I should have never agreed…
But it was only one ride....
Besides, I was way overdue for a little excitement.

A middle aged, overworked single mom barely keeping my head above water, I'm hardly living my best life.
He's a rough around the edges biker who can't be anything but trouble, and he's looking at me as if I'm the sexiest woman alive.
Maybe I shouldn't have said yes, but I needed a ride home.
And he offered.
On two conditions:
1) Hold on.
2) Let go.
It was dangerous, but I was due for a little danger, and when he touched me…all bets were off. I would climb on the back of his bike every night for the rest of my life if he'd make me feel that way again. And again.
He lights up every part of me.
Even my heart.
But I don’t know anything about him. And when I find out…
Everything changes because I no longer know who or what to trust anymore.
And if I don’t figure it out soon, I will lose everything.

I loved how Jessie and her friends got together at least once a month to talk and support each other. They normally came to Rosie’s dinner which Jessie had bought ten years ago when she divorced. She did a wonderful job of raising her twins Sadie and Lucas. It had to be hard on Jesse to drop her kids off at college and go to a quiet home. I was so glad her friends encouraged her to go out with a man and have some fun. When the sexy biker came into Rosie’s late one night, her friends were there and encouraged her to go for a ride on his bike. I think men usually make dumb decisions and hence the biker who is really Shane and very rich, told her his name was Dax. Shane had been burned in the past and women only wanted him for his money, so I can see that he would like to have a relationship with someone who wanted him. The two were combustible together and couldn’t stay away from each other. Unfortunately there are events that happen to make Jesse question everything Shane and her had. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Finally Mine is book two in the Finally series.
Finally Mine is the single mom romance trope featuring a biker who wins her over.
FMC Jessie is a single, divorced mom to her twins Sadie and Lucas. She bought a restaurant named Rosie's, where she and her friends meet every so often to catch up and supoprt each other. They're the ones that encourage her to go out with the hot biker that shows interest. That hot biker is Shane. Shane makes a dumb choice by lying to Jessie about his name. His reason being that he's been used for his money in the past. He obvoiusly has to eventually tell her the truth. There are other things that occur in the book that cause Jessie to question everything. Will their romance work?

Well worth the read, and I'm starting the next in the series asap.

This is the second in the Finally Series and one of the things I found so refreshing is that it is a romance novel where our main characters are in their 40s.
Jessie, a single mum who has just packed her kids off to college, hasn’t focused on herself (or her love / sex life) in too many years. She owns a struggling business and has recently received an underwhelming buyout offer from a company wanting to redevelop the land on which her business sits. Into her diner walks Dax, a sexy biker, and the spark between them is undeniable.
Her amazing group of girlfriends, all written as strong, independent women, encourage her to ‘go for it' as she embarks on what they all believe to be a one-night stand.
The story develops from there in a delightful manner. Not an easy road to a HEA, but Ms. Aitken has written a very enjoyable page turner as she takes you on this journey with them.
I received an ARC from the author and I enjoyed every moment reading Jessie and Shane’s story and look forward to further titles in this series.

I received an advance copy from the author for my honest review. I love that the author gives both main characters points of view. Elena Aitken, the author, does this with her books and I highly recommend that you read her other books. For this story, Jesse, divorced, mother of twins that just left for college, is the owner of a diner. She meets "Dax", who appears to be a hot biker but is hiding his real identity of a billionaire tech company owner. Instant lust ensues and they start seeing each other. I love that this is not your typical heroine as she's over 40 with some "curves". There are lots of sexy times and these two fall for each other. There is a bit of angst but you really root for these two to reach their HEA. I enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to reading the others in this series.

