This is a textbook. I normally hate textbooks for their banality, boredom and basic information. However this is a great guide in and through events management. There is focus on urban regeneration, sustainability and the cost and consequences of the mega-events.

This is a well researched book and easily read. But it is not a dumbed down textbook. Instead it is a good guide through an emerging field.
