Picking up right where Drilled ended, Grind starts with Kayla and Dave having to figure out their new normal. Their new everything essentially, as all that they owned—except for the clothes on their backs and themselves—was burned beyond recognition in a fast moving, totally devastating brush fire.

And it totally devastated not only their land and property and Kayla’s business, but devastated their lives and livelihood. And left them wondering just how they’re going to rise from the ashes. And left them wondering if their bond with the rest of the Powertools was going to be strong enough to see them through.

Grind is a gritty, sexy, smart story about just how fickle Fate can be—and just how challenging life can be when you thought you had everything you ever wanted in life, love, happiness. And then Fate crashes the party. I loved how the Powertools gang rallied around Kayla and Dave, and showed just how strong their bond is regardless of time or distance. Or when acting like a royal bitch. I love this crew and am loving this look into what happens after their happily-ever-after. Now that the gang will be together again, I’m dying for more and cannot wait until Pound releases next! ~ Missy, 5 stars

This story picks up right where Drilled left off and took the characters and myself on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The author quickly drew me in to the story and kept me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next. While I think this book can be read as a stand-alone, I suggest reading this series from the beginning to fully appreciate the overall story. It’s a great series and well worth reading.

4.5 🌟... I have loved the Powertools since that first book years ago. They are emotional, steamy, fun, and full of love and friendship. As time progresses, the polyamorous family unit they have created in this crew of nine only strengthens.

Lately, they've been challenged in ways they've never before experienced. Ways that threaten to break their bonds. In this installment, Kayla and Dave return home to deal with the devastation that is now their reality. Devon, Neil, and James are there to offer their support and loving arms, as are the rest of the crew even though they do become separated. Big decisions are made, tempers flair, a lot of tears are shed (by the characters and this reader!), and anxieties spike but always there and never wavering is the love and friendship the Powertools crew share - in many, many beautiful and steamy ways. 💜🔥💜💔💜🌟💜👏💜♨

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I didn’t have the pleasure of reading Drilled but that didn’t take away from this story. It picks up right as Kayla and Dave’s world is destroyed due to a fire. The dynamic between Kayla and Dave and the rest of the crew is going to be put to the test during this very trying time. Loved the steamy scenes between everyone in this story. Great read and I can’t wait to read more from this crew.

***4 Stars***

Drilled definitely ended on a somber note and had me wondering just where things were headed with the crew and I have to say, things got rough in this one in more ways than one with the ‘divide’ as well as all that happened with fire, but I really liked how everyone worked through the various issues and came out better for it on the other side. This isn’t to say that there aren’t a few things still needing to be ironed out, but I’m loving how things are going thus far.

I’ve probably said this before, but I haven’t read all the original Powertools books, but even without reading them, I’m really enjoying these “What happens after the HEA”, it’s be fun seeing them all settled in their relationships and just dealing with whatever life tosses at them. My one issue doesn’t have to do with all that happens in the book, it’s more about the description for the book. IMHO it doesn’t really match up for me, but outside of that, this was a great addition to the Powertools world and I’m looking forward to what is coming up next!

Kayla and her husband Dave are devastated to lose everything they've built over the years to a raging fire. She is unsure if or how they'll recover..

Thankfully she has her husband and their crew to support them both.

"Her life was a hot mess. But 5hat didn't meant wasn't still amazing,  and that she couldn't transform it into something even more amazing than it had been if she kept her husband and her friends close. They could do this. They always had before and she didn't see that changing any time soon."

There were a lot of people/relationships to keep straight and remember who's who.

I love the connection the Powertools and Hot Rod crews all have together, both in and out of bed.  They proved their love and loyalty through the good times and the tough times.

Man, how i love revisiting this crew! Their lives are changing fast especially Kayla and Dave. Her resort set on top of a mountain has sucumed to Mother Nature with a devistaing blow. Of all the crew, she is the most zen but this might just break her. With the unyielding support of the crew, can she accept what needs to happen for all their futures? I adored this one. Kayla has been an inspiration for centeredness. She exudes confidence in her being. This tragedy shows she has a different side. One that has doubt and unsuredness. I love her more for that. Dave is wonderful in his support of his wife. He never walks away and uses her motivation when he was hurt to lift her again.

Grind by Jayne Rylon has us back with the original Powertools Crew, and it is always SO GOOD when we're with them!

This one has a heck of a lot of FEELS packed in tight, and really showcased the power of friendship and the power of love and how important it is to keep working at both. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey, but knew I could rely on the crew to be there to catch me, though they have A LOT on their respective plates.

I had so many feelings for Kayla and just wanted to give her the biggest hug! And same goes for Dave! And the entire crew of course!

And I adored seeing Devon be so sassy! I've always adored her as a character and love seeing her evolution.