In this latest book in a series about four girlfriends that have a special bond, we get Jesse’s story. A single mom of two college bond kids who owns a diner that barely makes ends meet. A diner that a developer is determined to acquire.
When a handsome biker stops at the diner one evening, the attraction between them is obvious. Her friends encourage her to take a leap and have a one night stand. As the days go by, Dax continues to come back and make Jesse feels special and beautiful, feelings start to develop. But both have been hurt by love.
What happens when Jesse discovers that the man she thought Dax was is not real? Will the betrayal keep them apart? Will the lies be the last straw?
Though the story had a little more intimate scenes than I preferred, it was a good story about second chances in life and love with complex characters.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. What a great read. I liken how Elena reels you in so you can't put the boom down. We meet diner owner Jessie, who is a divorced mom of twins, struggling to keep things afloat. There is also the fact a developer wants to buy her diner..her livelihood. We meet Shane, multi-millionaire businessman who decides to go for a bike ride and stop at a diner. What he didn't expect to see what a gorgeous brunette sneaking wine to a table...how interesting. Jessie can't believe the sexy biker who walked into her diner and he offers her a ride home. Jessie's girlfriends are there and encourage her to live a little. Jessie decides to go for it...a little fun never hurt anyone. The biker introduces himself as Dax, bc women only want him for his money and really its only for a night. But after a taste, Shane wants more and can't keep Jessie off his mind. Jessie keeps thinking about Dax and all thr time they are spending together. Can she hope for more? Will Shane tell her the truth of who he really is?

I really loved this story. Jessie was a divorced mom with twin just in college and she owns a diner that is barely making it. She gets an offer but puts off signing it. In the meantime, Shane Grant comes in her diner and is intrigued. He offers her a ride home but before he takes her home he parks his motor cycle and seduces her. Then he starts sending her beautiful bras and panties. this story gets complicated as he has her calling him Dax and mostly just sleeping with her. He is almost ready to tell her who he is when she finds out on her own. She is rightfully furious and tells him off. I really like how Shane gets together with the guy who made the offer and talks to him why it wasn't fair. Shane really is a good guy who knows most women just want him for his money and while he knows Jessie isn't like that, he is taking it very slow.. I loved it

I got this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review

An empty nester, (Jessie) over forty plus mother, is trying to keep her head above water and has found life being lonely after the twins leave for college. Working in her diner has been her life since her divorce, until one evening near closing time, an alpha edge biker (Dax/Shane) comes in for coffee. Their instant attraction has sparks flying and Dax/Shane finds Jessie to be the sexiest woman he ever been attracted to. A simple ride on his bike, two simple rules, and some lies, has both of them trying to figure out who or what to trust going forward. Add their best friends and coworkers to their evolving lives, has them questioning their choices. They both soon realize, life after forty can be fun and exciting. Fantastic book with lots of spice!

Finally Mine is a steamy story about an over 40 single mom struggling with a failing business and the threat of being bought out at bargain basement prices. Dax (Shane) is looking for a release as he’s working through his own acquisition… He had no idea what he was getting into when he met Jessie… what was supposed to be one night turned into so much more… almost to be lost because of a lie… enjoyed these four women who are there for each other and challenge each other yo take a risk… will Brittany be next?

I really enjoy reading about some more mature women 40+ and also those that aren't perfect but more real. A real fairy-tale type story with great chemistry and sizzle.

Single mother Jessie has just seen her twins go off to college. As she continues to run her failing diner, Rosie's, a sexy biker comes in while she is hosting her friends night. The friends can see the biker's interest in her and encourage her to take a chance with him. As Dax and Jessie explore their chemistry life gets complicated. This is another great story in this series about a couple finding love later in life. Read an ARC for an honest review.

Elena Aitken does a superb job with this second story in the Finally series. Finally Mine is a love story between two strangers, Jessie and Shane. I couldn't put the book down and had to read it all in one sitting.

The trust that Jessie has for Shane is unbelievable. She doesn't know anything about Shane but she goes with him without any reservations. And Shane will do anything for Jessie to make her happy.

Let me start by saying that there aren't enough books featuring mature women so this was quite refreshing!
Jess is a single mom whose kids just left for college and who struggles business wise. Dax/Shane is a rough biker who might providde her with the kind of excitement she lacks... until he doesn't. Their chemistry is great and the s3x is hot!!!!! (Thanks for that!) Finally mine is a beautiful story about second chances in life that will make you turn the pages. I absolutely loved it!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book that I received from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I like that this series is about older couples. Shane is a very rich man, the owner of a business software company. He is very jaded, women don’t see him, they see his money and what they could do with it. After divorce from the wife who only wanted his money, he has poured his energies into his business, just occasional no-strings hook-ups. Having once been very ill because of overwork he relaxes by riding his prize motor bike. One night, after a bike ride he stops for a cup of coffee at a small diner on the edge of town, and meets Jessie, the owner, and there is an immediate attraction between them.

