I enjoyed this one STERLING I NEED HIM!! now I'm not a huge kids with others but I enjoyed this one. Since the bio dad is a evil sob.
Aubrey and Sterling were best friends back in the day but only friends, they split when Aubrey found out she was prego and Sterling poured out his heart that made Aubrey scared because she wasn't good enough and wanted to give her kids a chance with the baby daddy. So she left.. 8 years passed and she knew she choose wrong since her ex husband was a asshole and now is trying harder to make her life a living he'll and take their daughters away. Enter Sterling and he doesn't waste time making her his number 1. Making sure her ex doesn't bully her also he was fantastic with her twin girls. I loved even if they were full ahead they kept their relationship a secert until the girls got to know him. Which was a great move.
We see tons of drama because of the ex and this doesn't slow down Sterling nope he's making sure shes good and taken care of. The spice was good dirty talking sob and he loves to eat that kitty. We get a glimpse of her best friend and Sterling buddy. I would so wanna read there's.

Protecting Her Honor by C.C. Monroe was a sizzling hot best friends to lovers second chance romance. Sterling is alpha possessiveness and protectiveness hotness overload. Audrey was a sweet and strong heroine who pulled at my heart strings. Together they were magical and explosive.
Audrey had to marry Baines just after high school because she was pregnant with their girls. But soon Baines showed his true colour. His political ambition exposed how cruel and abusive he is. Audrey divorced him but he is not ready to let her or her girls go peacefully. Audrey's best friend and police officee Sterling had to step in at a particular point and he is determined to make her his own. Because he never stopped loving her.

I wanted to know where was Sterling while she was in trouble and pain or after she was divorced. They live in a small town and everyone knows her husband is a vile person. And from there..it was full throttle. It progressed in break neck speed and the couple picked up from where they left and I didn't get a chance to feel the connection forming. I loved how alpha Sterling was. Really bossy and crazy possessive and all around hot. Audrey did try to slow them down as her life is going through so much but she had to Surrender in face of his intensity. She is strong and resilient and fierce for her girls.I loved the girls and the interactions between them and Sterling. Instant swoon effect. It was also super sexy. Dirty talk, dirty scenes..the author went all out. I am so happy that Audrey and Sterling got a chance to be together after so many suffering and obstacles.

I loved Audrey and Sterling with my entire heart.
Audrey was such a phenomenal mother, but she was such a strong woman. I admire her so much. And watching her find herself again was everything.
Sterling, Sterling, Sterling.... Can I have you? CC can really write a man who knows how to lay it down and protect you.
Another 5 star easy.

This is a review I struggle to write because I adore CC. I’ve been a fan of hers for quite some time but I’m also one of her queens who has seen her struggles and her wins. I have read every single one of her books so I know what she is capable of.
I go into this saying CC is a talented author. Kate Beckett has to hands down one of the most soul crushing books to read and it took a lot out of her to write. So I know what she can do.
I struggle with Sterling and Audrey. I felt like this book was a tv show I started mid season and missed the back story that the first half of the season would help me understand better if I went back to watch it.
From the start it’s off to the races immediately with them. Sterling is there to save the day and Audrey accepts it. They were best friends who have been separated for years. This is where some of my struggle is as well. I’m all for the instalove train but this was almost too much for me to digest.
I honestly feel that if we could have had a few chapters of them as children then teenagers it would help me personally see what that connect is that is tethering them together so strongly.
Once I got past 50% of the book it went better for me. I honestly hate that I’m even writing this because like I said I love CC! I know that I can’t expect all of her books to be my favorites so please don’t let this review stop you from reading her other books or this one. CC is a strong Queen so give her a chance!

