Forget Me Not was my introduction to this author and also to the psychological thriller genre and let me tell you: I need more books like this in my life!

Reading this book was basically watching an episode of NCIS, only better because there was more romance and lots of spice! I honestly enjoyed every second.

These two were fantastic together! Their chemistry was off the charts. And I loved how they teamed up to solve these crimes, combining the two sides of the law to take down a common enemy. It was suspenseful, thrilling, and hot! I also really enjoyed how the author gave us POVs from the bad guys, it gave us some interesting insights into the heroine’s past and the reason why it was all happening.

If this author continues to write in this genre, you bet I’m gonna keep reading what she gives us.

I was provided an ARC of this book via the author, all opinions are my own.

Do you like mafia romance and are you a fan of thrillers? Then this is the book for you. Be aware of the author's warning that this book does have some pretty graphic crime scenes when it comes to the crime aspect and it has mature content when it comes to the romance.

This follows Autumn, who is a consultant for the police as a crime scene analyst, I was never actually clear if she was an FBI agent or not. There are a few statements in the book that lead you to believe that she is an agent while there are others that lead me to believe that she is not associated with the FBI at all. This being an ARC, this is a minor discrepancy that may have been corrected in the final edits and really doesn't impact the plotline at all. Autumn was kidnapped and traumatized several years ago, and now working with police herself her trauma has resurfaced in an active case that appears to be targeting her personally. The killer is also targeting the three major crime families in the city by taking out their daughters. At each crime scene there is some reference to Autumn's kidnapping and involvement in the original case. Autumn has to unravel the mystery as to who is behind these new crimes as she personally knows that her kidnapper cannot possibly be attacking these women.

Enter Nico Scala, a big shot lawer, who is known for his prowess with the ladies and being the nephew of one of the crime bosses. While Nico is not part of the family business, he is still part of the family and wants to avenge his cousin's death. He also happens to be ridiculously attracted to Autumn. As he inserts himself in to the case, he and Autumn find each other leaning on one another for support as the killer escalates. As the case heats up so do things in the bedroom between Nico and Autumn.

Overall I enjoyed this. It has some good twists and turns to keep you guessing. As the author mentions it is not a book for the faint of heart. The crime scenes are brutal and the there is quite a bit of adult content in the book.

Forget Me Not is Krys Rayne‘s first suspense romance and I thought she did a fantastic job. She is a new-to-me author and I am looking forward to more from her.

Autumn’s past is not for the faint at heart. It’s brutal and one of the reasons why she became an FBI profiler. What she didn’t expect when she showed up to a crime scene was to be thrown right back there to when she was eighteen. She was a strong woman but this case might very well break her. Then, he walks in. A charming lawyer who has ties to the mob and the victim. One who has a reputation. One who changes everything…

Nico Scala didn’t want to be involved but when he uncle has a request it’s hard to say no. He wants to catch a killer. What he didn’t expect was Autumn and his want for her. He needed to remember that he was working to catch the bastard who killed his cousin, not fall in love or even lust. Would they be able to find the killer before it was too late for him to strike again?

Quotes:

“Are you hiding a dirty secret, Miss Taylor? Something you don’t want to share with the class?”

“You don’t want to know that side of me, sweetheart. Trust me.”

“Maybe, but I’ll teach you Italian, starting with your body.”

This new to me author blew me away with this story!

Filled with suspense, thrills, and a romance that is wicked hot, this is the story of Nico and Autumn. This is about family secrets and tragedy. This is a story of vengeance and revenge.

While Autumn is on the right side of the law, Nico, well, he straddles it a bit, and in a good way.

A killer on the loose, Autumn has ties to this killer, and she is trying hard to atone for things that happened in her past. She is a survivor with a heavy dose of survivor's guilt that drives what she does.

Nico is the classic alpha male; add in the Italian background and "ciao calore"! He sees what he wants and goes after it. He is a bit of a bad boy with the heart of a gentleman, just the way I like them.

This is a fast-paced story that is going to keep you on the proverbial edge of your seat.

