Did I stay awake until 4:30 am to finish this book? Yes.
Do I regret it? I regret nothing.
Is Draco now tied with Dev for the top spot as my favorite of these men? Yes. And I didn’t think it was possible.
There is so much that happened within these chapters and the rollercoaster of emotions just doesn’t seem to want to stop. That ending has me second guessing things and predictions I thought I knew for sure, now I know that I knew nothing.
What I loved so much was how well fleshed our both Draco and Nora’s mental and emotional struggles are sifted through. Waking up after a yearlong coma and having to process all that’d happened within the group in that time has him feeling the most out of place within his team he’s ever been, and he really goes through it.
But then we get to see Nora and her journey, her depth, her traumas. She had me in tears more than once and my level of respect for this character has grown so much.
Possessive Draco is probably one of my new favorite things. Along with dirty talkin Draco cause let me tell you, that man was makin me blush. The way he can spin playful banter to spicy speak in like .02 seconds is talent.

Listen, y'all, I've been waiting on Drake and Nora's story since book 1. Yes, I'm crazy. No, I'm not sorry. 😂 When I say Greer DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. I mean it. This book jumped straight to the top of my "all time favorites" list and I'm pretty sure it'll just stay there.
This book saw more of the overall mystery unfold, broke my heart, WRECKED ME, then put me back together. It was the love story I had come to expect from a Conviction novel, yet was so, so different from anything we've seen in Greer's other books. Nora and Drake FOUGHT for their love, in a way that is so different from what we've seen in the other books. Their relationship and happily-ever-after didn't truly come until the very last chapter, and for the majority of the book I alternated between wanting to wrap Nora in love and affection, and shake some sense into her. She was her own worst enemy, with so much reason.
Drake is the quintessential growly-alphahole Greer writes so effortlessly and that I always fall head-over-heels for. 😂 He would have legitimately moved heaven and earth for Nora, and in a way he did. He fought all her demons, and showed her she was worthy of love, and moreover that HE loved her.
As usual, and as is on par with a Conviction novel, there was more than enough action, intrigue, and suspense to keep us invested, and while our couple gets their happily-ever-after, the Blackstone guys are thrown another curve ball by Phoenix and Mr. Meanwhile that is sure to leave readers dying for more and keep us on the edge of our seats eagerly awaiting the next installment in this series of utter perfection.
Requisite disclaimer that I'm on Greer's ARC team, but honestly guys, every word is from the bottom of my heart. These books are EVERYTHING and I highly recommend you pick up Escaping Conviction (book 1) if you haven't already, and come take a ride with the Blackstone boys. It'll be worth it, I promise.

This was an amazing read by Greer Rivers yet again! I think all the books in her Conviction Series are masterpiece in their genre. In Healing Conviction, Rivers rather have Nora and Drake fight through their traumas and their deeply emotionally draining pasts to actually embrace their love for each other. Overly protective and possessive Draco is certainly the man for the good-hearted, endearing Nora who hides her pain and self doubts under her sass and humor. He feels an intense need to climb behind the protective walls of Nora to embrace her in his arms forever. The dirty talking and the spicy bantering between the couple lead to smoking hot chemistry that made me swoon all day. One of the best parts of the book is that the Healing Conviction is not just a dramatic love story.
It has a great sub-plot and several intense action scenes that keep your heart racing and mind guessing. A definite one-click for me!

I cannot get enough of these Blackstone boys! Give me ALL the books, Greer!!
This one is going to be hard to do without spoilers, but I’m going to give it a try…
I’ll start with Nora. Quirky, fierce, tough…and hidden behind some pretty thick emotional walls. In this book, we finally find out why and I just wanted to give her a big hug and tell her she was loved! She takes care of everyone else and doesn’t ever get in too deep.
Draco. Steady, stable, and a man who wants it ALL. No flings. Give him your whole heart or he wants nothing at all.
If ever two people deserved their happily ever after, it’s these two! After all they’ve been through, both on their own and together, they need and deserve each other. Watching Draco slowly build trust with Nora and break down her walls was everything! ❤️
As far as the backstory goes - I have SO MANY theories! If you’ve finished this, message me so I can spill them all! As the team gets deeper into the trafficking ring, things get more and more complicated. I love how this part of the story has been built through the four books. It’s quite the tangled web at this point and I cannot wait to see how it all unravels!
This is the fourth book in the Conviction series. I do highly recommend reading the first three before picking up this one. The overall story will make more sense to you.

