They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But for Chloe, life in "Sin City" has been all business without a hint of the adventure and naughtiness aluded to in that slogan. Until now! With Walker and Jo in town, Chloe's about to end her long dry spell and live her ultimate fantasy--a m?nage a trois with the two sexiest men she knows. As the three of them plunge into wild sexual exploration with passion and inventiveness, Chloe soon discovers what new heights of sensuality can be experienced when so many hands, lips and organs work together to drive her beyond the limits of ecstasy.
Despite a lingering fascination with Aqua Net and Camaros, Lillian Feisty has finally outgrown her wild youth and settled down to do what she has always dreamed of doing: writing romance novels.
Why Romance novels, you ask? Well, it all started when she was 14 and discovered Jane Austen. After reading Pride and Prejudice in one day, Lillian promptly decided each book she read thereafter would include a version of Mr. Darcy. She soon realized that the only place in the library where she was likely to find such a thing, was the section with well-worn paperbacks featuring beefy heroes and half-naked ladies displaying '80's hairdos and 19th century costumes. She read these "trashy book", as her grandmother used to call them, with an insatiable appetite. Once she had plowed through the library's collection, Lilli began writing her own romances. Her first story featured a hero with a striking resemblance to Jon Bon Jovi; of course, he drove a Camaro.
Although she spent the majority of her twenties working just long enough to pay for extended trips to Europe, Lilli also managed to earn a degree in Creative Arts and snag her very own hero. Although she continued to write, it was only when she turned 30 that Lilli realized she wasn't getting any younger, and it was time to get to work on that dream of writing romance novels for a living.
I know these type of works aren't often picked up based on how well written they are when it comes to anything other than the erotic scenes, but the overall writing of this short story is unfortunate enough to kill any type of interest in it. It starts out alright, but then the writing quickly devolves into a choppy and not well coordinated mesh of words. Perhaps it was just too short to flesh anything out, but from the get-go one bit of writing jumps to the other without a coherent tether, killing any kind of mood the author might be trying to put their readers in. Not worth the very little time it took to read.
I was familiar with the Spice Briefs series going into this and expected a very short story (buyer beware: think 5,000–15,000 words!), but since I had enjoyed Lilli Feisty’s work in the past (I loved her story, “The Whore”, from the Wasteland anthology) and this e-book was free (thank you Greater Phoenix Digital Library!), I decided to go for it. Boy am I glad it was free! The characters were good, the setting was good, and the sex was good but it was just too damn short. It basically felt like the prologue to a (hopefully) much longer story. The ending was left very open (sequel maybe?) and left me wondering “what in the heck just happened”? This format was just too short for this story. We weren’t given enough of an opportunity to get to know the characters, the cliffhanger at the end left me with more questions than answers, and Chloe’s response to the men’s departure at the end just seemed off. The sex was hot but not enough to make up for everything else. My advice: skip it and check out her older (and lengthier) other work!
For what it was (74 pages long) this was pretty good. Was waiting on one of my library requests to come off hold so picked this one up for a one-night hold-over read. Was surprisingly comprehensive for what its length and "depth." Only issue I really had was that the author introduced a plot twist possibility, when one wasn't really necessary, that made you want for resolution, or, dare I say, sequel, to finish that through. But, a minor nit.
This was definately not my sort of book. Firstly it was an erotic novel and secondly it was very short (27 pages). I borrowed this from my on-line library and therefore wasn't aware of how short it was or the erotic theme.
I didn't find it that interesting as it basically didn't have a story. I like to read novels and this couldn't really be called that.
Chole meets two wonderful men and build a friendship with them. These two men have unique closeness about them she could not place. These same two men made her deepest fantasy come true and supplied her with more desires.