Right from the start, I knew this story is going to be amazing. And it was and more! I finished it in just one sitting because I couldn't stop reading his and Audrey's story. So these two were best friends when they were young. When Audrey ended up pregnant, Sterling finally admitted his feelings. But she left and married the father of her children.
Now 8 years later, Sterling and his colleague showed up at her doorstep with a search warrant that's orchestrated by her ex-husband. Right from then, Sterling knew he's never going to let Audrey and her girls go without his love and protection.
This guy! I absolutely loved him. He's an alpha through and through. He's so protective but he loves hard. I loved how he treats Audrey and her girls. He was immediately taken by the girls. I’ve read a few books from this publishing company now and they tend to be a bit hit or miss for me! I’m not sure why because I’m a big fan of the author who created this publishing company lol! I was intrigued by this book once I saw the cover because it drew me to the book! After reading, I can say that I liked this book, but some things held me back from loving it! There was a lot of romance in this book and I love lots of romance in the books I read, but I felt like the relationship between the two main characters happened way too fast and then progressed very quickly! The romance did allow for quite a few very steamy scenes though! There was also a bit of action and suspense in the plot, which added to the plot and made me enjoy it more! The action and suspense also went in a bit of a different direction to what I was expecting! The characters were also great and added a lot to he development of the plot! Audrey was the main female character, and in this book she just wanted the best for her twin daughters and she wanted them to be safe! I liked Audrey in this book and I felt like she stepped up and she got a secure job and surrounded her daughters and herself with people who really loved them! Sterling was the main male character and love interest of Audrey! Sterling worked as a cop in cop book, which meant he worked long hours and Sterling was also very protective of Audrey and her daughters and it was easy to see how much they meant to him! He was also very possessive of Audrey, which annoyed me a little because of the insta-love aspect of the plot! I felt he was too possessive as well! I loved that this book was written from both Audrey and Sterling’s point of views! I was expecting it to be because the synopsis gives the impression that it was going to be! It helped me connect more with both characters and see how they felt about about each other! It allowed for a few more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as Audrey and Sterling did go through some situations by themselves and they didn’t spend every second of the plot together! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything in the plot was wrapped up and all the questions raised were answered! This was my first read from this author and I'm intrigued to check out her other books and read more from her! I also can't wait to read more books from this publishing company! Creo que logra su cometido de entretener al lector, pero fácilmente podria haber sido un romance sin niños involucrados. Dado que estos no aportan casi nada en la trama, más que meros accesorios y para traer el conflicto.

Protecting Her Honor gave me all the feels as Sterling’s alpha ways, eight-pack abs, dirty talk, and heart of gold made me swoon! Did I forget to mention how hot he looks in his police uniform? You’re welcome! Sterling and Audrey are the perfect combination of all that’s honest and good in the world. Then you add in her sweet twin daughters and my heart was stolen. Audrey is vulnerable, but stronger than she gives herself credit for. She just needs a partner who will remind her of her worth and Sterling does that and more in spades. Unfortunately, she has a crazy ex-husband that made me want to stab him in the eyes with a fork! You will want to read this book for the flowers, the SUV, the headphones, Libby’s question, the FaceTime and the math test alone. If I haven’t convinced you yet to read this book, listen up. Sterling made me pregnant a million times while reading this book and I want to be his girl forever.

Okay so this is one of those books where you have no idea why you keep reading but you do. Audrey has twin girls and an abusive ex husband. She gets a knock at her door and who is there? Her ex best friend who confessed his love the day before her wedding day and she walked away from him. They haven’t spoken in 8 years. The way Sterling (the ex best friend) acts is so bizarre. He literally starts calling her “baby” RIGHT AWAY and saying the she is his. His girl, his woman, his everything. Like wtf? So fast and so full force. The men in this book are very possessive and passionate. The book is about them getting together and dealing with her ex husband. There’s some decent drama and the sex is really hot but that is it. The amount of times this man calls her “baby” was annoying as hell. Like I said I couldn’t stop reading it so that says something, I guess 🤷🏻♀️

I got this book solely based on the hashtag in my subject line. Did my brain say to itself “Moms Who Read” no because my brain isn’t a wholesome and respectable place to be.
If you’re asking yourself if this book is a ‘how to guide’ for single moms getting themselves out of a toxic or abusive relationship, the answer is not technically but it absolutely should be reclassified as such.
Protecting Her Honor isn’t a sweet rambling second chance romance, this one was so hot my metaphorical glasses steamed up. Great read.