Let me tell you, Breaking Conviction (book 3) broke my heart and then wonderfully pieced it back together at the end. This book, Healing Conviction, has left me to piece my heart up by myself. I have been called out mentally and emotionally by this book and I’m not sure how to recover.
Nora and Drake are now my absolute favorite couple in the Conviction series. Nora is such a lovable character and in the previous books she has been there for everyone else. But in this book, she realizes, who will be there for her? I identify so much with Nora that it’s scary. Towards the end of the book Nora had me self reflecting on why I do certain things, and it was scary.
Nora and Drake are fleshed out so well as characters. Their emotional turmoil is heartbreaking and that says a lot about Greer’s writing abilities.
Drake has this fierce need to protect Nora and he feels like he is constantly failing. Couple that with his frustration surrounding his *circumstance* and the struggle to break down Nora’s walls. This man just doesn’t get a break. The way he can see right through Nora BS and constantly calls her on it is *chefs kiss*.
It’s just one thing after the other for Drake and Nora and the overarching story has me on the edge of my seat.
TDLR: This book is beautifully written. I got my heart torn out. Drake and Nora are the G.O.A.T. I very much enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read book 5!

Wow, wow, wow. This book was freakin amazing. I was sure Snake would be my favorite of the guys from this series, but Drake was on a whole other level. The character and relationship growth between Nora and Drake was so amazing to read, and I’m so glad we got to learn more about Nora’s past, as well as Drake’s. This has got to be my favorite couple in this series, and it’s not even finished yet. After meeting Drake and Nora in book 1, and seeing the chemistry they had, I was so excited to finally get to read their story, and it did not disappoint. This was probably this spiciest of the books so far, and Drake is definitely skilled in the art of dirty talking. Nora is a badass, punk pixie with a dark, traumatic past, and I really loved getting to learn more about her, and why she is the way she is with Drake in the beginning. Their relationship was all strong connections, steaming chemistry, and heartfelt moments, and I absolutely loved it. Aside from the relationship in this book, there was also an amazing plot, and story pace. The Conviction series is a series of interconnected standalones, so each book ends with a plot cliffhanger, but an HEA for the couple in the book. So, you do have to read them in order to understand the story fully. This book would be perfect for fans of…

Nora and Draco book was fenomenal.
I'm always smitten when I start reading book from this author and I read her slow to absorb her all good.
Nora is one charming and sassy woman who humor and bad ass attitude make her unique.
She hide so much from everyone and doesn't let her fasad down, but somehow Draco see her real side and little by little her wals crack.
Draco is literally caveman who have one strong possessive and protective instinct toward her.
He was blaming herself that he hadn't been able to save her a year ago, but now that he had a chance, he didn't even lose sight of her and literally was carried her everywhere.
The banter between them and the teasing make me to enjoy even more the book,the hot moments definitely kept me awake at night.
What can I say more the book was amazing and I was so drawn by her.

Greer Rivers has done it again… I’ve absolutely loved the books in the Conviction Series and I was so excited to finally get Nora and Drake’s story. As I’ve come to expect, Nora is a smart, complicated and strong FMC. It was great to see behind the masks she always wore to learn about the real her. And Drake… damn… he’s so fu€king sweet, genuine and determined to win his woman. I loved to watch it happen and can’t wait till the next book… Both for the next story and to get snippets of their future. Swoon…

