Down on my luck… that’s what people would say is happening. I’m single, although no surprise there. Orphaned. Again, I have been for a while now. But now, I get to add unemployed to that impressive resume. The job on the Christmas tree farm was just supposed to be something to get me by, keep a roof over my head. It wasn’t supposed to be one of those life-altering jobs. But that’s only until he shows up. So, I guess the jokes on me…
Let’s just say that mysterious is an understatement.
It’s really no surprise that I blatantly ignore my gut and boss’s warnings to stay the hell away. Danger has always been my friend. I guess you can say it’s in my blood. Which now makes sense, why I’ve never been satisfied by love, life… sex. And when our secrets come to life. It no longer surprises me why we were drawn to one another.
A dark romance Christmas story
**Trigger Warnings: violence, crime, childhood trauma, explicit language and sexual situations, kinks which include: bondage, spanking, knife play, blood play, voyeurism, slight humiliation
Hatfield is working at a Christmas Tree Farm and when her boss’s brother shows up she can't stay away, despite being warned to.
I really enjoyed this book. Its super spicy and I loved the chemistry between Hattoe and Nico. And the twists were great, they kept me turningvtbe pages to see what would happen next
Christmas might’ve just become my favorite holiday! This novella has checked all your items on your naughty list. I was hooked with Hattie’s smart attitude and could not get enough of her and her stalkers dirty mouth. The author throws your right into it, so expect a fast & spicy pace with some shocking twists and turns that keep you turning the pages. This is definitely a dark romance especially when certain characters come out and play, so check your trigger warning. It is a standalone but I recommend reading “…When in Hell” too for the whole experience.
The push-pull relationship of Nico and Hattie was EVERYTHING. I loved that there was a bit of bdsm thrown into the mix, with a dab of life-and-death danger.
I didn't see the twist coming at the end, but I loved being reacquainted with two certain characters.
But they were never going to let it be a novella, it's a baby novel.
They both have pasts that they don't want to deal with.
“You want me to kidnap you, Barbie? Cause we can play that game…” His eyes trail down my body as his tongue slowly licks his bottom lip. “I’m really good at that game.”
“I want to watch you come apart while you use my hand to f*** yourself.”
This Christmas novella had everything you could ask for in a holiday romance read.
Bite sized but still has a plot? Check. Kidnapping? Check. Slight stalking? Check. Voyeurism? Check. Knife play? Check. Getting tied up with Christmas tree lights? Check.
Like really. What more could you possibly ask for?? There's even a Santa suit. This book was spicy (like ultra spicy) but still sweet, and left you rooting for Hattie and (him). If you like your Christmas reads on the darker side of things, definitely check this one out!!
I was completely intrigued from the very beginning.
There was no way I was missing out on this book as it is part of the When In Hell series (reading the first book isn't necessary). From beginning to end there wasn't one thing I didn't love about this story. Hattie has met her match in Nico and he in her...they are perfect for each other. The mystery revolving around him is part of what kept me so engrossed in this story...I needed answers. I couldn't wait to see how it tied into When In Hell and once it finally did I was excited to see who pops up in the story. It is the perfect dark Christmas story with plenty of spice, a bit of suspense, and an HEA.
Hattie hasn’t had an easy life then when she loses her job in HR she takes what job she can get . Working on a Christmas tree farm dressed as a sexy elf was never what she saw herself doing but hey it’s a job . Then she meets him she’s not sure who he is or what he’s called but she feels the pull between them from the start. I loved this story the chemistry between Hattie and Nico was off the charts it was hot , steamy and kept me wanting to read on.
I am loving all these Christmas novella’s at the moment. This one was seasonal, naughty and dark, all wrapped in a nice pretty bow. Merry Christmas!
Hattie needs to find a job ASAP after her last job the company shut down without warning. She finds a Christmas tree farm and is in luck when, Brett, let’s her work as the elf.
Nico comes into town, he is Brett’s brother and hasn’t been back in 8 years. He helps his brother with the farm, as well as getting an eye fall of a little minx of an elf.
Hattie and Nico can’t help the magnetic pull they have towards each other. So when Nico turns up at her apartment and asks to take her for drink, she couldn’t say no, mainly because he wouldn’t let her, but that’s a technicality.
This little book had some twists and turns, which I loved! Along with plenty of steamy scenes.
I would recommend that you read this book this Christmas, if you are looking for something a little more … bloody 😉
Now looking at Christmas tree lights with different eyes after reading this deliciously naughty and dark Christmas novella by N Tetterton. What a wonderfully dominant H we had in Nico, he was everything you want in a book boyfriend and more. Add to that a feisty FC who knows what she wants and is willing to go after it and you have chemistry that is off the charts. Loved this one, definitely an alternative to some of the Christmas novellas out there.
This book is good but also a lot of chaos and therfore will I only give it 3 stars.
Multiple times though the book does it feels like we are missing important information and don't really get the answer to what is going on but at the same time we do get a little information but not enough.
This book is filled with stalking, murder, knife play, bondage, oral play and other good stuff