Jessie is a middle-aged mum of twins, who she has just taken to college, she is feeling sad and lonely. She has owned the diner for ten years, since her divorce; but she is aware that developers are after the land, many of the shops and offices in the area have already closed. She is in turmoil, knowing she will eventually be forced to sell, and she has no idea what she will do then. When Shane comes in to the diner her friends are there with her for an evening together. They encourage her to go out with him, and enjoy herself for once!

Shane tells her his name is Dax, his middle name, to avoid her knowing her is rich, and she believes he is a second rate salesman. There is a spark between them, and soon they are together almost every day, he calls at the diner just before closing, and they set off on his bike. Dax admits to himself that he has fallen in love with her, and needs to be honest about who he is. Of course, there is a sting in the tail, other events in her life are moving along, and she finds out about him before he gets the opportunity to explain. It takes a lot of effort on his part, with the help of her friends, to sort it all out and win her back.

A pleasant, gentle story, worth reading.

Jessie and Shane’s (Dax) story was another great book by Elena Aitken!

Jessie finds herself single, an empty nester after her children go off to college, and running a struggling business, when she receives an offer for a ride with a sexy stranger. Her friends give her the push she needs to go on that ride on the back of his bike, and nothing is the same from there.

I really enjoyed Finally Mine! The fact that the characters are in their 40s, not old by any means, but deserving of love like anyone else. Even if it is the second time around and a little later on than expected.

They didn’t have an easy trip to their HEA, but Elena makes things worth the wait in the end.

The story of opposites, great characters.  Jessie's twins have just left home for college.  She bought a diner following her divorce ten year earlier to provide for a future, work and income but the area is running down and business is falling off as properties are being sold off for redevelopment.  An offer is made on hers but she is holding off, being a mother and employer is a priority.Shane, aka Dax, is wealthy and successful, but dealing with the stress of a takeover destresses by riding his motorcycle and visits the diner.  Tired of women seeing him as a cash card, now are one night stands, but finds Jessie interesting and keeps his identity secret. As their relationship develops so do feelings on both sides, but secrets and lies have consequences which come out when Jessie had finally agreed to sell her property.

Elena Aitken is a brilliant author who wries amazing stories. She always captivates me with the world's she creates. She is one of my top go to authors.

In Finally Mine we meet Jesse and Shane aka Dax. Jesse and Shane have an undeniable chemistry about them. Their journey is a relatable and realistic journey.

I enjoyed everything about Finally Mine. I laughed and had heart-warming moments. I found myself captivated with Jesse. Her struggles were very relatable. I couldn't put the book down. I felt as if I was a part of Jesse and Shane's world. The character's were deep and rich. The plot was easy to understand. I adored everything about Finally Mine, from the setting to the ending. I especially enjoyed that Finally Mine was a story based around 40+ adults. After all everyone deserves love.

As an ARC reader, this is my honest opinion. Ms. Aitken has done it again with an amazing story for all the hopefuls over 40. Overall quality of writing was really good. There wasn't any cheating or cliffhangers, but plenty of steam with a believable well-rounded storyline. All the characters were as well. The "Go For It" pact should resonate for all needing to broaden out. One can't get change unless you make change. Sometimes all it requires is putting one foot in front of the other. It can be scary, but often it is well worth it! This story has a D/s feel to it, but nothing over the top like 50 shades. "Hold On" and 'Let Go". You'll definitely enjoy the ride to the beginning of a very Happy Ever After and the surprises too. 🤓

Loved this story about a single mom, empty nester and the sexy biker who charms her. Jessie and Dax’s story felt real in a way that many other romantic stories about “older” leads miss. While Dax is hiding a important piece of his identity back, Finally Mine seems less like a Cinderella story and more like two mature people refusing to let themselves stay on their own side of the tracks. I love Jessie’s interactions with her group of friends…all at different stages of their lives…and their friendship. Gal, or bro, friendships in books, are my favorite stories!
Another great book from the talented Elena Aitken that will thrill fans, old and new.