Let’s just say I am now counting down the days until March! I discovered this series a few months back on TikTok and had read the first three already! I was blessed with an ARC and dove right in! I then went back and read all FOUR in a row in one weekend (Don’t judge it was worth it). Greer Rivers is a wonderful author! She has been dropping little details and hints for each couples story and the overall plot all along. I caught on to some things I missed the first time through and I feel even more invested.
I still feel strongly that Devil is my number one because I am also the type of person who likes a little pain with my pleasure. 😉 However, Draco and Nora’s story is a close second because it was extremely well written and emotional! They both have traumatic backgrounds/rough experiences they went through and to see them work through those things together was heart wrenching. You didn’t realize Nora’s happy colorful personality was a facade until Draco saw right through her and wouldn’t let her to that to herself anymore!
Greer Rivers does say these books are interconnected standalone stories but I will say at this point in the overarching plot of this series you would most likely be questioning things if you do not start with book one. But I promise you it’s worth it! Each book is a different “romance trope” and it amazes me that Greer can write each one so well! I received this as an ARC for my honest review. Draco and Nora are by far my favorite. Nora was the sidekick in the earlier books that you couldn't wait to hear her story. There is so much that I can identify myself with Nora. If you enjoy a great plot, humor, and spice then you will fall in love with is series. Definitely worth the read.

Since I first read Escaping Conviction I have been waiting for Draco and Noras story and I was not disappointed! I was privileged to receive and ARC in exchange for this review but would have written it anyway!
This book was perfection as was the couple. The story line was amazing too and flowed really nicely from the first three books. This book is labeled as a interconnected standalone but I highly recommend reading the other 3 books first to get all the back ground info and they are also fantastic books on their own!
Somethings I really appreciated about this book and others in the series was no filler miscommunication. The characters had issues and deep pasts but these were well thought out and worked through thoroughly.
I also adore the little symbols at the beginning of each chapter to represent whos POV the chapter is. These are in all the conviction books and represent something meaningful to each character and just add something special to the story.
The only thing I might have appreciated differently would be a bit more romance ect between the characters but thats just personal preference as I am a sucker for that!
Overall this was a fantastic book and I highly recommend it. If you are new to the series please remember to read the authors note first as there are intese themes in the story.

I fell in love with the characters. I have been watching these characters grow since the first book. Nora always had a special place in my heart, but with reading this story, I could see little bits and pieces of myself within her. That is when you know you have found an amazing series, characters, and author. Watching Nora and Draco/ Drake interact with one another was amazing. They are both a mixture of Bonnie and Clyde, Lucy and Ricky Ricardo. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. If I could give this book more than five stars, it deserves it. This book was everything and more that I wanted it to be and much-needed. I was feeling all the feels with this book. I can't wait till Atoning Conviction comes out on March 22, 2022.

In early 2021, I stumbled upon this new independent author named Greer Rivers on TikTok. She had one book recently released and another coming out soon. I love finding new authors and hers was listed as romantic suspense.
Smut with suspense seasoned with military heroes? Count me in. One-click that shit.
The Conviction series consists of interconnected standalones in which each couple gets a HEA.
Dearest readers, I was hooked immediately. Jaybird and Jules drew me in. Then Devil surprised me with how not-creepy his obsession with Ellie was. And then Snake went and helped Naomi escape her abusive fiance while quickly developing a sweet parental relationship with her daughter Thea.
Meanwhile, Nora is helping everyone out, but staying firmly on the sidelines. It’s obvious (to me, anyway) that she’s dealing with some pretty severe PTSD, but is just pushing on through because that’s what she does.

