I am so in lust with these covers in this series!! 😍 My favourite covers to date by this author!!

There I was wrapped up tight in all the feels, loving the new relationships blossoming, two best friends dating two best friends, finally reaching their fairy tales, loving where this story was taking me..

....UNTIL I reached a certain point in the book and like a detonating bomb going off it changed the whole story.. 💣 💣



IT WENT FROM LIGHT TO DARK... in a matter of moments, a volcano erupted and the tears started flowing, and it struck me yet again how much this author can blindside me. Teary eyed and runny nose, thank god we're in lockdown lol!! Who would've thought I'd be happy to say that lol!
There are no words to describe how much this book wrecked havoc on my heart.

This book was perfectly executed, from the sweet swoony loved up moments to the dark and gritty moments which ticked all my boxes.

Quinn has secretly been in love with Eli since her freshman year (age fourteen), he's always been on her radar. Living in a small town they even work across from each other, he runs his parents hardware store and she works in the florist 'The Green Leaf' across the street with her bestie Katie.

Eli has also been aware of the shy skittish girl Quinn but when he starts to spend more time with her he realises that he needs to handle her with care and become friends first before taking things further. Before things can really progress between them a life changing fork in their path has Eli protecting Quinn like the man his father taught him to be. Though it's a bumpy emotional road for a time but they do get their HEA...

This series is full of heart-stopping events as well as heart-saving ones so feeling like you’ve been in the laundry cycle at the end of each read is a given. Characters to love and fret over, Eli and Quinn had to weather a violent and gut-wrenching storm to find their HEA…

This story started off sweetly, with young love and lives just beginning. It was all shattered in an instant in scenes that pulled you into the horror and sorrow that followed. Eli was a protector and his fledgling feelings for Quinn were tested. Needless to say, he rose to the challenge and was Quinn’s biggest supporter…

This was another one emotional journey in this beautiful, but haunting series!!!
Another difficult ride full of heartache and second chances in life!!!
This was about love in the purest form and even though, it wrecked me, if I had the choice to bypass it or read it again for the first time, I will take the latter choice, cause this story deserves it!!!

Eli's feelings for Quinn is hiting him hard and no matter what, he is determined to stay by his loved one side and take care of her!!!

Quinn was so sweet and full of light... But in an instant her light was consumed by evil and darkness fell upon her life... I was hurting so much for her. I just wanted to hug her and shelter her from this cruel and unfair world... But thank God for her, she had powerful allies by her side... From the moment that Eli claimed her, she became a member of the Jackson family and that was something so precious!!!!

This was another one heartbreaking story by Michelle Heard's beautiful pen!!!
I love these characters and I love the twists that she is giving us through these stories, even though they are wrecking me!!!
And I'm waiting impatiently for the last story!!! I'm really wondering what she will give us next...
The only sure thing is that I need the tissues on hand by my side to get through it!!!

Omg.
If you thought the previous book gutted you, wait until you read this one.
Unlike the first one this book starts off quietly, I was lulled into a false sense of security, and that was my mistake. As when disaster struck the town...there are no words, especially none that won't give it away.
The strength of both the main characters will inspire you, I'm so glad they had each other and their families to lean on.
I'm not going to get over this book for a long time.

Quinn has always wanted Eli. But fate never gave them a chance to enact it. When tragedy strikes, forcing them together, maybe it is finally time for them to have what should have been theirs all along. When their demons return and Quinn loses everything, it is upto Eli to piece her back together. They will have the happy ending that should have been theirs all along.

This series is the one that I had missed by this author so when she went to restructure it and release it again, I knew I will not miss it this time! And what a ride it was. Michelle's books are contemporary and but ong, they pack a powerful punch of emotions! Her angst and words always pull me in and I can't remember a single book of hers that I did not finish in a single sitting.

This one was like that too. It was a second chance contemporary Romance with a bit of triggers and a little bit of darkness. Definitely recommending this one to all the contemporary romance loving people out there!

I love that Michelle Heard writes sequels and follow-up series that follow the children of the characters you have come to know from previous books. Eli Jackson is the oldest son of the main characters in Beautifully Broken, allowing the reader to see how far they have come in their healing journey in the decades since the first book.

Again, Michelle Heard has a way of writing women with inner strength despite their circumstances that pulls me in.

Please read the summary carefully and review the trigger warnings. This book is about learning to LIVE the life you’ve been given after tragedy/horror, and leaning on loved ones to help you heal.

Omg where do I begin with this book, this book had me balling my eyes out. This book revolves around Eli and Quinn. Eli and Quinn have know each other for years and both have had deep feelings for each other and Eli decides it’s finally time to act on those feelings. Both the characters are kind, loyal and caring to everyone. This book had so much depth and feeling me that were involved that you feel everything the characters go through. This book shows us he journey Quinn goes through to get her life back with the help or Eli. This book was written so beautifully that will break your heart and then out you back together. Defined recommend if you haven’t read you will not be disappointed.