Wow! This author is amazing. This dark thriller will have readers barely hanging on. Autumn Taylor was always the odd man out in her family. They kept her in the house. Just when she decided to take the reins away, something happened. Autumn was kidnapped. She’s closed that chapter in her life, right? Seems her kidnapper might be back and is sending Autumn messages through his victims. Autumn is now a criminal analyst, and is determined to catch this person.

Nico Scala is a legit attorney with links to the mob. He can’t help who is family is. He made a vow to never get into that life. Once he sees Autumn , she is all he think of and all that he wants. What can he do to get her? Can he keep her safe? This book is a wild ride of darkness. Krys Raine knows how to weave a dark web and I am here for it.

"Forget Me Not" is a thriller-meets-romance story that follows crime scene analyst Autumn Taylor. Autumn's terrible past is haunting her as a present-day killer sends her threatening messages.

When Autumn meets Nico, a mafia-adjacent lawyer, her world is turned upside down. Nico's family is mafia, but he chose a different life. Crossing paths with Autumn brings that decision to a screeching hault when his family becomes the only thing that can protect Autumn.

I really enjoyed Nico and Autumn. They have wonderful, compelling backstories, and Nico is deliciously "touch her and d!e" without destroying  Autumn's independence.

There were a lot of different plot points for the length of the book. It all tied together nicely in the end (except the couple from the prologue, where did they go?), but I wish the storylines had been flushed out a bit more. The backstory was important, but perhaps if it had all been laid out in the prologue there would have been more time to focus on present character development.

Krys Rayne is a new author, and I am excited to see her growth as she continues to write. Overall, I truly enjoyed this book and will definitely read her next novel.

I received an ARC and offered to write an honest review.

This book had got making all sorts of gasping sounds and facial expressions. If anyone watched me they would have been entertained.
All I can say is, this would be a fantastic movie.
This is one of my 1st book of Krys Raynes. And I promise you it won't be last as I'm in awe of her writing...

I'm not usually that good with thriller but this was different. Was written so well, I felt I was in the book playing it all out with them.
I loved Autumn and Nico (swoon). Autumn is so brave but blames herself for the action of her kidnapper. Her past from 10 years ago comes crashing back and she is reliving that nightmare all over again. She was a broken woman but still tried to help with murder cases. But Autumn finds out her life isn't what she thought it was.

Nico is a lawyer and related to one of the top Mafias. That's not his world but he seems to keep getting pulled in by them.

Loved the flirting between Nico and Autumn.
The chemistry and heat between the two is just hot hot hot.

This book had it all. Thriller, Suspense, secrets, love, passion, hate, gore (very detailed gore by the way) and steam.

Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
There are few triggers, so please check before reading.

What another amazing read by Krys Rayne. "Forget Me Not "I had originally started with "Angel In the Dark"
So, it was inevitable that I read this one because it was just as good.
She is a new and upcoming author and I plan to read more. "Crush", is going to be another great read. I can't wait.

Autumn was abducted many years old ago and trying to forget her past by delving into something thing that might her hurt again. Herrera, her friend tried to help by taking some of her pain away.

When Nico came into her life, things changed.

Now that her past is coming back to haunt her Nico and Autumn have to fight together to save people's lives.

Will it be enough or will it be the end

I love this romantic thriller. I was so involved with wanting to find out the ending it had me gripped and white-knuckled hanging on to every word of this book
It had so many twists and turns. I didn't know what was going to happen. That's my kind of book. One that you can't guess what the outcome is until it's almost done.

I will give it 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
WOW and the spice was burning up the pages as you were reading it 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
This book I want on my bookshelf.
Thanks, Krys Rayne for another fabulous read
Can't wait for "Crush".

Nico and Autumn are the pure definition of opposites attract. I loved their banter together and that Autumn didn't just swoon over him because of who he is.

Nico comes from a mafia family but made a promise to his mother on her death bed to not go into that life. Autumn is a crime scene analyst whose "father" worked in the FBI.

This novel tells a story about Autumn being requested at a crime scene and the hunt to find this killer before it is too late. Little does she know that this killer is taunting her. Autumn has flashbacks to her traumatic past.

Can Autumn catch the killer? Can she deal with her past so she can move forward? Can she learn to be loved and feel cared for?