In usual suspense/Greer Rivers form, you have chapters from the villain’s perspective – and I have to say, this villain is the least infuriating of all of them thus far. I actually felt bad for her.
It’s a “simple” recon mission that sets up the main action for Draco and Nora.
Top Bun: Draco, Draco, Draco
I have been waiting for Draco since book one. Rivers does a great job setting him up as a mysterious character, providing enough tidbits to make you curious, but never so little that you forget about him. The man has been in a coma for a literal year. Two entire books went down while he was unconscious and I still wanted to know how he got his HEA.
As we’d expect, Draco comes with his own set of baggage, and a massive carry-on full of guilt for his role in Nora’s trauma from book one. He’s clearly in love with Nora way before anything happens between them – he may not *know* he’s in love with her, but he totally is.
The thing is, Nora is struggling with so much PTSD, and not just from the events in book one (although she’s also got a carry-on stuffed to the brim with guilt). She has a whole host of childhood trauma and she’s terrified of ever getting too close to someone.
But Draco… oh, Draco. He is so patient with her.
Draco knows her. He knows that if he pushes her too hard, she’ll bolt, but he knows that she needs to be pushed sometimes. He knows what all her facial expressions mean and he can tell which smiles are fake. He also knows she’s fiercely independent and needs to be able to do her own thing or she’ll feel suffocated.
Just as fiercely independent as Nora is, Draco is as fiercely protective of her and it’s just awesome to watch.
Fave Draco quote: “If you don’t trust me with everything, then how am I gonna know that you forgive me for getting kidnapped? For failing you so miserably before? How am I supposed to forgive myself if I don’t know you can?”
Bonus Fave: “You’re sexy when you commit crimes.”
The Meat: Feeling Empathy for the Villain
This is something we’ve talked about on the podcast – if we really hate a character, we’re inclined to make that our con, or the meat of our sandwich. But then we really think about it and we realize that… if we hate the character so much, it’s because they’re well-written. And then we feel conflicted.
So this time, the meat of my sandwich is actually that Greer Rivers managed to make me feel empathy for Gail. (Not Stefan though.)
In the first book, I did feel a bit of empathy for the villain because he was trying to help the good guys in his own way (and by that I mean, in a way that won’t get him caught). Did I think he was a coward? Yes. But I did feel a little bad for him because he didn’t realize what he was getting into and then he didn’t know how to get out of it.
In the second book, I didn’t feel empathy for the villain because I already knew he was a shithead from book one and I didn’t care that his backstory had some sadness in it.
In the third book, I felt no empathy whatsoever for that abusive asshole. I literally cheered outloud when (spoiler!!!) Naomi stabbed him in the neck with that gorgeous green high heel.
But Gail? Damn. I do feel bad for her. And she helped Draco and Nora.
I felt bad for the VILLAIN. Someone who was trafficking women! How dare you, Greer?!
Bottom Bun: Watching Nora Come Back to Life

Before Draco lost a year of his life to a coma, the Nora he knew was vibrant, complete with brightly dyed hair and colored contacts. When he woke up, she was shades of black and grey. Still her same gorgeous self, but the light in her was gone.
We saw it ourselves as readers. In the second book, her hair was black and she was generally charming and upbeat, but we saw some chinks in the armor during book three when she’s talking to Naomi.
I’ve said it on the podcast and I’m sure I’ll say it a hundred more times: I love a good character arc. Not all novels in the romance genre (or subgenre) feature a heroine with lessons to learn or a growth arc, but in my opinion all the best ones do.
Learning more about Nora’s backstory and the hurdles she needs to jump over in order to accept the fact that she’s in love with Draco is a pure delight to me. It’s one of my very favorite things to read a story about a woman with trauma who overcomes it and allows herself to love a worthy man.
I don’t– I don’t relate to it at all. That has nothing at all to do with it.
And also the way she and Draco work together on their mission is just… awesome. Forced proximity is never a bad trope in my book (zing!) and I loved their honest discussions when Draco finally started pushing instead of being patient.
Fave Nora quote (from her internal monologue): “Obviously I like you, you sexy, grumpy Viking we dream. I wish I could ride your longship to Valhalla and back again but I know my heart won’t survive the trip.”
Bonus Fave (also from internal monologue): “Brain, you are screwing things up. Chill out. Eat our waffle.”
(Also I wanted waffles so bad while reading this book. I should really have put this under the meat because I hate cleaning the waffle iron, so I never actually make waffles. Might be getting carryout this weekend.)