I enjoyed some parts of the book but I didn’t like how insta love it was, and how Quinn just seemed to get over her trauma immediately after having one conversation, like it made no sense. It wasn’t gradual and just didn’t feel realistic. It felt very rushed at the bigger parts

i was fighting tears with this one😭 i knew that something terrible would happen bc of the synopsis, but WHAT happened still caught me so off-guard. i shot up from my reclined position and had to reread the entire scene twice because i couldn’t believe it.

i was not expecting this book to follow the son of the couple in the previous book but it was so nice to see them again in parenthood! this story was like an extended epilogue and a standalone story all in one.

the romance here was very sweet. puppy love DOWN and very fast paced. i didn’t really careeee for how quickly they moved along—like, i get it, but i think it means more when more time passes. don’t me wrong, eli and quinn and 100% endgame, but still.

(side note: bridgerton needs to take notes on how to handle this trope correctly. if the girl is going to be unrequitedly in love w the guy, you haveee to make it so the guy is OBLIVIOUS to this. eli was completely unaware of quinn’s crush and it made the romance not, yk, EMBARRASSING.)

the scenes with katie after ykw happened had me tearing up so bad 😭 quinn and katie’s friendship was so genuine and loving from beginning to end.

i loved seeing how eli was so patient with her and how he was able to go to his parents for more support on helping quinn deal with her trauma. the scenes between eli’s mom and quinn especially were so touching considering their histories.

i love these stories because you see how these women go from the actual worst moments of their entire lives and losing all hope, to rediscovering it again. i like it especially because their self-worth isn’t toxically entwined in their relationship with their man. the man is willing to wait weeks, if not MONTHS, for their girl to heal herself physically and emotionally and i love it.

Este libro fue cortito y a la vez tan lleno de emociones y que el protagonista sea el hijo de Damian y Cara lo hizo todo aún mas emotivo 🥺♥️

El romance entre Quinn y Eli fue algo hermoso, ellos llevaban años suspirando el uno por el otro pero ella nunca se acerco a el porque su tímidez se lo impedía y Eli no quería invitarla a salir porque sabía que ella era una mujer dulce que merecía ser amada y porque ella es la clase de chica que uno presenta a la familia y cuando sus amigos en común forman una pareja tienen la oportunidad perfecta para conocerse y formar una amistad que poco a poco pasa al amor.

Lo que le paso a Quinn fue horrible y fue triste leer como quedó después de lo que le hicieron, el daño para ella no fue solo físico si no también mental, ella sentía que no podía llorar por lo que pasó porque ella sobrevivió y desde su perspectiva no fue tan malo como lo que vivió su prima pero Eli con su compañía y amor incondicional la hizo darse cuenta que ella también fue víctima y que no debía de esconder sus sentimientos porque eso le hacía mal y fue un gran apoyo para que ella pudiera volver a recuperar su felicidad y aprender a vivir con el dolor de los que perdió 😭. La manera en la que se quedo al lado de ella en sus momentos mas difíciles y la ayudo a sanar, con un abrazo y en silencio era algo hermoso, el nunca dejo de amarla y mimarla porque sabía que ella era la mujer de su vida y nunca le soltaría la mano ya que desde un principio el juro que iba a amarla porque con ella quería pasar su vida entera ♥️🥺.

Every once in awhile, you read a book that pierces you to your very soul, and makes you feel more than you’ve ever thought possible. A book that transcends the written word, and a book that places you directly in the characters shoes.

Beautifully Hurt, a title so appropriate because I feel beautifully hurt. I am used to being shocked and left teary at times from Michelle’s books, but never have I been so physically and emotionally moved by a book.

In this book we meet Eli and Quinn. Eli is the son of Alex and Nina (who we met in Beautifully Broken), and he is the perfect mix of his parents. He is strong, slightly frightening, but the perfect mix of strength and emotion. He cares deeply, and protects those he loves fully. Quinn has been in love with Eli since she was a teen, but never thought he’d feel the same. She is so shy when it comes to Eli, but slowly we see her come out of her shell.

A horrific attack occurs to Quinn (one that even after finishing the book, I am still reeling from), and she isn’t sure how she will recover. Eli steps up as only Alex’s son would, and he is her protector and sounding board. Will they come through the darkness and prevail in the light? You have to read to find out.

I ugly cried, smiled, laughed, cried again and sighed throughout this book. It took me on highs and lows I never thought possible. Michelle has knocked it out of the park - even though I want to shake my fist at her.