The chemistry remains combustible, and the acrobatics and gymnastics admirable! The writing is shmekshay and you'll definitely always be hungry for more!

If you're looking for a delicious little escape with the Powertools crew, be sure to sink your teeth into Grind!

P. S. I cannot wait to read Pound!!!

I was so glad to get this follow on book to Drilled since it ended with the Power Tools divided geographically and with news of a wildfire wiping out Kayla's beloved Bare Natural Resort. And yes, it's even worse! the land cannot be rebuilt on for years! So sad to see the naturally calm Kayla distraught. Finally, after comforting from her beast of a man Dave and then joined by Devon, Neil, and James, they decide to return to Middletown where the rest of the crew is working. There she can to consult with her brother, with whom she has a shaky relationship and also with Mike, always the foreman, and Joe and his Uncle Tom who has land they might buy. Screwed, Drilled, and Grind seem to be about overcoming troubles and handling new opportunities in the Power Tools' 'happy ever after.' Leaves me looking forward to POUND to see how their growth into multiple crews, Kate's late-life baby, and planning and building a new spa and resort turns out. For sure other poly groups will be incorporated bringing new challenges and new issues for them to creatively solve.

Kayla's world is ruined. Her business is destroyed and she isn't handling the next phase well. Can Kayla accept that something better can come from destruction?
Grind is the latest addition to Jayne Rylon's Powertools The Original Crew Returns series. I enjoyed returning to this world and couldn't wait to see what Ms. Rylon had in store for us. While this story can be read as a stand alone it is best having read the previous book at least as this story starts where it ended. I felt so bad for Kayla. She has lost her dream. She is struggling to accept the loss even as her tribe moves in to give her support. But is accepting it making her someone less than? I love seeing Kayla claw her way out of depression and into acceptance. She is used to being strong but this loss is stripping her of who she thought she is. This story takes us on an emotional rollercoaster as Kayla and her friends find a new normal and maybe a different kind of happiness.

Grind is a fantastic addition to the Powertools: The Original Crew Returns series. If you are a fan you aren't going to want to miss it. If you have not read this series before, please do not start here. Go back to the first book. Each book builds on the next; it's beautiful the way Jayne Rylon builds this world book by book and that keeps it in one of my top favourite long running series spots.

Grind is Kayla and Dave’s story after a terrible bushfire razes Kayla’s Bare Natural Resort. Be ready for a huge amount of tension and a lot of deep breathing to get over the stressful moments. They come thick and fast and Kayla and Dave's relationship with each other and the rest of the Powertools crew is severely tested.

I loved, loved, loved catching up with group of people who I have grown to know so well. It was heart breaking but also life affirming by the end and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next installment - Pound!

Life has taken on some major changes for the Crew and in this newest installment has Kayla and Dave in the hot seat with Grind.

Change is happening all around the crew and as they are trying to adapt they seem to be getting hit harder. A horrible fire has claimed Kayla’s beloved Bare Natural Resort as its own, learning herself and Dave without a home. Kayla is not herself while dealing with the loss of her home and dream, the sting of Crew members away in Middletown has hit her hard. Kayla is the definition of calm and this series of events is on the verge of breaking this peaceful woman. Is their bond stretched too thin? Can the crew help heal some of these wounds? Is it time for a change? Is the Grind of it all too much.

Kayla and Dave are my favorites of the crew. Kayla is so centered and usually so at peace with herself. It was very hard to see her struggling the way she did. It just goes to prove that even the strongest, what seem like most centered people can even lose it. Dave is always so supportive and caring. His willingness is always swoon worthy. Kayla rides a frantic emotional ride within the pages of Grind. With the help of her devoted husband and an unwavering bond of her people, the entire crew takes another step into the next chapter of their lives.

Yes! The Power Tools are back!!!
Unfortunately we start off where the last books ends off. Kayla, her husband Dave a half the crew need to leave Middletown immediately after finding out their mountain resort has caught fire thanks to a freak accident caused by nature. When they arrive they find next to nothing. The resort is gone along with many years of memories, almost everything they owned, and so many precious things that money can not replace. Devon and her husbands invite them to stay with them till they can get things worked out. The insurance company says it will take days to even get someone to come to their property to even start the paperwork. So back to Middletown they all go to be with the rest of the crew. Kayla's depression is getting bad, as well as her snapping at her friends.
In true Power Tool fashion, they all bond together, in their VERY naughty ways, to get Kayla out of her head.
Get ready for another wild ride from Jayne Rylon! Bring on the next story!

Kayla's dream, home and Bare Natural naturist resort goes up in flames and the Powertools crew is split in two places. With insurance delays preventing them beginning work rebuilding Bare Natural, Dave and Kayla, Demon, Neil and James head back to Middletown to help Mike, Kate, Joe and Morgan.