😭 MY HEART, Immediately from the beginning Sterling OWNED me and all throughout the book I LOVED LOVED LOVED how he was with his women 😫 and then Audrey, #girlcrush am I RIGHT?!? She's everything and never put herself first because she loves her girls that much 🥺 they both own me, talk about MOMMY and DADDY
All throughout the book you could see Sterling slowly helping Audrey through the trauma her ex put her through. But now once did you ever see him ever get mad or yell at her. He was so understanding 😫 and hes the sweetest man ever. I want 😫

Almost DNF’d
I love CC Monroe, but I really struggled with this one. Shortly after I started ready it, I already felt like I missed half the book. It was like I jumped in at the halfway point without reading the backstory. There wasn’t a whole lot of character development. The amount of times Sterling called Audrey “baby” was very cringey for me. This was the first book I almost DNF’d but I powered through. I wasn’t able to consistently ready until about 80% in. This just wasn’t an easy read for me.

Great read! Lots of spice but also a great storyline! Sterling and Audrey reconnect after years of not seeing each other. In high school, they were best friends. They did everything together until they didn't.
A series of unfortunate events brings Sterling now a local police officer into Audrey's life that includes her twin daughters and a horrible ex-husband who can't stand to see them reconnecting.

Somewhat between 3 - 4 stars.
Sterling is incredibly possessive and protecting and I loved every single second of it. The pacing is fast, of course in this genre, and the spice is really good.
I know why the evil-ex-husband has to be exactly that but he was so out of character and didn’t feel like a real person - that could have been a bit more realistic or better written. Nonetheless, I had all the feels and sterling holds a special place in my heart.

Protect what's yours at all costs!
From the very first page I was hooked. I loved Sterling and his alpha tendencies, his fierce protectiveness of his girls and how he had no problem going to bat against Blaine. This book reads as a very sweet romance, but man does the other turn up the temperature for us! It has everything you want in a good read - childhood friends, drama, alpha male that is also sweet as can be, and great googily moogily the adult times are on point!

Omg this one is definitely in my top 5 reads for this month… the love the passion the loyalty the spice …. I could go on… and on but I’ll just say GO READ THIS BOOK NOW…. I love single parent books and I LOVE how much Sterling was instantly wrapped around Tessa and Lily.s pinky fingers was adorable… his alpha protectiveness to keep them all safe was sooooooooo hawwwwwtttttt

My first C.C. Monroe book and I have to say WOW
I loved it. The storytelling was flawless and kept me entertained and I loved the banter between the main characters and her children as well!!
Only thing that stop me from giving it a five was how fast their relationship moved after she had been through her previous relationship trauma. Still an amazing book to read!

The story was great! Sure a little Cheesy but it was such a sweet story you just couldn't put it down. The MMC comes straight out the gate claiming territory and I'm here for it!!!

The one thing you need to know about Ms Monroe is she sure knows how to write the best Heroes and Heroines.. Ooh wee Sterling will melt the panties off a girl with one look, Audrey is just so damn awesome. This is definitely a book that needs reading.

Another one of CC Monroe's greatest reads! I loved this book. Something about Sterling that would make ANY woman SWOON, And CC was able to do just that!! I started reading and I couldn't put it down! It was 1 of my favorite reads so far!

A solid, short, spicy & fast paced romance, LOVED. This is for sure a book for alpha hero lovers filled with great spice and sweet moments. I really like C.C’s writing and let me tell you those spice scenes had me SWEATING 🥵. Can’t wait to read more from her in the future ❤️
