As bedtime nears, the child looks forward to the next day’s celebrations—costumes, treats, decorations, and family gatherings. The vibrant rhythm and colorful images create a warm, excited atmosphere that captures the joyful spirit children feel on the eve of a special holiday.
The strength of this piece lies in its simplicity and relatability. Berrios captures a universal childhood moment: the excitement of waiting.
