt and she has been running and fighting to find safety for her and most importantlyTheo. But when she meets Stefano and he becomes their home and their safety. Will she be able to play the tote game again or will she stay and fight to keep her new found family.
Loved this book it was a brilliant continuation of Reynolds Restorations it was so good to read how the boys and girls had made a life with each other. Stefano is just amazing and so romantic, and how he treats Theo made my heart flutter it is as though he is his father and Gabby slowly realises she wants to be with him
Reynolds Restoration book 2 Breaking The Speed Limit is so amazing. Stefano and Gabby are so wonderful together. Stefano is this persistent Italian with the perfect accent and words, I want to be his Tesoso why not? Gabby is really badass herself, so brave and giving everything for Theo. Theo just stole my hear in a couple of words. The romance, the sweetness, the steamy is just perfect. The twist and turns in this one are pretty captivating. You get to love how Stefano Break The Speed Limit with Gabby. Well done Melanie 👏🏻. I’m so excited for Brett’s book!!!
In a lot of ways Stefano reminds me of Maxx. The way he loves Gabby and Theo is heartwarming. Gabby past isn’t a pleasant one and it took her awhile to tell Stefano. By then he knew he wanted a future with her and he had alrighty loved Theo like he was his own child. Everyone loved the little guy as well as Gabby. They do get their happy ending.
5 star Review Breaking The Speed Limit (Reynold’s Restoration #2) by Melanie Moreland
As I have come to expect from a book from Melanie Moreland, Breaking The Speed Limit was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but become quickly drawn in to. It was so good to be back in The Reynold’s Restoration world for Stefano Borelli, and Gabby’ s story and oh what a story it was.
Gabby explodes into Stefano’s life and turns it upside down with a tonne of baggage and her adorable little boy named Theo in tow. I loved these characters and the instant connection that sizzles between Stefano and Gabby when he comes to her rescue.
The chemistry that ignites between them is so hot that I could almost feel myself bursting into flames. Gabby is a strong, sassy, loving mother and I loved her. I fell hard and fast for Stefano and wow the relationship he forged with Theo just about melted my heart.
From the first word to the last I was hooked. The banter between them is fun, and there was so much love that I felt like I had a permanent smile on my face.
Melanie knocks another one out of the park! I loved this one. It's funny, romantic and a little suspense. You get to visit with the whole gang from Reynold's restorations and Red is still up to her old tricks. GO GRAB A COPY TODAY!
Stefano and Gabby's story was so good, Stefano is Maxx's partner and friend. Gabby is a single mother. The story had amazing moments, fantastic characters, and if you haven't read book one, please go and read it. The story started to build and hooked me, I am not a fan of single parents' stories, yet I loved Theo. The way Stefano won Gabby's and Theo's hearts and trust was inspiring. It was a total swooning, romantic story. I love how Melanie Moreland writes, and over the years she is just getting better and better, her stories have a lot of meaningful insights, fantastic characters, and unforgettable moments.
Another wonderful hug from Ms Moreland! This is such a beautiful story of finding safety and love in the most unexpected of places. Gabby is a single mum to Theo. Struggling to keep her head above water financially whilst keeping their heads down at the same time….she’s holding it together but it’s a fine line for her. Every day is a challenge and it won’t take much to upset her extremely precarious balance. A gentle soul with the weight of the world on her delicate shoulders. She will go to any lengths to protect her son. Stefano is a great guy, family and friends are the focus of his life. He would do anything for any of them. Full of integrity and heart. A chance meeting and soon Gabby is included in his close circle of care.
I loved the development of all the relationships in this. Theo’s attachment to Stefo was so heartwarming and the way Ms Moreland has created such a wonderfully close network of friends…it just makes you want to be a part of it.
Of course there is some drama and some happy moments all perfectly wrapped in Ms Moreland’s easy writing style and guaranteed love!