Kayla is devastated and emotionally all over the place as she must face the various options left to her after the fire.

They have worked with each other and loved each other for years. The crew shows how much they love and support each other not only in their poly bedroom but by being supportive when part of their group is going through a crisis.

If you enjoy polyamourous love stories, the Powertools enduring romance will steam up your sheets and touch your heart strings.

This is the 3rd book in the Powertools: The Original Crew Returns series. It picks up where Drilled ended.

A devastating wildfire has destroyed Dave and Kayla’s home and the business that Kayla has built up and owned for many years. With the love and support of Dave and the remaining crew (that hasn’t already relocated to Middletown), Kayla vows to rebuild. Is it possible, or did life throw them a wrench, as well as a lifeline?

While waiting for the insurance company’s assessment, Dave, Kayla, Neil, James and Devon decide to visit Middletown to help the rest of the crew with projects. Dave is worried about how Kayla is dealing with everything, and he thinks it may help for the entire crew to reconnect.

Decisions need to be made. What will Kayla do about the business? What should be done about the fact that the crew is separated into two groups/cities?

This is a great addition to the series, and I cannot wait for Book 4 - Pound!!

pol·y·am·o·rous /ˌpälēˈam(ə)rəs/ adjective

"intimacy and trust are essential to successful polyamorous relationships"

GRIND is book 3 in "Powertools: The Original Crew" series and honestly, I don't think it can be enjoyed w/out reading the series in order. GRIND picks up directly where DRILLED left off.

As always, this author handles polyamorous relationships with grace and sexiness and this book doesn't disappoint. It is a little heavier than the other stories as it deals with things changing (don't we all hate change) and aging and basic adulting things. Even with the heaviness, it is still sexy as all get out and a direct and to the point story.

I always enjoy this author's writing and recommend reading all of her books in order for a richer reading experience.

I love revisiting this crew. This book picks up where Drilled left off. This is the third book in the series. I read book 1 and 2 and I did a book review on each one. Screwed is book one. Drilled is the second one. I recommend reading the first two before reading this one. You will have more of understanding of what is happening. Their lives are changing fast especially Kayla and Dave. Her resort set on top of a mountain has succumbed to Mother Nature with a devastating blow. Her dream in ashes, and her heart and mind need to recover and figure it out. With the help of Dave, her husband, and Neil, James and Devon, she tries to come to terms with it. This book has a lot of emotion in it. Sadness, Love, Hope, Anger, and happiness. This book has some sexy scenes in it as per usual. Can Kayla accept that something better can come from destruction of her resort? Will she be willing to move to Middletown where the Hotrods and the Hotrides are at?

Third book in the Powertools crew, rather the comeback of the crew. I was so excited when I heard about the return of the crew, it is easy to get attatched to them. And this book is no different. This third book centers on Kayla and Dave. Kayla's resort has burned to the ground, her dream in ashes, and her heart and mind need to recover and figure it out. With the help of Dave, her husband, and Neil, James and Devon, she tries to come to terms with it. Not so easy, the news is not good. Now they are all together, the entire crew is back to "help" Kayla figure out what is next. The book was so great, it has everything. Sadness, anger, hope and happiness, and a lot of fun sexy times the crew is known for. Things are coming together at the end of the book except one of the crew is having some difficulty with what the others want for the future. Excited to read the next book.

Grind is the 3rd book in the Powertools Series. It picks up where Drilled had left off. Kayla rushes back home only to see that she has lost everything to the fire ravaging the area. As Kayla tries to come to grips with the loss, the Powertools gang rally around her to lift her spirits. Will Kayle decide to rebuild her company and home in the same area or will she decide to start fresh somewhere else? You'll have to read this to find out.

I found Grind to be an intense roller coaster. Ms. Rylon's ability to show us the true meaning of living in a poly relationship is on point. The scenes are graphic and exciting. I love the characters, and we learn a bit more about a few. I recommend this book and series to those 18+ due to the explicit scenes. Thank you Ms. Ryland for gifting me an e-ARC of this book. This was my honest opinion.

I am so happy to be back with the original crew. Although I hate to see Kayla’s dream getting ruined I love the way they all rally around each other and support one another. After the devastating loss Kayla & Dave suffered they take some time to go back and visit Mike, Joe, Morgan & Kate while they wait for the insurance company. While they are there Kayla talks to her sister in law and starts to realize that maybe her life isn’t as over as she thought it was. After bad news from the insurance company and a heart to heart with her brother she and Dave talk to the crew and decide that it is time to join Mike & Joe on the new journey they are taking. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. These stories always leaving me wanting more.

