A Christmas Wedding. A record storm. A best man and maid of honor who can’t stand each other—what could go wrong?
Garrett Davis is looking forward to his brother’s upcoming wedding. He fully approves of his soon-to-be sister-in-law and is excited for her to join the family. The only problem? Her bossy, know-it-all best friend, Sage. Things were going just fine until she showed up at the guest ranch and took charge as if she owned the place. Worst of all, Garrett is intensely attracted to her … a fact he intends to keep to himself.
Sage Elliott is determined for her friend to have the wedding of her dreams, and she’s not about to let some backwoods best man interfere with that goal. Garrett may be handsome, but he’s entirely too opinionated for her taste. Besides, Sage has recently come out of a relationship and isn’t looking for a romantic connection … even if her gaze does drop to his all-too-kissable mouth more times than she cares to admit.
Complications arise when a record storm closes in before the wedding day and Garrett and Sage are forced to work together to improvise. Will the chemistry building between them heat up the frigid Montana winter, or will their friction lead to disaster?
Cozy up to this sweet, feel-good romance today! All books in this series can be read alone, but this book was written as a follow-up to Snowed In at the Ranch. Enjoy!
Holly Stevenson loves to read, eat out, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends. As a former flight attendant, she has plenty of traveling hours under her belt, but never tires of exploring new places. Holly has a weakness for any combination of chocolate and caramel. She rarely sleeps in, preferring the early morning quiet to accommodate her incurable writing addiction. She is blessed to live with her favorite people: her husband and four kids, in a house overlooking the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
I love a good “opposites attract” story where the attraction is strong but the couple are fighting themselves to stay apart. In this ought-to-be-a-Hallmark-movie we meet Sage, a super-organized maid of honor who just broke up with her boyfriend but is hiding that fact so she won’t cast a shadow over her best friend’s wedding. She can’t be bothered with the handsome best man, Garrett, who has earned his reputation as a ladies man but wants to change his ways and settle down like his brother Levi. Somehow they have to find a way to work together on the wedding despite the rocky start to their relationship. I loved the vibe of the people in Garrett’s family and the beautiful setting of the Canyon Creek Ranch which add character and depth to the book. It’s a great read for the holidays—or anytime for that matter. I received an ARC from the author and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.
This story was fun and romantic and I really enjoyed reading it. It made me want to stay at the Canyon Creek Ranch during the month of December. I liked the sexy characters, the warm, glowing fires, and the ice skating. These all seemed to cast their spell on Garrett and Sage, who are best man and maid of honor for the wedding of Levi and Rachel. Too bad Levi believed Rachel had a steady boyfriend back home. The unique wedding, because of the weather, was beautiful and I especially enjoyed the romantic ending to the book. I would love to return to the Canyon Creek Ranch for another story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Snowed In at Canyon Creek Ranch By Holly Stevenson Main Characters: Sage and Garrett I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 5 out of 5 stars Canyon Creek Ranch is the setting for Levi and Rachel's Christmas wedding. Sage being Rachel's best friend is also the maid of honor. And Garrett is the best man. These are two opposite people but are very attracted to each other. Sage is a city girl who recently broke up with her boyfriend but does not want anyone to know because she wants a perfect wedding for her BFG. Now, what could go wrong with that? This was a nice clean romance with a HEA ending.
Sage is so funny in her perfectly scheduled world. I thought she was going over the top to make her best friend's wedding perfect. Garrett is so thoughtful - of course, he's working really hard to act differently to get different results from his life - he's at a crossroads in his life. I love how they are like magnets and keep coming together. I love how well developed these characters are. They are so amazing. I love how they keep seeing the wolves that are around the wood around the ranch. How Sage, from Arizona, is amazed by the snow and thinks it's beautiful, but hates is - sort of. I love how fiercely Garrett loves the land he grew up on and is a part of. What a great story. I enjoyed reading this very much!
