Emmy's interest in romance can be traced back to her love of Nancy Drew books, when she tried to solve the mysteries of her favorite detective while rereading the romantic chapters with Ned Nickerson. Fast-forward a few years when she discovered a worn copy of "A Rose in Winter" by Kathleen Woodiwiss on her mother's bookshelf, and she was hooked. Over 20 years later, Harlequin Presents made her dream come true by offering her a contract for her first book.

When Emmy isn't writing or reading, she's chasing around her baby boy, feeding her menagerie of fur babies or carving out a little time on her front porch with her firefighter hubby.

ARC provided by NetGalley and Harlequin in exchange for an honest review.

Prince Cassius aka Cass Morgan, our hero has been frequenting the bar that our heroine Briony works at. They have been conversing and becoming aquatinted. The two are developing a start of a friendship, but definitely underlining sexual tension is present. Briony believes he's just a wealthy business men visiting their small town. But Cass is on a mission. Briony is a princess and he's here with the purpose of letting know of her heritage and to ask for her hand in marriage.

Cass want's revenge. Revenge on the man who exiled him from his homeland when he was young and that man is Briony's father. He has a plan and that involves marriage to Briony.

Briony's is taking care of her self-centered family. Her stepfather has a gambling and alcohol problem. And her stepsisters with typical dispositions of life not being fair to them and I hate you. They didn't have much respect for her or affection. And then add money problems, due to her stepfathers gambling, life was not easy for Briony.

Cass's realizes he needs to tell Briony why he's actually in town. When he does Briony is somewhat disappointed, she was hoping that their was the beginning of a friendship developing or hopefully maybe more.

Cass shares with Briony about her family and his hope for marriage for them both. The marriage would benefit them both. He can take care of all financial needs and have her stepfather get help for his addiction. He is well off and can assist in her country's financial problems, a country he's dedicated too.

Briony agree's, they leave the only town she's every really known and off to meet her new family. But she will soon find out her father is a disappointment and Cass has no plans to fall in love.

They both slowly become closer and are more honest with each other in what they both want. Cass comes clean pretty early about his need for revenge. And Briony is working through her realationship and expectations for those around her.

This was a satisfactory read. I did find the beginning to be somewhat confusing, felt like I was dropped in the middle of a story. So the start was confusing and slow for me. I had to push through and about a third way in I found myself more engaged in their HEA. Also the epilogue was a disappointment. It just gave the basic's for an epilogue.

Emmy Grayson continues to prove to be one of Harlequin Presents’ most exciting and talented new writers with a fabulous royal romance brimming with passion, intensity and drama: A Cinderella for the Prince’s Revenge.

Life hasn’t been a bed of roses for Briony Smith. Since the death of her beloved mother, she has had a lot to cope with. Her grief-stricken stepfather is depressed and seeking solace in online gambling, her two stepsisters take her for granted and she juggles looking after the family and the household with working in the local bar in her hometown in Kansas. Briony has a lot on her plate, so romance is the last thing on her mind, but even she has noticed handsome newcomer Cass who has turned the head of every single woman in town!

The two of them have been indulging in a little flirtation over the last few weeks and although Briony is drawn to the good-looking stranger, she daren’t hope that their flirting could lead to anything more. However, little does Briony realize that Cass isn’t all that he seems. He isn’t a businessman, but a prince who drops a bombshell that knocks her six: Briony is a long-lost princess who will be his wife in eight weeks!

Briony cannot believe her ears! Not even in her wildest dreams could she imagine that the father she had never met was a king! She always imagined that she would marry for love, but Cass could give her the money she desperately needs to pay off her family’s debt, get her stepfather into rehab and give her stepsisters a future. Finding herself without no other choice but to say yes to Cass’ proposal, Briony leaves everything behind and agrees to a marriage of convenience. Only, she soon realizes that there is nothing convenient about her feelings for Cass…

The more he gets to know his soon to be bride, the more Cass falls for Briony. But having seen how destructive love could be, Cass refuses to share his heart with her. Dare he let down his guard and let Briony in? Or is Cass about to let the love of his life slip through his fingers?

Emmy Grayson understands what readers love about the Harlequin Presents line and never fails to deliver powerful and emotional romances that hit the spot every single time.

A Cinderella for the Prince’s Revenge is a spellbinding contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. Briony and Cass’ love story is highly-charged, angsty, emotional and one that tugs at the heartstrings. The two of them are evenly matched and brilliantly suited and readers will love every single second they spend with them.

Emmy Grayson’s A Cinderella for the Prince’s Revenge is a first rate romantic read from this fast-rising star of the Harlequin Presents line.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Cinderella for the Prince's Revenge is a June '22 new release which is full of exciting adventure and emotional intensity that I really enjoy from Emmy Grayson.

