“Happy Accident” gave me a glimpse into why Ms. Kitt is so popular. She does tell a good story and isn’t afraid of pushing conventional boundaries. I also think her niche is storytelling from a first person point of view; the problems I had with “A Different Angle”—the only other novella of hers that I read—were absent in this story. Likewise, Ms. Kitt isn’t afraid of defying the traditional construct of a “happily ever after” for a more realistic view on the paths people take after their affairs.

In this story, Sabrina is a thirty-something teacher who remains, at heart, a fangirl. She attends the concert of one of her favorite bands and ends up literally crashing into the lead singer. Readers are taken along a brief ride detailing what life is like in the arms of a celebrity. The sex is amazingly hot and the chemistry between Sabrina and Rob absolutely sizzles. For what I came to read, I was not disappointed.

Sabrina and her friend Katie are late for the Scratch show they are banging at a door when it suddenly opens and hit Sabrina in the head. Surprise surprise its two members of the band. Score back stage passes meeting the band a dream come true for these two. Rob Burnnet and Sabrina sneak away to see a blues show and even get to sing on stage. This time Rob is star struck. They go back to Sabrinas house makeout have sex.

This was a so-so mf quickie. Sabrina, a 34-year old teacher meets Rob, the lead singer of Scratch after getting hurt before concert and they go to an after-hours club and get more connected.