Canyon Creek Ranch had no guests for Christmas, just family and friends for Levi and Rachel's wedding. Garrett had been helping his mother decorate for the bridal shower. Sage was just arriving and they met on the stairs. It was not a good beginning. A wonderful Christmas romance with a secret, some surprises and a loving family. Garrett and Sage are the perfect Best Man and Maid of Honor. Curl up with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy this great story.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Garrett will have to work with the maid of honor to organize his brother's wedding. Sage is so worried about the wedding being perfect that she doesn't tell her best friend and bride to be about her own failed relationship. Cute humorous romance. Find out what really makes a wedding perfect. I received an ARC and am willingly leaving an honest review.
Another great read from this author!! I love everything she writes!! Again I was drawn into this book and didn’t want to put it down! Such a cute romance! Love the characters and everything just seems real! A must read!
I loved everything about this book. The setting at Canyon Creek was beautiful and the characters were great! The author brought the book to life with her words and you felt like you were there. Sage and Garrett's story was a sweet heartwarming romance that was a joy to read. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This was another great addition to the Snowed In series. It is fun to read a new story that brings in characters from the other books in the series. I love books that bring you along as another member of the friends/family group and this one does that wonderfully.
Sage had come to Canyon Creek from Arizona to be the maid of honor for her best friend's wedding. She was marrying the love of her life. It is close to Christmas and the snow is falling in Montana. Sage's boyfriend, Brice, had just broken up with her but she didn't want to ruin Rachel's wedding happiness by telling her about her heartbreak so she decided to keep it a secret until after the wedding.
Garrett dropped a load of boxes on Sage's head as she arrived at the ranch; not the best introduction. Garrett had the reputation of being a bit of a ladies man but when he met Sage, she was the only one he wanted to be around. Unfortunately, he is constantly reminded that she isn't available because she has a boyfriend. The connection was definitely there but he was not one to cheat or encourage cheating so he would just have to keep his distance. Sage is a planner and Garrett is more spontaneous. He is the ying to her yang. Would their chance at happiness ever be possible? You'll have to read to find out.
This story is a clean, wholesome, romantic read with more than one happy ending and is appropriate for anyone who wants to read a book that just makes you feel good.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Sage lives by her planner and Garrett has not been penciled in. It was so much fun seeing Sage and Garrett work together to help with the wedding of her best friend and his brother. She was so prickly but Garrett was willing to take the chance of getting close to her. Some great lessons were learned and I absolutely loved the ending.
Can Sage accept improvisation and be free to love Garrett? She is her best friend's maid of honor and Garrett is his brother Levi's best man. A chance in love and life surrounded by snow in an idillic place in the mountains. Sweet.
I made it to Chapter 3 and couldn't read any further. That is why I gave the book 2.0 stars. I didn't like this book and reading it was making me feel annoyed & aggravated. Others may like it just fine but I find that all of the animosity & bickering found in books like this with an "Enemies to Lovers" trope for a storyline are more upsetting than entertaining. Especially if the battle is written with a heavy hand which this one was.
I think it is extremely hard for a writer to make very unlikable main characters engaging enough to catch a reader's interest and keep them reading, especially if there are no other more positive elements to balance out the snark & nastiness of that very unlikable character (i.e. humor, other fun elements or characters, compelling inner dialog, depth of character, personal growth, etc.)
So, I could not get into this book at all. I can't see a person going somewhere for a friend's wedding and immediately turning one of the groom's family into enemy #1 (while she's a guest in his home!) because he accidentally dropped some EMPTY boxes on her.
To Sage, the female main character, it made sense to NOT tell her best friend (the Bride) that she'd broken up with her boyfriend because she didn't want to ruin her wedding ... BUT it was perfectly fine to be in a bad mood, snipe at people, and target the best man for bullying & harassment. (!!?!) Like her behavior will have no affect on the wedding. This just makes absolutely no sense to me! smh 🙄.
I was especially flummoxed when the author wrote that the leading man, named Garrett in this book, became sooo attracted to Sage and thought she looked sooo beeea-utiful that he was starting to fall for her while she was insulting him & being an immature horrible nasty selfish witch. That was pretty much the thing that made me call it quits.
