What started my foray into the world of home schooling/education long before I had any children. And cemented the idea that there was huge short and long term benefits in development in all areas when doing so

Basic format for writing a curriculum for home schooling including sample curriculum. It is very creative and useful. The book is pretty basic in quality with no high quality photos but the words are useful and down to earth. I liked its genuineness.

Lots of research, facts and figures about education at home in the UK. There are useful references, too, but the whole book is a bit dry: one to be dipped into rather than read straight through. Still, it's encouraging to see what can be learned by children and teenagers at home even when no teaching takes place.