This is a heartbreaking, poignant and suspenseful love story, and on more than one occasion, it’s a truly shocking one as well.

I love that Eli and Quinn are perfectly ordinary, everyday people going about their uncomplicated lives, and the relatively slow burn of their relationship is so genuine and believable. There’s so much humor and love between them and their family and friends. Quinn and her bff, Katie, are both carefree, and they share all their secrets, hopes and fears with each other. It seems their lives have been sheltered, growing up in their hometown of Southport

Sadly, bad things happen to good people, and as Quinn’s life spirals out of control, it is to Eli she turns for protection and support and to Katie for advice and reassurance. The author takes Quinn on a traumatic, bittersweet journey, but I love seeing how both Quinn’s character and her and Eli’s relationship mature and develop over the course of the book.

What an emotionally charged story! Yet again this author writes a story that will embed itself into your heart and soul. My heart was broken and put back together and I fell in love with Eli and Quinn. They have known each other for years and both had feelings for each other but never acted on it. Until one day Eli decides to take a chance with Quinn. These two are perfect for each other. Both are kind, caring and loyal people. But when something tragic happens to Quinn, can they both get thru it together?

Eli is a natural protector especially when it comes to Quinn. And Quinn has the biggest heart and no one should have to go thru what she did. But she is strong and resilient and I hoped throughout that she would heal from what happened. When I read a book and it makes me laugh or cry, I know it’s one of which I would highly recommend, and I most definitely do with this one!

Anticipation - heightens your expectations of what promises to happen, but the when and how remain a mystery. In a nutshell that explains my emotions and thoughts whilst reading Beautifully Hurt. My stomach was in my throat waiting for the world to end, whilst I was hopeful for the romance. Ms Heard writes stories that are relatable and you connect with the characters on a level that has you experiencing every emotion. Written from dual points of view and I loved the conversations between Quinn and Katie. Can be read as a standalone or get the whole experience by reading each book of the Beautifully Broken Series.

This is most certainly a powerful story of love.

Eli and Quinn have a beautiful slow burn romance going. Its so beautiful to watch blossom. Add in the humour and love between their family and friends and it really is so good to watch play out.

When tragedy strikes Quinn and her best friend Kate, when the unthinkable happens, it rocks them to their cores but Eli steps up in protective Alpha Male role and will do anything to keep Quinn safe, supported and to help her recover.

Whilst this one covers some hard topics that some may find hard to read, it is lighter in more places then Beautifully Broken

Wow! I thought the first book broke my heart...
although this is a standalone it can be read as part of a series.
This book is beautifully written and emotional.
Eli and Quinn will steal your heart... talk about soul mates.
How are you meant to feel when the one person you couldn’t protect was your world?
Love how the Jackson family stood by each other and just circled the wagons supporting and protecting Quinn.
This one definitely pulls at the heartstrings, have tissues ready.
A definite must read 💕

The girls get their wishes when Jason asks Katie out, Eli realising Quinn is shy becomes her friend first to build things slowly until she is ready.
When something happens Quinn needs Eli more than ever.
A truly wonderful story told with compassion and emotions.
A definite must read!

This NA romance didn't hold my attention as much as others by this author. It's beautifully written and the romance is lovely - the hero is the son of the couple from the first book in this series. Part way through, something dreadful happens and the characters have to deal with it. I found it a little predictable I suppose, but that's just me, after reading thousands of romances. It's available in kindle unlimited.

Both Quinn and Eli have loved each other.. Neither knowing or wanting the other to know.. Until one night when when a horrific tragedy strikes.. leaving Quinn far from the girl she once was.. Eli is there.. with time and patience he is hoping he can bring the girl he has always loved back to him..

I loved every word of this story.. Michelle ripped my heart out.. but like she always does.. she slowly puts it back together. Thank you Michelle Heard for the beautiful words..

This was one of the most breathtakingly beautiful love stories I’ve read. I was surprised when I saw that book 2 was Cara/Nina & Damian/Alex’s, f/book 1, son! Eli was just as amazing as his dad. I loved reading book 1, but I totally fell in love w/book 2.
Quinn went through hell when she was shot & had to watch her best friend Katie & Katie’s family get killed right in front of her. She survived the attack, but the real struggle was surviving afterwards. Eli was beyond amazing. He was patient, gentle when she needed it & firmer when she needed to be pushed. But it was Nina I think who was exactly the voice & mother she needed the most.
This story was devastating, emotional, raw, & intense. I laughed at times, but I had tears in my eyes a lot too. Especially when Quinn was talking to Katie in her dreams. I absolutely devoured this book & fell in love w/Eli & Quinn. She was his treasure & he treated her exactly as that. And the epilogue was the best! It was beautiful, touching & sweet!