Bartender Briony is shook when the most attractive man in the world offers his hand in marriage in a world far away with a family she knows nothing of. Hoping he's done his best to convince Briony who she is and her rightful place in his world, Cass is relieved when she walks around the corner to meet the plane. Leaving the dysfunctional family who treat her like dirt is silent satisfaction for Briony, although walking into the unknown isn't lost on her. Raising a toast to new adventures and the unknow sparks the blazing adventures ahead.

Capturing regal life and monumental luxury, Emmy Grayson, writes a beautiful about the most funny and delightful Princess who is paired against the most beautifully strong and handsome Prince. Swirling in the background is truly awful families which add to the fairy-tale. Attraction is instant but is Briony ready to enter the loveless marriage Cass is offering? Cass's slow burn revenge is his sole driver. Any appeal to Briony is more an inconvenient aversion to his main goal. The transformation from Cinderella to Princess is most enjoyable.

As a regular reader of Harlequin Presents, I'm compelled to suggest Harlequin take stock of how many titles in the last 12 months that they've included "Cinderella" ... but unlike most stories of poor girl turned rich; A Cinderella for the Prince's Revenge really does do a fantastic job creating a Cinderella in Briony and a Cinderella-like world.

I really enjoyed Emmy Grayson's latest release and I'm very much looking forward to Briony's brother's story.

As I've said before, I'm a sucker for Cinderella and class difference stories. Adding to that, Briony, the heroine, was also a lost princess. Cass, the hero and a prince in his own right, went to Kansas to meet and offer her marriage that would not only help her out of a desperate family and financial situation, but would also allow him to get his revenge on Briony's long-lost father, king of Linnaea. I loved that though Cass kept secrets about this from her, they didn't stay secrets the whole book. Instead, the story took aturn involving Cass's own struggles against loving Briony, as the king had banished Cass and his family over a relationship the king had had with Daxon's aunt. I loved that Briony got to meet her brother Alaric, and am excited to read his book. This was a quick and easy read, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for fans of the Cinderella trope. Briony is strong, and Cass was ultimately a good guy, so don't be fooled by the revenge thing.

Quick Summary: Sweet and tender in the best way

My Review: A Cinderella for the Prince's Revenge by Emmy Grayson was surprisingly sweet. I loved it. From the beginning C and B had remarkable chemistry. They seemed to connect with each other, even though they had not known each other for very long. They each had endured hardships, they each wanted to do right by their loved ones, and they each deserved something special for themselves. Their romance/love story was tender and beautiful. The trueness of their hearts showed that love can conquer all.

Prince Cassius is looking for Briony, a bartender who doesn’t know she is a real princess. He finds her in Kansas at the bar she works at trying to support her step-family since her mother passed away. Her step-father never cared about Briony. He’s an alcoholic and a gambler. It’s time he takes care of everything himself. Aka, Cass Morgan, finds her very attractive and senses the sexual tension underneath their friendly acquaintances. He lets her believe that he’s a wealthy businessman in town for business.
Now that he finds her, he can plan his revenge against her father, the King of Linnaea, who exiled his family. Now that he told her whovage was, he will offer Briony help with her step-family if she agrees to marry him. She would be free of them and that’s all she wants so she agrees. Now Cass takes her to Linnaea to meet her real family, though she’s not sure she’d be welcomed. The more she spends with her father and brother, she realizes that her father will never care about her. He brother accepts her and welcomes her into the family. She finally belongs. She’ll prove that she can be useful to her country. Cass helps her with family since he already talked to her brother about a contract. He is starting to have feelings for her. Revenge is an afterthought. He helps the country out and he is allowed back in his country again. After all he’s still a prince. This was a wonderful story and I loved it. Worth the read

Prince Cassius aka Cass was on a lookout for Briony whom he identify as his future wife. He want a revenge on the man who cause him to be forced out of his country. The man is Briony’s father.

Briony on the other hand know nothing about her biological father who is King of Linnaea. She is busy taking care of her stepfather who is a gambling addict and alcoholic and her stepsisters who has no respect to her.

The proposal from Cass will allow her out of a desperate financial situation and in return, allow him to get his revenge on Briony’s father.

It is a sweet read for me. It is a story of revenge, betrayal and love. The chemistry between Cass and Briony is remarkable.

No one would guess that small town bartender Briony Smith is a princess until the man intent on taking revenge on her biological father finds her and proves it to her. But what he has in mind isn't exactly what Briony wants. He's out for a business relationship while she wants love, something she hasn't received from her stepfather or stepsisters.