Would I Recommend This Book? Yes. Unabashedly. Of course. I always recommend this series is read in order though. Start at the beginning and go from there. While the HEAs are all standalones, the underlying narrative is continuous throughout the series. I think you’d be lost otherwise.
And of course, check your trigger warnings. Greer is great about listing them at the beginning.

Dearest readers, I was hooked immediately. Jaybird and Jules drew me in. Then Devil surprised me with how not-creepy his obsession with Ellie was. And then Snake went and helped Naomi escape her abusive fiance while quickly developing a sweet parental relationship with her daughter Thea.
Meanwhile, Nora is helping everyone out, but staying firmly on the sidelines. It’s obvious (to me, anyway) that she’s dealing with some pretty severe PTSD, but is just pushing on through because that’s what she does.

Greer Rivers has done it again! I’ve been anticipating Nora and Draco’s story for awhile now and she did not disappoint with these two. Healing Conviction is a beautiful story of learning to depend on yourself to heal the wounds of your past instead of depending on others to do it for you.
This book affected me on a personal level, and that just goes to show how strong of an author Greer truly is. The way that she wrote Nora’s struggles really made me reflect on my life. I realized that I’ve been depending on others to heal me because they were the ones that hurt me, but after reading HC, I know that it’s totally in my hands now.
Nora is an admirable character – totally quirky – but truly inspiring. The way that she transforms and learns to trust is not done easily, but it’s so worth it when she finally realizes that it’s okay to give yourself to people and that not everyone is out to hurt you. Her character growth is nothing short of empowering.
Draco. My poor man. He’s been through the ringer for this girl and watching his patience with her broke my heart because all he wanted to do was love her and for her to love him just as much. The way he was with her melted my heart, and that my friends is a man who is truly respectful of the woman he loves. Because he knew what she needed almost more than she did. And when she finally realizes it too, everything explodes in a bright purple flash of trust and surrender.
I still have as many questions now as I did at the end of the third book, and Greer does an amazing job at just that. She keeps you on your toes and keeps you coming back for more! And the smut babes is top tier. The camping shower scene…shew wee.
Healing Conviction is a romantic suspense with tropes such as one bed (or tent), grumpy/sunshine, touch her and (you know the rest), and forced proximity. It’s the 4th book in a series of connected standalones, but it makes the most sense when you read the books in order because of how the storylines play out! I highly recommend this series.

Nora and Drake - I’ve been waiting for their story since book 1! Drake was shot trying to protect Nora from traffickers, and spent a year in a coma, with Nora holding vigil by his side, while also helping the rest of the team with the case. Their story is emotional and raw. Drake knows he wants her, but she’s seemingly with someone else, so he stays back. But he’s not willing to waiting in the wings for long for her to see him. Nora is a master at masking herself - creating whatever persona she needs to in order to get what she needs, or wants, or to make others more comfortable. She never lets anyone in, never lets anyone see the real her, except Drake sees beyond her facade, and he loves the girl underneath. But Nora’s past has damaged her - she’s afraid to let anyone close, having been hurt deeply by family and love. And even though she seems to know that Drake wouldn’t do anything to hurt her, she can’t get past her demons and let him in.
As things continue to escalate in their case, Nora and Drake are sent off on the road together to find some missing women who could help. The forced proximity, hours in a vehicle, and even several nights camping in the woods, forces them to open up to each other and decide what they really want. Nora breaks your heart. Her flirty banter is sweet, sexy, and funny, but at times it’s also a mask she wears, and it breaks Drake’s heart when he realizes it. But Drake is persistent, and he is determined to make her his. As their situation intensifies, and their lives are at stake, we see the best of them - individually, and as a team, and it’s truly great. Their HEA is hard fought, but worth ever second.

I have been waiting for this book. Finally. This is the couple I have been rooting for since the beginning and Greer really delivered.
I love that although this couple only very briefly met, their connection was instantaneous and their chemistry was off the charts. Seeing glimpses of them together during the other books and getting to know Nora, you just kept rooting for them and hoping they would eventually be together.
Nora is portrayed as such a happy, strong and sassy woman, and this book showed that there was much more that she was hiding behind her tough exterior. Her and Draco just work together perfectly and I’m so happy that they were finally able to be together.