Thank you Krys Rayne for allowing me to read this book. :)

What a great book, it holds your attention from start to finish, I had a hard time putting the book down, so I read it in one sitting. Autumn walks out of her childhood home one day and ends up becoming a profiler with the FBI. There she has to deal with the worst psychopathic killer that those women of powerful mafia families have in mind. As a result, she meets lawyer Nico who is also doing his investigation because it also has to do with his family who are victims of the killer. The structure and the characters and their characters all flow into each other. The chemistry and attraction between them is palpable, I can say more but I advise you to read this story for yourself, it is well worth it, a super psychological story.

I received a Advance Reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Krys Rayne is a new-to-me author. Forget Me Not is a romantic suspense with mafia elements. I am a huge but picky romantic suspense fan and I don’t normally read mafia romances, but this one sounded interesting enough for me to give it a read. I was pleasantly surprised. Nico and Autumn’s story is engrossing, angsty and it even brought me to tears in some places. I was hooked from the start. I definitely recommend adding it to your TBR list.

I really enjoyed this romantic thriller. There’s so much drama, suspense and spice. It was entertaining from the very beginning and didn’t let up! I loved Nico and Autumn together. They were opposites from totally different backgrounds, but they made it work. This is an awesome story and the plot was gripping. *this was a complimentary copy via StoryOrigin and this is my honest review*

This was a very entertaining book by an up and coming author. From page one to the last it keeps you gripped and wanting more. You can tell the author spent quality time to get the realism of the crime scene and pulls the reader in to feel and 'see' the details.
The main characters have that 'perfect' chemistry that makes the reader want to both love them and give them a knock on the head *laughs*.
If you want to go on a wild ride please consider picking up this book and cozy up in your favorite chair or bed and dive into the world of crime, love and all in between.

Mafia, serial killers, and the police all converge together in this twisted story. The plot was very unique and engaging, leaving you wanting to keep turning pages to find out what exactly happened in Autumns sordid past, if they can catch a serial killer so similar to the one Autumn faced down once before, while keep the mafia at bay.

This is an Audiobook review..

Krys Rayne is a new author to me and I have to say WOW I was so impressed with this story and her writing style..I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it.
The story was intriguing and captivating and had me hooked from the start,It is sexy, dark and brilliant..The other thing that makes this story shine is the Narration By A.J Clarke she single handedly portrays all the characters in this book..Using her talent by giving each character a distinctive voice male and female...AJ is phenomenal her voice expressive and showed the right emotion at the right time, and I really enjoyed listening to her tell this story. She is a narrator that I will definately want to hear again.
Forget Me Not follows the story of Autumn Taylor a criminal Analyst and her mysterious past that haunts her...Something horrific happened to her and now that past seems to have come back to torment her.
Her latest case is a murder of the daughter of a Mafia Don and it suspiciously looks like the murders that plagues Autumns past.
It is investigating these murders that she comes across Lawyer Nico Scala who is the cousin of the murder victim and Nephew of her father...So he is also investigating her death.
Nico also has a reputatuion as a ladies man,he is gorgeous, charming and dangerous to the heart.
Eventually after many a sparring match with words,Criminal Analyst and Attorney come together to solve these crimes. But in doing so they get close and the attraction they feel for one another, turns into a passion that can't be denied. They are so HOT together and their intimate scenes are marvellously written.
Autumn is in danger though as the killers main focus is on getting revenge for the death of his father and he wants to take that revenge out on Autumn...But there is also someone else closer to home that wants Autumn dead...And Nico is determined to protect her.
I LOved Nico he came across as cocky and arrogant, but he wasn't that way really he had a heart of gold for the ones he loved...and he falls hard for Autumn, even though she plays hard to get.
Autumn has so much family drama it is unbelieveable...she is not used to anyone being cared about, she is a loner because of her past, and she has been given a bad hand in life...a life that was a lie...Secrets have been kept from her so it is understandable she finds it hard to trust..She is a strong courageous woman.
I loved listening to this story it was so Amazing, it could easily be made into a movie..and I found Krys Rayne's writing exceptional...I cannot wait to discover more of her books.
This is an Excellent Romantic Suspense and I enjoyed every minute of it.
5 Stars.