I absolutely loved Finally Mine by Elena Aitken; it is an incredible love at first sight love story. It is the second book in her Finally series. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Elena Aitken showed that she is an amazing storyteller and has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Finally Mine, they feel like family! Finally Mine is an incredible love story, that filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, and I could not put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Elena Aitken always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Finally Mine is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that I have come to love and expect in a love story, Elena Aitken did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. My favorite part is how the title of the book is incorporated into the love story with a simple statement by Jessie. Finally Mine is about Shane “Dax” Grant, CEO of MultiTech Software and Jessie Bateman, owner of Rosie’s diner. Jessie has just returned from dropping off her twins, Sadie, and Lucas for their first semester of college. Dax is stressing over an upcoming merger that he is working on for his company. Shane begins taking nightly motorcycle to release the stress and stops at Rosie’s for coffee. When he first sees, Jessie he is immediately smitten. Jessie is meeting with her friends at the diner when Dax stops and invites her to go on a ride with him. Her friends encourage her with their new motto “go for it”. Jessie does not recognize Shane and he introduces himself as “Dax”. Only Britt knows Shane’s real identity since she is the CFO at MultiTech Software. As Jessie spends more time with Dax, on nightly motorcycle rides things change between them. I especially love the gifts of lingerie that Dax sends Jessie. Shane’s friend, Trent Thomas is buying up the properties near Rosie’s. Eventually, Jessie agrees to Trent’s offer to purchase Rosie’s. He is working out of an office at MultiTech Software. Even though you know how Shane’s real identity will be revealed, it was still a heartbreaking moment when it occurs. I love how Dax opens up to Jessie in the emotionally charged dialogue that transpires between the two of them, and how he explains the meaning of the name he used. My favorite part is the epilogue and how it goes above and beyond the happily ever after. I love all the things to Shane/Dax does for Jessie and her children, to help make Jessie’s life easier and help her dreams come true. I love Jessie’s relationship with her friends and how they always have one another’s backs and support one another. I love all the changes that Jessie agrees to so that she can have a life with Dax. I love the characters in Finally Mine, the characters feel like family best friends. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Finally Mine, who doesn’t love a love at first sight love story? Highly recommend this incredible love story.

Simple plot

Jessica is a divorced mother of twins who just left for college. She owns a diner that's failing, is broke and describes herself as chubby. She's so poor that although she can pay for college for two kids she can't afford a new waitress uniform that fits after gaining weight or new bras and panties. Shane is a billionaire and lies to her so she doesn't know he's rich because she wants her to like him and not his money. Her friends are successful but instead of ordering food when they visit the diner they drink coffee they don't seem to pay for and sneak in their own booze. So many missed opportunities to help her. Even Shane mostly just got coffee.

I wanted this to be a sweet story but it felt less than sweet. Her friends could have helped her but didn't. Shane could have helped her but didn't. On top of that when they start seeing each other they go to a pull off along the road to have sex on his motorcycle or the ground instead of going to her house. I get that for the first time but after weeks I wonder why she didn't feel used. It felt a little creepy. In the end everything was neatly wrapped up and downtrodden Cinderella got her prince.

Very smexy story about two people – from opposing sides of life – that just need a break in their lives. What a wonderful time to find each other!

Jessie is a single mom who just sent her twins off to college. She doesn’t know it yet but she’s at a crossroads in her life and has been ready (for years, apparently!) for something new and exciting. In walks “Dax”. Wow. Does he jump off the page! The two of them have a very rocky but smexy story and it was a fun ride to read. Watching Jessie go thru all the different stages of belief and disbelief with a new relationship was fun. And reading Dax’s changes – well, the word combustible comes to mind. Whew, was their journey hawt!

Fun, sexy read!

If you’re looking for a series centered around women over forty, you’re in the right place. This book is centered around Jessie, an overworked diner owner, and Shane, a sexy Harley rider. Shane is keeping a big secret from Jessie though. Will this be a game breaker ? No spoilers, so grab your copy and get ready to love all these wonderful characters.

I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