I cannot tell you how much I love Nora and Draco!! These two are amazing. Draco is the definition of and alpha he is so broody, growly, possessive and protective all rolled into the sexy AF package that you makes you want to jump his bones every chance you get. Nora is sassy, feisty and completely not what I was expecting which made me love her even more. Throw these two together and their chemistry is explosive. Both of them want one another but neither can man up and let their feelings out just sending out subtle hints or flirty comments. These two both blamed themselves for what happened to each other and Draco definitely felt like he needed to make up for not being able to protect Nora the first time around. I love the banter these two have it makes the read and their story so much more enjoyable you get to laugh right along with them. You feel the emotions they are feeling and you cant help but root for their HEA. These two are made for one another. These two are by far my favorite couple of the series so far and be prepared to have you feelings dragged out and put on full display. This entire series is so freaking amazing and I cannot wait for book 5. I am so happy that I have found this author this year she is definitely a

Greer River's books are phenomenal....you can't put them down! This one absolutely did not disappoint! The whole story keeps you intrigued, wondering what will happen next!
I love the featured couple of this book - Nora and Draco! Nora is a techie who has been introduced briefly in the other 3 books. She's smart and sassy and it was fun to really get to know her personality. She has a lot of past hurts and she hides most of that and puts on a different persona so that people don't catch on.
If you've read the series, Draco's is one that you have been waiting on. Draco is finally back and gets to live out the love story that I had been hoping for all along. Not without work though. Draco was so committed to learning his little pixies life and what makes her the way she is. He never stopped thinking about her needs or trying to figure out ways to make her comfortable. Like Draco tells Nora though he is an all or nothing guy, and he is patient with Nora until she can finally give him her all.

I have been waiting for Draco and Nora's story since they met way back in Book 1! And Greer certainly doesn't disappoint. Nora's dark past is finally revealed and I love how Drake helps her to find herself again while dealing with his own insecurities regarding getting back on his feet after his coma. As always, Greer deals with dark issues (this might be the darkest one yet) sensitively. There are also plenty of steamy scenes (of course), great action (especially an excellent sequence at the end) and more revelations about the overarching sex trafficking plot. Love this series and can't wait for more! The next guy is also someone whose story I've been waiting for! You get a sneak preview of it at the end of this book. ;)

I am obsessed with this series and Healing Conviction is by far my favorite! I didn't expect my love of Ellie and Dev to be rivaled so hard 😍
Nora is incredibly relatable with her fandom slang and references to LOTR and Harry Potter. I understood all of her lingo and I loved reading a character who is into those things but still mature. Her need to be a safe space for those around her is admirable, but she highlights the empaths in us have a need to be seen and take time for ourselves. Her story is one that broke me all over again.
Draco is the Viking we didn't know we needed in this series!! I've been DYING to know how his plotline turns out and we finally get a chance! His determination and loyalty to his team are endearing; he is by far my favorite Blackstone Boy. I appreciated the way he didn't wake from a coma remembering everything and he had a genuine changed outlook from it. His realistic view on handling Nora and her trauma (as well as his own) was by far one of my favorite aspects. I'm obsessed with all or nothing men 🥵
The relationship between him and Nora is believable and the character development between them and individually is 😙🤌 wonderful. I definitely could see their progress and I love the normalization of therapy and trauma. Greer has somehow surpassed all my high expectations and then some AGAIN

When I tell you I am OBSESSED with this book! Since each book is an inter-connected standalone, I have been waiting for the Drake/Nora story since the beginning, and boy oh boy did Greer deliver! This is easily my favorite book of my new favorite series. The spice is extremely well written and works well with the story. Even though each book is HEA-guaranteed, the story will absolutely keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Nora is a very likeable and relatable character and Drake is the big, strong Viking-like hero come to save her, but will she let him? I have been waiting so long for this story and Greer absolutely blew my expectations out of the water! Can't wait for the next one!