But Prince Cass is too fearful of allowing emotions to govern his actions--that is, until Briony breaks through the barriers he's erected for so long.

The trouble is, one or both of them is likely to be hurt, maybe even heartbroken when they admit what they want. Who will it be and will Bri go back to the bar in small town Kansas?

Cassius Morgan Adama, Prince of Tulay, reached Kansas over a week ago in search of his future wife, Briony Smith.

Briony leads a miserable life and works at a small-town bar. She couldn't help the excitement of feeling something for the new bloke in town, a rich guy who arrived on some business, and the heated gazes she received from him.

Cass has his agenda laid out. Of revenge and marriage. But first, he had to ensure that Briony knew about her real family.

A Cinderella for the Prince's Revenge is every bit a modern fairy tale with twin stepsisters, not in a starring role and thankless instead of cunning.
In a split second, she found herself caught between two worlds. Hopeless loneliness and a want so fierce it made her whole body ache.

This is my first read by Emmy Grayson and I'm floored by the way she writes her male protagonists. How self-aware and conscientious they are. Cass seems to be one of the most sensitive royals I've ever read.
Loving family isn’t a requirement...

(Yes. It should come naturally.)
This was a through-and-through Cinderella story with a sprinkle of revenge. It concludes with a beautiful epilogue and what seems to be quite the introduction to the next story in the series.
...she’d continued to hold out that maybe, one day, she would do enough, be enough, to be loved in return.

I loved how Briony grew from strength to strength. Her changing character arc was a joy to observe.

Grieving Briony has been playing servant to her stepfather and stepsisters and working shifts at the local bar. When Cass Morgan - secretly Prince Cassius - comes into her bar, the last thing she expects to hear from him is that she is a princess. Cass is dealing with the pain of losing his homeland at a young age and to enact revenge, he wants to marry Briony, the daughter of the man who exiled his family. Briony knows his offer of marriage isn't about love, but can she overcome it when she finds out it's about revenge? And can these two override their barriers and find love?

Honestly, the title drew me in (a Cinderella story with a hint of revenge? Color me intrigued). The book is a fun, quick read. I liked Briony and appreciated that she began to separate her self-worth from her selflessness. Cass was only ok in my book - definitely brooding but very much the "stuffed shirt" that Briony described him as. I appreciated the secondary characters like Alaric and Clara - I have a sneaking suspicion their story is the next one in the duology!

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin for this advanced e-arc! All opinions my own

Really enjoyed this one, especially after a good start but which was rather unsurprising (well, it's already all there in the blurb, LOL)
But this really came together for me when Briony sat up and started to come into herself, then wouldn't let anyone get in her way of being a beautiful human with a selfless heart. That was the true joy for me, and then to watch Cass fall for her (despite the insta-lust! He really fell as the story went on) I was so in for them to get their happy ending, which did not disappoint!
My first Emmy Grayson romance, but certainly not my last!

3.5⭐️ while I didn’t DNF this, it was probably the M&B book I’ve least enjoyed so far. The story didn’t really seem fleshed out other than the fact Briony was a princess and Cass wanted her to carry out his revenge. Once that was achieved within the first 30-40 pages, it all fell a bit flat.

I felt also that the supporting characters Alaric / Clara again didn’t seem very well fleshed out and likeable…they were just there to forward the plot. Still, I finished it and it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve read.

I've been reading these Harlequin's for a literature theory class study on romance, specifically Harlequin romances... I love them, LOL. I feel a bit like an 80 year old in a retirement home eating these up but they're lowkey so entertaining.

Like most Mills and Boon books, it felt rushed and only centered around their lust for each other, not love. The only reason I read it through to the end cause I'd already bought the book....it was on sale🤷

A fun romantic read, with a girl's dream being a princess come true. But the bad guys is the girl's dad, not her stepdad.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Presents for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. It is always a treat to be gifted a book from Harlequin. This is a totally unbelievable book-but who cares! I truly enjoyed it. I read for many reasons, and this one was just to have fun and read about something that would never happen to me. The characters are interesting. Briony is delightful. Seems that Cass needed someone like her in his life. 3.5 stars. I think most romance readers would enjoy.

A very good start

This is the 1st book in the series and it didn’t disappoint. The H was out for revenge so he found the h who was the illegitimate daughter of his nemesis. Her father, the King had banished his family, the King didn’t know about the h. The King was a very mean, nasty person. The h was a very beautiful, sweet and kind person who took care of her stepfather and sisters. She was upset when she discovers that she was a pawn for the H. They were able to find their HEA. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Great epilogue.
