This book was good; very unrealistic, yet, an entertaining and wild ride. I didn't like the ending at all. I would likely categorize this as a slightly similiar version of the movie, Set It Off, in book form. What I loved most were hot, juicy sex scenes, I refer back to this book often for ideas (wink, wink).
𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙥:: Dean, a killer on the loose, ambushes his way into Audra’s home to hide out as he contemplates his next move. He holds Audra captive for days and what starts as a hostage situation turns into an explosive sexual lituation. 🔥

As they open up to each other, (in more ways than one) Audra soon becomes an accomplice in helping Dean in his scheme to save his daughter, against all odds.
𝙎𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙏𝙚𝙖 ☕️:: This is another oldie that I read 10 years ago. The book was good. But it’s the sex for me! 🥵 So good that I read the scenes to my man and he enjoys it too.
The story itself is a bit erratic, like all over the place. It was just a bit unrealistic that Audra would be so willing to throw it all away for her captor, leaving everything and everyone behind to be Bonnie to his Clyde. There’d have to be a lot of love and history there for me to even 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧 playing the Bonnie role. And the answer would still be no. IJS!
It was a bit adventurous to see them on the run, escaping and trying to survive in new territory. As a matter of fact, it suddenly dawned on me that the book is very similar to the movie, Queen & Slim. I haven’t watched the movie but... I wonder if this book was the inspiration.
I have several of Trista Russel’s books on my shelf, my favorite being Going Broke. I haven’t seen any new books by her in a long while. I’m wondering why many of my old auto-buy authors have been off the scene lately. 🤔