When a wildfire totally destroys Kayla’s livelihood she is devastated and don’t know how she is going to survive. With the love of Dave and their Powertools family, they will help her to overcome just another obstacle that the Powertools family will face together.

I love how much emotion and passion is in this story. I love how Dave is so understanding and compassionate, especially when he remembers how he was when he hurt and filled with so much despair. I love how he is so committed to being there for Kayla like she was there for him. And the Powertools, even though they had split to do their own things, I love how they came together for Kayla and Dave. I also love how this story was a feel good reunion with the Powertools. This was a good feel good read!

This is the third book in the series. As the future of the Powertools is changing they take another hit which is where the previous book ended. My heart just bled for Kayla. It just had to be devastating for Kayla and Dave. There is a rainbow at the end for them and it made me so happy how things are playing out for the Powertools. While reading this one I could feel the emotions rolling of the characters. It's a big moment for them all. This book delivers on the heat that is known to happen between this group of friends. There is definitely fan yourself steam happening. I like this series because we revisit the gang, but also because it gives me depth along with the heat. I look forward to what is next for this crew.

Dave and Kayla are the focus for Grind, and they are as solid as ever. Trouble is, things are fraying at the seams for Kayla, and she can’t focus on anything but where she thinks things should be. Lucky for her, Dave, Neil, James, and Devon are around to keep her preoccupied. But this is something Kayla has to face and figure out on her own, within herself. The love and support she continually shuns is there for her once she sorts things out. Super sexy times outdoors and on a raft, because this is Kayla, and some wonderful coupledom and polyamorous times. Amidst the emotional turmoil, the sexiness keeps coming!

I love the crew and they are back together in this book. When Kayla's resort is burned to the ground, it's time to start over. It looks like the crew will be joined by the hot rods and hot rides gang. I can't wait for the last book to see everything they get into in Middletown.

The scenes are hot and of course the crew always has fun together. You don't have to read the hot rods and rides books to follow along. But it is great to catch up with them as well. You do need to have read the power tools books and the previous crew return books for all of the story to make sense. They are all great reads

Before starting this book I suggest you read "Drilled" first as this story picks up at the end of that book. Since the beginning of this "follow-up" series, the Crew has been pulled in different directions and on the verge of unraveling. In this addition Kayla's life goes up in flames and it will take all the Crews to help her. The ending of this book left me wanting "Pound" to come out immediately so I could find out what happens next! Luckily I am a patient person Ms. Rylon... I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book as well as purchasing a physical copy which I am voluntarily reviewing.

Another great solid text from miss Rylon.

This one follows Drilled and focuses a bit more on Kayla and the life changing crisis that she needs to face; her beloved resort went up in flames.
She'll need and will have all her crew's support and love to finally figure out what is best for her and her friends.
I just loved this book; sweet, loving and understanding characters, many highly emotional situations, and lotsa hot and steamy and sexy AF scenes.

I recommend reading Screwed and Drilled to get a better understanding of the group's dynamics.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and I chose to review it honestly.

We definitely start off on somewhat sad notes as the resort that Kayla built burned to the ground. I really felt for her, to have something that was her livelihood all gone.

As the rest of the crew and especially her husband Dave, keep her spirits up in very pleasurable ways, it still is in the back of her mind, will she just give up, start over, such a big decision, she is just overwhelmed

I read the story in one sitting, it was a great page-turner. There was a lot of angst, so much emotional turmoil but when the crew comes together there is nothing hotter.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Kayla wants to rebuild on the same land but will find out it will be at least 20 yrs before she can... she is devastated and Devon James and Neil wont let them go live in motel and insist on them living with them and boy do they cheer Kayla and Dave up power tools style .... Kayla decides to go visit Mike and Joe and the rest and there she finds out she can start over if she wants .... does she and what decisions do the power tools make together you will have to read to find out .I cant wait for the next book ...

When you thing the path in life you have taken is the only path to be on. Only to realize maybe we can take a different in life and be just as happy.
I loved that we get to see what happens from the cliffhanger of the previous book. This is the 3rd book in the series and I do recommend you read them in order.
Its great catching up with some of my favorite characters. The book shows the love between friends who have become family. There is always support with the group of family and friends. I love it. I was emotional with this so for me when I cry reading a book thats means I will love it that much more. I highly recommend this series.

If you read "Drilled", you know that at the end of the story the resort was under fire and panic had ensued. "Grind" starts off right from that moment and a heartbreaking one it is. Total destruction. Not only of the physical buildings/lands, but also the emotional devastation. But will the support of the crew give Dave and Kayla the strength needed to overcome this loss? Will the familiarity of love and family be enough to find a new path? Or will the decisions that need to be made just become too much?