Autumn Taylor is an FBI profiler who has just caught a particularly gruesome case. A psychopathic killer, the creep targets Big Three mob families' women. He leaves them in a place that hits a little close to home for Autumn, in a way that's scarily reminiscent of a past encounter she had with a now-dead serial kidnapper.

Nico Scala, an attorney, presses her for information on behalf of his uncle, a Big Three mob boss, never expecting to become so attached to Autumn. When her life is at stake, he rises to the occasion to both protect her and get a little closer to her.

Reluctantly at first, Autumn returns his feelings despite being a loner, and the readers get a red hot romance from Ms. Rayne, complete with a sexy Italian lesson I'll never forget! Their chemistry sizzles on the page, and the urgency of catching the killer engrossed me throughout the book. Can a mob-associated attorney and an FBI profiler catch a psychopath before the psychopath catches Autumn? And can they connect and build a real, long-lasting love despite Autumn's harsh exterior and isolationist ways?

This is a fabulous book that kept me guessing until the very end, and it won't be the last book I read from Krys Rayne.

Nico and Autumn 🥰

Autumn Taylor is a FBI profiler. She’s working on a case. Catrina Casale. She’s the daughter of one of the Big Three Mafiosi. She met Nico Scala, lawyer working for his uncle Arthuro Casale. Catrina was his cousin and he wants to help Autumn to get the killer named The Forget Me Not. Autumn was kidnapped by Fox Winters but she survived. The killer used the same approach as Fox… but he is dead… Will Autumn be strong enough to find the killer who used the same method as her own kidnapper? and would she will be able to not fall for Nico?

This psychological thriller written by Krys Rayne is one of the best I read. Autumn surviving skills help her profiling killers. Nico is helping her get through her past trauma and she helps Nico finding peace with his parents death. Both broken and deceived by family, in that will born a wonderful love story. If you like the genre, you will be amazed by this book! I highly recommend it 5⭐️

Autumn is being chased by a serial killer after being traumatized by a kidnapping she went through a few years back. Nico Scala, a well known attorney who is also well known for his popularity with the ladies and ties to the mafia, clearly has an attraction to Autumn and steps in to help her. They end up falling for each other with Nico's protective touch her and die, I'll take care of it tendencies. The two of them have chemistry and the spice is pretty spicy between them. Lots of secrets are uncovered about Autumn, her family, and her past. There are twists ant turns. While the story was enjoyable and intriguing, there was something about the flow of it... it was losing me on and off. It was still a great read though and definitely recommend it if you like stories with mafia ties and a serial killers.

Forget Me Not" is a thriller Murder mystery, that will have you hooked till the end. The author Krys Rayne wrote a strong story with Great word building.

Nick to get answers for the murders and to protect Autum. After a few days Nick and Autum get real close. And to top it off the murderer leaves a clue of who’s doing itv. One is Austim sister and the other is someone from Autum past. You need to grab it and listen till to the end

First of, it would help, if before each chapter the name of who’s point of view it is. Otherwise it was kind of hard to read. The whole family connection from both were very complicated. The story itself was interesting and gripping, she could have worked more with the police, the love thing was a bit fast for my taste. I liked, that she did not go half cooked after the killer and asked for help. All in all an ok story with some flaws.

4 star Review Forget Me Not by Krys Rayne

Audio/eBook
Krys Rayne is a new author to me as is the narrator AJ Clarke.

From the first chapter to the last I was invested in the story that Ms. Rayne wove and although not a genre ai normally read I became invested in the story.

The narrator brought the characters to life for me. His voice was easy to listen too and he brought all the passion, and drama, to his performances.

This is a raw and gritty story that is not for the faint of heart.

I loved reading the crime scene and mystery element in this book. Mafia, stalking, murder, attempted murder, and a game of cat and mouse were great.
The love story kind of fell flat and forced. Nico goes from womanizer to completely in love in what feels like seconds. Autumn stays more level-headed but not by much. Spice was good, though.

Okay

The story was good, there was just something stopping it flow, especially the first half. It did become an "easier" read as the story progressed. It's possibly the attempt to hide certain details to make a mystery rather than just telling the whole story.