Most people know how to be polite in social settings. This leading lady, Sage, was unforgivably rude & knew she was but didn't care... Drama Queen. 🙄 The premise was flawed to begin with and made it impossible for me to read this story or take it seriously especially with such an unlikable leading character. Not my kind of book. 😝
This was a fun story to read. Garrett's brother is getting married at their ranch and he is the best man, hoping all goes well. Sage is the maid of honor to this wedding and is very much a perfectionist. She wants her friend to have the perfect wedding. After meeting and immedicably feeling a connection they struggle with their relationship when Sage claims she has a boyfriend. After an avalanche happens and traps them at the ranch with much of the wedding supplies not able to make it, they learn to make the best of what they can and build their relationship in the process. It is a good reminder that what we think needs to happen and are sometimes disappointed that didn't happen isn't always what is best. Sometimes trouble brings happiness! I was given an ARC of this book, I left this review voluntarily. All opinions expressed are my own.
Garrett was a ladies man but now with his cousins married and his brother getting married he is wishing he could find the right girl so he too could settle down. Being the best man for his brother has made the desire even more prevalent. Sage has come to Canyon Creek Ranch to be the maid of honor for her best friend. She plans to make it a perfect wedding. Even though she is devastated by the recent breakup of her longtime relationship she plans to pretend she is happy and not have her friend grieve for her. Little did Sage know that when the best man crashed into her would be the start of something special. Can she put behind her loss to find a happily ever after?
Cute snowed in story. The attraction part of the romance moves super quick but I liked that they actually develop a relationship before deciding to cement it. You know, like they aren't getting married a week after meeting each other. I liked the main characters even if Sage is a little uptight about things. The ranch sounds like a fun place to spend some time. I loved how relaxed everyone was, except Sage, when things really went amuck and they just made the best of it without worrying over what was missing and out of their control. Beautiful attitude to have in life. Lovely to read sitting by the fire sipping hot cocoa....
No sex, language or violence *I received a complementary copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I loved this heartwarming and clean Christmas romance with wonderful characters you want to know and a sweet story that immediately captivated me and kept me totally involved in all that was happening until I read the last word. I enjoyed the instant attraction and undeniable chemistry between Garrett Davis and Sage Elliott who meet when she comes to Canyon Creek Ranch when her best friend marries his brother. If you enjoy Hallmark style romance, you will love Snowed in at Canyon Creek Ranch by gifted author Holly Stevenson. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I wanted a clean, easy, fun, holiday read. And that's what I got. But the longer I read, the more frustrated I became with the lack of substance. I have no idea why anyone in this book loves anyone else, except that they are gorgeous, and hot, and smell good. There was very little character developing dialogue. And their hearts did troubling things. Sometimes they would skid to a stop, other times they would race or pound or hammer. Sometimes their eyes and spine would also do troubling things. There was kissing, longing, and misunderstandings, but by the end, I was just happy to finish and move on.
Sage's job is to make sure her best friend's wedding is perfect but the groom's brother, Garrett is causing a lot of distraction. This sweet romance was so fun to read. Garrett shows Sage all the wonders of living on the ranch and how much fun snow can be. I loved how close the families are and how willing everyone was to help when they got snowed in.
Get comfortable, you'll want to read in one sitting.
I am loving the Snowed In, clean romance series. Ms. Stevenson's characters are portrayed as lovable and realistic people that you would like to be snowed in with. She uses words to paint lovely scenery and romantic situations. But most of all, her stories stir my emotions.
It is great to be back at Canyon Creek Ranch. Rachel and Levi's wedding is about to take place. Enter Sage, the maid of honor who lives by her planner, and Garrett, Levi's brother who meets Sage when he drops some boxes on her. To say the least, they don't get off on the right foot. This has a great story line. Good clean book.
When Sage gets to her best friends wedding she is surprised. Garrett is carrying an arm load of empty boxes and accidentally dumps them on her. She isn't impressed. She has a wedding to plan. Can he help her? Will she let him?
I loved this book and the characters. Even though I was given a copy of this book by the author, it in no way influenced my opinion and this is my honest review.
I received an ARC to review: Holly brings romance, humor, and a touch of faith to Garrett and Sage's story. A sweet, clean read that hooks you in as you snuggle in and follow their journey 💟