Healing Conviction may be my favorite in the series so far. This is book four in the series, but they are all standalone. You can read it by itself, but there is an over arcing storyline that you will miss if you do not read the others first. This is Nora and Draco’s story. Nora is the pixie-like, computer smart assistant to a main character from the first book in the series. She’s smart and independent so they others in the group don’t think of her as someone that needs help. Draco sees things differently. He sees the side that Nora hides from everyone. He wants to protect her but he failed once before and worries he won’t be strong enough. They go on a fact finding mission and end up camping alone in the woods (Forced proximity ❤️). Things get heated up and all ends in a HEA. There are still some unknowns in the storyline so there will be at least one other book to come.

This whole series has me addicted. Each book is a stand alone romance but they fit together wonderfully. We meet Nora and Drake in the first book. But there story doesn’t get to grow like their friends lives change.
He’s a protector of few words and smiles but Nora sparks something in him. Nora is the best friend we all love- the one to takes a situation and spins it on its heels. This story is full of fun flirtation and so much built up tension ! They both have to take something to get the happily ever after they want while continuing an investigation their BLACKSTONE Security team has been tasked with. They want to get answers and justice for victims and along the way. I love this series the books are full of suspense and steamy scenes.

❤️Draco and Nora❤️
I thought I knew Nora’s character from the previous books but having now read her story showed how much more there was to her, especially with her past and how it impacted her to be who she is now. She hid so much from everyone yet Drake saw through to the real her instantly and I loved how he patiently gave her the love and confidence to be herself.
Their chemistry was soooo hot and 100% built that anticipation from the get go. The way Draco was towards Nora gave all the hot Alpha vibes. And when others forgot about her or talked in a way that didn’t fully appreciate everything she had done for them, Draco would instantly call them out and he made it really clear to everyone how important and amazing she was.
What makes this series stand out compared to other books written about human trafficking is the in-depth investigative side of it as well as the recoveries of the survivors of trafficking. It doesn’t brush over their horrific experiences and certainly doesn’t make it an easy job for the BlackStone crew as they work on bring down the trafficking leaders.

Okay. I have been waiting for this book since I read “Escaping Convictions”(book 1)! I absolutely loved Draco and Nora’s story.
Nora has been a character that has fascinated me since book 1, and I am so glad we are fortunate to read her story and get to know more about this strong and sassy lady while also knowing more about everything she went thru.
Draco… ah Draco. Boy had me blushin! Like damnnn! He is definitely in my top 2 guys of this series!!!
Definitely a 5/5 for me! But then again this whole series is 5/5!

Nora is indomitable, it's Pixie who is a little broken and a lot hurt. Nora is colorful, sassy, no-nonsense, brilliant, daring, gentle, giving and brave, and Pixie is her best kept secret - but they are both so incredibly strong! Come on, don't tell me Nora is not everybody's favorite friend? She is for Jules, Snake, Naomi the guys and I wish she were mine, we thought we know her so well when there's so much more.
Drake is the epitome of a knight, that's all we know since he's been toppled in his last fight, and we also know he's damn lucky to have Nora in his corner. If you read this book, you'll find out he is loyal, strong, vulnerable, determined and so much more.
I love Greer's style, when you read her books you can actually see everything happening in your mind's eye and understand every feeling, feel every nuance. I also love that the books in the series can be read a a standalone if you want a love story, but the series as a whole is a heartrending story of greed, pain, betrayal and redemption.

December 21, 2021The Blackstone characters and world have been a great break from my typical YA bully books. Rivers continues to bring intense chemistry between her characters. She also does a wonderful job giving the reader raw, gritty, and determined characters who have been to hell and back. Draco and Nora are no different, and between their pasts, it is hard to see how they could trust anyone enough to have a relationship. However, the author does a great job creating a real journey that had me tearing up in multiple places as these two learn to love unconditionally and with no hidden agenda.
